So, I'm planning on making a budget gaming PC, upgrading from an Asus G75VW, and that was quick enough for the gaming I do, but it ate shit and now I'm looking at upgrading a little. If you know of a laptop that would be a bit quicker and around this price that would be good, I don't need a new laptop or pc. Here's the build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MxFv29

I bought the BestBuy computer from their BestBuy Computer video. It currently has an Sk Hynix 8 Gigabyte 2133 (DDR4), It has 1 available slot so I was wondering if I can use a different brand and speed of ram, I looked at the prices of the Sk Hynix and it was around $120+ Canadian and I saw a Corsair ValueSelect with the same specs for around $90 Canadian. I heard that you can mix and match ram as long as it was the same type (DDR4) but I wanted to make sure before I spent money on it. I'm also open to 2nd hand Ram but haven't had much luck with DDR4. Thanks

Attending college for Digital media and im taking a website development and photoshop class what specs for a pc build do i need? I also plan on doing youtube so i will be recording HD with a elgato(ps4). Which part is most important for multitasking? I picked up a 1950x for $410usd but im selling it the MOBO prices are ridiculous. Also i prefer to go AMD route. Any upcoming sales?

I need to build 5-6 pcs for office use (web use, email, and microsoft word mostly, nothing heavy) with a relatively low budget ($500-600 each). CPU: Ryzen 2400G Motherboard: Asus B450-F Memory: 16gb Corsair DDR4 3000 Storage: Samsung 970 EVO 250gb PSU: I'll reuse the old ones unless they turn out to be quite bad/old Case: Reuse My reasons for choosing each part are as follows: CPU: Excellent integrated graphics and better longevity than Ryzen 3. Motherboard: I know cheaper boards exist but I have had excellent experience with this line of boards and they don't feel "cheap" like sub $100 boards. Memory: 8gb is too little for future proofing and being able to dedicate ram to the integrated graphics, and 3000 mhz will help keep speed the integrated graphics. Storage: NVME m.2 is unnecessary for speed but keeps the builds cleaner and is quite cheap now. Any thoughts/input would be appreciated.

So, real talk here. I've build a computer in a BeQuiet! Silent Base 601, the version that does not have a window. I bought it for silence, not beauty. Aside from the annoying SSD mount and the fact they didn't include PWM fans, it's been fairly easy to build in, and the quality isn't bad... So when I went to install the PSU (SeaSonic Focus Gold 650FX) and the necessary cables, I found that regardless of how I routed them, very few of my required cables would actually connect with nice cable management in the ample space behind the motherboard...but everything, case fans included...will fit just fine if I go straight up through the unnecessary PSU shroud ('cause again, no window). Everything connects. Everything works. Airflow and temperatures are ok. I've tied back what I can; nothing will block heat dissipation or get caught in fan blades. So why does it hurt knowing that the cabling isn't clean? I could spend $30 with CableMod to get a basic extension kit and it'd be nice...but does it matter in this case? It's not even for me. The people that asked me to build it for them have told me they don't care.

Budget (including currency): $1200 USD Country: U.S.A. Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, Video Editing, Streaming. Other details: The budget for the PC is $1200 USD anything else can be added, peripherals wise. I would like to find some clean, full size peripherals. Full Mechanical keyboard, fast wired mouse, fast monitor Not sure when I'm going to buy but not too soon. I would like to play at 1440p 140hz. I like the Premium Dell 24 Inch 165Hz 2K WQHD monitor, but it's a bit pricy. In all actuality.pdf

Budget (including currency): $$$ Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, streaming, vr... ? Other details I'm trying to put something together for my son. He is 15 and has been playing on Playstation since he was about 6 and in the last few years has mentioned wanting to switch over to PC... I have some what of an idea of what I'm looking at/for but also no clue in certain areas. I'm pretty sure everything I've picked will be more than he needs but I'm not sure it will all be compatible or if maybe I'm looking at too much. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks. Hello everyone, so i told my friend i would help hik build his dream rig, he wants a steampunk themed build, his budget ranges from 2000-2500 US Dollars, and he would like to do a custom Threadripper build with it. I am all up For ideas and such as to what i should help him with, we had discussed earlier today that he had wanted custom copper tubing for watercooling, he also had an idea for the RAD placement to be outside the chasity i am not even sure thats possible right? He would definetely want to overclock as well as have some RGB, i love the idea for this project if antone can help contribute ideas that would be fantastic, he would be using thid as a gaming rig and workstation as well, this project build is such a wonderful idea, oh he will also most likely have up to 32 to 64 GB of RAM with a gtx 1080 as well. I think he wanted to overclock that also. I have also never done a Threadripper build either. He also will have an SSD or nvme ssd as a bootdrive for windows as well.

