Hey, since the beginning of Summer I started experiencing BSODs, but only when I'm doing simple stuff, for example alt-tabbing from Netflix, BSOD, writing a message on Discord, BSOD, writing a script in visual studio code while having a website opened, BSOD. I have no idea what to do, I tried reinstalling GPU driver, I tried updating the GPU driver, I tried all the commands like sfc scannow, chkdsk, etc., I tried troubleshooting, I tried to repaste my CPU (last time I did was 2 years ago and there was almost no paste left when I opened it up), I've been running overclocked i9 9900k to 5.0 ghz on all cores since 2019 and since that year I think I never got any BSODs, only now). I'm kinda desparate because when I'm working I always need to worry about getting BSOD, which is super frustrating and now I've been getting them around once per day, sometimes a few days of no BSODs... It feels super random and I have no idea what might be wrong anymore. Please kind people help me out.

To begin this, I've been using my mom's PC since we moved back from New York. I recently downloaded a mod for GTA5 called FiveM (GTA5 Multiplayer). I began experiencing crashes with FiveM since I got it, mostly saying "NVIDIA GPU Driver Issues" but my GPU doesn't struggle and is fine with other games and GTA itself. Sometimes it's a dll error or an exe error. I'll provide some crash dumps from some crashes I've received. On top of these crashes, sometimes they happen when I'm playing and then will crash again immediately as I'm on the FiveM menu. On 3 cases now, I've had a BSOD in the middle of a session on FiveM. I have two photos of bsods and their error codes. I don't think it's my hardware but rather something with my system vs FiveM because I also discovered that FiveM's diagnostic tool doesn't prompt a text file as it should when you run it. When I ran a dll scan or whatever (sfc /scannow) and another command (DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth) which I will provide results with in photos below too. Well, we (a FiveM Discord member and I) thought maybe it was just missing dlls but just today, I crashed a few times again and received my 3rd bsod. I began to dig further into some tools windows 10 has and I found Event Viewer and another one that scans for errors. I'll provide screenshots for those. The Event Viewer screenshot is filtered to critical errors which show 64 total critical errors. I'm trying a method presented by a YouTube video on an error for ID 41 but I'm not sure if it will exactly work. Any thoughts or ideas?

Upgraded from a 3900X to a 5900X tonight. Upon starting my pc after install, it immediately goes to BSOD Machine Check Exception, then to WHEA Uncorrectable Error. Tried without XMP, right into WHEA. I've reseated my CPU twice, booted into Windows for about 30 seconds and then it BSODed again after logging in. Currently just boot looping into a BSOD. Aggressively Googled this and nothing I can find works. I'm on the most current stable BIOS release. I've cleared CMOS. CPU idling at 41⁰C according to BIOS. I can't get into the OS so I can't get dumpfiles. Booting into safe mode doesn't work at all. Is my new CPU defective? Any help at all is much appreciated and much needed. I really have no clue what to do.

Hi, Today after booting into Windows I loaded my browser, discord and a game in around a few minutes. Immediately after just launching the game of course I get a bsod reading: kernel mode heap corruption. Seconds after I got back into windows and started to investigate and found no corrupt files by running sfc /scannow and nothing else and no all my drivers are up to date. So I really don't understand, I've ran the memory diagnostic tool and no errors. I'm literally working with nothing and don't know where to start. Any help is greatly appreciated!

