Need help with fan configuration and set up. Building in hyte y60, motherboard is rog strix b550-f, aio is nzxt kraken z73. I have 8 be quiet light wings. 3 of the fans on radiator. Light wings come with argb hub but not fan hub. Motherboard has 5 available fan headers and 1 aio pump header. I figure I need a fan hub or two to power all of them along with configuring the rgb. Any help or suggestions for hub choice or alternatives would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, before I start I just want to let you guys know that my budget is £1400 but I'm willing to go slightly over if it's worth it. I want to use the pc for moderate gaming and software like blender, Before I purchase a custom pre built from pc specialist, I would like to see what you guys think of it and if there is anything you would change. I'm also open to any critism, just to learn from. Budget (including currency): About 2000$ USD not including the graphics card Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly FPS games like Escape from tarkov, RDR2, Some VR like boneworks and VrChat, and some unity/Unreal and blender work. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I Have a build that someone made for me, but i need some more help. I need to know if its good or if there will be bottlenecking or there are better options/things you guys would change. I also need a motherboard recommendation, as i have no idea what makes a motherboard good. Heres the list. Thanks! (Also if it helps the build im trying to do it a whiteout) https://pcpartpicker.com/user/DrowsyONG/saved/CPDrMp

Hi, My motherboard, the MSI B550 pro-vdh wifi , has only 2 aRGB headers but I have 3 aRGB fans (Thermalright TL-C12C-S). Do I have to use an aRGB hub or would an aRGB splitter be fine? Also, if I use a splitter or a hub, will each individual fan be controllable? Any recommendations for hubs or splitters would be appreciated. My budget for hubs/splitters is $15.

It’s been a few years since I last built a pc, haven’t been keeping track of trends and prices either. I love playing games with my gf, but we’re reaching a point where the games we want to play aren’t running on her laptop. I was looking at getting her the parts and building it together as an activity, and was wanting a second look over the list I have atm. I know she wants something relatively nice looking, nothing over the top but some rgb here and there to make it special. 1080p at 60fps, is the low goal, but more fps would be great. Wanting rtx as well, also wanting to future proof a little with a heftier psu, wifi is a must, and the windows on there is just a reference for me to see. Ignoring the operating system I’m wanting to keep it below $1000. If any more can be cut down without sacrificing too much on looks or performance that would be great! Hello guys, I am planning to build a brand new gaming PC with a budget of around $2000-2500. I have a small list of preliminary parts but I am stuck on what to choose for the motherboard. List so far: cpu: amd 3700x cpu cooler: noctua NH d15 graphics : Msi 2080 super ram: corsair vengeance lpx 32 GB(4X 8 gb sticks) power supply: Corsair RMX 750 Watts Case: corsair 750 D I did a little research and found motherboard as Msi tomahawk B450 Max I realize there is a newer chipset X570 but I am not sure if its worth because of the price to performance ratio. Please give some advice on whether I should get a x570 or stick with tomahawk max (if there are other B450 boards that are better, please link) I was looking at x570 asrock taichi. it had mixed reviews online and I never used asrock boards.

I will start with the parts I planed to use. Case: Corsair Carbide Series 275 R CPU: Ryzen 7 3800x CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock 4 Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B450-F RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB GPU: Asus ROG Strix 2070 Super or MSI RTX2070 Super SSD: Already have Storage Power Supply: Corsair TX550M Budget & Location My budget is around 1400-1500 Euro. Aim This Pc would mainly be used to game on it and maybe edit or record some gameplay. Monitors I already have a 144hz monitor. Peripherals I also already have all the peripherals i need. Why are you upgrading? Im upgrading because my current pc is not getting 144+ fps in most of my games and is 6+ years old. Please leave your thoughts and let me know about any thing you would do different.

