About a year ago from today i built my own pc with specs that are listed below. Well ive never had any issues with the build up until a week or two ago when the RGB fans on the case stopped working. To be clear the fans still spin and function perfectly fine, just the RGB no longer turns on. I have never used any sort of RGB controlling software as i thought the default colors and stuff was fine. The case i bought also included a few buttons to change the RGB profile and make it switch what it was doing. Now upon turning on my computer my fans turn on just fine but the RGB doesnt. I have tried putting the RGB headers into different RGB header spots on the motherboard but that does nothing. I have noticed that they will flicker on and then off when i turn my pc, on so i think it might have something to do with windows rather than my hardware. I also noticed that windows 11 recently updated with the dynamic lighting thing which is also one of the main reasons i believe it has something to do with windows. I have tried messing around with the dynamic lighting settings to no avail so hopefully someone here is able to help. PC Specs: Case - Lian Li Lancool 205 Mesh C Fans - Default fans inside of the case (i was unable to find the exact name of them but they seem to not be specifically sold anywhere) CPU - Ryzen 5 5600x GPU - Zotac GeForce RTX 3060 12gb version Motherboard - MSI B550 Torpedo PSU - Corsair CX-M Series CX750M 750 Watts RAM - Vengeance LPX DDR4 2x16gb Storage 1 (Boot Drive) - Crucial P3 PCIe 3.0 NVMe 2280 M.2 1 TB SSD Storage 2 - (i lost the box so i am unsure which one this is) 2 tb M.2 SSD Wifi/Bluetooth Card - ASUS PCE-AX3000 WiFi 6 PCI-E Adaptor OS - Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2 64 bit

I have no idea where these 3 cables (shown on photo on the bottom of the case) go into. They are coming from the case fans but i don’t see anywhere to put them. Please help.

I have recently purchased an NZXT H5 flow and I am looking to add some extra fans for extra air flow. Currently using the two fans provided with the case. These are fine but only seem to run at about 850 RPM (Noise isn't a massive issue as CPU fan will always be the loudest) Looking for some good value fans (Around 1200+ RPM) to add to the case, probably 120mm but i'm sure the case supports 140mm. Also I will now need to get either a fan splitter or hub as I am now out of motherboard fan headers, i'm not sure if a fan hub will be beneficial? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Hey there, amazing tech community! So my Lumen S36 AIO just went kaput ;( But… I'm thrilled to share that I've just ordered the Galahad II Trinity AIO w/ Lian Li SL 120 Infinity Unifans to level up my PC cooling game. Currently, I have the AL120 V2 fans as simple case fans – two for intake and one for exhaust. Now, my question is: Is it possible to hook up the SL 120 Infinity Unifans and AL 120 V2 fans to the same Lian Li fan controller or hub? I know another controller will come with my AIO but I’d like to use one Controller IF possible. I'm aiming to create an efficient and cohesive cooling system that's not only visually appealing but also practical. Your insights and expertise would be incredibly appreciated! Let's explore the possibilities together and ensure my setup runs as smoothly as possible while embracing our love for all things tech and e-girl vibes! Thank you, fantastic community, for your continuous support and invaluable guidance. I can't wait to hear your suggestions and experiences. Let's dive into this tech adventure together! Nyaa~!

I bought a 205Mesh around a year ago and have been happy overall with my build. One of the front 140mm fans has packed in and while Lian Li's warranty has been excellent and are arranging to send me a replacement it does beg the question about the overall quality of the case fans they use as it appears to be a regular issue. When I started looking at replacements I was unclear what a cheap 4pin power and 3 pin female rgb fan (2 140mm at the front and one 120mm at the rear would be as the usual UK stores don't seem to specify the details I would have expected. Am I missing something obvious or is there little standard currently for such a basic thing, potentially if so would just go for replacement non RGBs to ensure proper cooling

Budget (including currency): €950 Country: Ireland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming and watching videos ( games like 6 siege, csgo, cyberpunk, valorant Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I plan to play on 1080p at 90fps-150fps and maybe 1440p in the future. Here is my list for parts and i have 2 Y-spliters to plug all the fans so they can all be controlled because my motherboard only has 3 fan headers and 1 is used for CPU cooler( Comes with the CPU). And wifi is essential cant run a cable. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Xs34n6 I would like to know how many fans i need because right now im planning on getting 6 (5 arctic p12 pwn) and 1 included case fan. I want my PC to have good cooling and quiet if if slightly loud its fine.

