Hi guys! I'm planning to get a new PC soon, and want something more fancy I decided to bring LED and RGB component to my PC and build around black & blue color scheme But I have not decided the color of my LED strip, it could be either white or blue, or none, please help! - no RGB, it's more expensive... Here is a list of the component that I have: - Mobo: MSi B75A-G43 in *slightly brown*(under white LED, it should be brown) and blue - RAM: 2 sticks of 4GB HyperX blue aluminium heat spreader or Corsair Vengence with black heat spreader - CPU heatsink: ID Cooling 214 - RGB with black heatsink and a black fan frame and white fan blades with RGB covering the fan - Case: Phanteks Eclipse P300 - prob. going to set the small RGB to blue - PSU: a black one with modular function, with black refective cable like any other default modular cable - Case fans: blue fans with blue LED, black fan frame on all of them - Pheripherals: black LG monitor, a G102 Prodigy, a Fuhlen mechanical keyboard with RGB(i set them to white most of the time) - Graphics card: maybe a 380X or a 960 in black/blue - or force them to(i will use some black/blue art marker or black/blue thick paper and fill in any color than black or blue) please help!

It works on my laptop but not my desktop. device is set to default recording device everything is turned up to max volume on it in hopes that it would be picked up. currently running windows 10 version 1803. It was working on it previously but suddenly it is not now.

Hi, right now on my pc i have 1 ssd for OS and software, RAID0 2xWD blue 320gb each (Docs and games). and 2 green for movies and stuff. My question is if i would gain anything else than capacity if i replace the raid 0 with 1 tb WD Black(WD1002FAEX), or it woul be better to go for 2tb Blue instead (WD20EZRZ). Added the raid0 bechmak. Thanks EDIT Added 2 more captures, 2nd its raid clean after formating, and 3rd is with files back again. it gained a bit of speed. Would i get continuos speeds with black?

So I have had my yeti about 9 months now and all of a sudden it has started making this noise. I have tried different cables and it consistently makes this noise. Any help welcome, TIA everyone. yeti.wav

So, I just recently realized that a lot of my friends heard a lot of background noise when I talk with them. I have a Blue Yeti, and when I plug my headset directly in it, it sounds fine, but when I hear the playback from windows, there's this weird grainy background noise, and if I raise my voice even just slightly it gets really distorted. I've tried rolling back my drivers, windows, and 3 cables but the problem persists. Does anyone have any idea as to what could be happening?

Hi, I own a laptop that comes with 128G and now I want to upgrade it with 250G SSD M2. I have searched for a while and concerned to the M2 BLUE & GREEN. I checked the specification of the two types of SSD. As the result, I saw no difference but the price quite made me think again. Anyone knows why the price of SSD M2 BLUE higher than GREEN?

Hi there! I had bought a Blue Snowball iCE Mic couple of months ago.. It was working all fine then but now I am facing issues with it... So I was actually editing a video on Premiere Pro CC when I got to know about the issue.. I was going to use the Mic for voice over but Premiere showed me and error saying that MME Device had an internal error.. I switched up to Audacity to test whether the mic was working or not and Audacity show me this error(attached). I searched up the Internet to find up solutions but no one seemed to work.. In Device Manager, I found that the microphone was properly recognized and it said that the device was working properly.. To test that, I went to speech configuration and clicked on Configure Microphone for speech(or something like that and it showed me another error, again attached)[I am using WINDOWS 10] I have tried the following: Disabling the Device in Device Manager both in sound controllers and Audio Inputs Uninstalling the device from both the sections Updating the device driver software Twisting the cable Trying out different cables Also, the microphone is connected to USB 2.0 as it is not compatible with USB 3.0 I have also attached the screenshot of the sound window where the device is said to have a green check mark I haven't tested it on any other device yet but I will and update the information...(EDIT: I TESTED IT WITH MY LAPTOP AND IT WAS WORKING PERFECTLY) Any solutions would be very helpful.. I am looking forward for help.... Thanks!

