I am planning to test an audiobook via Linus Audible promotion thing. So I am searching for the book that would equal the start of the 4th season. As far as I know there are 21 books and 7 seasons planned, so does this mean every 3rd book is the start of a new season? Is book number 10 the start of the 4th movie season then? Thanks for your help.

I recently read an excellent book called 'But How Do It Know?' by J. Clark Scott" which introduces the basics of computing (starting with the premise of bits and bytes, and quickly moving into how they can be used in computers for extraordinarily complex tasks). Unlike many textbooks, he doesn't just give definitions and examples, but walks the reader through the subject in way that confers a full understanding of the material. I highly recommend this book to anyone not in the computer science field (myself) and also to younger people (high school, college) who have a curiosity or interest in computing/technology. It's a very easy read, although I'm used to research journals, and Scott does an excellent job of first explaining things with real-world analogies before diving into the deep end. This kept me interested and able to follow the logic throughout the book. The book clarified many things for me and I feel its a must read for everyone given our technological advancements, which would otherwise seem magical. Even if you know how to build PCs or overclock, you may find that you don't fully understand the fundamental basics of computing, which is exactly what this book addresses. I will also recommend a short video to those who are too lazy to read (FYI, the book is just as effective as this video!): . It effectively walks you through how the a CPU works and I found it to be a good complementary source to this book. OK, so I'm using ASUS Transformer Book T100 for about 2 months now, so I got peaty good repression about it and here's my review. First, I'm sorry, my English isn't the best (very sloppy) and the review isn't very detailed because it would felled like I'm selling it to you. Slika I you look at the specks you'll think that it's nothing special, it has 10" screen, 4-core Bay Trail Atom CPU, 2GB of ram and an 64GB SSD. But once you see that you'll getting 32-bit tablet and a keyboard fore less than MS Surface with RT, now that's a good bargain (for me, I don't know about you) Build quality Don't look for high quality in this tablet. The tablet it self has plastic back that is finger magnet and the screen isn't any better. I found my self wiping the screen every few hours when I used as my primary machine for some time. The buttons are located on the top (power button) and on the left side (start button and volume + -) they are OK, sometimes you can't relay feel if you pressed it or not, specially the power button. The keyboard looks like it's from another product and just put together with this tablet by accident. While the tablet is all glossy (screen and plastic body) the keyboard has brushed aluminium feel and look. The keyboard can band if you're not careful and became wonky after time. I had to align it few times. The hinge that connect the tablet and keyboard isn't the best, tablet has few mm of space and it can move for about 1cm back and forward Performance For benchmarking this tablet I used a lot of games (Rouge Legacy, FEZ, Minecraft, HL1, HL2, Portal 2, CSS, ...) and came to the conclusion that with the lowest graphic settings (some can be normal but don't expect nice gameplay), this tablet can be portable gaming best (well not beast but more like cute bunny) with I got about 4 to 5 hours of gameplay (11 to 9 hour battery with just browsing or watching movies). Outputs This tablet hasn't much outputs, on the tablet it self we can find micro-USB (for charging) and micro- HDMI and mic-audio combo 3,5 mm port. On the bottom is Asus proprietary connector for the keyboard and on keyboard, there is only USB-A 3.0. Pros The thing that I like the most is the fact that the speakers don't suck, they can be very loud but they are definitely better than most laptops. Battery last up to 11 hours (field tested Ljubljana, Slovenia - Hannover, Germany) Cons The thing that I don't like the most is the fact that you need to charge the battery through micro-USB, this method is very slow and painful to watch (you're getting 2mA USB charger with the tablet), next thing is screen brightens. I think that this tablet was made for people that are inside the house all day because when you're outside on the bright day and you want to use this tablet, you're getting nothing. The screen brightness is very very low and the fact that this is glossy screen is much worse. When we already talk about the screen I need to mention that the tablet can detect up to 10 fingers but not the pressure. The touchpad is one of the worst on the planet (no comment) Final Conclusion If you need cheap windows tablet with fairly powerful hardware and good battery than this might be tablet for you. BUT I recommend to check some other tablets before you buy this one.

So I was planning to buy a MacBook soon and wanted to ask if 4GB of RAM is enough for OS X. Bare in mind that Mavericks/Yosemite have clever RAM compression I am going to use Lightroom very often and occasionally playing games like CS:GO and L4D2 and Minecraft (without having Lightroom opened). Any help from MacBook/OS X users are appreciated.

So I was planning on saving for a MacBook this Summer-Fall but I don't know if I should get the Haswell MacBook models or the Broadwell models which come out next year. Even in that case i think i could be getting cheaper prices on the Haswell models. Hi, so I'm considering to invest some of my hard earned cash in a mac laptop. What I'm wondering is, how much memory should I get? Since Apple started with this stupid soldering thing you can't really get more memory once you've decided on 8/16 GB. On my desktop pc I'm easily eating up that memory, but this is where I game and I won't be doing any gaming on the laptop. So what do you guys and gals think?

Hi, so I've decided to buy a MBP, but should I get the new smooth retina edition or the older non-retina version? I'm getting a 13" model, the new one has soldered drive and memory, and the old one does not. The pros of the new one is retina screen, newer processor, better battery and really fast ssd that is PCI-based (I think). The old one however has no soldered HDD or memory, so if I wanted I could in theory swap the RAM and HDD out should I ever need to. So what do you people think?

I need something to read. I'm reading The Witcher - Times of Contempt (the 4th book in the series) and I just don't have anything after that one in the pipeline. I've read a lot of fantasy lately and I'd like to take a break from it. I'd really like to read some crime drama like the Godfather by Mario Puzo (possibly my favorite book ever), or something that's similar in tone and subject to the TV series The Wire. I've looked around but I can't find anything that's available in my country, so I'd need something fairly popular. Some additional info. I don't want anything that has swords in it.

Right now I'm looking for a unity c# book and I cam across "Learning C# Programming with Unity 3D by Alex Okita" (sorry for no link, posting from phone) and after some intense googling i found out that it was made for Unity 4.6, but I also saw that someone in the reviews had said that it was made for 5.01. This book seems like exactly what I want right now (I watch online tutorials as well but I can't exactly pull out headphones and a laptop in the middel of school). Does anyone know if this book was updated for Unity 5?