Hello! I’m not sure if this is the correct place to ask this so I’m extremely sorry if I’m in the wrong place. I recently shipped my computer that I built back from my boyfriend’s house. Prior to this the fans and LED worked fine and the ship there nothing happened but now I can’t seem to get them to work no matter how much I connect and retry. Any help? The mother board is ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING II and the case is Montech but not entirely sure the exacts since I can’t find the box. Playing things since I’ve gotten it back yesterday has made the case warm which usually doesn’t happen so I’m just worried because those fans seem important. Anything is appreciated! (Please don’t mind the dust and mess, it’s about 3? years old and the first one I’ve ever built and I’ve been in the process of cleaning it since it arrived back at my home yesterday lol.)

I'm new to pc building (and by new I mean I literally started a week ago), and I would like to know if it would be a good idea to connect 3 ll120 rgb fans to an asus prime a320m-k motherboard because my brother wants a pc upgrade, but he doesn't know anything about PC-s. I heard that this motherboard is borderline useless and only has one sys fan header, so i think that it would not work, but just in case I will ask. He bought pre-built PC that already has 3 120mm fans and 1 60mm fan,but for some unexplained reason he took off the stickers so I do not know how good those fans were, he just told me that he checked a while ago , and the ll120 turned out to be better. Hope I get an answer.

Hey, I was searching for a fan that has an infinity mirror that pushes air towards it's visible side. (What's the point of having an infinity mirror if it's facing away?) Currently rocking the lian li O11 and would love to have infinity mirrors all around, without sucking all the dust in existence into my PC. I came across these on AliExpress: Picture is from the article in the link below My case would basically look like this: Picture from one of the reviews (no name to quote) My question is, does anyone have these and give me a review of their other properties like sound and actual cooling power? I could not find a single (video) review and even on the chinese COOLMOON site they are not present. Thanks in advance to anyone nice enough to stick around or comment something useful (or funny) ^^ Links to the product: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005303105435.html? I know PWM offer a bit more percise control than DC, but which would be more energy efficent and increase the Fan longevity? Edit: I am looking at the fan settings in the BIOS and I have both options

The case only comes with 2 fans so I will need to pick up more. This case has mesh in the front and top. The mesh pannels are removable but they will help keep the dust out so I will likely leave them unless the top restricts the radiator airflow. Should I be looking more at fans with a high CFM, H2O pressure rating or a balance of both? On a side note should I try to find better fans for the DEEPCOOL LS720 AIO or will it's fans bee alright? So far fans I have seen that I like the cost or the specs of are: DEEPCOOL CF120 Plus 120mm HYTE Flow FA12 120mm LI UNI FAN SL V2

I bought two Corsair NR120L fans for my first build and it was only after it arrived that I found out it has a 2-pin molex. I use a Asus B550-A motherboard which has 4-pin fan headers. Is there any way I can use these fans or do I need to get new 4-pins fans?

So my computer is in a rough state right now and has problems with cooling. I want to put my case fans below my gpu(the gpu's fan is broken and doesn't spin at all) so it doesn't thermal throttle. In doing so, I had the idea of removing the side panel so the rest of the system gets "passive" cooling. So my question is, will my computer need front and back fans if the side panel is off or will it be relatively fine. (btw my cpu is fine and doesn't have any problems)

