I'm currently looking for a good, but still fairly cheap, no more than 80-90$, mechanical gaming keyboard, with blue backlight and preferably blue switches, although anything but blacks are ok. It doesn't need to have macros or anything, and if there is no good keyboard in my budget, it can be any color backlight, and/or ten keyless, but preferably with the num pad. halp me pl0x?

i wanted to run chkdsk because i kept getting BSOD. So i was not suprised by BSOD because my laptop had cheap Hitachi HDD. So i ran chkdsk, everything was fine until it stopped at 13 precent. Any idea how to get it to 100%? I also attached a file of 13 % freezing.

Hi all I've just had this problem for the second time now. I was happily working away with just Chrome, Outlook and Spotify open on duel monitors. Then my left monitor went off and then came up with pixelated lines (red, blue and white I think, I'll get a picture next time). So I turned the monitor off and on and it was still the same, suggesting its the GPU. Then I went into Control Panel>Display and selected a single monitor set-up on my good monitor. This then lasted a few seconds before doing the same and I couldn't do anything I had to reset the computer and its been ok for 15 mins now. But this is then second time in a couple of weeks now so I'm starting to get concerned. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated... Thanks MonkyBoy

Hey Guys, Currently working with a Cooler Master Elite 130, but the case is just to small for the parts that I have (i5 4670k with GTX 780). It's getting to hot for my liking so I'm planning on buying an Obsidian 350D (Windowed version). Going to cablesleeve my cables and install my old watercooling rig (Swiftech H220) back in the case (that's gonna be fun...). Problem I have now: What mATX motherboard to choose. I want to do a blue and orange color-scheme, but it's hard to find a matching mobo (z87 or z97). Found the following boards: Asrock Z97M Pro4: Not enough PWM-connector (only 2, 1 of them is CPU), but I could work with that Gigabye GA-Z87MX-D3H: Seems to be a good pick, accept for a little bit of grey Think I should go for the Asrock, but can't find a lot of reviews about this board. Buying a TUF Gryphon Z97 and painting the armor part also crossed my mind... Do you guys have any tips for me? And will blue and orange be a good combo (I think it would, but I'm a typical guy that doesn't understand colors )

So the only high preforming LED fans I currently know of are the GELID Solutions Wing fans but are there any others? I have heard pretty bad things about fans such as the Bitfenix Spectre Pro fans so I am wondering if anyone knows of any good fans.

Hi, So my new gaming rig is about a month old now and it runs like a dream, almost. Now and then i get the blue screen that restarts the computer. There really isnt any reason for it, it just comes randomly, not under heavy load or anything. I can play Planetside 2 on max and nothing, but CSGO on medium and BAM bluescreen. It doesnt happen everyday. Earlier today i started to do several test to figure out what the issues was. I have run several RAM,GPU and CPU tests and no error or anything BUT everytime i try to run Prime 95 it goes bluescreen! every single time. When i run the torture test it does it immediately.. if i try the benchmark it goes bluescreen after a few minutes. Any idea what the problem could be? Source / Product Page: http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/g710-mechanical-gaming-keyboard (Please move this Thread if I'm in the wrong Sub-Forum, maybe it should be in the "News" one?) If you didn't know the G710+ (the one with the +) has Brown Switches with O-Rings (Don't know if the new version will have these Rings though) Found it by Luck, browsing through their Gaming Category on the search for the well-known G710+ and mistook the G710 at first glance with the G710+. I found nothing about this new version except on the Logitech site (in various languages), various filters and search by image resulted only in Logitech pages. I called the local Logitech support (from my country) but even he was surprised about that keyboard and knew nothing about this version. The Logo on top of the product page says only "Lightning fast." compared to the g710+ "Lightning fast. Whisper quiet." Whoever made the product pages for this version also just replaced every occurrence of "G710+" with "G710", "Tactile" with "Cherry MX Blue" in the first paragraph and removed the 2nd paragraph for obvious reasons: "Whisper-quiet keys Focus on game Quiet, non-clicking key [...]" Btw. I wrote this with my G710+ Keyboard which I just ordered 2 weeks ago and I think I'm now sending it back and getting the one with the blue switches. Just stumbled upon this new version on the last day now in which I can sand my G710+ back while getting my money back (cancellation right) ________________________________________________________ More Images, nothing surprising, orange just has been replaced with blue (taken from gaming.logitech.com):