My C drive has a lot of important data on it. I do have backups of the most important stuff already, but there are a lot of other things there I don't want to lose either. It's been getting blue screens for a long time now, as I've described here before, but after I "Update and Shut Down" my PC around 2-3 am last night (didn't notice anything out of the ordinary), I woke up today to a new blue screen code: "IO1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED". This one seems to be permanent. Can't get it to stop appearing, appears at the exact same point in the boot process every time, tried literally every support result on google and built-in method under the sun that didn't involve completely wiping the drive, but no luck. I then try removing the drive out of the PC and plugging it into my laptop, and the same boot problem occurs, which at least means the rest of the PC is probably fine. (BTW, I think that inadvertently implies that the issue in that previous post was the Windows install and not the RAM setup) The drive in question is a Samsung 860 Evo 2TB SATA drive, and it's been in my PC since mid-2020 when I got the thing. Was brand new. Installed Windows 10, didn't upgrade to Windows 11 until around this year which is when the issues started. Every scan I did of drive health in the past returned 0 issues and it all looked as if there were not going to be any problems any time soon, which implies to me the Windows install itself must be corrupted. This brings me to my questions. I have 3. I can access the filesystem of this drive from within my laptop by plugging it in with this SATA to USB converter I was lucky enough to have lying around. Copying files, while slow to open the folders in the first place, currently works. Is there a way for me to save this Windows install from my laptop instead of having to reset the drive altogether? If this doesn't work, my plan would be to just buy a slightly smaller drive to act as my new C drive which will just hold Windows, and remove all the Windows-related files from the old C drive to then repurpose it to just be another storage device plugged into my computer, just like most normal people do with their setups. How do I go about doing this? How do I prevent data loss scares from happening again? What storage solutions would you guys suggest I invest in so I can sleep at night knowing my game dev/music/video/whatever projects aren't going to be lost overnight? I'd appreciate general pointers for different price tiers, I know there are lots of external drive enclosures you can probably buy and set up with some sort of redundant setup. Ease of use is relevant here, though I would consider myself a technical person I really don't want to have to make data backups my whole personality just to get it up and running. Thanks so much for hearing me out guys. Any answers to any of my questions would be awesome, sucks that this has happened but I guess it's a non-destructive wake-up call for me to get my archiving situation sorted out.

bsod Bsod while idle or low usage, never while gaming.
nathanhayball posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Please help I've been experiencing bsod's for months now, tried absolutely everything except swapping cpu or motherboard. The bluescreens only seem to happen while the pc is either idle or I'm doing non intensive things like browsing the internet, it has never happened while gaming or stress testing. The bug check codes never seem to be the same but always blame ntkrnlmp.exe, only once or twice blaming afd.sys. It also doesn't happen while the pc is offline or in a clean install with default drivers (will bsod once I start installing drivers and programs even if they're common ones like steam and discord) I've tried: -Swapping ram -Swapping gpu -swapping SSD -Multiple Clean installs of Windows with different versions -Disabling XMP -Used driver verifier (blames random drivers until there's none left and starts blaming microsoft ones) So I'm pretty much convinced it has to be a hardware issue, either the motherboard or cpu. How can I make sure I know which one is the faulty one? I don't want to end up wasting money. My PC: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 Motherboard: Gigabyte b450 Aorus Elite GPU: RTX 2070 super RAM: Corsair Vengance RGB PRO 16gb (8x2) CMW16GX4M2C3200C16-TUF Storage: ADATA SX6000 1TB M.2 SSD, Kingstone 240GB SSD, 1TB HDD 7200RPM PSU: EVGA 700W GD Dump files: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1Ewq1aqSxEAZOHuogfPvQlX5ZSu_yTwLS I would greatly appreciate any help -
Hi, My current setup consists of a desktop PC with the following hardware configuration: Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Mainboard: MSI B450 Gaming plus max RAM: G.Skill Trident Z 16GB single stick Graphics: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 (GV-970XTREME-4GD) Power supply: 550W PSU Storage: Corsair Force MP510 240GB nvme M.2 SSD (Operating System) SATA HDD Seagate 3TB (Secondary Storage for media files) The Issue: During my recent travels, I left my PC unused and put it turned off for a week. Upon my return, I attempted to boot Windows, but it failed. I turned to Google for help and discovered that resetting the BIOS or reassembling the RAM could resolve the issue. I proceeded to try both solutions, one after the other. After several attempts, including reassembling the RAM and flashing/resetting the BIOS, I was finally able to successfully boot up the PC and reach the operating system welcome login screen. I encountered an issue while trying to log in to Windows. Upon entering the password, the system froze, and a blue screen error message appeared, indicating "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR". After a brief moment, the PC restarted and redirected me to the BIOS settings. It seems that the M.2 SSD was initially detected by the BIOS under storage peripherals but disappeared shortly after, even though it's still in the slot. Despite persistently checking the BIOS, the M.2 SSD cannot be detected all day long. When attempting to boot to Windows, the BSOD message "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key" appeared. When I turn on my PC after a long time, the BIOS only detects the M.2 SSD once. However, after a few minutes of being on the BIOS settings, it disappears. The SSD only reappears when I turn off the PC and turn it on again after a significant amount of time has passed. I've attempted to use startup repair and Windows restore, as well as other solutions, but unfortunately, none of them have been successful. To make it easier for you to assist me, I've included screenshots. The M.2 SSD contains important files that I'm unable to recover due to the fact that I'm unable to boot up and log in to Windows. Additionally, I've noticed that the M.2 SSD feels excessively hot to the touch when I power on my computer. It appears as though it's been running for an extended period of time, despite the fact that I've only just turned on my PC. It seems like there are sufficient airflows to maintain a cooler environment inside the CPU chassis. However, this should not be causing the M.2 SSD to heat up instantly during boot. In 2020, I bought this M.2 SSD that comes with a 5-year smart warranty. However, I learned that if I send it to the RMA, they will only replace the drive and not recover my data files. I attempted to use the Windows Recovery mode CMD notepad method to transfer my data to another drive. Unfortunately, this approach proved unsuccessful, as I encountered frequent freezes on the recovery mode when the M.2 SSD was installed in the Motherboard M.2 slot. It's worth noting that I don't use any heatsink on the M.2 SSD. I'm unable to operate my desktop computer because of this problem that's greatly impacting my daily routine. I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thank you.