Hi, first post here, first I think it's better to introduce myself, I'm Marco, a composer from Italy, I work in music production and virtual orchestration. Going to the topic , I want to build a slave machine to do the heavy duty during composition for my imac, software side i've already experience and I know what to use, I'll use mainly Vienna Ensemble Pro to link the to machines togheter by the hardware side I've planned a configuration but I'm open to help since I'm not experienced , so to sum up: Budget: Around 500€ and 700€ and I'm planning to buy in eu and italy e-stores , i know is modest but i think that whit this budget , cutting some corneres, I can reach what I'm looking for, I don't want a spaceship but something that can help me to have a better performance ( easily since I'm working on an iMac) Aim: Slave machine for Vienna Ensemble Pro using Kontakt and plugins , and also I'm planning since with a desktop I can to implement some pcie (UAD) and maybe pro tools hd on PCI ( but not mandatory ) Monitors: Here's some question, since I'm considering working headless with remote control from my iMac on this side I don't plan to add money and regarding this i think with the product I'm aiming for it don't makes difference Peripherals: same thing planning to go headless, so I assume WIn 10 pro is the go to OS. Summing Up some of the search I've made, I think I want to go with i5 9400F , since it can have the good ration of power and budget, I know, ryzen can be an option BUT, since some music instruments company like UAD prefers intel, and I've seen plenty of threads for bugs with pairing ryzen and UAD PCIE solutions I'll go the pricier route with intell... but since some bugs were fixed feel free to help me with a ryzen budget solution, I'm open to advices and I can drop Uad if the specs/budget ratio is good. That's a solution I've put togheter on pc partpicker bear in mind that I've already the ssd from sandisk laying around so I'll put it in, I've some question regarding case and powesrupply, I like some of the cases from Corsairs like the Carbide 175r and the 275r but I'm concerned about Heat and airflow, do they permorm bad with this setup? since I can't overclock I wonder if they're any good and could match the specs, and about the videocard, i've picked up that zotac for the 1x pcie slot, but i can go with a cheap 16x so I'm open also on that side for advices , and powersupply I know seasonic are god, but there's something cheaper that can tune better to that cpu and ram? since If i can go cheaper and modular it would be better and i can put money into improved specs rams like some 2666 Thank you so much PCPartPicker Part List: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU Intel Core i5-9400F 2.9 GHz 6-Core Processor $124.99 @ Best Buy Motherboard ASRock B365 Pro4 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard $99.98 @ Newegg Memory Kingston FURY 64 GB (4 x 16 GB) DDR4-2400 Memory $277.56 @ Amazon Storage Sabrent Rocket 256 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $49.99 @ Amazon Storage SanDisk SSD PLUS 480 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $59.99 @ Adorama Video Card Zotac GeForce GT 730 1 GB Video Card Case Thermaltake Versa J22 ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply SeaSonic FOCUS 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply $89.99 @ B&H Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 Pro OEM 64-bit $139.99 @ Other World Computing Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $842.49 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-04-25 14:13 EDT-0400

I’m building a pc and my estimated wattage is 660w. But I’m unsure on what wattage to get and the efficiency. I’ve been looking at seasonic prime-tx 1000w titanium. What are the most efficient and quietest power supplies at 850w?

I want to build a PC that can 1. have a decent FPS rate in games (e.g. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends), 2. can edit videos in Adobe Premiere (non-4K) and some light editing in Photoshop, and 3. has the potential to withstand multi-tasking (i.e. it should run fine if I have Photoshop running in the background, some Chrome tabs open, Steam open, etc.). The parts that I have in mind are an Intel Q6600 (that I will overclock), and R9 270X or RX 460 (basically an AMD card that has decent performance along with a reasonable price), and at least 8GB of RAM. I have been looking on Kijiji for some pre-built systems that I can just add a better GPU in, and I have stumbled across upon a rig that seems reasonable to me (http://www.kijiji.ca/v-desktop-computers/mississauga-peel-region/work-pc-windows-7-quad-q6600-quad-core-2-40-ghz-500gb-8gb-ram/1233117478?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true). The main hook for me is the Q6600, 8GB of RAM, the hard drive, fans, and case. My budget is around $150 to $250 CAD and I also have a GPU that I am interested in as well (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131695&Tpk=N82E16814131695). Is that PC worth the price or should I keep looking? Also, would this build function without any problems and bottlenecks? Thank You.

