Budget (including currency): £2,000 to £2,500 Country: England, UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: The Pc will be mostly be uses to play games and occasionally streaming, editing videos and rendering videos. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hey All, As times are at the moment I am finding that I am working more at home so it’s time to build a pc. I am going to be using the pc to play most AAA game such as Call of Duty, Battlefield and Anno. I maybe also want to stream occasionally. I will also be using the pc to edit and render 4K video. I will be running 2 1440p monitors and I will be looking to be upgrading them to ultra-wides in the future. In the budget I won’t need a case as I already have one. For the CPU I would like to go with Intel and for the cpu cooler I would like to go with a Corsair Aio liquid cooler to fit in to the theme of the build. I am not sure which aio would be best so I would like your opinion. I would also like to have 32 GB of ram. I hope that you can help me with this and thanks for your help.

So i recently upgraded my old i5 to a i7-4790k, when i stress tested it it spiked up to 90C in mere seconds. so i'm planning to upgrade to a AIO, ive looked at the corsair H115I rgb platinum 280. i want to stick with 280 aio since i already have 2 140's in the front of my case. altough i have seen a bunch of post of people who have issues with rads not fitting and removing the top part before putting it back. So does a H115i platinum fit in my phanteks P300? since the max height on the site says 311mm, and the AIOis 322 mm.

Im looking at making a budget editing rig for my dad who likes to do editing as a hobby. He is more into corel draw but does use Vegas editor once in a while. What build could you suggest for this use and my budget is around NZD 1500. Will need everything from case to cpu to storage etc. If possible use parts that can be purchased from either of these 2 sites: www.computerlounge.co.nz www.pbtech.co.nz Cheers! Edit: -for storage dad has a 1tb HDD is his current pc that can be moved over so just need an ssd, a 500gb could do. - i dont mind any form factor and a stealth build is more suited, dad doesnt like rgb. - a case with an optical drive slot would also be good as dad likes to play his favourite game, starcraft(original old school) every now and again. - budget can go as high as NZD2000 if my brother responds and agrees to go halves as this is for my dads birthday/early fathers day gift.

Good afternoon LTT forum members! I will be providing an excessive amount of info as to improve suggestions. Thanks! I have been bitten by the upgrade bug. My current rig is as follows : ( link to pcpartpicker -these are no the prices I paid FYI) FX-8320 (clocked to 4-4.4ghz) 16GB DDR3-1866 GTX 980 Gigabyte g1 gaming Gigabyte 990FX ud3 rev4 mobo 2 ssd 2 mechs a Corsair 200r case a H75 cooler Cooler master V750 Semi Mod PSU all connected to dual 27in IPS 1080p 60hz Monitors I use this primarily for gaming (Hitman, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Cities Skylines, Planet Coaster, American Truck Sim, GTAV ,Emulators, CSGO) I am by no means a "hardcore gamer" but I really enjoy a smooth experience when I do at the highest quality settings possible) I also stream Netflix, Plex(from a separate plex server) and my cable TV has a streaming service I use. I do this typically while gaming on the 2nd monitor. I do edit videos as a hobby for YouTube in 1080p 60fps using Movie Studio Platinum maybe 2-3x a month and for friends and family on occasion If I were to be 100% honest, I would say an upgrade is not needed, just wanted. Hitman hitches here and there but is totally playable. Same with Rise of the TR. I just started that one, it's very smooth at high settings. Planet Coaster is good, but either is not well optimized or my CPU really is a bottleneck because (as you might expect) the bigger the parks get, the worse it performs). Still very playable though. My video editing is smooth (considering the software can be buggy) but the output render times could be faster, which might increase how often I do it. Right now it might take 30-45min to render a 10min 1080p 60fps video (estimate). I wanna see about speeding that up. I have had the GPU for 2 years and it is overkill IMO for my 1080p 60hz setup, so I will not be upgrading that for at least another year. My case, CPU/mobo, H75 AIO cooler, samsung ssd, 8/16gb of ram opti drive,wd black drive were purchased in 7/2014 so they will be 3 years old in July. I want to upgrade to this: Option 1 Or this : Option 2 FYI, everything is custom priced to match my Microcenter cart because that is where I will be buying the parts from. I have also included tax. So what do you think? Could I do better? I plan on keeping everything but the cpu/mobo/cooler RAM and case, I will be tossing my old 7850 and a few spare HDD drives and a old PSU into my current build and repurposing it or selling it off. TL;DR I have 800$ +/- $100. I've had my current cpu/mobo for almost 3 years. I want to upgrade. I don't need to upgrade. Compare my needs against my ideas for parts and please suggest something better, the same or if I should even bother. Thank You!