Hi, I have tried everything I can think of by myself to try and diagnose this problem (I like to think I am not completely computer illiterate) but I am slowly losing my mind so now I'm reaching out in the hopes someone might have any ideas. This problem can really be traced back to when I first built the system a few years ago but the issue is now becoming much more frequent to the point where I can no longer use the PC. The best way I can describe this is that the PC has two states it can be in after startup, the first being what I'd call a regular startup where the PC will be turned on and the fans run at a normal speed and this is the state in which the computer will operate perfectly fine. The second state is when I turn on the PC the fans will ramp up to nearly the maximum RPM and remain there while I log in and continue once into Windows, after I do this the PC feels extremely unstable such as the cursor jumping around the screen and you can feel a notable delay in clicking any program and said program opening. I have also seen at times the CPU usage climbing to 50% utilization on the desktop and without any background applications running. After a few minutes of the PC acting like this and me losing my mind, it will randomly give up and cut out. In some instances, I will get a BSOD but nine times out of ten it will just be a random cut-off. I have tried every form of basic debugging I can think of and have looked through all the dump files to see if there are any signs of what is happening but nothing has come to my attention. Here is a list of a few things I have tried: Full wipe of PC Fresh BIOS update New Windows install Every Windows update available Looking through reliability tool Looking through event viewer Looking in C:\Windows\Minidump folder PC Specs: GIGABYTE X570 I Aorus Pro Wifi AMD Ryzen 5 5600x EVGA GTX 980Ti Corsair MP400 2TB M.2 Drive (Boot Drive) 32GB 2133Mhz RAM (2x16gb) 650W SFX-L 80Plus Gold Fully Modular Power Supply No XMP or Overclocking The one thing I have yet to do is any sort of hardware check, my first guess would be the PSU failing but I'm reluctant to say that as it is only a year old (I know it could still be possible though). So now I am hoping someone has any ideas on what I can try or potential reasons for this happening. I appreciate anyone taking the time to read this and for any input they offer. Many Thanks, Scott.

