So, I’ve been browsing for information recently for my future build. After looking at my motherboard (ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero; yeah, it’s overkill. Every other option i wanted was out of stock), I realized it only had 3 case fan headers (CHA_FAN), yet I have 4 fans. I did some research and build guide watching, and I saw that you can plug a fan into the AIO_PUMP header, and I believe (as long as you aim to the right like with the case fans) you can plug a 3-pin fan into it too. However, in my research I found some setbacks. I saw in my mobo manual that the AIO_PUMP header does not support Q-Fan Control like the case and cpu fan headers. Instead, it shows that it runs at full power, and looking online, I confirmed that. I saw that you can add a custom curve to it to override that, but I didn’t know how to do it in the ASUS BIOS (the thing I found was for an MSI mobo: ). So, my questions are: A. Am I right in everything I said thus far? B. Do I need to do anything so that the 3-pin fans still change speed based on temperature like the 4-pin ones? C. How do I either add a custom curve to the AIO_PUMP fan or give it the same functionality as the ones plugged into my CHA_FAN headers? D. If I have to add a custom curve on the fan, is there a way to copy the other fans curves so that they are identical? E. My configuration is a Corsair 460X RGB with the 3 included SP120 fans plus one extra. Which fan should I plug into the AIO_PUMP header, if it matters? This is a loaded post, so thanks for any help you can give. Stay healthy! EDIT: I would also prefer to avoid using a splitter because I know there is a way to do it normally with the AIO_PUMP, I just don’t know how to do it on this mobo.

I want to build a new pc, and I'm trying to figure out a case to buy. I looked at the Antec NX800, but I'm a little confused with the fans and led controller. My motherboard only has one fan header and no rgb/argb headers. Can I still connect the led controller? How does it work? I tried looking it up but I'm really new in this area and I couldn't understand.

I'm planning to buy an AIO for my PC, which is running on Ryzen 5 3600, GTX 1660, Gigabtye Aorus elite x570 and XPG d60g 3600 ram. I'm really liking the looks of Deepcool Castle 240 rgb AIO but I'm also planning to get the corsair 3 pack ML120 fans or maybe even the QL if I save up. But if I took the Deepcool, I wouldn't be able to sync it up with the fans since deepcool only works with Mobo software from what I know. But if I took corsair AIO, like the H100i, I would only need to use Icue and have more fun and flare with the RGB (And also have control when to shut it off when I need to) So, should I just get the Deepcool and mixed it with Corsair fan or should I get the Corsair one? I can't really decide and like to know some others point of view lol

Hey all! I'm a first time builder, and I've decided to turn quarantine into a more productive time by building my first rig! I think I have a pretty good setup in terms of components (I'll list everything below) but my biggest question right now is cooling solutions. I'm deciding to go with the Lian Li PC-o11 Dynamic for my case, and I have 6 Noctua chromax case fans (120mm). My motherboard only has 2 fan headers, and I cannot daisy-chain the fans together. My current idea is to have 3 fans per header, and order the noctua Y splitters (preferably the chromax ones but I'm not going to be too picky about these cables). I am curious really if there are any downsides to this idea, whether or not I can actually connect that many fans to one header, etc. Logistics of it just have me nervous. Thanks for the help! Components list: Motherboard: ASUS Prime z390-P ATX LGA1151 RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB DDR4-3200 CPU: Intel i7-9700K CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i (I would've gone bigger but my case is somehow too small, and I wanted to go with air cooling over water since they seem to have similar results) Storage: Samsung 970 EVO 500GB M.2 + Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" HHD Graphics Card: Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Windforce OC Case: Lian Li PC-o11 Dynamic Power Supply: Corsair RM 750W 80+ Gold fully modular

