**Disclaimer** - The above pic of the CaseLabs case is not my build. Though it is gorgeous . First post here on the LTT forums (mainstay over at OCN). Thought I'd introduce myself and get to know everyone over here by starting my new build log. This is my first build since 2014 (see my Puff's Punisher S3 Build). I was forced to sell that build shortly after building it due to a sudden move and I've been itching for a new build ever since. Well, today (or in a month when my SMA8 rev. A arrives) is the day. This build will be my daily workstation that focuses on VM's, mining, and a little gaming on the side. So a little bit for everyone. For these purposes I've chosen to build around the Threadripper 1950x and x399 platform. Below is a list of components I've ordered/will be ordering and it will be updated regularly along with images as parts arrive. Feel free to chime in to discuss the physical components or the daily uses for this build as there are many. Links are to where I purchased these items though the prices have changed on some since I purchased them. Workstation Components CaseLabs SMA8 rev. I currently have a S8S, Space is currently becoming an issue (Mainly GPU & Radiators are hitting one another (bending the fins). What would be the best option Grab? Merlin SM8 or Mercury S8? Local store has both in stock currently. *Side Note* I plan to sell my S8S(Not doing S8S to S8 Upgrade method).

Hi guys! First time poster, thank you for having me. This will be a hot rod inspired build utilizing the industrial Caselabs Mercury S5 and matte black tubing with nickel finished fittings and backplates all from EKWB. I've got everything ordered with rush delivery and should begin building and posting photos within the week. Will update as I move forward. Please ask any questions or put up any concerns you might have over this parts list. Hey guys So im currently in the works for a new PC and i stumpled upon the Caselabs Bullet BH2 or BH4 (not decided yet) i really want to use the Asus 1080 strix GPU and connect the 2 fan connects from the GPU to the 2 front fans on the case. but the case only supports GPU that are 282mm Long with the fans installed in front the 1080 strix is 298mm long. So in order for it to fit i guess i would have to not use the front fans even slim fans wont fit. but i was thinking of putting the fans on the outside of the case with a fan grill on them. what are you guys thought on this or is there a way to make the fans a part of the case but on the outside? Sry for my english as it is not my native language Thanks.

Welcome everybody to my latest log! This one is a remake of a simple build done a few years ago for someone else, this time im remaking it for me,hopefully with none of the facepalm that comes with a sequel! The latest victim is the 'hot from the press' Caselabs BH4,a case designed by Jim and his hardworking team to be a compact case for aircoolers....well...Challenge Accepted as I dont do aircoolers so this build will be a Sli,fully watercooled rig instead. Most of you know,if you cut me in half then the words In Win can clearly be seen like a stick of rock....however,when a case gets my interest then Im going to have to have a go at stamping my style on it,this is one of those cases! First off, lets look at the case. As usual,Caselabs have gone for a thick gauge Alu but opted for a clamshell design rather than the traditional frame and panel design favored by most manufacturers. This saves on weight and materials which is why im guessing Caselabs dont charge the earth for it. Its compact, really compact...however I have a second lower clamshell which will be flipped to make a small rad bay underneath (more on that in the pics). I also went for the dual window option because...who wouldnt?!? Finish is,for now,Caselabs excellent primer finish,I have used this before and found it excellent so I saw no reason not to use it again, thanks to Jim for that as i know its a PITA to change out colours and primers for just one case! Caselabs provide well for storage fiends! 4x 2.5 and 2x 3.5 mounts no less. Board in place... You can see from the pics that I have mounted standoff's to the lower section, this will mount the panel that will hold the rads and the vanity panel on the front. You will probably guess that fitting the GPU's with waterblocks will be hard...well,it is with my choice of cards, the excellent ASUS 980Ti Strix cards,as they are HUGE! Not to worry tho, there will be a form fitting cutout on top to allow the cards and blocks some space. The GPU's,courtesy of ASUS UK! I went for the awesome 908Ti Strix as availability of a second 1080FE to go with the one I have already was next to non existent. Who cares tho when they are as good as this! You can see how tight it is when I did the shakedown... The RAM courtesy of the excellent team at KLEVV,a new sponsor for me and provider of some sexy sophisticated looking RAM,this is their DDR4 CRAS kit....so cool looking! Thanks KLEVV! The motherboard, the awesome X99m WS platform, this was provided by my mate Tom Logan @OC3D,once he found out what I was doing and how much I wanted to use that board,he selflessly offered me his one from his ASUS pron stash!! Good Work that Man!!! And with that gorgeous RAM in situ Its like KLEVV had a picture of that board next to the designers workstation with the memo 'Make it look awesome on that board'.... Watercooling ,as always, comes from the best,EK. Derick was excited to hear of my collaboration with the ever awesome Caselabs so it was not a hard choice to make! As you can see, this will need a post all of its own! PSU's are in the form of dual Corsair SFX series,no ATX will fit in the gap and those GPU's are not on a diet so the back panel will be modded to hold 2 of these,a 600w for the CPU and 1 GPU while the other smaller 450w unit has the second GPU and the ancillary equipment. Im not giving to much away on this yet but you can count on paint, lots of metal cutting and a dirty great res in the front!! Thanks to the teams at Caselabs,ASUS UK,KLEVV,The constantly awesome EK and me old mucker Tom Logan at OC3D for providing me with the support time and again to do what I love. Big kisses guys XX :thumb:

Table of Contents: 1. [History & Build Info] < You Are Here 2. [Videos] 3. [Photos] History: I run the YouTube channel Tech-Know Scope (www.TechKnowScope.tv). Back in October, I upgraded my camera to the GH4, and along with 4K came the 4K struggle. My desktop handled 1080p just fine, impressive for a computer built in 2009. 4K was an entirely different beast. It's difficult to edit because I can barely preview what I'm doing, and the render times are horrendous. (The first build log video for Project Sledgehammer took over 5 hours to render.) Obviously it's time for a new build, and I've been wanting to upgrade for a couple of years now. Now it's a necessity for my channel. My current PC is still valid because it was an all out build back in 2009, and this new one will be even more so. I always say, anything worth doing is worth doing in excess! Hello everyone Last year in June/July I completed my first watercooled build "Clear & Simple" which was a hardline watercooled loop using acrylic in the black/white/monochrome colour scheme. It looked great but was rather "muted" in the style area not to mention the R9 290X which didn't really fit into the rest of the systems specifications. So, I've decided to have another but this time it's going to be a little bit different. For the project the target will be improving the aesthetics to something more colorful and "eye-popping" to help the system stand out, hence the name Deuterium (Nuclear Fusion fuel) :D. As a result the colour scheme for the system is going to be a black, silver/chrome, blue and purple. This build log is going to go more in depth as I have never attempted case modding, acrylic fabrication or cable sleeving so it will be a learning curve. Now, without further ado the hardware: Components CPU: Intel i7 5820K Motherboard: EVGA X99 Micro 2 GPU: Palit NVidia GTX 1080 "Founders Edition" RAM: 32GB of Corsair Vengeance 2400MHz DDR4 SSD: Samsung EVO 850 500GB Fans: EK Vardar F1-120 Cables: Custom Pexon PC Teleios cables Case: Caselabs S5 The loop CPU WB: EK Supremacy EVO Nickel/Plexi GPU WB: EK GTX 1080 Nickel/Plexi with nickel backplate Radiators: XSPC EX360 & EX240 Pump: Laing D5 Reservoir: AquaComputer Aqualis Eco 100ml Tubing: If all goes well, 12/10 Mayhems Glass tubing Fittings: 12/10 EK-HDC Fittings So that is all for now (I have already started working on the case) but I plan to get some updates done very soon Sidenote: No this build is not sponsored but many thanks to Aytex for the header/logo

I am build a system for everyday use and taking to lans it has 6700k and one or two gtx 980ti's depending on the case i go with. I know the SM5 is no longer for sale but i can still buy it. I it to be as small as possible and I'm not sure if i should get the SM5 because it is a fare bit bigger. I have both the gene viii and the impact viii and i will sell the one i dont use. I also think two gpu's may be abit overkill. I will be upgrading to pascal when it comes out so maybe one will be more then enough. If anyone owns either case or have seen them please make a suggestion. Also let me know thoughts on sli vs single performance.

Whats up? I'm just wondering what you guys think about Thermaltake's more recent cases? I'm fine with manufacturers taking ideas from others but I think that what Thermaltake is doing are straight up copies of Fractal's and Caselab's cases. Is this ok? Or no? Tell me what you think, I'd love to hear your answers.

There will be minor changes throughout the duration in this build. In all its glory, CASELABS MAGNUM STH-10 w/accessories and radiator mounting brackets. Will update this in detail later on as well. PARTS ARRIVAL AND COMPONENT INSTALLATION As promised, the beast has arrived. The heart and motherboard for this build, Intel Core i7 5820K and the not so unfamiliar ASUS ROG Rampage V Extreme X99 Motherboard. A closer look at the Intel Core i7 5820K. Putting the heart and brains to the body Close up nudes of the sexy body. I've placed more in a spoiler so that I don't bore you guys who already know how awesome this motherboard looks already. For the memory, we have the Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB 2666MHz RAM. They come in 4 pieces in the kit. Unboxed those sexy rams. Placed them into the appropriate slots. Nothing hard here. They look good though. Closer look at those RAMs Oh I nearly forgot, the ROG OC panel. We'll be using that later on. The removable motherboard tray makes it even more easier to install the motherboard and PCIE components. A closer look at the removable motherboard tray. Screw holes are all in place. Aligning the motherboard and checking whether the screw holes are accurately in place. Yes, I know I forgot the IO shield but this was just to check. Will update even more later today. Thanks guys.

Hi, In December I am going to build a system in a Caselabs SMA8 with 2 16 FPI 480mm and 560mm rads. I am aiming for a red/black color scheme and I am torn between Aerocool DS fans and a Corsair HPE SP120 and Corsair AF140. Any help is greatly appreciated!