Howdy there good peeps of LTT My mobo (MSI B450M-A PRO MAX) only have 2 fan headers, One of them is used by the CPU cooler and on the Second on I currently running a splitter cable through which I can connect all of fans but the issue is that I can't control there speed this way. In BOIS or through MSI software that shows up as only two fans connected. What I want is a solution through which I can plug all 5 fans in but still be able to control my fan speeds individually. The catch is the budget. I know that corsair makes an hub called Commander Pro XT but it's $50 and I am not sure if the mix match of fans that I have will work with that but it's out of question as I am not gonna spend $50 on that alone. What I want from you guys is advice in finding a hub that is a solid good reliable product but is cheap (As cheap as possible without compromising quality) and a good bundle of five 120mm fans that are quite and will work with the hub. OR I am not sure that product like this paired with any fan hub (I don't know which hub can be used with these) Will give me the option to individually tune each fan through software like "Fan Control" and if they do Please do let me know of a reasonably good brand that have a bundle like that. I don't want nor care about any RGB whatsoever so this will help lowering the price too. Would highly appreciate if you could recommend me products (preferably with links) that will work together and give me the ability to control each fan. Build info: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G RAM: Lexar 16GB 1600mhz Mobo: MSI B450M-A PRO MAX (m-ATX) GPU: GIGABYTE GTX 1660 Super (3 fan variant) PSU: Corsair CX750M CPU Cooler: Cooler masters HYPER H411R Have 1 samsung SDD and 3 WD HDD in future will add a nvme Case: Corsair Spec 01 Fans are a mix of brands but all are the same RPM voltage and amps

I've been looking for some rgb fans to put on some radiators and case for a month now. And so far I haven't seen anything that would be ideal for a pull configuration. Basically not having the frame pointing into the case. So far the SWA fan Ex is the only fan that does what I want. I know it's very early in its life but does anyone have thoughts or opinions on the fans or reasons to avoid them? PS: Or even alternatives that clearly I have not seen yet

I have a ASRock B550M-HDV and six case fans that all have 3 pin connectors, but they all also have the Molex connector. I connected the Molex connectors all to the power supply, but for some reason (I'm thinking that it's because the motherboard has no 3 pin connector) the motherboard's BIOS does not recognize the fans, so I cannot tweak their performance, so they are stuck at full power, which is very loud. I am in the process of switching my motherboard to an MSI PRO B550M-VC WIFI, as the ASRock has a faulty PCIe slot. But the MSI PRO has only one 3-pin connector, and it's apparently for RGB. Should I just return the fans and get six 4-pin fans, or stick with the ones I have and figure it out? Any help is appreciated, please don't ride me too hard on my "noobness", I am decently new to PC building.

Hi. So I have had the silverstone rl06 redline case for a while now, but I feel like it would be nice to get some quieter fans. Also maybe some egg fans with more colors than just red. So I had a few questions 1. Is aftermarket case fans often better than stock fans in cases? Currently I am looking at the “arctic p12 pwm pst a rgb 0db” since I can get 3 fans for the same price as 1 Corsair ll120, but is the Corsair worth that much extra, or is the performance the same? 2. is it the case or motherboard the dictates how many fans I can plug in? 3. right now I have 3 front fans and 1 in the back, but if I bought 6 new fans would 3 in the front, 2 above and one in the back be better? thanks for all your input. Also let me know if you have any good suggestions to some good case fans

Budget (including currency): Just fans. As long at they're under $50 a piece Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Anything I run Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hey everyone, I have a case called The Beast from Monster Labo, which usues a completely fanless design to passively cool the CPU and GPU, but it can only cool the GPU up to 250 W passively. If you run 2 fans as exhaust at the top, you can cool up to 320 W, and my goal is to cool around 300 W. In the video that LTT did with the case below, if you go to 20:04 in the video, you can see where he adds fans to the case and runs them at 800-850 RPM and is able to achieve the 320 watts of cooling for the GPU. So my question is, what are the most silent 140 mm fans out there that can still move a decent amount of air, and how in the world do you just set a fan to run at a steady RPM? I have an ASUS MoBo and for the life of me I can't figure out how to tell it to just stay at a certian RPM for the fans. Thanks for any help or advice!