Hi there, i just installed my first pc build this monday, but my cpu temps were really high in benchmarks and while playing warzone. Like 90-95c hot. My idle temps are around 40-50. Most time 45c, but spikes up and down when opening programs Its like 70-80c in csgo and valorant and like 80-85 in fortnite. all on the highest ultra settings and fixed at 144fps. So because of those temps i just installed 2 140mm arctic p14 pwm pst fans in the front of my meshify c as intakes. 1 140mm arctic p14 pwm pst on top as exhaust 1 120mm stock meshify c on top as exhaust 1 120mm stock meshify c at the rear as exhaust. PSU is facing down CPU cooler is amd wraith stealth so stock Is this case fans setup good or should i remove something. BTW i have 5 of those 140mm but i can only install 4 in this case, but i installed the 120mm up top because i couldnt fit the 2nd 140mm up top, because the cpu power 8 pin is in the way and i cant really bent it because its too hard. Could someone also help me with the fan curves and tell me if i have to turn something else on or off? I also have some pictures of the bios below with explanations. https://imgur.com/gallery/WTM6mW2 Help is much appreciated and thanks in advance! So, I'm looking at building a new PC. Have been for a while. I want to make sure everything will fit without a problem. This is the build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/jmich96/saved/9W9t8d - Will the NH-D15 fit with both fans, with the RAM installed? - Will I be able to fit 15mm (slim) fans under the GPU? - Is the NF-S12A or the NF-F12 optimal for the rear exhaust fan? Also, the motherboard (as all my reasonably priced options) only has 1 fan header available for a case fan. I'm only left an option to install a fan hub. Is the fan hub in my part list optimal? Can someone link me a smaller (but still reliable) PWM fan hub? I'd really like one I could mount on the rear side of my case, where it is unseen, and plug it into the bottom (not CPU) fan header.

I want to get the Inwin 101 to put my current build in, but I'm not sure how to configure the fans. I also want to upgrade my air cooler to a 240mm aio. The case has two front fans, 3 bottom fans, and an exhaust in the back. What's the best way to configure this case if I were to put the 240 aio on the front? System Specs: Ryzen 7 2700x Scythe Ninja 5 (soon to be a kraken x63 or x52, trying to see if the 280mm will fit) Gigabyte aorus elite b450 16gb 3000mhz corsair vengeance (upgrading to trident z rgb 3600mhz soon) Gtx 1070 blower style (basically got it for free from a package deal and it's definitely a step up from the 750ti I had in there previously) (wanting to get a 2070super soon) Evga SuperNOVA g3 650 80+ gold Recommendations?

Hey everyone! First time builder here. I recently purchased parts for a new build. The 200r was highly recommended for the quality/price of it. It has 1x120mm fan in the front and 1x120mm fan in the back. I bought 2x120mm Arctic F12 Silent (3pin) to add to my case but I'm not sure where to put them in order to optimize performance. The Corsair 200r has two available spots on top, two available spots on bottom and two available spots on the sidepanel. Also, I have a Cooler Master Hyper212 Evo CPU fan. From my quick research, it seems that a rule of thumb is to fill TOP before BOTTOM or SIDE, so I'm thinking put one on top (Pushing Out) and one on side (Pushing Out)? Also, I'm not sure if this information is necessary but I have 2 cats and lots of carpet so hair will be present... I don't know why I'm sharing that since dust and hair will probably make its way inside my PC but maybe it changes things! I appreciate any help I can get! I'm here to learn! Cheers!

note: English is not my first language! so, I am kind of new to the computer world, I can basics. So one day I bought a pre-build computer from lenovo (Lenovo Legion T530-28ICB) and experiences that the case is warming up to the point there i could burn my hand if i touch it under loade. I tried to increas the RPM on the fans that is already installed in the systems, but I could'nt because i can't find anything about fans or fan info in the bios, i tried to install SpeedFans but the program did'nt pick up the fans. I opened the computer, all fans have 4 cables and what i have seen, 4 cable is 4-pin, and 4-pin always have a PWM cable, right? Can i somehow control the speed of the fans? or should i replace them with others like noctua or cooler master. This is the front intake fan:

Hello looking for better air flow and positive pressure. 2 120 intakes in front pushing through the cpu cooler radiator. one 120 exhaust on top and 120 rear exhaust )where everyone’s exhaust is lol temp are ok but looking to make this ideal. Currently has negative air pressure when the fans get going. 20801i gpu so it pumps out some heat. 9900k seems to be cooled fine by liquid with rad where it is. any suggestion for best possible air flow and making it positive pressure. can likely add a pic when I get home

