Hello everyone, I am trying to build a PC and am gonna need an RTX 3070Ti. I have two options, both at a similar price. Option 1: NewEgg Bundle https://www.newegg.ca/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.4466628 with an ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Option 2: ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GAMING Trinity OC From B&H Photo. They both will have similar prices here, in Canada. I will try to sell off the Motherboard in the bundle. I might also try to sell the PSU and get a SeaSonic FOCUS PX 850 W. In your opinion is the OC variant worth the extra money and hassle with importing, or should I just buy the one from NewEgg. Can you somehow overclock the Non-OC variant? Does overclocking these GPUs even make a difference? Thank you a ton! PS: Should I try to sell the PSU and buy a SeaSonic, or should I just use this one?

Nvidia locks game bundles behind gforce experience to stop trades Anyone who has been using higher end graphics cards for a while is probably used to getting a few games thrown their way along with their card, regardless of wether you use AMD or NVidia. For us that can be a nice bonus and it is a way in which GPU manufacturers try to get a small advantage over their competitors by offering well established titles for free (well... you have to buy a multi hundred dollar GPU but hey). Most of us will probably use this opportunity to install these games and play some of nice titles for free, however this is not what everyone does. Even though it is forbidden in accordance to the terms connected to these game bundles, some choose to sell the codes for some quick cash, thus technically giving themselves a cashback discount instead of the game. Until now both AMD and NVidia have kinda turned a blind eye to this, but NVidia decided it is time to change this and they took action! Nvidia will be changing the way of redeeming these codes in orderto severly limit where and by whom they can be claimed. Now personally I have a 2 sided feeling about this, but first let me explain exactly how Nvidia will be doing this! If you redeemed such a code before you might remember going through the NVidia website to do so, but that is changing. With the new setup, users will have to go through GeForce Experience to redeem their codes, so installing this piece of software is a must. Why? Because of the second requirement: To redeem the coupon code, the pc used must be running an NVidia GPU that is equal or better than the card the code came with. To put that into perspective, if you get a code with a 1060, you need a 1060, 1070 or 1080 to claim it. If it came with a 1080 you can not claim it while running a 1070. And yes, they use GeForce Experience to check that, hence why they are going through this piece of software. The last requirement is that claiming takes place in the same region as the purchase. Now ofcourse after activation on say your steam or ubisoft account, you will be able to install said game on any pc of your choosing. This procces is solely for the initial claiming of the code. The first bundle this will apply to is the "For Honor / Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands Bundle" on the 1070's and 1080's. So, why does this cause mixed feelings for me? Well bit-tech stated a good point which I kind of think is a down side to this method. First off, these methods mean that if you have your gpu shipped from abroad or maybe you travel a lot and picked one up elsewhere for a good price, you will not be able to claim your games at your home. The region lock will prevent you from doing so and thus people doing this will have little to no use for the codes unless they take their entire setup and travel to wherever the card was bought from. Second, If you purchase this card and you then wish to install the game on a different pc (maybe you bought the card for a streaming pc or maybe you have more than 1 gaming pc) you just simply can't. You would have to install GeForce Experience on the other pc with the card in it, claim it there and then install it on the other pc. Sure it works but i thought it was just an unnececary hassle. Now all things considered I can't say I think NVidia is making an unreasonable decission here. After all, selling these codes have never actually been legal and I can understand that NVidia want's to do something about people breaking their terms. I doubt this will effect me a lot personally, since I only own 1 high-end gaming pc and never sell the codes to begin with and although I wish there was a way to give games I already own to friends (give not sell) I understand that there is no way for Nvidia to check wether it is being sold or gifted. I expect that people who did sell these codes however will not be happy with it and some of them may start looking towards AMD so they can keep receiving theit "discounts" on the GPU's, however most of them probably won't. How do you guys feel about this? Do you agree with me in saying this was an acceptable (or maybe even good) call from NVidia? Or do you think they are taking this matter way more seriously than they should? I'm waiting on an order for a GTX1070 card and wanted to know what others have chosen in the free game bundle. I haven't tried either and seeing as there's a large multiplayer element to both games, I ask what one do you think is worth choosing out of the choice of For Honor or Ghost Recon: Wildlands?

A year ago I got the Lian Li PC-O6SX for $100 off. I also got a good deal on the Asus - MAXIMUS VIII GENE. I would like to take advantage of AMD's Vega's upcoming bundle deals but on AMD's site it says they're only offering the $100 off bundle deal on three motherboards. ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Extreme X370 Motherboard GIGABYTE GA-AX370-Gaming K7 Motherboard MSI X370 XPOWER GAMING TITANIUM Motherboard None of these are mATX. So here are my two builds: Intel and AMD. Is there anyway to get an mATX deal with Vega? If not, why is AMD screwing mATX buyers? I'm confused by the wording of AMD. It says "GET $100 OFF IF YOU BUY A SELECT AMD RYZEN™ 7 CPU AND MOTHERBOARD COMBO." and "PLUS, GET $200 OFF IF YOU BUY A SAMSUNG 34″ ULTRA WQHD CURVED MONITOR" If I do both is that $300 off? Even though I'd have a motherboard that wouldn't work for me, I guess... Any insight is appreciated, thank you!

