Hey all, I have got the quite common problem, that my PC and some of my other electronics like power supplies I load my lipo batteries with, heat up my room so much, that I don’t need to turn the heater on in the winter, and as it now gets warmer and warmer, I start to get roasted. A common solution would be to put the stuff in my bedroom and just buy some longer cables going to my „office“. But then I would heat up my bedroom, or whatever else I put it, and that wouldn’t be so nice. So I want to get the heat completely outside of my living space and I now want to find the best way to achieve that! 1. Water cool my PC and put a radiator outside (only heat from my PC gets outside) 2. Put all the stuff in Server housings and in an Server cabinet, which you can get with strict ventilation, so I would have the hot air go out through a tube, like with my dryer. 3. ??? I would be pleased if you maybe have some ideas or inspiration! regards, Ole

Hello Good people, I run a small home recording studio setup and I need my room to be really quiet. The PC I use is not particularly noisy but contributes to it. It takes a lot of money to build a SILENT rig. So I have settled to keep the Cabinet outside my room. Can you guys suggest the peripherals I might need to achieve such a thing ? Thank you

I've been searching everywhere for a cabinet that is 30 inches wide, around 30 inches tall and around 24 inches deep, but I can't find one. I'm wanting it in white but black will do too. Anyone know where I can something like this or where I can order a custom built one? Thanks!

Have my PC, XBONE and cable box under the TV in a solid wooden cabinet, which I mostly need to keep closed, to keep my 2 year olds fingers away from my stuff. So obviously if the doors are closed and any of the units are on for a while the cabinet heats up more than I would like, hence the reason for the fans. just wondering what size you guys think would be the best? And how I should power them. I was thinking I could power them from the PC, but that would mean it needs to be on if I'm using the Xbox, also I would like to have a switch on it somehow so I can turn them on/off etc. feel free to post pictures of what you guys have tried yourselves. cheers.

Hi, I need help regarding my new case "corsair 760t graphite series arctic white"! My PC specs - Gigabyte Z97X UD5H BK Gskill 1866mhz 8x2 16gb ram ASUS 780ti dcu2 oc Samsung pro 256gb Intel i7 4790k Corsair ax860 So the promlems are that I can't seem to configure the fan speed selector (however I tested the fans and they work via the motherboard), the power button led ain't working and the reset button is flickering. Now what have I done wrong? I've followed my motherboard manual and the 760t manual for help. 760t manual says connect the fan cables to the mobo headers on page 9 and page 13 says connect 3-4 pin connector to case fan header. Also the stealth cover for the ODD doesn't fit above my ASUS DVD drive.

Hello Everyone, my first post here, also from Europe so please excuse my broken English. I have a cabinet above my computer desk, into which I plan to shove my new upcoming miniATX gaming build. This cobinet will be closed and it's already full of hot equipment such as router and nas (router really produces some heat ) The cabinet already has holes in it for air-flow to the ceiling , yes there is a huge cool area between the ceiling and the cabinet, so I suppose i can use that to cool anything. But I am not yet sure about this. So I think it would be nice to install large quiete fans into each hole that would pull ( or push, not sure here either ) cool air to / from the cabinet to give the upcoming PC some fresh air. My QUESTION is: How do I connect it to some sort of fan control ? How do I monitor the temperature inside the cabinet and run the fans accordingly ? Should I monitor the temperature inside the PC and then turn the external fans on/off instead ? How can I accomplish this task ? What kind of hardware do I need to buy , some names of products that come to your mind ? I probably dont want to run external wires from my PC to the fans, do I ? I am lost, I never built any computers in my life, please all suggestions are very much welcome. Thank you everyone !

Hey, I'm a first time builder planning on building a gaming rig. Plan on using the Asus GTX 970 Strix as my graphics card and want to put it in a CM N300 case. The retailer I planned on buying suggested that I should go for a larger case as it would be difficult to fit in my case. I checked the specs in both the websites http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mid-tower/n300/and http://www.asus.com/in/Graphics_Cards/STRIXGTX970DC2OC4GD5/specifications/ and it seems like it would fit. I just want to be on the safer side so I'm posting here to get some expert opinion. Thank you for your help!

Hi, I need a good budget cabinet with decent cooling as my previous cabinet is too old and I am using it without side panel because it got no front intake and it is just a crap. So I searched and shortlisted two cabinets which comes in my budget. 1) Corsair CC-9011050-WW Carbide Series SPEC-01 Steel Red LED Mid-Tower Gaming Case (Black) 2) Deepcool Tesseract Sw Mid Tower Computer Case Now I am confused between these two which one to go with because they both looking nice and get decent cooling space. Any other cabinet suggestion also welcome, make sure to select from Amazon India not US. Help me in choosing the cabinet. Thanks.

Hi Everyone! well this is my first thread and also my first build project. I am looking for a Cabinet that resembles the look of DVD player or a media center (or is smooth black in looks)and supports DVD/blu-Ray drive vertically. and since i want to keep the temperature and noise of the HTPC as low as possible , should i opt for a Liquid cooling system? because the temperature here in India goes as high as 40-45 Degree Celsius in summer. since i wont be using the device for gaming , which is the ideal motherboard/processor so i don't need to add any dedicated GPU. 1) A cabinet that looks smooth and decent(also looks like a DVD/music system player) 2)Cooling system 3)Processor/motherboard ill be using windows 8.1 with XBMC or just XBMC-Ubuntu Thanks In Advance!

Hello, guys. I am planning on getting a new case and a water cooling solution for my PC. Currently, I have a Cooler Master Elite 344 (or something similar, I don't remember which one) with it's stock fans. My PC specs are as follows: Processor: AMD FX-8150 Black Edition 8-Core @ 3.6 GHz + the heatsink it comes with by default. Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6790 Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3 AM3+ HDMI microATX motherboard Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Let me tell you, the cooling is terrible - for one, the temperatures go upto 70°C during gaming even when it's not overclocked and also, the heatsink fan makes a loud noise (yes, I confirmed it) while rotating when the CPU gets heated up. The case has only one exhaust fan and no space for front, top or bottom fans, so it's even more of a bummer. This has been going on for a while, so I decided to do something about it. I am looking to go for the Corsair H100i and a Corsair Carbide 500R case. My questions are: 1) Will this fix the whole heating/noise problem? Also, what temperatures do you expect under load? My room temperature is 31°C - ish. 2) Will the new setup with the corsair cooler and the stock fans be completely silent or make a little noise? 3) I know I have to remove the thermal paste already on it and apply the new one that comes with the H100i but I have no idea how to do it - any explanation or video tutorial link will be appreciated. 4) Does the setup require any extra maintenance other than cleaning up dust? 5) Any problems I would face once the setup is complete? (other than the one where the H100i pump makes a buzzing sound which is fixed on updating the firmware) 6) I have heard replacing the case fans and cooler fans with newer and better ones help - but is it really necessary? I mean, I am not going to overclock my CPU or anything and also, I believe this is not a very high end setup either so is it required? PS: I am a complete novice at these things so I would request you to make it as simple for me to understand as possible. Thanks in advance!

I will be keeping my "media" pc/nas in a closed cabinet about 20x20x16 inches. It's just a Linux running on an ancient phenom 2, so it doesn't need much, just to keep the air from getting stagnant. I threw an old 80mm fan on the back I had lying around but it's very loud and want something quieter. I'd like to keep it 80mm so I don't have to cut a new hole. Recommendations for a nice quiet fan that will move enough air?
