Recantly i have bought new components from Amazon. I bought ryzen 7 5800x asrock 750w 80 plus gold and rtx 4070 oc. My specs before upgrade is 3060 oc, ryzen 5 2600x and 550w 80plus. Im not new to pc building. Had no problem at first. After a day or 2 tbh i lost track of time. What happened is that i turned on pc and had no displays on both monitors and no lights on keyboard and mouse. Pc seems to be turned on but nothing. Tried to reseat hdmi and display port but nothing. Only after pc rest by pressing the button everything turns on normally. What is weird pc runs great besides hight temps on cpu while gaming cos of bad airflow (nzxth510). Tested long gaming session on cyberpunk max graphics with raytracing and pathtracing all stable. I am bit lost what to do. One thing i have to do is install newest drivers mby that helps. What is weird is that this problem doesn't happen everytime i turn it on. Sometimes it happens and i reset pc and it turns on normally and sometimes it just turns on no problem. Hope that is just mby loose connection or driver. Hope i explained my situation well enough. Thank you -
Hi My PC posts and i can also enter into bios and every thing shows perfectly fine but my pc wont load any OS and i can't even reinstall Windows it just gets stuck on Windows logo. I also tried booting into ubuntu using a bootable usb drive but it just get stuck on a blank screen can any one help -
Initially when I built my PC, I purchased a 500gb 860 Samsung evo ssd. That is what contained my boot drive and all of my data. After a while I decided I needed more storage so I decided to add an M.2(Samsung 970 evo 1T) to my build. I have been told that it's faster to run things off of an M.2 so I cloned my 860 evo to my 970 evo with the Samsung cloning tool. I want to reformat the 860 evo so that I can use it for storage, but everytime I have it plugged into the PC it boots off of this drive(which I can't reformat the drive if the PC has bottled off of it) . I have changed the booting order in the BIOS but it still boots to that drive anyways. I have tried using the boot menu, but it refuses to boot of the 970 evo when the 860 evo is plugged in. If the 860 evo is not plugged into the PC, everything works fine and the PC boots off of the 970 evo. -
After i checked the requirement to support for windows 11, I'm thinking to prepare for Windows 11 update. so I've decided to enabled TPM 2.0 for my PC, but it start to behave weirdly after i enabled TPM from the bios. My motherboard MSI z370 gaming plus. 1. Since I enabled TPM 2.0 it started to double post but when I start the pc. The sequence like below. (Note: After it successfully boot into windows, if i restart PC, it will not double post) Power button> MSI logo> Restart> MSI logo> Windows 2. After some reading, I found out that secure boot also needed to support for windows 11, so i also enabled secure boot from the bios. From the beginning, I assume double post was fixed after I enabled secure boot at the bios. everything seems fine, no double post and manage to boot in to windows. After I cut off the power and start the PC during the next day, the PC will freeze at the bios splash screen. The sequence like below. Power button> MSI logo (Stuck) It just hangs there and I can't go into bios whatsoever, clicking any button from the keyboard no respond at all, unless a hard restart by clicking the power button. Power button> MSI logo (Stuck)> power button(hard reset) > MSI Logo> Windows So what I've tried so far. 1. Enabled TPM 2.0 but disabled secure boot, it will still restart twice only boot into windows. 2. Disabled TPM 2.0 but enabled secure boot it will freeze at bios splash screen unless hard restart. 3. disabled both TPM and secure boot, it will still restart twice only boot into windows. anyone can advise how to solve this issue? all these issues happened after I enabled TPM 2.0 from the bios. MB: MSI Z370 Gaming Plus (MS-7B61) Bios ver: E7B61IMS.130 Bios Build Date: 03/07/2018 -
I have a little problem, i tried to do some Undervolting to an AMD Athlon ii x4 635, i turned off the computer (without plugging off the rig), when i Push the Button, fans start to spin and the rig delays about 1 minute before starting to post 40 seconds when i turn the voltage back to stock, everything starts normally. When i plug it off and back on it posts with no delay This is my old rig Motherboard GA-M68MT-S2P rev 3.0 Amd Athlon ii x4 635 2.9 ghz 2Gb Ram ddr3 1333 mhz (will be 6 later) GT 710 1gb ddr3 Hard drive Sata 3 5700 rpm 500 gb PSU Noganet (generic) 500w ATX One thing to note is that the PSU is not presenting any visible malfunctioning or instability, and not much temperature when the rig is working at 100%

Hello, my laptop froze and I did a hard reset. But after boot up it is now always stuck at the boot up splash screen and can't even access bios. Any help would be appreciated. -
is there anything i can do to fix this? On Fresh bootup, every time GPU usage is around 20-30 even with everything closed. Please help. Thanks

