Hi everybody, I'm coming to you today with a very common problem but I'm wondering if there's a simple solution to this. Where there are people actually responding. I'm currently using BOSE Quiet Comfort Acoustic In-Ear on my PC and it's the first generation one's, not the ones with a working controller or with the nice new blue cable accents. Anyways, back to the point. I originally bought these for the sake of listening to my Walkman and since then also picked up PC gaming. I'm very competitive and with the active noise cancelling feature on these in-ear's it's almost like god's work. However! Since using them I've noticed this weird 'buzz' sound only happening to the right side. I've checked tons of tips/tricks/fixes about this and yes, I have grounded my PC and it has it's own electrical socket. With the active noise canceling off, the buzz sound stops. This only happens when using it with a PC. The buzz is even worse on laptops. So what do I do? Will this force me to buy a new pair of headphones/earphones specifically for my PC? This pair wasn't that cheap... if so, what are some of your recommendations then if this sounds like a problem that can't be fixed? I won't be able to hear as precise sounds when switching to headphones but anything that keeps me away from the buzzing sound. P.S. I did follow the youtube video stating that it might be a broken windshield inside. This did not work.

Hey guys I have a pair of Bose i20's that I LOVE for jogging and being out and about. The cable on them has warn all the way through via use and they don't work any more. The earbuds were fine as far as I know just the cable got old. Does any one have a break down sheet or the knowledge of how to take them apart so I can solder a new cable in? I am poor AF atm and cant afford to replace them so hoping for the mad fix .

I recently owned a pair of Sennheiser CX 300-II, they worked fairly well for how much they were. They randomly stopped working after 2 years. What are the best earbuds available for around $30-40? My Preferences: - I don't like huge earbuds that stick real far out - I do like some bass - Noise Dampening (the CX 300-II were supposedly)

Hi, I've been looking to upgrade my old Bose Ae2w since they are falling apart. I use headphones every day, and I am now accustomed to using wireless headphones. This weekend here in Germany, both headphones are on sale for 200€, so price is not factored in the comparison. Which pair would you recommend? I am leaning towards the Sennheiser due to the sound quality and design, but the bose are undoubtedly much more comfortable. Thanks in advance for the help.

Dear MLG community, I am looking for some good headphones preferably wireless, they need to go very loud and lots of high quality bass. A litte history first: I have the Jabra revo wired version, bought them the time being over beats because of their build quality. Thought they were uncomfortable after a long listening period, so I bought the Marshall Mode EQ, they hurt my ears and when they broke I bought the AKG N20U. The AKG’s hurt in the beginning but I got used to it after some time and the sound quality makes up for it. The AKG’s had an almost perfect sound for me (mids, highs an lows), but I like more volume. They broke down on me three times, so now I have some cheapo earbuds for the time being. Now I am looking for some really good headphones but I am a little confused and wondered if someone could help me with the following: I tried the Bose Quiet Conform 35, and the Sony H.ear on MDR-100ABN, but I was not satisfied about the volume and bass and thought the AKG’s were way better. Is this because of the noise canceling, wireless functionality or something else? Must say that the Bose is around €379, the Sony about €279 and the AKG at €109. How could the AKG sound so much better than the other ones when the price is way higher. Also I tried a cheapo feeling Sony headphone for around €110 which had lots more volume and bass than the Bose and other Sony but the build and sound quality was shit. Can someone please explain and send me in the right direction? Recommendations are also welcome. If I have to give up wireless, I would and noise cancelling is not needed because I play that loud I do not need it. Headphones with a lot of leaking sound is not an option because I sit in the bus and train allot Note! I listen to Frenchcore allot, it’s very bass heavy music with also some high pitch melodies and a fast tempo. I test headphones with the following songs: https://soundcloud.com/thedeadn/dead-n-da-vinci-lysergic-paranoia https://soundcloud.com/dr_peacock/b2-dr-peacock-nowhere-to-run https://soundcloud.com/frenchcoreworldwiderecordings/fant4stik-dr-peacock-bulldozer This is my first posted on the forum and would like some feedback on things I did wrong or something, like my English perhaps or things like not the right place for my topic.