I want to build a PC using a combination of my own old parts and some new parts. Just to get this out of the way, I do not care about looks or aesthetics. I am ONLY looking for performance. I am looking to build a PC that can both have a decent FPS rate in games (e.g., Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends) and can also do some editing work in programs like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere. For screen resolution, it would either be a 1280 x 720 monitor or 1920 x 1080 monitor, I am not factoring in the monitor yet because the monitor will not be budgeted in this build. My budget is around $150 - $200 CAD, and I live in Canada. I am fine with buying used parts from sites like eBay, Kijiji, and Craigslist, I really just need the performance. The caveat in this build is that I want to try and save some money by using some parts from old desktops that are just lying around in my closet. I have made a Google Doc listing what I am working with (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xfLf9Rw9K85OCDxFJEE9FiXOPEHWg-zGGhc_DgLZdXA/edit?usp=sharing). I think at best I can use things such as: the case, fans, heatsink, motherboard, hard drives, possibly network card, possibly power supply, and the optical disk drive -- if I put one in my build since those are practically obsolete now. I guess I am mainly looking for a new processor, RAM (I want at least 8 GB for multi-tasking), a GPU, and maybe a power supply depending on how much power-hungry my GPU will be. I also am not sure if doing this will create bottlenecks with other parts in my system. If you have any suggestions, they will be greatly appreciated.

Hello, so recently had about 1500 saved up and was about to ask for some advice on Parts and start buying but, girlfriends car broke down so we had to take care of that. So now my budget is right at 1050. Should I wait to save up to 1500 again to have some wiggle room for upgrades or is there something decent I can build on in the future for what I have? I mostly play warframe, and pubg and hope to try out destiny2 whenever that comes out. Sorry for the wall of text. Lastly I'm in the U.S. For prices. Thank you guys in advance I really do appreciate it. Edit: I do not need any peripherals.

Hey all, I've been playing FH3 and have noticed that my current system is really taking a beating in this game. This is the most intense game I play. I'm at the point where I'm ready to upgrade. I currently have an 850w seasonic psu, an h100i GTX w/ sp120s-so cooling is not an issue-, and I have a corsair 600c. I have ddr4 2133 16GB(2x8GB) and ddr3 1600 16GB (2x4GB, 1x8GB) and will sell whichever set I do not use. I only need a GPU, mobo, and CPU. I have a pretty tight budget of $500, and WILL buy used on eBay, unless it's cheaper on newegg/amazon/jet/etc. I would also appreciate any help on NVidia/amd. I do not want a gtx 970, as that was my last card and it performed below my expectations. I would prefer an overclockable CPU if possible, and I will list my old specs below for a reference of what I have. CPU: xeon X5660 @ 4.4GHz | Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth x58 | GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SUPERCLOCKED note: I have a pcie x1 soundcard, make sure motherboard has slot for it!!! Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks

So what do I actually need after all the parts arrive ? pcpickers: MyPC Do I need to update the bios or something? (the lady in the amd said that I need to update something) Or should I simply followed the instructions? Also so you guys have discord?

Hey guys, I'm new here and this is my first post so my apologies if anything isn't formatted how its supposed to be (Also doing this via mobile). Also I enjoy tinkering with and building PCs and am trying to learn as much as I can but I'm definitely not a pro and would apprecoate guidance and help especially in terms of tips and what i should get. Anyway I'm upgrading my old PC (which was my first ever build) that I think i did sometime around 2012. I was running an I5 3570K (Stock Cooler) An 650 Ti 16GB DDR3 Ram (I don't recall the speed but its not relevant anyway so im not gonna try and find the packaging) 7TB storage A corsair 700W power supply And a ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 motherboard. I'm a video editor and photographer so as you could imagine video editing was really a pain but in all honesty it held up surprisingly well for gaming and could still run pretty well on high settings in most of the games I played but it was primarily for editing so i needed an update. I decided to get an RTX 2060 and upon installation realized that the CPU was probably bottlenecking the GPU at this point and upon "research" came to the conclusion that my motherboard from 2012 won't support a new CPU so I need a new CPU, cooler for said CPU, Motherboard, and DDR4 Ram. (Also with the release of the RTX 2060 Super at the same price I'm going to return my RTX 2060 and pick up the Super since its been less than 30 days since i got it and there's a 30 day return guarantee) As of now and based on my research i was thinking of getting an I7 9700k And an ASUS ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming LGA 1151 ATX Intel Motherboard Along with whatever decent Ram i can find (hopefully at least 16GB) Now this build upgrade is really pushing my budget to its absolute max. So I was curious what you guys thought about this upgrade. If I should change anything or if it's worth it for the parts I got? I definitely wanna be able to edit 4K and 120fps video without issue if at all possible. And thank you guys for reading through my incredibly long over detailed speil and I appreciate any help, tips, or advice you can give! Again my bad for any formatting issues or misspellings.