Hello. I would like to get some opinions on my build and what I'm thinking of changing. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Shadowlistic/saved/Jk2TWZ Motherboard - IV Hero or z270E Strix. Ram - 3200 RGB or the 3000 Ripjaws. Monitor - is 144ghz really that much better then 60ghz? Any opinion please

1. Budget & Location ~ £600 (kinda flexible) 2. Aim I want to rebuild my old pc in a smaller form factor but with better parts. 3. Monitors 3440x1440 (for gaming and work) and 1920x1080 (just an extra monitor) 4. Peripherals Already have all the stuff I need peripheral wise. I also have a 980Ti already from my old build so I don't need a GPU included in the build. My headset used a digital audio output so having that on the motherboard is a must too, unless there are any motherboard / sound card deals that sit within the budget. Does anyone have any recommendations for this build: (I would like to stick with the AIR 240 case unless anyone knows of a good cube case that may be a better pick) PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-7500 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (£188.99 @ Aria PC) CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer 240 74.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (£71.99 @ Amazon UK) Motherboard: MSI Z170M Mortar Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (£103.97 @ Ebuyer) Memory: Kingston FURY 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory (£64.99 @ CCL Computers) Case: Corsair Air 240 MicroATX Mid Tower Case (£88.82 @ Amazon UK) Power Supply: be quiet! I was thinking of a pc gaming build, coming from console, I knew nothing. I had a small credit on amaz and decided on a few parts I could afford. I know the order was strange, but I'm a Noob. I ordered a not 240 mid white case, hyper 212 cooler, a Samsung 25o gb black ssd. 2 weeks later still receive zero parts, so called and was given a credit. Fast foward 3 months and my neighbor returns home for the Florida winter, and hands me my package that was delivered to his house, so I'm now ahead of the game. (morals aside) I have a head start. But I'm totally confused on GPu, cpu, motherboard, and power supply. (I'm just going to use a 2 tb hdd) my remaining balance is 775$ us. Probably just going to be gaming and maybe a home theater for movies to TV. Can anyone recommend remaining parts for me or at least offer some compatibility things I should be looking for. I like some triple a games but also simple games as well, thank you for your time and help if you can. I also now there is no future proofing but would like to be close if I can. Left out ram as well and white would be nice

I have a build in mind but I don't really have anyone to comment/critique it to help me improve or save some money. I have a list of the components that I liked and were available from stores near me (https://dynaquestpc.com and http://www.easypc.com.ph - sorry no PC partpicker ), which I have put in the attached spreadsheet. I would appreciate any feedback. This is only my 2nd time building a PC and my first one going solo that's why I wanted to make sure there weren't any bottlenecks or incompatibilities somewhere. Thanks in advance! PC Part Price Tracker.xlsx

I was planning to build a new desktop as an upgrade from my old dinosaur of a computer, but don't have a bunch of money to push around. I am asking if there is potential in this new rig, and are there any incompatibility issues I should worry about? link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ynVnjc If you have another rig instead, I plan to only spend about $700 (USD) for this. I already have the monitor and mouse.

Hi, This is my first time posting on this forum You guys can call me D. So I've been stuck with laptops for a while now and haven't consider building my own rig. Now I plan to make my own rig With a tight budget of RM 2.5k (Malaysian currency) which is about 568.05 USD (as of 22/4/2017). The build will be mostly used for gaming and streaming. For those asking why I have such a small budget, I spent most of my money on an elgato capture card and a PS4. (I Play Sreet FIghter) and plan to make street fighter content. So...Any suggestions?