Hi i am a uni student who wants a microphone to simple speak to friends when on discord but one that would be good at recording voice over since i am studying game development and will probably use it to record some dialogue at some point. I have literally no idea what to look for, i dont know brands or products except for the blue yeti and razer siren. However i am worried i am buying a reputation and not a quality product so if i could get some help from somebody who knows a thing or to about this kind of product i would be grateful before i go wasting my money. budeget would be between 50 - 120 pounds because i want some left to buy a stand and shock mount. i am also worried about keyboard sounds coming through the microphone.

Hello good people of the internet! This is a buildog i'm doing on a homemade 60% mechanical keyboard. I'm doing this build because my current keyboard (BTC 5100C) is starting to fail, and i didn;t want to go out and buy a normal mechanical again. I'd rather just build it myself, so that it is just the way i want it! Also the failing of my current board means that typing this buildlog is literal hell, because sometimes random keys just don't register. Here's the parts list, everything is bought from Aliexpress. Red means planned Yellow means bought Green means delivered at my place Gateron Blue Switches XD60 PCB GH60 Solid wood case with wrist rest LED hotswap plugs LEDs in different colors Cool Jazz Black/Gray Keycaps Cool Jazz CherryMX PCB mounted stabilizers Braided Mini-USB cable So first things first: The Switches arrived! I went with Gateron Blue switches because i wanted to try something clicky this time, and these have a nice tactile bump. The compatibility with CherryMX keycaps is also definitely a plus! I bought this whole bag for about 20 euro's. Definitely worth the 2 week wait before they where delivered So that is it for now. I'm still waiting on the rest of the parts, but according to the site most of them have arrived in my country by now! I'll keep updating this as parts start rolling in!

Hey guys, I hope that you can assist me in this issue that I’ve been having with the Mayhems UV Sky Clear Blue. Thanks! (Side note- I know that the pump is far enough from the LED that the reaction isn’t easy to see there... but that doesn’t explain the fluid in the pipes not reacting.)

I lost another drive, this time a WD green. This is the first WD to go, much better than my track record with Seagate, so I will stick to WD for now. So I need a new WD drive. Question is which do I choose. WD changed their drive lineup a bit. My priorities are (in order): Reliability (replacing drives is more expensive than just buying a good one to begin with - I think), performance (balanced read/write), Low noise/vibration and lastly price. Use case: Short to medium term storage of high volume, small files (for photography business) in silent desktop PC. Might be moved over to a NAS at some point. So I'm considering WD red/gold maybe purple. If I'm correct (and please correct me if I'm wrong); reds will be great for the eventual NAS use-case, but are read-optimized, and will be slow in the balanced environment of my photo editing workflow (almost equal read-write operations). Purple again is write optimized. So what about Gold??? is seems like the perfect fit but is much more expensive. Is it really that much better in terms of reliability and performance, or is it just a "because I can"-overpriced kind of drive, or is it really worth it's weight in Gold? ~Blame Linus for the bad pun, he started it...~ EDIT: After some thought, I think a low latency will be more important than the read/write balance. Reliability remains the top priority.

Hi all! I am new on this forum and I would like to say hello to all of you starting a new modding project Based on a CT eSports Galaxy, "Project Hyacinthum" will be based on a light blue / alluminium color theme and will feature a complete custom water cooling loop with custom distro plates This will be the first casemod I realize with my new CNC router so this will be also a test mod realized entirely by myself and not with the help of an external company I surely have to thank Cortek, a cool company based in Italy, for supplying me the chassis plus the PSU and rainbow programmable fans Give their site a visit at: http://www.cortekesports.com/main/index.html But now.. it's time for some starting pictures! Look at beautiful and well realized is that case. I love the colours and the materials used are really really good And this is what I am currently working on Completely accurate 3D model made with solidworks, to design the new plate I will be using for this mod.. for me is something like a challenge with myself, testing the new router with something not so easy.. but.. you will see later For now this is all! Stay tuned and feel free to ask everything you want, I will try to answer your question! Oh, and if you want to stay more and more update, visit my fb page and IG account in my signature:D Thank you all! FlowMods -

Im looking to buy a new microphone for my youtube channel and I can't decide if I should wait and get something really good or if I should get something decent like a Blue Snowball then maybe keep that until I can afford something really good or even go Ice then Yeti and eventually something really high end. Any recommendations? Also I'm 13 and I can't get a job so money is limited. Right now i have a Rode videomicro, it's not that i'm not satisfied with the audio quality it's just that I also use it on my camera and it's annoying to move it back and forth.