I already have a very big suspicion on my CPU being faulty, but I am not sure so I want to see if somebody else encountered this problem. To start off, I first started getting BSoD errors while playing RDR 2, errors like "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED", "KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR" and sometimes "UNEXPEXTED STORE EXCEPTION", after which I got a weird "Insert Boot Device" screen. I was extremely smart so I basically just ignored these errors becuase my pc worked properly after restarting. That was until one day, and about a month later while playing GTA 5, I got the "UNEXCPECTED STORE EXECPTION" error again. I was like "maybe it's the drivers" so I tried updating my CPU drivers, and after the update completed, the moment I pressed restart, I haven't been able to get into Windows anymore. And then I started getting "INNACESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE". My SDD and hard drive are working properly, which I checked out in recovery mode. I tried downloading windows through the windows recovery media and I always get the message "Your PC doesn't meet the minimim req for Windows 11", or something along those lines. It couId be because the BIOS sometimes doesn't show me I have any RAM, but other times it does. I read that errors like this can be caused by bent cpu pins, I checked my pins and everything is ok. When i put it back in it does the same thing as before, BSoD. So my only real suspects here are the RAM and CPU, because everything else seems to be working properly. Problem is I don't have any spare AM4 CPU or ddr4 RAM to test the computer out with. If somebody can point me out the potential problems and solutions I would be very thankful. My specs (if that would be of any help): Motherboard: AsRock B450m hdv h4.0 GPU: XFX Radeon 590 Fatboy CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 CPU cooler: AMD Wraith Stealth RAM: Patriot Viper Steel ddr4 2x8gb 3200mHz SSD: Intel 670p 512GB HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm PSU: Corsair CX550

I got my pixel 5a in October of 2021 after watching Riley's review of the phone on short circuit and off the bat it was miles ahead of the s8 I was using at the time. It worked great for about 8 months when they first BSOD occurred. I went to a youbreakifix and the first screen I get is a dud with multiple dead spots that only show up when you press directly on them and not when you swipe along them. I finely get a working screen and think nothing of it. Fast forward to March 2023. Im going to go check the price of something on ebay and my phone freezes up, so like what i usually do when something doesnt work i try to turn it off and on again. I try charging it, nothing. I try letting it discharge, nothing. So I reluctantly call up google support again angry that I got another BSOD and they say go to youbreakifix and they can fix it. I go to youbreakifix they tell me go ask google what do next, google say go back youbreakifix cause they can solve the BSOD. youbreakifix says they cant and go back to google and getting my problem raised to a high level repair tech they say that they will fix my phone, at no cost to me. I breathe a sigh of relief thinking this whole situation was over. NOPE. What followed was around 4 weeks of getting sent from rep to rep each saying contradicting things about if the repair was covered under warranty. In the end they basicly said we dont care more than half the reps and both of the repair tech's said if you want a working 5a send is $350 for a used one and that's the best we can offer you. So now i just have my Pixel 5a sitting in the carbord box google sent me to send it to them. I had heard that it possible fix what I assume is the real problem which is software causing phones that where improperly QCed to crack the solder balls of the cpu but im not sure it would even be worth the hassle. I was thinking of buying the pixel 7a a few months ago but after all the contradictions and rugpulls that google customer support threw on my im not even sure if its worth the hassle.

hello! Five days ago my PC had a blue screen error code memory management, I think the problem was caused by one of the ram sticks that was not plugged in properly, after I solved that I got another blue screen error code Unexpected Store Exception I used several methods, none of them worked, I ran several scans for errors, I used cmd and other software to solve this. I think the problem is a hardware one, some time ago I had the same problem caused by a bug on the hdd, but now I have Windows on the ssd, I don't know how to fix this problem or see if it's a hardware problem because I don't know what to look for. Any help would be welcome, below are the dmb files, I don't know to read them, so it doesn't really help me. A few days before I had these problems, I changed the power supply because the old one burned.I also added a new ssd on slot 0 which was free, the cable was connected to the optical drive. 070623-14890-01.dmp 070623-15453-01.dmp 070623-15750-01.dmp 070623-37687-01.dmp 070623-52718-01.dmp