Welcome to Week 49 of the LTT Build-Off! The rules and guidelines can be found here. Alright SO.. I own a Blue Yeti. I'm trying to figure out a way I can use the Yeti's built in voice monitoring when I'm in a call and at the same time listen to all my other applications (Person I'm in the call with, Games, Skype sounds, Music, Netflix, Etc.). I've tried using a virtual audio cable but it has about 50ms delay and it just messes me up and I start tripping over my words because I'm too busy listening to me say things late. If you've ever used one of these applications you'll know what I'm talking about, non-delayed voice monitoring is loads easier. I've also tried Audacity. I'm willing to purchase additional hardware to pull this off to a reasonable extent. I won't go out and buy a whole new mic set up, but I'd buy a Y-cable if it did the job, which I think it might. Just need other peoples insight. Thank you for whatever help you may give me!

Hi from the UK, this mic will be used for calls and recording commentary. thank you for the help! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Blue-Microphone-Snowball-iCE-Adjustable/dp/B006DIA77E OR http://www.amazon.co.uk/Blue-Microphones-Snowball-Omnidirectional-Microphone/dp/B000EOPQ7E

Hey, so am planning buying a z97 ATX motherboard preferably with blue accents, any recommendations ? Thanks

Hello all, I'm in need of a new stand for my Blue Spark Microphone. The shock mount that the microphone uses screws into a normal microphone stand. Just to be sure, the mic stand I'm looking for is something like I don't have any idea what manufacturer or brand to look at, nor what to look for. I'd love to be able to attach it to my desk with screws if possible, if not, a clamp would work I guess. I'm not looking to break the bank. I'd love under $50.\ Thanks all

I will be using this for teamspeak mostly but I will be doing some creative work on the side so quality is important. Also I have ath m50s which are compatible with the modmic 4.0. Opinions? Thanks.

HI, I am a student in the UK with a bit of money to spend, I am looking for the better than necessary PC with a little flair, firstly I should say the budget I have about £2000 which is quite a lot and is not set in stone I have a lot of leeway but this does include the cost of two monitors which i will refer to later , secondly why am I here I need help I am really struggling amazingly to find the components for my all blue themed build, I do know roughly what i want firstly the most important component the GPU i was looking at a GTX 1070 with a i7-6700K the next thing is the case I know I want something very much like a Prodigy M case with the window. after this I have no idea of course the prodigy M is a micro ATX case and i can't really find the correct mother board any suggestions for the rest of the components would be fantastic. for the screens I am looking at quite a weird set up firstly a ultrawide screen, secondly a 40+" HD TV I like this to be a little higher end cos I love that color depth and lots of richness rather than 4k or low latency, I do play some competitive games but nothing that demands low latency. any specific suggestions or comments would be much appreciated thank you.

Hey LTT members, how're you doing? I have a pretty simple request for you all keyboard lovers. I need a ten-keyless mechanical keyboard that fits this characteristics: Cherry MX Blue Switches. Blue back-light (Would rather have it, but if I have to live without it so be it). Detachable USB (important because I will be carrying it around). USB hub would also be nice but definitely not very important. 10-key less, just in case I didn't say that enough times. "Normal" layout, no sins committed with it ;) I was considering the "CM Storm QuickFire Rapid" because it has all but back light. The CM Storm QuickFire TK's design sucks IMO, can't live with it. Other than that, I'm a real noob when it comes to keyboards so PLEASE HELP :P My use case would be to use it as a portable mech. I hate membrane, and when I go to my friend's they only have that, quite painful :S It would also be nice so as to start my collection, as of now I have a Balck Widow Ultimate BF3 Edition which I kind of regret getting, but ohhh welll..... THANK YOU TechTipers ;) Sebastian!

I know the guns in close quarters DLC get camo (LSAT AND AUG Etc.) but i have one critical question do you need to be premium to unlock them or just do some challenges?
-
Hi everyone, I just received the keyboard mentioned in the Title in the mail, and these are my first impressions of it. Do note that I have never owned a Mechanical Keyboard before, and that this is my first one. Sorry if any pictures are low quality. Camera on phone is all I got.