It all started on an aspiring kid's (me) PCPartPicker page. I was a Sophomore in High School and I finally got a job at McDonald's. All summer I was dreaming of the awesome build I would have, all cool and stuff with all the bells and whistles. Starting price was approximately $2300. This included the following: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/EnsignLedo/saved/dbdvVn i7 - 3930k ASUS Sabertooth X79 ASUS GTX 780 DC02 SAMSUNG 840 EVO 1TB SSD Seagate Barracuda 3TB HDD Corsair H100i 32GB Corsair Vengeance (8 x 4GB) DDR3 - 1866 Mhz Corsair RM850 Windows 7 Professional I couldn't remember what case I originally wanted, but I still had high hopes of getting that 3930k setup after I got my case: Eventually, after my parents warned me about spending too much money, I settled on something else. They were willing to loan me up to $1500 and I could pay them back over time with my new McDonald's job. This is what I settled with: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/EnsignLedo/saved/4NWyf7 i5-3570k Corsair H100i ASUS P8Z77-V PRO ASUS GTX 770 DCuii 2GB 8GB Corsair Vengeance (2x4GB) 1866 Mhz Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD Ultra Rogue M925 case Asus - DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer Microsoft Windows 7 Professional OEM 64-bit (yeah, didn't know better) Super excited, I ordered it, waited for a few days, and finally got my parts. Sadly, I don't think I have any pictures of the building process, but here was my first post after I actually got it: (Yes, I was very weird as a 14 year old...) This was it though. I had my first PC. I installed everything on it, and my awesome parents got me a VGA... Yes a VGA "Gaming" Monitor from compaq... A little something like this: Yeah, gross. But hell, it worked. I played my favorites, such as Counter Strike: Source (at a pretty dang good 200 FPS ish, I loved it) and a few other games. Sadly, I couldn't play on the weekends and had to be off by 10pm. Dangit Mom! Water cooling was great, was getting about 28C idle and it peaked at around 50-55C running some benchmarks like P95 and what not. WooHoo! After a little time, I thought it was a good idea to replace the thermal paste on my GTX 770 with some Arctive Silver 5: If I remember correctly, it did help a bit. I think the temps dropped from about 75C to around 70C, so a fair improvement. Here's a pic of the mad setup on that weird as fuck glass desk I used to have... Time passed and it was eventually Christmas... Oh man! I had so many things on my list and I couldn't stop thinking about livestreaming games and just upgrading things! This happened: Contents include: Avermedia Live Gamer HD C985 ASUS VG248QE (yes, before G-sync existed, pretty much) 5-port dumb hub so I can use the PS3 on ethernet! WooHoo! This was when I kinda realized that upgrading would be a good idea. I love the 144hz monitor especially for Counter Strike and the other games that could actually run on it, but for some it was lacking. At this point, I was already at 4.8 Ghz at about 1.35 V-core, hitting about 85C on synthetic tests. Man my freaking i5 was a beat, and it was never de-lidded! Woohoo Ivy Bridge!!! It was at this point I got super pissed. I wrote about 30 instagram posts worth when I pressed Ctrl Z on this editor... and got deleted back to this point with no Ctrl Shift Z or redo button. Pissed. Anyways, got a golitahus mousepad. These trittons were pretty dang nice: LED kit arrived: Saturated as shit, lol: Setup as of Feb 2014: Got a third Acer monitor and a Razer Deathadder 2013. 6400 Dpi was freaking sick: Did my best to cable manage the shit out of my setup and removed the weird middle piece: Got some goodies... didn't know the DVI splitter only duplicated the image at 1280 x 1024... Yep... great upgrade. The right front foot was a little messed up, but it was fine: Everything out: Everything back in. Man, what a view. Big nice clear window and plenty of airflow. This was along with 5 SP120 and 1 SP140 fans. Edit: Also, I forgot to mention, but he I got another 2 4GB sticks of 1866Mhz Vengeance: First power on after a trip to St. Louis. The shudder is the CD drive and a mix of fans and what not. This thing... I loved the way it sounded. I hope I never need to get rid of this CD drive: Linus Xbox One burn, cause why not: Moved my desk downstairs next to my dad cause why not. System my mom, brother, and I built for my dad: MSI Twin Frozr III GTX 660 M925 Rogue (my old case) CX500m (still runs after 3.5 years. Eat that, CX haters) 1TB Seagate Barracuda 8 GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 Mhz DDR3 ASUS Z97-PRO Pretty decent photo, I must say. Makes me feel nostalgic... Edit: I actually just noticed, here you can see the twisty tie shit I used to support the GPU. It worked pretty damn well for how heavy that fricken card was. Heck yeah, G10 POWA... and a 840 Evo 500GB Installed. Somewhere inbetween all that, I got some actual LEDs which you can see on the HDD cage hanging there: First LAN party at my friend's house: Cool LED picture I guess: ALERT: MAJOR UPGRADE Yes, Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 4- *COUGH*... 