Anything you would change? Case is not final btw, more of just a price-out. Cap was $1500. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YH7tQZ

Hey Guys! I'm thinking about building a brand new gaming PC utilizing some parts I just got. I'm trying not to build anything too expensive so $1000 USD is about my budget for remaining parts. I have compiled a list of parts based on this video, and I'm curious if there are any suggestions for what else I might need or some different suggestions for better parts (SPECIFICALLY the motherboard, hard drive, CPU, and cooling). I mainly play games like PUBG, Battlefield, CS:GO, and older strategy games like Age of Empires II HD. I don't need anything crazy: I just wanted to build my own gaming PC that has good framerate for most games and will last me a couple years. Here is a list of parts I'm thinking about using with purchase links: Case Corsair Obsidian 750D Fullt Tower $149.99 PSU Corsair CX 750 watt $59.99 non modular Motherboard ASUS H170 PRO GAMING LGA 1151 Intel H170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 ATX Intel Motherboard $200?* Hard Drive SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 1TB SATA-6GBPS V-NAND 3bit MLC $230-290 CPU Core i7-8700k $347.00* CPU Cooling: ???? GPU GTX 1060 6GB $280 Single Monitor: one that supports 2k or 4k or at least won't hinder my PC at 1080p max settings Additional tools: Magnet/Demagnetizer $5 Toolkit $15 Parts I already have: GPU GTX 1060 6GB $280 PSU Corsair CX 750 watt $59.99 non modular 24 to 8 pin adapter $7.58 Single Monitor: Dell Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Mouse: Razor Orochi Headset: Turtlebeaches *Note: I have not checked the compatibility of CPU with motherboard. I have no idea what to look for in a motherboard and would greatly appreciate feedback or suggestions. Thanks for your help!!

Hey guys, I'm planning to build a Gaming PC for the first time and I have some knowledge about hardwares but not at excellent level. I want to make sure my system works properly for gaming, 3D CAD modelling. Here is what I picked for the parts. CPU: Intel Core i5-8500 CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Mother Board: Gigabyte B360 AROUS Gaming 3 WIFI ATX RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-2400 Storage: Kingston A 400 240GB 2.5" SSD Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM 3.5" HDD GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8GB ARMOR Case:Be Quiet! Pure Base 600 w/window ATX Mid PSU: Cooler Master Master Watt 550W 80+ Bronze Case Fan: Corsair SP120 RGB Monitor: Asus -VG248QE 24.0" 1920x1080 144Hz Note: I will wait until the new GPU comes out and depending on the price I might change the 1070 Ti to 1170. Also is it okay to buy a second hand RAM since the price is crazy high? and if so which web site should i go look for second hand RAMs (in uk) I want to know that if this system will experience any severe bottle neck and what parts I can compromise on to bring the price down. My MAX. budget is £1300 and ideal budget is £1200 I will also link the Pc Part Picker Part List https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/7QNVGG

Ok so I just finished building my PC (no os yet) https://pcpartpicker.com/user/MARINE_TIGER/saved/trXbXL Here's the issue motherboard only has 1 CPU fan header, case has a pwm fan controller that says to plug into the CPU fan header, so I did that. CPU cooler(I believe it is the "fan" inside the pump(IDK though)) says to plug in it on CPU fan header. Looked around and found the pump fan header plugged CPU cooler into that. Did I do it right?

So I've been trying to build a new gaming PC Because My old pc I built two years ago met its end about a month ago from a thunderstorm and i'm making it an Intel Budget Build somewhat its like Budget and barely mid tier anyways, I like to livestream on mixer and Twitch and i was wondering...Is the i3 8100 capable of handling encoding and if not which i3 CL (coffee Lake) processor is capable of it?

Hello I'm new here, I need some help with a new build. Currently the only games I play are on an android emulator. I want to be able to run multiple emulators at once. I'm currently using a helios 300 laptop and it tends to slow down during opening and closing the emulator. Can some one help with a desk top build. Should I be aiming for more cores or a better GPU? (While opening and closing I notice CPU reaches 100% while the 1060 GPU is barely hitting 35%)

I'm currently getting started in the trucking business. I'm looking for general tips and advise for a gaming set up in a semi truck. There will be lots of movement and vibration and a large coverage area to consider. Some specific ?'s What would be a good phone and service provider for using a phone as a hotspot for gaming? Would it ever be viable for online gaming? Any viable options? What method of build or storage would work best to reduce the damage from constant and heavy vibration, bumps, etc? Probably won't be to concerned about space or cost to an extent, I could find a way to make it work. Wanting a solid and reliable set up and solutions for my situation. Thanks

There is a video on YT that linus released about a site where you can build computers (desktops) with MSRP prices (sponsored video I think) but I cant remember or find. I tried the site and it was really good cuz it allowed you to do many configurations including cooling solutions and with a bundle warranty of almost 2 years. I'll appreciate if you shoot me up the site cuz I really dont remmember it

Hi Guys, I would like some advice from you guys. I'm planning on building a workstation PC which will cover a range of different uses including video editing, 3d animation, modelling, After effects and perhaps the odd game or two. I have got an idea as to what specs but I like some other ideas too if anyone has any. I would prefer a Nvidia graphics card and Intel. Thanks Wintoons