Hi All, Just canvassing opinions, Build a i9 9900k now - or hold off until the next Intel refresh? I'm re-purposing my i7 7700 as a media pc / machine for my better half. And want to build a machine that will last for the foreseeable future. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yKbX9J - My Current part list is here. My expected parts needed to upgrade i think are . . . CPU (i9 9900k) Mobo RAM (3000 / 3200) PSU - To go in previous build GPU (if needed vs on board 7700) Boot Disk for previous build

Hello there LTT Forums. VFX artist from Ubisoft, in need to Next-Genify PC, No idea what I'm doing. Every friend told me something different. Came here to ask a thousand people for a unified conclusion instead. Oh dear. 1. Budget & Location. Hovering around 3200 Euros -+ ((For the computer itself)), Bulgaria. 2. Aim. Researching computer graphics at home; Houdini, Neural-Networks, 3d scanning, RTX ON, Minecraft. 3. Monitors. I have 2 1080p ones now, but I want to spice it up a notch to one of those utlra wide curvy ones...Every time I see them I go, man; Future. Also a VR headset. I need to look into that stuff too. ((I am not counting these towards the price I listed.)) 4. Peripherals. Considering that I'm using a keyboard so old it has a PS/2 connector, I will probably need a new one. I like the glory ones. I am using Windows 7 now. I plan to upgrade to either Win 10, or Linux. Possibly Linux. If I am gonna spend a lot of money on a fast computer, might as well also get Linux. I have a few friends who use Linux so I am set on the "People to ask dumb Linux questions." quality of life improvements. 5. But why though. Well for starters; RTX ON, I can't take it anymore. Essentially I want to buy a 2080 Ti and add a computer around it. The last time I went down this rabbit hole was 6 years ago, after which I was so happy to be done with it that I haven't kept up to date with anything since, and I really should have. Trying to get back up to date on things has been one steep hill to climb. My Current PC is a; CPU : Core i7-4790K ((Overclocked though the years)) CPU cooler : NH-D9L GPU : 970 GTX ((Overclocked though the years)) MOBO : Fatal1ty Z87 Killer RAM : A rich assortment of various sticks that my system reports as totaling 32 gb They are mostly DDR3 too. Storage : 120Gb SSD Samsung ((Bought without considering the read/write speeds)) 2tb HDD WesternDigital WD20EFRX ((Bought without considering the read/write speeds)) PSU : Fortron FSP700-50ARN 88+ I am curious of I can reuse anything. But also probably not, it's been running nearly 24/7 for the past 6 years. In fact, all of it has. Without fault. I am really happy about how it held up across the years. If it wasn't for Nvidia's RTX stuff, I probably wouldn't have started upgrading yet. But since I am, let's go bat shit crazy with it. ((Within limits)) Here's where and what I am at now as far as my research and confusing friends go; PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 3.5 GHz 16-Core Processor $749.00 @ Amazon Motherboard MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE EATX AM4 Motherboard $649.99 @ B&H Memory G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory $186.99 @ Newegg Video Card MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB GAMING X TRIO Video Card $1233.99 @ B&H Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $2819.97 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-02-29 20:21 EST-0500 But I also have many questions. Should I buy the Ryzen 9 3950X, OR, Keep my i-7 if it won't bottle neck the GPU that much, and save up for a Threadripper (( maybe 3990X?)) My motherboard needs are lots of fast storage and lots of ram ((I have listed only 32gb on the part picker page, but I plan to slowly buy more after I do this initial investment)), This branches into two questions. RDIMM or LRDIMM or UDIMM ?... I googled it, I read about it, and I still don't get it. RDIMM/LRDIMM are octachannel and that's good, but UDIMM is faster? Which one do I need on my motherboard for ram. ... And what Ram do I need too for that matter. Ram has speed. I didn't know that. What speed do I need? Speaking of storage, what are good suggestions? Half of my friends say PCI-e SSDs, others say M.2s and I am confused. What should I get? What about Intel Optanes? I watched the LTT video on it, but would my line of work benefit from something like that? Can I save money by opting out of nonsense? A lot of these motherboards have these crazy designs going on. I don't care about design. Hence the title. I want it fat, ugly and fast Wait for the 30xx family of GPUs? There are rumors that we'll see Nvidia's next generation mid this year. Should I buy a 2080 -ti now, or hold off on that? Can I buy a 2080 -ti now and sell it an hour before the 30xx is announced? I don't really care about a Case. I am using whatever a friend had in his basement that one time. But if you have any suggestions, I am open to said suggestions. I need to consider cooling more seriously this time. I need something that can keep this working good at full load even during our typical 32C(89.6F) Summers. This build struggles with that and I have every door and hatch on the case open. I also want it quiet. Or as quiet as possible. Also any thoughts on entirely putting the computer in another room for the best quiet possible? That's it for now. I want to make this post to start gathering conflicting opinions on here too. While though my current PC build kept me afloat all this time, there are a lot of little things I missed, like properly matching my ram speeds, getting a good speedy storage, little things that ended up eating me a lot of time in the end. I want to use this new build for at least the next 5-6 years again, until the next "insert_word_here ON" thing shows up. Well, thanks a lot for the time reading this, and thanks any time you might spent on writing a reply too. It is greatly appreciated. PS: I will of course, as the tradition goes, "Deliver." once it's all said and done an the parts are at my doorstep. Edit PS: Here's Louis CK saying "It's not enough fast enough." https://youtu.be/WrahQpIWD08?t=62 I always hear that in my head when thinking about this topic....