Having quite a frustrating day after spending hours trying to get my new Bose QC35 headphones to pair with my desktop. I have an Asus USB-BT400 dongle and the headphones. Headphones pair fine with my iphone but windows 7 x64 is proving more difficult than iOS10. 1. I plugged the dongle in known good USB port, drivers installed successfully. Restarted PC 2. Brought up Bluetooth menu, add device, select Bose QC35...device added successfully 3. Bose headphone keeps stating "Ready to Pair" and "Select the Bose headphones from your mobile devices Bluetooth list" Am I missing a step between adding a device to windows and the actual pairing? 4. I can right click on the headphones and select "control" which brings up the first picture, however when I select "connect", the popup message appears saying they're not powered on. 5. One time the headphone control panel did say connected and I thought I almost had it but The headphones are still saying "disconnected" and I cannot connect them or set them to the default device in the Sound panel I have tried disabling both the adapter and enumerator in device manager I have unplugged dongle, uninstalled the drivers, reinstalled drivers multiple times. I have removed the headphones from my device list in control panel multiple times. Has anyone had a similar problem with Bluetooth headsets/headphones before? I will call Bose tomorrow and get their opinion and possibly go to Best Buy to try another USB BT dongle. The issue obviously isn't the headphones so I'm aiming towards the dongle or a setting in Windows 7. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance

http://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2016/12/9/13900420/bose-hear-earbuds-hearphones-augment-sound-app So finally a product that seems to be geared directly towards myself. I work in a loud factory with plenty going on at once, I need to be able to hear people calling to me yet still like to listen to podcasts or music. It's too loud for a radio but traditional IEM's block too much noise, the happy middle ground so far has been the Apple ear pods.... BOSE HAS COME TO SAVE ME. Not a whole lot of information as of yet, pricing is still unknown, definitely not holding my breath as of yet. I for one can't justify throwing a wad of cash at something that may not even be a viable solution to my audio conundrum. Maybe someone needs to send Linus to investigate: http://hearphones.bose.com/

Alright guys, so I bit the bullet and dropped the $350 on the Bose QC35 after watching Linus' review "Bose QC35 vs Sennheiser PXC550". I am fully aware of the audio quality limitations of the QC35, however, I bought them for the active noise cancellation and form-factor, especially while traveling since I tend to travel a lot on airplanes (they work flawlessly in that regard). However, I have some concerns and questions. 1) How the heck do you change the battery in these things?! Is it completely sealed in and simply cannot be swapped at all? It used to be removable on the QC25's ... I just feel like a $350 headphone should last a bit longer than the typical 2 year battery life-span in today's electronics. A pretty big let-down IMO. 2) Wearing the QC35 with glasses reduces the active noise cancellation drastically ... since the seal between the cups and your head is now broken with the glasses' frame going through. What is your solution to this? Are there specific glasses frames that work better? Do they sell custom replacement cups out there that support or work better with glasses? It's kind of a deal breaker sadly. 3) I feel that the non-removable battery alone would warrant me to return them, I really do love the ANC when it works (without glasses). It's rather amazing and I've never heard anything like it. So my final question is, any other in-ear recommendation that can cancel noise just as good or better? I'm open to all suggestions and all prices. It saddens me to have to return them, the isolation is fantastic! UPDATE (1/26/17): I ended up just returning the Bose QC35, disappointing sound quality when compared to the competition and what really killed it for me was the fact that it doesn't function while being charged... For a $350 headphones I'd expect it to at least do that. But nope, the second it's plugged in for charging, it turns off completely and disconnects Bluetooth until charging is done. So forget charging it from a battery bank while using it on an airplane... I'm going to give the Sony MDR-1000X a shot, I've read great reviews on them, I hope Linus reviews them soon too! But side by side at the store (compared to the QC35) they pretty much DESTROYED the Bose with sound quality, and at first glance, dare I say that they have better noise cancellation?! I'll find out more once I buy them!

Hi the tv goes in standby when i play ps4 after a couple of minutes. Panasonic viera tx 55e2 950 e (just disconnected ethernet) Logitech Harmony Elite (wifi works) Bose soundtouch 300 wireless sound bar system Bose acoustimass 300 bass module Bose virtually invisible 300 (not connected to wifi or ethernet) Ps4 standard 500gb (ethernet) Tv and sound bar is just a couple months old. The problem was first when we all installed it. After some chances and hanging the tv on the wall cable management we back connected the Bose and ethernet to tv. I first tought it was the TV that's not the case now any more. When we did not everything connected it worked perfect just help someone.