Hello all, I thought I'd share my story on trying a mechanical keyboard. There's quite a hype at the moment about mechanical keyboards and I thought I'd share my opinion which does not conform to the generally held beliefs. The short of it: I find that my old Logitech Illuminated keyboard is better than the Ducky Shine 2 that I bought in early May this year. More specifically I got DK9008S2-CFIALG with Cherry MX blue switches. I stopped using the Ducky this Monday. So you can see that I really wanted to give the mechanical one a real chance; that's almost two months of trying to get used to the blue switches. My first reaction to the blue switches was that I hated them. The reason was that they felt so heavy. I literally had to change the way I type. I'm a touch typist and I just lay my palms on the keyboard's palm rest. With Ducky I couldn't do that because it was so heavy to type. I measured that it took 20g more to push the key down with the Cherry MX blue switches as compared to the Logitech. However it didn't take too long to get used to keep my palms in the air when typing and that resolved the issue. I did get sort of used to typing with the Ducky after a few weeks and at this point I came to a couple of conclusions: Follow Slick's and Linus' advice: try the different mechanical keyboards first if you can. Where I live I simply do not know anyone who has a modern mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX switches so for me it wasn't an option and because of it, I'm 150 euros in the hole. A coworker was able to try my keyboard and based on that he didn't buy one with blue switches so I guess it wasn't a total lost. And if it was then just for me :) There's a claim going around that the tactile sensation will make you a faster typist. That claim is usually accompanied by one that says the same thing about the click sound. Just like this post, you should consider that an anecdote. Until you have some scientific research data, feel free to ignore that claim. I didn't experience any increase in my typing speed. Furthermore I measured the words / minute and it is the same which it has been for years with membrane keyboards: on average 70 words / minute. I originally thought that one clear benefit of mechanical keyboards is that the keys can be removed. I liked this because then I can wash them. This is an actual benefit because with my Logitech Illuminated I actually can't put them back once I've removed them. I'm using my second Illuminated for that very reason. All in all: no regrets. I'm not completely done with the mechanical keyboards. My coworker bought a Ducky with mostly red switches and those felt a little better. So the type of switches matter at least for a touch typist.

Okay, so I have had this H100i for about 3 months. The first one I had for maybe 2. My first one needed to be RMA'd after the bugged firmware bricked it as I tried to update it to fix THIS EXACT PROBLEM. The LED's have burn't out on the 2 H100i's I have owned, I really don't want to RMA this one, as it is time consuming and too much hassle. So does anyone have a fix for it? All I have are green LED's the blue and red have gone completely. Things I have tried: Reinstalling Link Resetting profiles Unplugging it all I don't want to try firmware again, just in case... What type of cheap crap LED's did corsair put in this thing? there are many other people with burn't out H100i's out there, and this is my second, unless it's a software fix... So yeah, if anyone has a fix, would be much appreciated.

hey. in the last live stream (july 5th,2013 watching link : ). allot of pepole called to linus and slick (with razer comms, download link : http://bit.ly/16c6hso )and asked about diffrent mechanical key switches and which switch linus or slick can recommend to theme and there is only one good answer : no one can recommend you perfecly a key switch without you to actualy type on it. you cant fully describe the fill in words you have to experience it. there are mainly 2 ways you can do it. 1)go to your local retail/tech store and ask theme nicely to let you try the diffrent key switches. they dont have to let you try the keyboard but some stores are nice and they will let you try. 2)there is a website called "wasdkeyboards" they are selling keyboards and keycups, but they are allso selling something they call "sampler kit" (link :http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/products/sampler-kit-1.html) the sampler kit includes -blue,red,black,brown and clear switches -2 types of o-rings -and a 11 keycaps in difrent colors with this kit you can try allmost every combination you can get with mechnical keyboard. after you expiriences the switches you can now dicied wich mechnical keyboard to buy and dont hesitate before buying it. thnx for reading :D

Hello, Since a week ago I noticed these weird pixels formations popping up on random places across the screen. The possition is different almost every time but always appear as 2 different blocks. Scrolling down/up on a webpage the pixels move with it aswell. The colour of the pixels is not always red. I don't know what's causing this. Is it my monitor, my videocard or chrome? I'm using a LG Flatron E2360 monitor, Windforce gtx 670 OC videocard and the latest version on chrome. It may also happen in games but never noticed it probbably because of the fast pixel refresh rate in comparisson to a static webpage. If anyone what this is and what's causing it, please let me know.