Hi I was cleaning my PC when I disconnected the boot SSD. After I was done when I tried to turn the PC on I was stuck at the windows loading screen with the dots stuck. I restarted the PC and then it got stuck at the same screen with preaping automatic repair stuck . I tried to enter the win recovery environment but I couldn't get it no matter what button or key I press (which I found online such as F2,F8,F11,F12 shift +f11 etc). I then tried a bootable USB but it also gets stuck at the same screen after I select it as a primary boot drive. I don't have a recovery drive created but even if create a recovery usb from another PC, how am I to get into the recovery environment if all the PC does is get stuck on the boot loader screen. Please help. Thank you.

As the title says, I have issue right now that I don't know what is causing of that issue. Because I have change every component in my pc except my ram. So does a faulty ram can affect speed of boot up and freezing? -
Hello, I have an issue with my ram. I went on a trip for 3 days and came back home to my pc not booting up. (my PC was working perfectly fine before hand) I did some research and decided to swap around ram and removed a ram stick and now my pc is able to turn on. Was just wondering why my ram has just suddenly stopped working when i havent touched my pc for 3 days. NEED HELP ASAP PLZ

OH $H!T! I put my pc on sleep and now it will not power on. The "clear cmos" blue led lights up, and I have unplugged everything but the power for cpu and motherboard. All IO ports are empty and all internal ports and such are empty. Where I clear the bios and use a key to start up the computer (I thought the power button or wires went bad) it hear a click sound.... more like a fan trying to start but can't. It is coming from the psu. Is my PSU bad? FYI GPU is out as well. MSI Z97s Krait Edtion i5 4690k 1050w EVGA PSU

guys anyone experience this error? my hackintosh suddenly won't boot stuck on prohibited sign try verbose mode it gives me error which is error cannot mount root, errno = 19. -
Hello, thank you for taking the time to read this. I am trying to use a GeForce GT 620 on an EXP Beast through MPCIE, with my Toshiba Satellite c55dt-a5106 on Windows 10, (BIOS verison 1.80) and when I first cold plugged it, the computer showed it as VGA adapter, but with error 18, so I installed the latest drivers from Nvidia, and I restarted the computer after it installed, as directed by Nvidia, but now it only either ends up with BSOD (error code: 0xc0000001) when starting up, or it stops booting at a black screen with a text cursor in the top left corner of the screen. Does anyone have any ideas, information, anything? Also, please tell me if this is missing any info.

Okay, so, I'm a bit surprised and frightened atm. Basically, what happened is that I put my pc to sleep mode and after a while I forgot it's in sleep mode and shut off the PSU and unplugged it. I did some rearranging of cables inside my case and i unplugged and plugged in again a fan. At this point, it hit me - my pc was in sleep mode, it wasn't completely shutdown before I unplugged it. I plugged it back in (keep in mind it had been off for a good 15-20 mins) and turned it on. The bootup process went unusually slow, and then, I logged in, and all my open programs were still there. So, now I ask the questions: 1. Is this normal? 2. Could I have damaged something? 3. What should I do next?

Hi guys, i dont have a cpu for the time being but ive already put together all the parts. Just to be ure, my motherboard lights up but non of the fans are spinning. Is this suppose to happen? Is the cpu controlling the fan? Thanks a lot im veey noob here

Hi, I just assembled a new PC and it isn't even booting up into bios. I check the monitor and it works fine with my other setup, the motherboard bios is up to date, everything seems to be plugged in right (i checked multiple times). But the PC just won't start. Everything in the cpu seems to be working fine, as all thr fans are spinning including the cpu fan and everything lights up fine, still no bios. I can't seem to figure out the issue, Please help