Heya guys, Not sure if anyone was waiting for it, but the last time I heard, Lian-Li's new Unifan design was supposed to come out "Q2 2020." That was last reported in CES this january before COVID really took off over at their factory area. So I though, hey, why not send a message and see if they would tell me either an updated release window or maybe even a date. You can read the correspondence below, but spoiler alert, they said release window is now Q3 2020 and that they were at 100% at the factories. Message sent to them Hello, I have searched online about any information regarding the release date of your uni-fan concept last shown at CES 2020, and the last information heard was Q2 of 2020. Now that we are entering Q2, considering the increased impact of COVID-19 to most factories and distribution, is that still so? Also, if you are able to share at this time, a more narrow release window? Thank you kindly for your time and any information you are able to share. Sincerely, *REDACTED* ---------- Reply back from them Hello *REDACTED*, Uni-fan is the new product that will be launched in Q3 J Our factory in China affected by COVID-19 in Feb. But we already back to work with 100% capacity in the middle of March J Thanks! Best Regards, Sandy Chen TEL: *REDACTED* FAX: *REDACTED* Skype: *REDACTED* www.lian-li.com

What fan configuration would you guys recommend for better airflow? I've currently got the top 2 radiator fans setup at intakes with auto speed in the bios. Rear fan running at Full Speed Exhaust and Front 3 Fans running at Full Speed Intakes, AIO pump running at full speed. My only concern is I'm not sure if I should have the radiator fans as intake or exhaust? Photo is attached. Thanks for your help. Hi All, My two front Cooler Master MF200R RGB fans (found in my Cooler Master H500 Case) stop sometimes while gaming. I can leave the computer on for hours and won't see them stop. But while gaming they do stop after an hour. Then restart, then stop etc. When I go to shutdown the computer they restart by themselves. But nothing I do will coax them back to life. I am using the Cooler Master 3- way adaptor to plug them into the RGB fusion header on my motherboard. Motherboard: X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming CPU: 2700X Any ideas on why this is happening?

Hi everyone. Currently I'm buying parts for my new pc and I got stuck on choosing fans (ring-rgb) for my cpu cooler and case.. I need your help ?. CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1660 Ti A6G Motherboard: ASUS PRIME X570-P RAM: G.Skill TRIDENT Z RGB [F4-3200C16D-16GTZR] 2x8 PSU: Corsair TX550M (550W) Case: FRACTAL DESIGN Meshify C Blackout TG CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12-S Fans (for both cpu cooler and case): PCCooler Corona FRGB 120/140 or ID-Cooling ZF-RGB-12025/14025 What can you say about these 2? Are they bad? Which has better airflow and bright rgb (that's not as important as airflow, but still nice, since I'm getting a blackout version of meshify c)? I'm thinking of buying like 7 of these and putting 1x120 on my noctua u12-s, 1x120(rear) and 2x140(top) for exhaust and 3x120/2x140(front) for intake. I hope that's not overkill tho ? 1. Can I replace noctua's fan with any of listed above? Will the temps go up and etc? I'm not planning to manually OC my CPU (not yet at least.. maybe in 1-2 years when I'll be thinking about my next upgrade), just auto OC or w/e it's called. But it'll be good to know if they're good enough to handle like 3900x with u12-s in the future. 2. I have no expirience at all with RGB so I dont know if I'll be able to connect them to rgb heards at my mobo and sync them via Aura Sync with my RAM and GPU. I dont have my mobo yet so I can't read it's manual rn :c Do I need to buy a hub/controller for them (and if so how can I sync them later with my other parts?) or in my case with x570 prime p mobo 2x 3-way splitters should be enough for case fans (dont know what to do with cpu rgb tho, cuz im not sure if i can plug it in with my case fans to one splitter..)? I know that there's 2x 4pin rgb headers and 1x 4pin ARGB header, but im also not sure in which header I need to plug them.. Probably in ARGB, but can it handle all of my 7 fans tho? I was checking some photos of rgb builds on prime x570-p and I noticed that none of them was using mobo rgb headers (not even the ARGB one.. maybe I couldn't see one because of cables, not sure).. but they still had a fully synchronized rgb. Im curious. Thank you for your help and time in advance ?

so I have the cooler master h500 and it comes with 2 rgb fans and a black fan and i was wondering if there is good (preferably cooler master) rgb fan that will go nicely with the 2*200mm fans at the front to replace the fan at the back of the case (and perhaps get 2*140/120mm rgb fans at the top)

Hi guys, im still a noob here... I just bought 2 sets of CM mf120r argb.. And i intended to install it on my case.. The problem is can my asus z270e motherboard connect 2 commander?? I didt tought about it before buying ??