3.5 GB This was shipped to Colorado to attend LAN Fest with my brother who I haven't seen in three years: Back home. You may noice the lack of side panel... The glass was ruined in transit via UPS back to New York. Pretty decent shot of the new GPU in. In this post I mention that I replaced a corsair fan that had run for a nearly consecutive 9775 hours (407 days). I want to report that after about 34,500 hours, the other 4 SP120 and 1 SP140 fan are still running hella strong today (though with the open case, it doesn't do much... lol). Glad I only did this in chalk...: Eventually sold the 770 on eBay for like $200: Somewhere in here, I got a dope ass Cooler Master CM Storm Quickfire TK from my parents. It was my first Cherry MX Blue keyboard and is still in use today. The right Shift LED never really worked from the start, but I am happy to report that as of about mid-November, 2017, it started working. Keys still feel fresh and I clean it regularly. Great fucking keyboard. Nice little remodel with official 4 monitors now: Though I was grounded, I managed to get my parents to let me clean my PC: Back together and... whoa do you see that? hek yeh, actual painted stripes. I do think they look pretty good, so screw you if you don't, lol, jk Eventually got some white LED's to balance out the ungoldy Blue: Heckin' cool G27: Getting ready for a dope AF LAN party: Dope AF LAN Party: We tried hosting a Child's Play Livestream. I think we got about $150, so pretty good. Attempted to mount the G27: Fit snug under a folding table, and my dad seemed to enjoy it: Back in Colorado... granted not with my PC, but we hosted a pretty awesome 24 Hour livestream that got $2,525 for Child's Play Charity: Drifted a R35 GTR, lol: And, this is where it kinda started to go downhill for BlueFire: I spent a lot of time and money getting my car to where it is today... probably in a worse condition cosmetically, but it took a lot of my time away from the PC. And then I thought about selling my computer to get a better one... Besides the fact that I can't believe I did, no fricken way was someone gonna do anything above $1000. Started to get into Dirt Rally: Got some steam controllers and a steam link. Was pretty dope: What could this be for? hmmmm Yup, and this is where the majority of the 400-500 hours came from: As soon as I started to use it, my drifitng and driving in general sky rocketed: First reverse entry: Brought her back to my friend's house after two years since the first one and got some VR action going with my friend's Dev Kit 1. It was fucking awesome for what looked like 360i and 500x telescopic zoom, lol: Sometime around early 2016 I got the Kingston Hyper X Cloud IIs. After two years, they still sound great and the leather ear-muff feel very squishy and are still in perfect condition (aside from some normal skin oils). This was what most of 2016 was, using it for video, and just chilling in my room. Computer just kept chugging along: Drove 2400 miles to NC and back for MATG: Finally, some computer stuff!!! Cleaned her out before I started college at UAlbany. Very, very bad. 1 year of not cleaning: I eventually start to really get into making YouTube videos with her. She went through a lot of time rendering videos. Also to note, still on the TX850M at 4.8 Ghz: Some minor things happened during my freshman year of college. The LEDs came out altogether and I eventually had the TX850M die. It was a solid 40,000 hours of nearly 24 hour a day use until it died. I was impressed it lasted that long, especially pushing that CPU so much. I replaced it for an EVGA Supernova 750 G2. Had decent reviews and just needed something to get my Comp Sci homework done. Back home for the Summer from College. Felt great to get everything clean: How most of my Summer went besides eventually quitting McDonald's for a better moving job: Still, a lot of my creative time and money went into car stuff like this instead of a computer: Finally got to college for my Sophomore year, this is our Living room: Pretty dope build for a friend. He put the CPU and Ram in, as well as helped me with the CPU cooler, but the cable management was done by me. Felt great to actually work on a computer with new parts. Really puts into perspective how far computers have come. Here's pretty much now with the setup. I spend a lot of time with web development, so the 4 monitors really helps. My bed is lofted: Better view: And here we are today. Sorry this was just mostly Instagram, but it's the best record I have of the computer and everything is already online. The still remaining parts from the completely original build are the following: Corsair H100i i5-3570k Seagate Barracuda 2TB 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1866Mhz ASUS P8Z77-V PRO As Operating Systems do go by motherboards, I will not consider her resigned until her motherboard is dead. I still plan to at least throw in a i7-3770k of some sort. Still super pissed I missed when Micro Center was selling them New for $250 because they were getting rid of them. The i5-3570k is currently running at 4.6 Ghz. Once I got the new PSU, it seemed to do okay with 4.8, but eventually 4.7 was needed without blue screens about last Spring, and now it started to hang up a bit so I bumped it down to 4.6. Kinda hard to think that after about 40,000 hours of nearly constant running, this processor still can push that hard. For streaming/recording, the NVENC helps a lot, but it can still render a decent video from premiere in about double the length of the video, not bad. It's been an absolute beat these past 4.5 years, and I can see, especially with an i7-3770k upgrade, if I can find a decent one, another 2ish years if the parts hold out. As silly as it is, this computer is a majority of my life, and I pretty much consider it a person. No I don't give it food and cuddle it in bed, but I respect it like a great friend. Even just wriitng this I'm getting a little teary eyed. Without this computer, I don't know how I could be where I am. We'll see what the future holds. Thanks for reading. After about 3 hours of writing and having to go back twice becasue the LTT editor sucks ass with Ctrl Z, I'm glad I got here and got this out.