So I am looking to build a new computer (mine is super old now) and want to get opinions on the build Before the list I want to explain a bit on why I picked these parts I want to use this not only for gaming but video/audio, graphical production, and streaming. I picked Nvidia because of the games I play are usually Nvidia based games I am trying not to spend more then around 1,000 USD on the build' ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Since everyone is telling me AMD I made two lists that I want you guys to vote on! (Or post a build below and I'm not worried about SSD/HDD or ram right now as I can add those later) PARTS LISTS INTEL AMD

Ive been working on my perfect build for about a month now, researching parts, narrowing everything down, and asking the PC community for advice. My budget is around $1500 (I already have a GPU). I need help on final picks for the build. More specifically Storage solutions, CPU cooler, and PSU size. Inspired by the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv tempered glass edition , this build is aimed for photo editing, gaming, and overall fast as possible performance for regular use. While looks shouldn't be a factor, I cant help myself with this sexy Phanteks case. I will be going for a Grey/Black color scheme...and some part choices/options embarrassingly are because I think they look good and match my theme. -No overclocking, maybe light overclocking -Must be Air Cooled (AIO coolers just worry me, and I leave my computer on a lot) -After research AMD Ryzen is not optimal for Photoshop so I will definitely be going Intel as its what I know and am comfortable with. Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolve ATX (tempered glass edition) (Grey) MB: Asus z270 Hero (or Strix if I want to save some money and be more practical with my cost since I wont be using a lot of the feature of the Hero...but here is where matching my case comes into play with the grey/black.. hence why not the Prime) CPU: Intel i7 7700k Kaby Lake (while chances are I wont be overclocking, I am attracted to the higher base clock speed of the "K") CPU Cooler: Options -Be Quiet Shadow Rocks Slim -Be Quiet Dark Rock 3 -Cryorig H7 GPU: Asus GTX 960 (works good enough for light gaming/photoshop) RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 LED 32gb SSD Boot/Programs: Options -Samsung 850 Evo 500gb -Samsung 850 Evo 1tb -Samsung 960 Evo M.2 500gb HDD Storage: 6tb -Western Digital Black (or) -Western Digital Blue PSU: Options (Im kind of a corsair fanboy so I dont mind the slight price premium over EVGA) -Corsair Rm 550x -Corsair Rm 650x External HD: WD MyBook 6tb (backup/redundancy) Final Thoughts/questions : 1) Which Air cooler to you suggest for cooling i7 7700k Stock/light OC (prefer not to have a GIANT cooler) open to options not on the list 2) What size PSU should I get? 550w or 650w for optimal power consumption ....I plan to upgrade GPU in the future (I dont run SLI) and I have 2 1440p Monitors 3) Storage for SSD boot/programs .. 500gb or 1tb? I like the idea of having more than enough than not enough, however the price jump has me leaning towards 500gb and Im guessing its all I really need. 4) Data Storage for RAW photos and everything else. WD Black for speed or Blue for price/noise? Thoughts on the Blacks noise level? Is the Black a noticeable difference vs the blue for read/write 5) Any other thoughts on over all build? any other suggestions? as Im ready to pull the trigger on this build but I want it to be perfect before I do.

First time poster and Builder but I've done tons of research on the subject so I hope to put this together without much trouble. Just wanted to get some advice from those who are more experienced with PC building to make sure my build will all fit together and work fine. My main and really only focus for this PC is gaming. More specifically games like CS:GO, Overwatch, Skyrim, and occasionally The Old Republic and WoW. I am recycling one part from my old PC to save a bit of money and that's my Gigabyte GTX 1060 3gb GPU which I know isn't the best card right now, but my budget is pretty strict as-is with this build so it'll have to stay for now or until I have to money to upgrade to something like a GTX 1080. With a fair bit of research I put together this build for my needs: CASE NZXT H440 Steel Mid Tower Case (I haven't made this my perfect pick for this build, but on recommendations from some friends and a great love for NZXT, I thought I might give this case a shot.) CPU Intel core i5-7600k Kaby Lake Quad-Core 3.8 GHz CPU Cooler Corsair Hydro Series H100i V2 Extreme Performance Water / Liquid CPU Cooler 240mm (Now for this I wasn't really sure what to go with. All my previous PCs have been with fan coolers and with some research and a recommendation from a friend I thought this would fit well. I do plan on doing a bit of overclocking and liquid cooling seemed like the way to go.) GPU Gigabyte GTX 1060 3gb (Again, I know this isn't the best of cards, but I have it leftover from my last PC so I thought this would be acceptable to put in this one and for 1080p gaming at high/ultra.) RAM Now this is where I'm at a bit of a dead-end. I had been looking at RAM to buy for this build but I wasn't sure what exactly I would need or which brand to go with. I first had picked out the G.SKILL Flare X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 2400 Memory since it was on sale on Newegg, but I've had trouble finding any sort of reviews or mention of this specific RAM anywhere I looked. Any recommendations or suggestions of something better would be greatly appreciated. MOTHERBOARD ASUS PRIME Z270-A HDD WD Black 1TB Performance Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch PSU CORSAIR CX series CX750 750W 80 PLUS BRONZE Final thoughts/Notes My overall budget is ~800-850 US dollars but I can go a bit over if a certain upgrade or different part is necessary. I'm not really looking to downgrade anything by too much since I can use the full amount of my budget, but if something is unnecessary or out of place, please let me know. As I stated before, I'm completely new to building a PC but I'm confident that I can put it all together after having done many hours of research on the subject. Any and all advice tips or recommendations are welcome and appreciated.