I just recently got a new psu, Case along with case fans and a gpu and it was all working fine until I got a new mobo yesterday and installed it at first everything was working then I had to remove the mobo again to get behind it. Now however when I start the computer the Noctua NF-F12 case fans on the top of my case will power up with the case but then stop. After a while I noticed it would start spinning a little and then stop again. I’m not sure what it is or what could’ve caused it. I made sure to be extra careful with all of my parts and my three other case fans that came with my case when I bought it work perfectly fine. My pc specs are: I7-4790 GeForce RTX 2070 Super Gaming X Gigabyte G1. Sniper H6 - this is my new mobo Rosewill Spectra X Gaming Case 650W power supply from evga i have also added a video of how my fans would start up but then stop. IMG_3959.MOV

Hi guys Just to scratch at your brains a bit. Before I explain the situation I'll just give a breakdown of my pc specs i9 9900k (not overclocked) 32gb 2666 hyperx fury (no rgb) Asus rog strix b360-F gaming MoBo Nvidia RTX 2070 Asus duel fan Gamedias 280mm AiO liquid cooler 4 Rgb Gamedias 120mm fans 500gb Wd blue 3d nand ssd Msi Msi gungnir 100p case My configuration at the time is 120mm fans bringing air from the top down onto my cpu and top of my gpu 1 at the back also pulling in over the cpu and 2 140mm on top of my radiator pushing air through the front out of the case. Now for the problem. Since I'm in south Africa it is generally very warm. But my pc can really cook an egg when I want to kick up a game that is very demanding. Like battlefield 5 on ultra with RTX on. My Temps in C can reach 80. What I started to think was my fans are not doing a good job not because of configuration as I've tried it in 4 different configurations. But rather my controller for the fans. The Gamedias set comes with a controller that's responsible for the Rgb and fan speeds. But I have 4 120mm fans and 2 140mm on a single controller being powered by a single sata power connector. Now I'm no guru but I've build pcs before and thinking back especially lower end stuff. Each can was normally connected to a molex by itself or to the motherboards fan ports. So I just wanted to ask if you could help me out to see if I should buy new fans that use the own connecter and perform better or if it's the same with the controller or without it. Thanks guys look forward to hearing from you

I replaced all of them over time and got better parts. I'm planning on getting a new case next to put all my parts in. However, I'm not sure how to check if my motherboard fan headers can be split to supply all my fans. My motherboard has 3 fan headers. I will have 5 fans total: 1 CPU fan, 4 case fans (3 in the front, 1 in the rear). I am looking at this case currently: https://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-Computer-Tempered-Cooling-Management/dp/B07J63FBZJ/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=rosewill+v500&qid=1574113405&s=electronics&sr=1-1 Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello, I recently purchased 2 noctua case fans for my PC in header sys fan 1 and 2 and I have been struggling to control there speed. I am trying to use speed fan to control them but the fans don't show up anywhere on speed fan. The fans show up in the BIOS and in hw monitor and it does say the speed in which they are spinning but they don't show up in speed fan at all. I have turned off smart fan control in my msi b250 PC mate bios but it doesn't change anything and I am stumped. Anyone have any ideas that could help or fix this issue? Thank you in advance!

OK. here's what's going on: I still have a few components/parts yet to acquire for my build, but I'm a bit confused about the case fans. (Specifically, the RGB & all that.) So, try to go easy on me as this my 1st pc build & I'm still learning a few little things as I go. Clearly my build has the LL120 mm RGB fans from Corsair. (But FYI- my build won't have an AIO CPU cooler; just a standard tower heatsink for CPU cooling. Which means for the case fans, I plan to use them to help with cooling. Via the motherboard or whichever software Corsair uses nowadays for controlling fan-speed & the RGB lighting, etc.) However, I'm not sure if I will need just the Commander Pro, or the Lighting Node Pro & the fan hub that comes with my case... As you can see, I've heard that the RGB can be 1 of the trickiest parts about building a pc. Hence my confusion. So, here are my questions about this: 1. What will I need for my particular setup: Just the Commander Pro & that's it, the Lighting Node Pro & the fan hub that comes with my case...? 2. Also, how will it all be connected? (You know, which plugs into what & in what order?) 3. And which software is now best for fan control & the RGB- Corsair Link, iCue, etc? In case anyone needs specifics, I'll be providing my parts list which will be linked below. My build/components/parts list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/6Wdbtp If anyone happens to need any further details or wishes to ask me anything else, feel free to do so & I'll be sure to fill you in! I hope someone who has had proper experience with this can help clarify or make sense of it all for me. Thanks to anyone who can help!