What's Wrong: Most applications and games will randomly crash to the desktop frequently. These include: SteamVR (Error 203) Battlebit Remastered VRChat Blender Unity Discord 3DMark (Time Spy normal and extreme often crash at the CPU test) Star Citizen Some of the BSOD codes I've been getting: IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR EQUAL_TO ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NOEXECUTE_MEMORY DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Things I've Already Tried: Almost everything! x_x Hardware Troubleshooting included: Changing the CPU for an identical brand new one. Tried a different set of DDR5. Booted the system with only one stick of RAM. Swapped the motherboard for the DDR4 version and installed my old RAM. Removed any overclocking (including XMP) Ran MemTest86+ for about 10 hours and zero errors. Also Tried TestMem5 Absolut profile for about an hour. Ensured my system wasn't overheating. CPU is on avg 56° idle and 85° under load. Replaced my AIO for a new one. Installed a brand new power supply Swapped my Nvidia 3090 Founders Edition GPU for a brand new Zotac 3060 ti to see if that would stop the crashing. Removed any unnecessary USB devices and peripherals. Software Troubleshooting I've Tried: It's been difficult to identify the exact issue because most of the time I don't get any error messages when these apps crash. They just go straight to the desktop with nothing. Installed Windows 11 to a brand new Samsung 970 Evo 2TB SSD. Installed Windows 10 to that same new SSD. Booted Windows 11 into a "clean" state with zero non-Microsoft services or apps loaded in the background. Ran 3DMark with the Time Spy benchmark which will often crash during the CPU test portion. The normal one only crashes sometimes but the Extreme version will either blue screen or just shut my PC down entirely. Combed through the Windows Event Viewer looking for any clues. Found lots of errors logged in there. The most common were 0xc0000005 (nvwgf2umx.dll and many others), 0xc0000409 (steamtours.exe), and 0x80000003 (obs-browser-page.exe). Ran SFC /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth several times. A few times they would find and fix system file corruption. Ran CHKDSK to verify the integrity of my Windows install drive. Installed the latest versions of the following drivers: GPU, network, chipset, Realtek audio, WiFi, Bluetooth, network, and Intel Management Engine. Updated motherboard BIOS to the latest. (Version 7D91vH6) Lowering the frequency of my RAM. Ran a Windows Defender virus scan. Hardware Specs: CPU: Intel i9-13900k. (Stock) Motherboard: MSI Z790 MPG Edge Wifi. (Firmware Version: 7D91vH6 RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5-6400 PC5-51200 CL32. (Stock - No XMP) GPU: Nvidia 3090 founders card. (Stock) Cooler: NZXT Kraken X63 RGB 280mm. (Performance setting) PSU: EVGA GQ 1000 Watt 80 Plus Gold. (210-GQ-1000-V1) OS: Windows 11 Pro x64, Version 22H2, with all of the latest updates. Build 22621.1928. That's all I can think of right now. I'll also include a copy of the Windows minidump files below as well as pics from the Windows Reliability Monitor! Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm honestly at my wits end with this. I've tried almost everything I can think of things are still crashing very frequently. Sometimes even within like 20 minutes... Minidump & Pics.zip