Hello LTT forums this is my first post and it is regarding a first time pc build. I have recently acquired a job and thought it would be a good idea to treat myself with a brand spankn' new pc. I am wondering if I should just get two gtx 1070s or 1 gtx 1080. I read around the web that I should just go with the 1080 becuase sli is supposedly too wonkey. This is my desired part list for the pc. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/Hb3g3F If I go with two 1070s I will probably have to change somethings around. Thanks for any help you guys can offer. Also if you guys have any other suggestions other than the video card feel free to let me know. I will probably be buying this in a month or so.

So I'm trying to build a pc for 600$ or so. I've been tinkering with it for awhile and I came up with two options that I find interesting. They both have: Gigabyte h110M-A MOBO, 8 gb corsair vengeance 3000mhz ram, 120gb adata ssd and a cooler master elite 350 case with a preinstalled 500w power supply. 1st one has: i3 6100 and rx 480 8gb XFX GTR 2nd one has: i5 6500 and rx 470 4gb (MSI) I just want to play in 1080p ultra/high. Which one should I go for? Can I improve in any of this without surpassing the budget? Thanks in advance.

Hey guys and gals, I'm picking out parts to build myself and my mum a PC in the near future. This will be my change over from Apple so while I am an enthusiast, it is my first build and I'm a little new to potential compatibility issues. My PC Build - Gaming, Photo and Video Editing, small amounts of drafting and model making. https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/2cqTQV Mums Build - Mostly for accounting work and general browsing, etc. https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/7ZfNd6 Obviously the build for my mum is pretty basic and doesn't need to be able to run crysis (even though it probably will). As a result I just chose one of the cheapest GPU's I could find - is this a bad choice? Was considering buying 16gb of ram for both systems then putting 8gb in mums computer and 24gb in mine, would this give me benefits or would I see a loss from losing the dual channel boost? I am also under the impression Ryzen CPU's come with stock coolers so neither build has one. I am not planning on overclocking as soon as I get the system but may look to buy a better cooler and overclock it later down the track. Both builds are currently close to max budget. $2000 AUD for mine $1000 AUD for mums I would be running a single 1080 monitor and mum would not care what screen she has XD. I do want my system to be able to handle a monitor upgrade in future. most likely upgrading to 2x1080. Any info will be appreciated, please let me know of any potential compatibility issues or if I have included a product that will let my system down. Feel free to just toss your opinion on the builds too. Thanks

current parts selection> http://amzn.eu/0lzU347 looking for some opinions about the parts I've picked out for building a computer. anything I've left out? anything that works better than what I've picked? any advice will be much appreciated. budget- 1200 uk pounds (might stretch a little) purpose- gaming, game developing, sound design and implementation, general university work monitors- 2. currently i have one 1920x1080 (primary) and one 1280x1024 (secondary). however, in a while i might upgrade to a 4k monitor and use the 1920x1080 as a secondary. why the upgrade- PCs offer better price/performance than a mac (currently a mac user). i want a powerful gaming machine. also, i just want to build a computer.