Hello! I recently finished my very first (stressful) PC build, however there is still one issue and I have no clue what causes it or how I can solve it. I searched on the internet but not really anything stood out as something useful. Since this is my first build there is of course a chance that I just messed up somewhere while building it. So, my issue, there is a lot of fan noise coming from my case (Fractal Torrent) as if the fans are spinning at max speeds (~50 dB). Based on reviews of the case it should only get this loud when temps are getting very high. I already contacted Fractal customer support but since I don't know how long it will take to receive a reply or if they even know the issue I thought I might as well also try to ask here. Below some specifications regarding the issue: - I let the fans run for over 10 hours now. No noise improvements. - Try wiggle the case fans to see if any of them are loose, they all seem to be screwed in well, no wiggles. - All 5 case fans are connected to the case's fan hub, from header FAN1 to 5 (according to the manual fan 1 decides the behavior of the other fans connected to the hub). Fan hub is connected to the motherboard (Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero) in fan header "chassis 2". - No adjustments were made to the fans or fan hub. - Using the bios fan curve control, I set the fan speeds at 20% lowest possible up to 30C degrees. According to monitoring software my case fans are turning at 500 rpm minimum. - After some testing, it seems that the 2 180mm case fans are quiet. The noise only appeared when I used the 3 140mm fans in the bottom of the case. - I hovered my hand over all 3 bottom fans. The front and back fans were turning, but I didn't feel any air getting blown out on both sides. The middle fan however was blowing a lot of air, as if it was running at max speed. It seems the middle bottom fan is possible the culprit, however I don't know what's causing it to behave differently from the other fans when they are all connected to the same fan hub. Any help or suggestions are highly appreciated! I put a HWMonitor screenshot (while idle) in the attachments in case that gives any information.

I will attach a video for more context but the title pretty much explains it. When i boot the system up from a shutdown cycle, all my LEDs turn on but when it gets woken up after being put into sleep mode, not all of the fans get lit up. The fans are operational just the LEDs are off. The next part of this post will make better sense after the video, so please watch the video for more context. The case came with a fan hub Antec DF600 and out of the 6 RGB slots, i have used 4 of them. The three up front and the one closest to the front panel for the top exhaust fans (the only ones that light up). The other 2 are daisy chained at least RGBwise. For power, i bought another fan controller and plugged it directly to the motherboard. I suspect there is an issue with the daisy chain and why there is no power being sent to the LEDs across it Help me figure this out please! thank you and warm regards kind stranger 220043701_helpmeLTT.mp4

Sorry if this has been answered, but... PWM cables are 4 pin, correct? PWM splitter cables allow more than one PWM fan to be controlled by one fan header on the MB, correct? I noticed that PWM splitter cables (i.e. This One) has 3 female plugs to accept 3 fans to use on one MB header. However 2 of the 3 female connections only have 3 pins. 1 of the female connection has 4 pins and the male connection looks to have 4 pins. Why the 2 3 pin female connections? Does it matter which of the 3 fans is plugged into the 4 pin female? Sorry for the noob builder question. Thanks.

Hello All, First Time Poster! I am having some trouble figuring out the optimal case fan setup for my first build. I am having issues with my CPU reaching high temps (around 8-82c) while gaming with a 50ish% load. Even if that temperature is acceptable, I want to have more wiggle room, as I live in the Midwest and temperatures can rapidly change and I have little to no actual room air conditioning. I am thinking the stock wraith cooler I have is not enough, so I am planning to upgrade to a Noctua-U12-A; but now I am also wanted another opinion on how to setup my case fans since the exhaust from the 12A can’t go to an intake fan right? My case included 4x 43.2cfm 1k rpm fans, and I also got 2x Noctua F12 71.69cfm 2k rpm fans which I placed on the two open top slots on my case. Ideally I would like the front fans to stay the same (they are all idle non adjustable rgb so I don’t want them to be scattered if possible as is the rear fan) https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mvz4Y9 Linked above is my current build, and attached is a basic sketch of my current configuration, plus what I had planned based on some more research. I could take pictures later when I’m back home if needed. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks all!

GIGABYTE X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING X470 has 8 fan headers. If I need 2 more case fans, and I've used all 8 fan headers, is there a way to expand and add 2 more fan headers for some kind of splitter or circuit board that I am unaware of? Help and thanks?

I was looking to build my first PC. I'm quite sure I'm am going to buy a Phanteks P400A but I also want to mount an AIO in the front, but then I would have to rearrange the front fans right? If I could then I would want the 3 front fans rearranged in rear exhaust and top exhaust configuration.