Hello Everyone, I wanted to start this out with I found the fix. But it took me a couple weeks to diagnose and it was hard to track down so I wanted to make a post here to catalog the issue and the fix for anyone else experiencing the issues. FIX: mine was caused by multiple RGB software's being installed. Uninstall all of them. They are cancer. ISSUE: My system would BSOD with the error code: PFN LIST CORRUPT. At first it seemed random. After taking notes of when it happened, it was most likely to occur when waking up from sleep shortly after signing into windows. And sometimes after opening or closing a game. CONTEXT: The issue started occurring after installing a new 2TB Seagate M.2. I didn't think about it, but I made a lot of changes to my PC when adding in this SSD which made tracking the issue harder. When changing something about your PC, make sure to changes as little as possible so it's easier to track down the cause. My MOBO has x2 m.2 slots. One under the CPU (running off the CPU PCIE lanes) and one near the chipset (running off the chipset/south bridge PCIE lanes). My OS m.2 was in the chipset m.2 because it was easiest to get too originally, and the CPU m.2 was empty. I decided to swap this and put my new Seagate m.2 in the chipset m.2 slot for aesthetics because it has rgb on it.... After installing both in their new m.2 slots, I booted into the BIOS to check everything was good and I noticed XMP wasn't enabled.... Odd, so I enabled it to 3600MHz because months ago I bought new ram. Strange, I thought I enabled that but maybe not. Once in Windows, I initialized and formatted the new m.2 drive and everything was working great. The new m.2 has rgb so I downloaded open RGB to try and get all my RGB to sync together. Didn't like Open RGB so I downloaded Signal RGB. Didn't like that so I downloaded Corsair iCue since that was said to be support the m.2 rgb. Got iCue to sync with MSI mystic Lighting and uninstalled OpenRGB and SignalRGB. All was good. Then the BSOD started happening a couple days later. TROUBLESHOOTING: Thinking there is an issue with the m.2 (since it's the "only thing" I changed) I tried updating my BIOS, Chipset drivers, lan and audio drivers, windows etc. Everything I could find to update, I did. Issues persisted. Tried to see if there was a firmware update on the SSD, none available. Event logs only showed the system would boot up after an unexpected shutdown. So the system was hard crashing without being able to dump a log. Could be a hardware fault but I continued with software fixes. Looked more into the BSOD error and found that it was said to be memory error related. Tried reseating my RAM and took out the new 2TB seagate m.2 SSD. Same BSOD issues. Tried lowering my XMP profile lower and lower. Same issue. I was eventually at stock 2133Mhz memory speeds and the issue continued. I finally made the connection that I also installed a bunch of RGB software at the same time of the change weeks ago. I uninstalled all that cancerous garbage (the fact there isn't a good open source solution sucks). Didn't have a BSOD for about a week. Started to slowly increase my memory speeds back up to 3600Mhz over the course of the next week. It's been solid since uninstalling the RGB software. Looks like that was the cause. I have installed the m.2 back in my system and it's been happy since. Sucks I can't sync my rgb anymore without the risk of BSODs... Event logs: no errors were logged. Only bootup events after "unexpected improper shutdowns" System AMD 5800X3D Be quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 MSI B550 Gaming Plus Corsair Vengeance RS RGB memory Nvidia Gigabye Eagle 3080 10GB Sabrient Rocket Q 1TB m.2 (OS) 2TB Crucial sata SSD 8TB WD Red Pro HDD 4TB Seagate Barracuda HDD 2TB Seagate Star Wars Lightsaber m.2 EVGA 80+ Gold 850w PSU Fractal Meshify C 2

I've recently upgraded my system by replacing my Asrock H310M and i3-8100 with an Asrock B450M and a Ryzen 5 5600. The new parts were installed more than two weeks ago, and I've been getting this BSOD for a day. Mostly it crops up some time after booting up. I've even had it on the password screen. Attempted the memory diagnostic tool, malware removal stuff, updated my GPU and windows drivers, ran chkdsk, reseated my GPU, sata ssd and ram. I've had "irql_not_less_or_equal" twice as well and "System service exception" once. A little help, guys? I had two folders for dump files, Minidump and Minidumps. This is going to be a lengthy post, so bear with me. On may 9th i ordered parts for a new computer, all the parts arrived May 12th. This means i am now outside the Amazon return window. The parts i ordered are a Ryzen 7950X3D, ASUS Tuf Gaming B650 Plus WiFi, Zotac Gaming RTX 3060ti OC, and G.Skill Flare X5 Series (AMD Expo) 32GB RAM. Here comes the part where I am absolutely stumped and i have no clue what to do. I recently have been getting random BSOD's on this system, i am running Windows 10, but stripped down using Atlas OS (I'm going to wipe and go back to normal windows), most of the time it's a NTFS.sys blue screen, other times it's been a different .sys but that at the time i didn't mark it down. Just today, the day smack after the return window closed, my system poofed. I was chilling watching YouTube with Fan Control testing fans in the background, the system poofed as in the screens went black, all RGB was gone, pressing the power button flashed RGB, even the RGB that lights up when the system has power (eg when psu on or system shut down) was off. I unplugged the PSU, waited, plugged it back in, system did not post but board stayed powered, error Lights on my Mobo showed a CPU problem. I unseated the CPU to check for damage, i found 2 bent Mobo CPU pins which i am 100% sure were not like that when i installed the CPU. On the bottom of the CPU there were darker patches but didn't look like it was burnt as per the recent or past 7950x3D problems. I did notice carbon scoring, or at last making on the contact pads in clusters in isolated areas, dunno if this is normal. I saw the bent pins and decided to stick the CPU back in, because why not, maybe it will work for some reason. and sure enough it booted to windows, but took a bit and kept throwing random error codes, went in a order similar to this: DRAM (normal post behavior to flash dram light)>CPU>VGA>CPU>VGA>BOOT. Note that after this happened all my bios settings reset. I'm not really sure what to do at this point because it is too late to return it all to Amazon, and it's really frustrating how unstable it is, espically how the main problems started the day after i can no longer return them. Thanks for the read, apologies this was a bit of a rant, any help would be appreciated. Things to note. My OS is on a 1tb SSD I have a Sabrent Rocket 2.0 M.2 drive mainly for games. 600watt PSU EDIT: i have 2 PSU's one is an EVGA 600 B, the one currently in my system is a Rosewill HIVE 750S Bios: TUF GAMING B650-PLUS BIOS 1601 (not stock) ---newer more stable version available, i will flash it tomorrow when i get a chance. Using AMD Expo 1 to get full speed out of my ram (system by default had the ram at 4200mhz instead of the supported 6000mhz), other options for AMD Expo are available in bios