**What I'm about to ask is something of a problem which I used to have (no longer do), and I managed to find out where the problem was, but what I want to know now is WHAT was actually causing the problem.** So I was running my rig (specs below) for about 3 years now, and for the last 6 months or so, I used to have this problem where the system would turn on when I push the Power button, the lights & fans would come alive and spin for like a split second before shutting down. I do this like 3-4 times and each time the same result, and then finally the system boots up on the 5th or 6th attempt and everything works fine once I'm there. I ran benchmarks, stress tests and everything was in top shape, nothing I could find which was glaringly wrong in anything that was detectable through software. Sometimes, when I used to turn off the PSU switch, unplug the power cord and plug it back in and turn on, it used to boot up no problem. But only like 60% of the time, not always. Additionally, the problem seemed to manifest more severely when I shut down the system and come back to turn it on in like a few hours. But when I turn it off and only come back to it after quite a while (like the next morning), USUALLY it used to boot up in the very first attempt. I clearly suspected this was a power supply issue (Antec VP650P v2) but I never really got around to digging further as I was pretty busy these last few months (and as the system wasn't just outright refusing to boot, I treated this rather as an annoyance than a genuine problem). However recently, I did quite the upgrade to my system with a new 1080Ti, and as I was aware of the potentially faulty power supply I had, I went ahead and bought a new Corsair RM850x to replace it with...wasn't gonna risk the 1080Ti. Sure enough, once I swapped the PSU, the problem was gone. Now whenever I press the Power button, the system just boots up flawlessly, like it did when I first put everything together back in 2015. But what I wanna know is, what actually went on there? What exactly was causing this problem with my old PSU? Surely I can't be the only guy that faced a similar issue? Anyone fittin' to share some knowledge/experience? I just wanna know what the problem was, in case it turns out to be something I can fix in future. Are PSUs known to do this when they go bad? Specs: i7-4790k (liquid cooled by Corsair H80i v1) MSI Z97 Gaming 7 MoBo Corsair Vengeance 16gb (2x8) DDR3, 1866 mhz MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G*** (replaced with MSI GTX 1080Ti Gaming) Samsung 840 EVO 120gb SSD running Win10 Pro 64-bit 2 x 2TB 7200rpm HDDs (a Seagate Barracuda and a WD Enterprise Edition) Optical Drive 3 x case fans Antec VP650P v2 (replaced with Corsair RM850x) *** 3.5G duh Note that in both cases (with the new & old PSUs), I was getting power via a UPS. I even tried using different UPS models but it didn't effect the problem in any way.

As the title says, my PC won't turn on. Idk what happened I just heard a "zap" and PC turnoff. I tested my PSU, its not the problem, no burned smell and burned part too. -
So guys for about the last month I have had issues with my computer going super slow on boot. And I mean super duper storm trooper slow! My system is as follows: on boot my mouse completely freezes and my cpu and memory usage shot upto around 80-100%. This can last for as long as 5 minuets. the only major chang I can think of is shortly before I started experiencing this issue I went from 1 dell s2716dg monitor to 3. I doubt that is the issue. below is a picture of my startup programs.

My brothers new computer was working fine for a while. Until it now comes up with a “critical process died” error. I googled the problem and it told me to do some “sfc/scannow” command into the cmd option. It told me that my computer has a repair pending and that I just needed to restart, all sounds good right? Well when I restart it goes to a screen saying it’s preparing the repair, diagnosing, and attempting repairs on my computer. Then the next thing I️ see is a “automatic repair couldn’t repair your pc, press advanced options to try other options to repair your pc or shut down to turn off your pc” I’ve tried everything in the advanced options tab, troubleshooting, refreshing, and then like I’ve said I’ve tried to sfc/scannow thing. It’s a cycle that i don’t know how to stop.

Hi, On my ASUS Z170-DELUXE, there is a fast boot option, when I turn it on, it makes no difference. I want to get rid of the POST screen that says "Press F2 or DEL to enter BIOS settings." I want it to not display the POST screen and just go straight to Windows. I've tried setting the POST delay to 0 secs, but it didn't make a difference. Any help is appreciated!

Hello. I finally got around to building a computer and it was working fine until a few days ago I turned it on and something strange happened. Directly after the msi dragon bios prompt screen, when it should be booting Windows, the screen starts flashing white with two black squares on it. It only seems to happen after it has been off for some time, like over night, and after turning restarting it a few times it eventually works. So if someone wants just a bare bones windows... graphical display, sound, network capabilities. What can be done to get windows to boot up even faster after a fresh install of windows 7. Other then hardware upgrades... example.. ssd. -
Hey guys! So I got a pair of active speakers a few months back, Argon 7460A to be more precise. (Couldn't insert the damn link in the post for some reason) Now everytime I boot my computer up my speakers pop at regular intervals during the boot sequence, not once I get into Windows or when shut it off. Only when I boot it up and this has been driving me crazy for the longest time, mainly the fact that I can't figure out why they are acting this way. The problem is forcing me to use a 3.5mm cable instead of USB, which is supposed to have superior sound quality (maybe it's just "snake oil", correct me if I'm wrong here) and of couse I'd like to get the best sound quality possible out of the speakers. I've tried various things like updating my motherboard drivers etc, turning on/off units in the control panel, just switching USB-plugs etc and nothing seems to work. Anyway I've got a Asus z97i-plus motherboard and some ~15$ gold plated USB-cable connected to the speakers. What could possibly be the problem here or should I just stick with a 3.5mm cable? I'd rather not if it means sacrificing sound quality. Thank you for your time.