It is finally here guys, the Caselabs Nova X2M. If you are a Caselabs fan girl like I am you have probably been waiting for this for a really long time. But if you are wondering why the Nova is such a big deal is because Caselabs is now targeting a more affordable market, starting at just $200 for the most basic model. Of course, expect to customize every single bit of this little case. Hopefully this also means that the rest of the Nova line is coming out soon!

Hi, In December I am going to build a system in a CaseLabs SMA8. I would like it to have a red/black color scheme, and I was wondering what LEDs to buy for the build. Also, I want to buy Corsair SP120s for my 480mm rad and AF140s (I don't like Corsair's LED SP140s) for my 560mm rad, but I have heard bad things about them, what fans would you recommend that fit in my red/black color scheme?

Which one would be better and more worth it for a kick ass loop? Reasons too.

Hey LTT community! (Again) Sorry to mods if this belongs in off topic but it seems quite "On Topic" <3 Who Am I? Hi I'm Harry, I am a Graphic Design/Illustration student in the UK and all round Design nerd! I am currently studying illustration with traditional media so this is a good chance to get back to my roots with vectors! TL;WR Pick a build from the list below that you want to see made into an Illustration, super simple! What is this? Who are you? What is this treachery! This is a a result of this thread and also this Reddit post and the popularity my work has received from the tech community. Community Choice Themes: Well you obviously don't like my choices so pick your own! ** Voting will close on the 19th of July ** The List The official list AND order in which request will be done. Do not dispute the list, it is God. Sapphire R9 Fury TRI-X Sapphire R9 280x Tri-X MSI GTX 980 Twin Frozr V Radeon R9 295x2 R9 Fury X R9 Nano This list is the final say, do not dispute or try to queue hop (unless you are a vendor and you have a new card that you want to secretly give me, that would be fine). These will be done at my discretion as they are done for FREE, please remember that! No Longer Taking Requests Common Questions Cut down on Forum spam! These are fake then, huh? Nope, these are 100% my own work and each one is made up of between 100 and 5000 separate shapes all layered up to create the image you see above! Soooo they're traced? Still nope, they are measured before hand and the individual components get made and positioned, this is why there are a few mistakes and differences, this allows me to make them more "artworky" and less technical specs sheet! I have seen these before, did you steal them? If you have seen these before then you either follow my Instagram or are part of the PCMR sub-reddit. I do post their occasionally and I got a reasonable amount of publicity last year for a Parvum (awesome case makers) build that I animated! Can I have these as a wallpaper? Yes of course! All of the images linked here are wallpaper sized (3840x2160) Can you do my build? Potentially! This is why I am asking the LTT community if they're interested in voting on build for me to make, these of course are 100% free and would be entirely decided upon by community feedback. How long does it take you? Depends on the complexity, a single GPU could take an hour while a fully animated build could take 2-3 days of work. When will it be done? If you're willing to pay, I can give you an end date. As I am doing this in my spare time for free, well I can give you a Linus deadline, "In the future sometime." Anything Else? Is he still talking? Nope that's it! Pick a build, peruse my work and maybe drop a request! ~ Harry

Alright so for some reason even thought there a re so many cases on the market right now i still cant seem to find one i like. Most cases fit everything i need but i am having trouble with aesthetics. I'd really like to get a full tower and my price range is around $100-$150 and i would love to get a custom made like MountainMods or CaseLabs which i would be whiling to spend $200 for but that doesn't seem to be enough. The most important things to me are good looks, large nice looking window, must fit e-atx, good quality, bigger the better, and good cable management options.

Hi there I need some help with a server tower I am making for my company's website, and I don't know what exactly to get for the case. The case is a CaseLabs TX10-V case, and I want to the most amount of HDDs as possible and be watercooled. It will be running an i7-5960X processor, 64GB of G.Skill Ripjaws 4 series, a MSI X99 SLI Plus motherboard, a corsair 1500i power supply, and SEAGATE Enterprise 6TB hard drives. If you could please tell me what case customization I should get, what water cooling parts I should get, what case accessories to get, any video cards that would be good for a server tower, good case fans, and any recommendations for parts that are better than the ones that I have listed. Thank you.

Hey guys, I'm planning a new build using the Case Labs STH10 but wanted some advice before purchasing. I'm hoping other uses that have this case that can answer some questions I have. Also I will be using the new X99 chipset. So my first question is if three 140.4 (560mm) radiators can fit in the top of the case ( One on each side and one mounted to the top)? Case labs also offer a 120mm extension if needed. Second question is if there is any builds/pictures of either 140.4 radiators mounted on each side of the top or mounted from the top? So continuing in continuation to this thread, http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/131704-new-case-and-psu/ I left the case for the end and I' currently 652.87$ under my budget, so I can have the case that I want. I'm hesitating between -the Obsidian 900D (awesome clean and professionnal look) -Graphite 760T (once it comes out) -Cm Storm Trooper (love the design) -Aerocool Strike-X air (Odd choice, I know but it's awesome) --> If I get this case, I won't be watercooling it or I'll mod it and watercool it like this case: -Caselabs TH10. Although this case is over my budget, I'm ready to save up the extra hundred buck and buy this case since it's awesome! Continuing my project I'll be watercooling these cases, once I gather up some more money.