Ryzen 3900X Asrock X570 Taichi 2x16GB Trident Z neo 3600 EVGA 3080 LHR Corsair RM750 Sabrant rocket NVMe 1TB PCIE 4.0 Windows 11 NZXT Kraken X72 160mm The BSOD is often CRITICAL_PROCESS_FAILED, or SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, and the dump progress is completely frozen at 0%. The computer BSODs when playing games, this has carried over through the upgrade to Windows 11, I have switched between RAM sticks sets with no avail. Changed boot drive and game installation drive to different SSD. The computer does not BSOD when playing League of Legends or low graphics intensity games like Hades or Across the Obelisk, however things like Deep Rock Galactic, CSGO, and Monster Hunter World causes the crashes regularly, sometimes within 3 minutes of starting the game but definitely within 15 minutes of starting the game. The RGB fan controller was removed, RGB on RAM and cooler has been disabled. The BSOD behavior temporarily stopped when I changed the GPU power from using two cables to the PSU to using the split connector on one cable, this resulted in around 2 weeks without crashes but the problem showed up again yesterday. There are no dump files and there are no events in event viewer other than "the system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down", "the previous system shutdown was unexpected", and "volmgr: Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation"

So for the past few months I've been troubleshooting my PC because it keeps on crashing when opening up a game. Today it crashed again, ran FurMark and I noticed that when the GPU reached ~67°C the pc crashed. I decided to open up the GPU and maybe re-paste it, but I saw something weird on the board. Can anyone explain to me what this is? (Images attached below - sorry for dirty lens)

Hi, BACKGROUND INFORMATION: my computer has been functioning flawlessly for the past couple of months. I did not install any new programs or performed any hardware changes in the last 3 months. I didn't even update the GPU drivers, as they were working flawlessly. Basically, there were no changes made to my system overall in the past 3 months - just business as usual. the device status is showing either "Code 22" or "Code 31" (as seen in the pictures attached bellow) WHAT HAPPENED? I was playing a game and noticed my monitor went to sleep, as it reported it had stopped receiving a signal. I then restarted the computer and noticed that my display adapter (AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT) got disconnected/disabled for some reason. this then happened a few times after had I re-enabled it and also updated the GPU drivers to the newest version. I also ran DDU in safemode and freshly reinstalled the GPU drivers, however my system crashed yet again. I should mention that the GPU doesn't get disconnected only during gaming, it happens also during just idling on the desktop doing nothing. A FEW PICTURES THAT MIGHT HELP: Any ideas about what's going on??? Thanks in advance!