I'm putting together my first gaming desktop, so I don't want to deal with any custom watercooling in case I screw up. I'm using an i9900k with a Z390 AORUS Master motherboard so I figured a RTX 2080 ti would fit the bill nicely. I was going to get either the MSI 2080 Ti SEA HAWK EK X or the EVGA RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA HYDRO COPPER. But I couldn't tell if these were simply plug and play or if I would have to connect them to a pre-established custom cooling loop, which again, I'm too lazy for lol. I'd like to know if they are self contained or if it would be easier to go with a different option. I'm okay with air cooling, but I thought water cooling would be... cooler. (kill me now) Also quieter is nice. My budget is about $1500 USD. Thanks in advance for any help!

I am in the US and am looking to spend approximately $1,500 for a gaming PC and Plex server. The desktop needs a 4k capable DVD drive. For monitors this PC is going to live in my living room and I will be using my 4k tv though I don't need to game at 4k definitely need to be able to watch media at 4k. In addition my Plex server will be shared with 1-2 external users. I don't need any peripherals or OS included in the build. Let me know if you need any additional details

Right, my use-case has changed constantly over the last couple of months (it actually hasn't, but new shit comes out and I see pretty pictures on here and think "ah fuck it go on then" - and now I've lost sight of what I actually need). What I actually need it for, is video recording with a 1080p60 webcam and editing afterwards using Sony Vegas. I record audio via USB interfaces into Ableton simultaneously. Vegas is more GPU intensive than CPU, Ableton obviously more CPU - Most apps I use prefer higher clock speeds. From a gaming perspective, I want to be able to play 1080p60 on at least high settings, but I game probably a couple hours a week max. I want to mainly play GOW and COD/Fortnite. I've also included the monitor I own just for information. My problem, is I don't know what GPU I should aim for, with the remaining budget - and reading various "bang for buck" threads doesn't seem to make anything jump out at me. So please help? This is what I have spec'd, I already have SSD storage - PC Part Picker List This is my monitor My budget is £750, but it is a budget, not a target. I literally just want to get this nailed down, and click buy. Many thanks in advance.