Ok I've got to be quick here, there is an awesome deal right now that makes the Bose QC 35 II only $258 dollars. I've been considering getting a better pair of headphones for a while as my current headphones are hurting my ears after 15 minutes of wearing them (Turtlebeach PX22). The reviews I have seen have pointed out a few flaws but emphasized the comfort of the bose. I am mainly looking for comfort, good sound quality (I call myself an audiophile but use $40 headphones still, so this is an improvement no matter what), and noise cancelling is a plus (I've never had noise cancelling headphones but it would be nice). Should I order the Bose or is there a different pair I should consider? https://www.rakuten.com/shop/proelectronics-distributing-inc/product/Bose-QC35S2-PARENT/ https://www.androidpolice.com/2019/03/23/bose-quietcomfort-35-ii-noise-cancelling-headphones-with-assistant-just-258-at-rakuten-with-coupon-46-off/

Bose has just unveiled a $199 pair of AR sunglasses called "Frames". They are now available for preorder on their site here and will ship in January 2019. Source: https://globalpressroom.bose.com/us-en/pressrelease/view/1965/FALSE/0 Let's get through the boring stuff first. On Bose's website, it states that the sunglasses come in two different "timeless" styles, Rondo and Alto. Now let's get into its specs. The glasses themselves weigh just 45 grams according to TheVerge. You can find their article on Bose Frames here. A typical pair of sunglasses weighs around 30-35 grams so they are just a bit heavier than the sunglasses you have now. Inside of the Frames lies a lithium battery that's capable of 3.5 hours of playback and 12 hours on standby. They can be fully recharged in less than 2 hours. " The glasses contain no earbud or earcup. The glasses have an "ultra-small microphone" and multifunction button embedded on the right side of the glasses. The multifunction button is used for power, pairing, voice assistants (Siri, google assistant, etc.), Calls, and obviously play/pause and skip. Bose markets Frames as an "audio ar wearable". According to them, the glasses don't change what you see of add things to it. Instead, it can see where you are and where you're facing by a 9-axis motion sensor and the GPS on your phone. It uses that information to add a layer of audio that connects you to that place and time for "endless travel, learning, entertainment, gaming, and more." Could this mean a game where you visit certain places and collect something? I don't know I've never heard of a game like that *cough* *cough* audio pokemon go *cough* *cough*. Bose states that they are developing AR experiences. To conclude I want to say that this seems like a good idea but I don't understand why you need this, I just seems like a novelty item at this point but we'll wait and see. Maybe they will make an audio pokemon go like game. The way they market it is a bit misleading because AR usually refers to our eyes being augmented.

Buy Bose QC 25 on Amazon: http://geni.us/vwBfc Buy Bose QC 25 on Newegg: http://geni.us/49B2yY2 Buy Panasonic ErgoFit on Amazon: http://geni.us/mDZslA Buy Noot Products K11 on Amazon: http://geni.us/nTO78o The Bose Quiet Comfort 25 active noise cancelling headphones may be the best value over-ear cans you can get in 2018- unless poor build quality gives competitors like Sony, Mpow, and Cowin a chance to catch up…

Hello everyone I'm currently struggling with what headphones I should choose. My current headphones (Skullcandy hesh 3) recently broke, and so I'm trying to find a good replacement. My current options are Bose QC35 ii, and Sony 1000xm3. I prefer comfort over design. Or should I wait for the Bose QC 45? I have a budget of about $450. Thank you!

I bought the Bose QuietComfort 35 (Series II) primarily for the active noise cancelling. The sound is average for headphones. More bass than I expected. I wish the headphones cost $200 but the msrp is $350 usd. The active noise cancelling is amazing when I play games on my loud gaming laptop. I can barely hear my laptop fans. I use the Bose QuietComfort 35 (Series II) for gaming. I use the Sennheiser HD 650 for watching movies and listening to music. I would recommend the QuietComfort 35 (Series II) for airplane traveling and gaming using a loud laptop.