I'm creating this for anyone else that might come across the issues I had, and the possible solution to their problems. I just built a Ryzen 7900X system with the NZXT B650E Motherboard utilizing a DDR5 32GB Corsair Vengeance kit (This kit is listed as compatible on NZXTs website). Initially it wouldn't even post. Unplugging the PSU and manually clearing the CMOS (Button on the IO Shield) allowed it to post and boot. The next issue was an almost immediate BSOD when attempting to boot into Windows 10, or while booting into a Windows 10 installation thumb drive. All devices were recognized in the BIOS, but I noticed that the default BIOS settings for ram had the voltage set to 1.1, while my kit was rated to 1.25. I bumped it to 1.3v and was able to install windows. I ran an hour long Cinebench stability test after installing all up-to-date system drivers with 0 crashes or BSOD. Given the DDR5 infancy, if you are experiencing memory stability issues for this MOBO or another while using DDR5 and are able to get the system to post and get into the BIOS, try increasing the default ram voltage, especially if the default MOBO voltage is set under your RAMs rated voltage. This is 101 troubleshooting for me as I've been building custom PCs since 2002, but I figured a quick write up might help that one lost, new to PC building, soul experiencing similar issues that can't find the solution. Hello everyone! I am here because I am caught in a bsod loop from hell. I was getting access to windows to try and recover but would always bsod out to fast to do anything. I got all my drivers updated but the windows updated failed everytime at 100% or sooner. I updated bios and lost full access to windows since it seemed like the boost process sped up. I thought my windows auto update was on but I guess it wasn't for who knows how long. I have tried different ram. bsod loop different gpu. bsod loop i always get the same error codes too: BAD_POOL_CALLER system thread exception something kernal something IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED I think that is all of them. I am stuck and need this computer to be able to work. Could it be a bad mother board? or cpu? I built the pc in back in April of 2020. Never overclocked the cpu. just the gpu by a little bit and turned on xmp for the ram. my pc is bsodding almost daily, with a different error each time, however the most frequent recurring ones i have seen are “irql not less or equal” and “kernel security check failure”. what could the problem be?

Believe it or not, I've been having this problem for the past 5 months, and today I kind of snapped. I've been frequently getting a lot of blue screens, and all have different stopcodes. The stopcodes are listed below, but I have tried consulting different PC repair stores, yet they said they can't find the source of the blue screen. I was suggested to change my SSD and Ramsticks, still no luck. I was even told my monitor is the cause, yet that could be a wild guess. From what I can remember, I just casually scroll through any website, and it would just bsod. This even happens when I'm trying to update my Genshin Impact launcher, yet it would freeze my screen until it gets a bsod which is the "Unexpected_Kernel_Mode_Trap" The source of the bsods is still a mystery, but here in my town, we've been getting a lot of frequent power surges, and my Computer didn't get to shut down properly. I was still using it for school and gaming at the time too. Everything else just occurs when I'm browsing on Firefox or Edge. I'm literally at a loss here, and I'm so tempted to buy myself a new pc yet I don't want to spend the extra 1k for just a brand new one. Please help me, I'm on my knees at this point. My PC Specs: Processor: Ryzen 3 3200G MOBO: MSi A320M Pro-Vh Ram: 8 gigabyte Ramsta 2666 Power Supply: Aigo WARRIOR AK600 SSD: Ramsta 250gb HDD: I forgot the brand but it's 1 TB EDIT: Before the replacement for the SSD and Ram sticks, the SSD was a Kingston 500gb, and the Ramsticks were 8x2 HyperX Fury DDR4 2666 If there's anything else I need to add on the comment section, I'm more than willing to oblige. Thank you if you can take the moment to help me.

Hello, for the past year or so I'm having these mystery crashes in random intervals. Sometimes it can be 5-8 a day, sometimes it takes a week between them. So far I have been unable to pinpoint what is the cause. I am dual-booting Pop_OS and Windows 10, doing the same thing on my Lenovo Legion, using the same programs on both + the crashes were present even shortly after I wiped the drive with fresh install, my laptop is however 100% fine. It doesn't matter what Im doing at the time. I can be editing a document in writer, watch youtube video or play runescape. The crashes and lockups are not exactly the same every time but very similar. Few examples: PC would just reboot on its own PC would freeze and last 0.5-1s audio would repeat then it would reboot on its own in 5-10s Same thing but after 30s I would just reboot it myself My desktop would freeze but I can still move my mouse for 1-3s then it would lock up completely and either reboot or I would have to reboot it. As I dont use Windows 10 as much and for as long I dont have many instances of BSOD but two that I can remember are KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED HYPERVISOR_ERROR In both instances would my other two screens turn corrupted (deep-fry meme style) and constant sound/deep buzz(?) would sound from my speakers. What I need now is some kind of solution/direction. Im starting to think its HW related but I dont want to just blindly buy and swap parts I would rather know with some level of certainty what is the cause. I am unable to reproduce the error by using any sort of stress tests.