So I am looking for a mechanical keyboard that doesn't look plain and just like a regular keyboard, I have looked at CM Storm keyboards but I can't find one with blue LEDs. Are there any keyboards that look like this and have blue LEDs?

*Edit* This project is for a friend who lives far away I've seen a few like the NZXT 2m sleeved led cable but the LED spacing is very large and doesnt look as good as a strip. Sadly I'm not using an Asus motherboard or any motherboard with an RGB header either. I dont care about how it's powered or how it's dimmed, it just need to be dimmed as this PC is going into a bed room. I saw one from Darkside strips but they're not linkable and theyre not very used. I'm considering using an RGB strip as a VERY LAST RESORT but I want to ponder my other options (build is a blue theme after all) Price is not an obstical. SOLVED SOLUTION: Molex to DC barrel -> Barrel SINGLE LED dimmer controller -> Barrel to 4 Pin adaptor -> Into Cablemod LED strips/ 4 pin single color strip

1. The switch, Cherry MX Brown Feels nice. Like really nice compared to my old membrane keyboard. They are louder than membrane though. That's pretty much it I can say. This is a keyboard review, not a switch review. Brown switches are extremely popular so you'll have no hard time finding a better description of it. 2. The looks Yes, it is big. Didn't fit my backpack type of big (which can fit a 15.6" laptop). But not big as a Corsair K95 with 18 extra macro keys. The orange did throw away for everyone (the only orange Logitech keyboard in existence). Plus almost every Logitech keyboard comes with white backlight (or RGB). I don't get it. Your company has loads of blue gaming mouse like G402, G502, G300s (comes in red too) but never just white. Kinda makes it off. But you can control it, 4 levels of light + 1 level = off. You can also control the light level of WASD and Arrow key. Same thing as the rest of the key. Only the main character are lit. The secondary ones does not light up unfortunately (so all the numbers from 1 to 0 are lit but the symbols below like ! @ # $ % ... does not. Same applies to other place). Also a super cool feature: the light control button also changes its level too. The wrist rest is nice. But I wish it would have looked better. The contact between the kb and the w/rest is little ugly. I wish they could have done something nicer. 3. Functionality 6 programmable G macro keys plus 3 profiles button for up to 18 different macro is super awesome (take that K95). They are also Cherry MX too. So you can mash that G key as much as you like. You can not customize any other key though. MR keys were originally there to allow user to record their own Macro without using the software (since G710 was their first gaming keyboard and Logitech Gaming Software (LGS) wasn't even release back then). Too bad the light can not be controlled (for the M keys), and they are orange too. What can you do with G keys? Almost anything. Record multiple keystrokes or single keystroke Control the mouse (including mouse click and mouse wheel, DPI change (though you need the mouse to use computer profile to work not on-board memory), hell even assign to regular mouse clicks and double clicks though some features might not be available depending on the mouse) Type something for you (so I have G5 assigned to type blue so when I press G5 it will auto type blue on the screen for me), Launch a program Control media (play, pause,...) but not volume since it has a dedicated wheel for that already (most of the feature listed requires you to have LGS installed). Also commands can be added/saved to reuse for different keys later on You also have media keys: play/pause, stop and forward and backward. Also a mute button and a game mode button (there is a dedicated light next to Caps Lock, Num Lock and Scroll Lock to indicate the state). All of that are also backlit and controlled like the rest of the key. LGS is a really awesome software. I haven't tried ARX Control for mobile yet mainly because I see no real purpose in controlling stuff via a mobile phone when you can alt-tab. You can start a key press heat map which registers which key you type most and display out as a map. Though it doesn't tell you in specific. And a key press duration map which is similar to the heat map. You can create multiple profiles to use and have a custom logo on it to differentiate too (as well as name it). Super cool. And import/export it for later use on a different computer for example. You can't control light through LGS unfortunately. For photos of me personally modding it check this thread, I also recently painted the wrist rest blue but fucked up a bit so no picture yet.