Ok so my old Sony MDR-ZX-770BN headphones just broke on me, so i need new headphones. Requirements: -Works both wireless(bluetooth) and wired -Noise cancelling -under 300 € Right now im looking at the bose quiet comfort 35's, because everyone says that they have the best noise cancelling. But they are a bit expensive at 299 € https://www.amazon.de/Bose-QuietComfort-Wireless-Kopfhörer-Standard-Schwarz/dp/B0756CYWWD/ref=sr_1_4?s=ce-de&ie=UTF8&qid=1527955255&sr=1-4&keywords=bose Also i know that the Sony 1000x M2 are very nice, they are on top of my "to buy" list https://www.amazon.de/Sony-Kabelloser-High-Resolution-WH-1000XM2-Akkulaufzeit-schwarz/dp/B074ZRG5MN/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1527955519&sr=8-1&keywords=sony+noise+cancelling But what are the best noise cancelling bluetooth headphones around 200-300 €? I don't know. Also a quote from techradar about the sony's: https://www.techradar.com/news/audio/portable-audio/best-noise-cancelling-headphones-1280490

Hi, I've been battling this issue with my setup for years! This has been happening since my old computer (scorpio) and now occuring on my somewhat new one (scorpiov2). I don't know if it's that my power is dirty or something, but my power substation for my town is actually pretty new! I will face this issue weather I'm using my Bose speakers, or my monitor ones via HDMI. I have a big battery backup which powers 2 servers, and my pc, then from the UPS it goes through a power strip behind my PC, then to my PC. I have also tried numerous soundcards, and and mobo's. My audio setup (after plugging into PC) is fairly complicated because I am a audio hardware geek, and I make music. Another thing to take note is that my PSU is brand new (1 week old), my old one had coil whine. Is there any fix to this? Thanks! P.S. I am also using a mini hum eliminator in attempt to fix this, but had very little effect.

My bose 301 series IV speakers gow on the inside when i turn the volume to about 70 watts so it shouldn't be overvolting because the max continual wattage is 75 watts... i can see the glowing through the bass ports. Is this bad? Is there something wrong with my speakers? Thanks In Advance.

Hey! My old Bose somethingsomething earplugs died on me after roughly 5-6 years of use (even survived TWO trips through the washer and drier), and I'm looking to get some new ones. My parameters are as following: In ear, noise cancellation, and wired. 1. In ear because I can't stand the bulk of a headset when I'm out and about, and use a helmet a lot. (And I don't want to mess up my hair) 2. Noise cancellation because I work in a noisy environment, and I travel a fair bit. 3. Wired because I'd like the ease of mind of not having to charge another device just so I can listen to music. (If the battery runs out I can still listen to music, just won't have NC). So my choice fell on the Bose QuietComfort 20 for android, but it's almost half a decade old now, and they still want 300-320 USD for the damn things (in Norway). Is it a smart buy still, or am I paying a hefty price for old outdated technology? Should I go for the apple version instead (~250 USD) and forego all the handy remote features? Thanks in advance for any input!

I recently got the schiit modi 2 and magni 3, and they have worked perfectly with my HD650, my 2.1 speaker set up and my apple earbuds ( I only did this to see if it would work ). However, I have a pair of Bose QC15's, a HyperX Cloud Revolver and some Bose sound sport in-ear, these 3 headphones sound HEAVILY distorted. You can not even make out words in the song. I was wondering if this is a headphone issue or an amp issue. It is very strange and annoying. I am very ignorant so I was wondering if someone can enlighten me on what is going on. I plan on buying more high end headphones in the future and want to make sure that my AMP/DAC setup is working properly. Thanks!

Link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VW7U8X4 Same ANC as on latest QC-35. No wireless and some other stuff tho. PS Note that there are different lots for android/apple products.

Does anyone here have any experience with these "wearable" speakers? https://www.bose.com/en_us/products/speakers/portable_speakers/soundwear-companion.html#v=soundwear_companion_black I certainly think it's an interesting idea but some part of me is still very cautious. Maybe it has amazing sound quality and [Insert Other Audio-related Technical Jargon Here {probably including, but are not limited to: wave_, frequency_, _response,_highs_,_treble_...etc.}] while also not being (too) obnoxious to people around you, but again, I'm not sure how effective a speaker this is. Let me know your thoughts if you've had the chance to play with one.

So I'm running some crappy £5 speakers my mum found in a charity shop. They get the job done but I'm looking to upgrade soon and was after some outside opinions. I'm considering the Bose companions but I'm open to any suggestions since they're relatively expensive; let me know if there are any better sets regarding value for money. I'm also after a headset so if you have any suggestions please let me know. Not really looking to spend much more than £100-£150 on both the speakers and the headset. Please bare in mind I'm in the UK if that means anything. Cheers.