Hello ltt-community! My gf just got me the hyperx cloud 2 for christmas, because she thought my mic is done. (i fixed it a couple times with tape) What she didnt know was, that i have beyerdynamics headphones. Now i am looking for a good mic in the same (maybe a bit more) price range as the hyperx cloud2. I thought about getting the yeti, but im afraid it will pick up too much background noise. (my gf playing xbox/watching tv in the background) Whats your opinion? Any recommendations? maybe a non-omni-directional mic? thanks in advance! greetings tobi
-
I've been using Blue Yeti USB for the past year or so, and it always picks up background noises and quite a lot of "hisss" sound from the PC, Im using a software (Reaper) to clean it up a bit, but its not perfect and makes my voice crackle when I talk. I wanted to upgrade and Im considering a proper XLR microphone, my thoughts are AT2020, Razer Seiren Pro, or AT2035 except for a recommendation about a mic, I need to know how to connect it in the best way, any good, compact mixer I can use?

I was about to pull the trigger on a western digital blue 1 TB m.2 sata drive. Then paranoia struck when I heard about m.2 drives getting very hot and needing a heat sink and all that. And that’s something I’m not willing to deal with. Is any of this true? Or is it very circumstantial? I prefer this over a traditional sata SSD but if this means I’m getting an overheating drive I rather go traditional.

Hi guys, this is my first post on the forums and im looking for some help. im planning on a kinda extreme build in the somewhat near future and really want the Averix Raiden Blue RAM to match the rest of my system. I was originally going to get this RAM, but then i saw linus' video on the Avexir Raiden ones and really want that plasma in my build. so i was hoping to take the heat spreaders off of the RAM, tape off the parts i like, like the black and blue accents, and paint the rest matte black. i was hoping for advice as to what type/brand of paint to get and wether or not i should seal it. i am also curious as to how these dimms come apart and want to make sure i do it right.