Hi, I am willing to buy a new pc soon for an upgrade to my current system which is 6 years old. What I am looking for specifically is getting the least out of the hardware to achieve max performance for all new and even slightly old titles. Currently, 7700K takes the lead of having higest frame rates on games, and that's after Intel's new launch today for coffee lake. My thoughts are; Should I buy 7700K or wait for cannonlake's launch (I don't mind waiting at all) because they might get 4 cores back for hardcore gaming and performance can be higher. I feel like buying 7700K now is a waste because it's came in last year, and since then Intel had no improvements whatsoever, just tiny tweaks and basically a better version of the last one. What do you think?

So first and formost I have to admit I'm a bit out of the laptop loop as I've owned several preowned laptops that were given to me throughout my life as opposed to ever buying one. My current question is: is this a good deal? (see image below) my assumption based on research and comparing is that it definitely is....but can I find a better one or will I be better off saving for a better laptop? Just curious of your opinions or if you've seen any better deals. Thanks a lot! Edit: this laptop is meant for college and hopefully to last me through so it definitely doesn't need to be a gaming one but decent enough to hold itself for a while. (I know some people see APu and think gaming is an option: I do not)

Evening, need some advice. Currently running an ageing i7 3770, 16GB DDR3, Strix 1060 and have recently treated myself to a new GoPro for family holidays. Only problem is is my PC doesnt not want to play nice with the 4k HEVC files so looking at possibly upgrading to be ale to do some editing. Only games I really play are simulation/ strategy games so not massively concerned with pushing out huge frames per second. Budget is approx. £300/ €335/ $380 in the UK although I could be fairly flexible for the right deal though. Any advice would be much appreciated as I am not sure where to start. No preference over AMD or Intel but looking to get the most for my money, Many thanks in advance

Hey all! I need some help looking for a proper ISP bundle. My place of living is in a specific New York area where the only ISP's which provide gigabit Ethernet are Verizon and Optimum. We are currently under subscription with Optimum for $180/mo for 60/60 internet, Cable TV and Phone. We know that our deal is horribly overpriced; However, in order to upgrade to higher speeds through Optimum, we'll need to acquire Arris.-- And the reports are that Arris really sucks, so we're avoiding it. At the moment, my dad and I are researching Verizon's internet/TV/phone services. There's a bundle deal from Verizon which purportedly ends on 7/25/18 that states the following: My three questions for the gurus are as follows: 1) What do the numbers ("940/880 Mbps") mean, Mason? 2) Will I be slammed with huge add-on costs? 2) Which routers would be best suitable for this deal? Your help is always greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have quite limited money to work on so I cut off some extra costs and planned not to overclock. Therefore,I've come up with this build that I thought would be sufficient for modern games. Motherboard: Asus H110M-K mATX CPU: Intel Core i5 8400 Six Core LGA 1151 2.8 GHz Cooling: Stock RAM: Kingston 16GB kit (2 x 8GB) HX424C15FB2K2 DDR4 Graphics Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming 8GB HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB SATA3 HDD 64M Caviar Blue WD10EZEX PSU: Corsair VS Series™ VS550 550 Watt Case: Cooler Master mATX Case Elite 344 Blue Monitor: Samsung LS24F350FHEXXY 24inch Full HD FreeSync LED Total Cost: ~1600 AUD P/s: I'm really keen on getting the best performance from my PC rather than ensuring aesthetic aspects but I afraid that the i5-8400 might restraint the 1080 performance capacity. Thanks for the help!

Hi, Does anyone happen to know of any cheap bundles out there with an ATX motherboard, and preferably and i5 - although any intel quad core is fine. If there aren't any bundles, then would anyone know of a cheap intel quad core and ATX motherboard? Budget is no more than £150 P.S - All prices from UK and in Pound Sterling please

Hey guys, recently came upon this deal. Just wondering its worth its price to go into a budget gaming build. I'm not looking for the highest frame rates and max settings, just enough to run a few games here and there at medium or high settings. I was planning on spending around $125 on the cpu, before I saw this deal. However, I understand that hardware already a few years old like this may be no match for cheaper hardware today. Thanks in advance ps i understand this is in UK, i live here so no problem with buying it lol

I currently have an i5-4690k, and a Z87 MOBO http://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Z87PRO/, to go with a GTX 970 and a GTX 770. I have the 770 running as a PhysX card, as I can't sell it here without at least 100 comments. ($179.99! Everything must go! On sale! Low Prices! /EndFakeSalesPitch) My problem is, I'd like to get another 970 for SLI, but then I would have the 770 lying around looking pretty on a shelf and collecting dust. As that would be a waste and I can't sell it, or may not ever be able to sell it for some reason, I'd like to know if my MOBO could support SLI 970s and a 770 as a PhysX card. My CPU supports 16 PCIe lanes, and the MOBO does as well. I know PCIe 3.0 x8 is enough for any card, but would running at 1x8 and 2x4 be fine? I have heard (only one comment on Tom's Hardware) that SLI won't work with anything less than 8... but would that be PCIe 3.0 or 2.0, if it's even true? Also, does anyone have a guess or a speculative thought as to when the next NVIDIA GPU bundle will come about? If I could hold off on getting that second 970 until some $40-60 game is bundled with it that would be great. Thanks!!
