So, I have already made a thread about this issue, however, due to new thing happening and the fact that I dandle get any responses, here is the full story. Recently, my pc has been lagging a crazy amount. Whenever I open a game, I gat insane frame drops that just make it completely unplayable. This is not a problem due to bad specs, as I have an i5 with 8gb of ram and a 970, yet it struggles with even CSGO. After a while I get a blue screen, and my pc resets just fine. Keep in mind that these bluescreen have happened both when the pc was idle and when I was playing games. I am not good with computers, especially software, so I hardly understand any of these problems, which is why I ask for help. I keep trying to get responses but they never come, but I'll keep trying. I ran software to find the problem and these were the two types of blue screens that I had gotten: This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x1C3B20) Bugcheck code: 0x154 (0xFFFFA60736A04000, 0xFFFFC009F86EC000, 0x2, 0x0) Error: UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: NT Kernel & System Bug check description: This indicates that the store component caught an unexpected exception. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time. This was probably caused by the following module: fltmgr.sys (FLTMGR+0x3F46) Bugcheck code: 0x1A (0x3F, 0xC8B64, 0xC8B64, 0x7707D16D) Error: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\fltmgr.sys product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: Microsoft Filesystem Filter Manager Bug check description: This indicates that a severe memory management error occurred. This might be a case of memory corruption. This may be because of a hardware issue such as faulty RAM, overheating (thermal issue) or because of a buggy driver. This problem might also be caused because of overheating (thermal issue). The crash took place in a file system driver. Since there is no other responsible driver detected, this could be pointing to a malfunctioning drive or corrupted disk. It's suggested that you run CHKDSK.

The PC I built a few months ago (Part List) blue screened about half an hour ago. After it restarted itself it didn’t boot right away and than started repairing. After looping through the restart-repair process a few times it that opened to a Windows screen that said something like “there was a problem”. After trying to restart through the UI a couple of times I decided to try resetting and reinstalling Windows that didn't work either (see error attached). Do you have any advice on what to do of that doesn’t work?

Before I explain my problem, here is my current pc setup: Ryzen 7 3700x 3080 FE WD_Black nvme 1 tb Ripjaw V 3600 ddr4 Asus tuf gaming 750 GT evga psu (AIO h100i not that it matters but my cpu IS cool in case anyone's wondering.) Now I have had a couple of pc i built and when they would blue screen after a couple of years I would not be too bummed an could usually just replace the part I though was faulty and it usually worked. Yesterday I started building the pc I put in the beginning and everything was going well. I did the normal usb install to the nvme and had functioning windows. I had it working for 30 minutes and then I decided to install some drivers. I did not install any mobo drivers (idk if this has anything to do with what happened but I'm just trying to factor out as much as possible.) , But I did go ahead and download GeForce experience. I downloaded it and logged in and clicked download on newest driver from getforce experience. Here is where the problem occured: so it began downloading but when it was almost done I thought it cancelled the download or something like that so I clicked download again. This time it finished completely and that's when I selected "Express install" it started installing and then I got BSOD. Ever since then I cannot even boot into windows. I have tried to boot everyway possible with the graphics card no nvme, without gpu I cant even see. I have tried with another gpu and nvme. Whenever I try to start with nvme it does the startup repair but BSOD into error 0xc000021a or critical process dies. I am really running out of ideas and am losing hope. My friend has made the same system and has had no problems so far so I don't think it is compatibility issues. Thanks for your help in advance.

I'm trying to do a fresh Windows 10 install on a brand new system, but no matter what I try, when I boot through USB I get a blue screen. I can confirm that the USBs I've tried have worked on other systems. What I've tried: - Using Rufus to create the bootable drive. Tried both GPT and MBR. - Windows 11 ISO instead of Windows 10 - Use the Windows media creation tool to create the bootable drive - Turned off secure boot, turned off fast boot, turned on CSM when using MBR - Updating BIOS - Create a WinPE USB drive which worked, but my ethernet connection didn't work to do a network install. Running setup.exe from another USB drive in WinPE didn't do anything. Specs: Asus Prime Z690-A (BIOS version 2103 09/30/2022) 5600mhz DDR5 RAM i9 12900k RTX 2080 750 watt PSU I would really appreciate some help, I can't think of anything else that it could other than a faulty mobo.

Hey just wanna start this off by saying thank you to whoever is reading this. I recently built a new computer and have been randomly, about once a day, been getting a blue screen error with a stop code called DRIVER_VERIFIER_DMA_VIOLATION. Alongside this, my audio driver for my Corsair Void Pro RGB randomly dies and the only way to fix it is to restart my computer and sometimes, when my audio driver dies my computer blue screens at the same time. When I do switch my audio output device to my monitor from my headset, audio still does play so I'm sure it has something to do with the headset driver itself. I have tried multiple troubleshooting tips such as reinstalling my audio drivers, updating all my USB drivers, and even swapped to windows 11 thinking it might be a possible fix. Any insight would be appreciated.

Hi, I can't figure out why my PC turns off randomly. It gives the error code 'WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR'. PC boots up fine, but after what seems a random time each time turns off and gives me a blue screen. Also the PC doesn't boot when it's off the first try, I need to hit the power button, then the reset button and then it boots. Also when it's in between the power button and reset button press a red VGA light lights up on my MB. I looked up that code and learnt that it is a hardware error. Giving the VGA light was on I checked the GPU first. Reseated GPU, tried different PCIE slots, PC boots fine (with weird start up sequence) but turns off randomly. checked my power supply, GPU, RAM and motherboard power connectors, everything seems fine. I found out Steam was causing 'an' issue when it booted up (wich resulted in the blue screen), so I reinstalled it and now Steam works fine. The errors are less frequent. Only the blue screen problem perseveres and turns off my PC at random times. Really annoying to lose files and progress on work when your computer shuts off randomly. (I had to write this twice because it turned off) I have no clue what could be causing this, all help is appreciated. Greets, Pj

I recently did a computer upgrade where I got a new motherboard, case, psu, and gpu. The problem I'm having is that after the upgrade my computer randomly crashes when I'm running games and leaves a 'nuked' image on my second monitor. After freezing like that for a few seconds it just restarts. There's no Error message I can find. Applications are also randomly quitting and restarting. I've also been getting random directx 11 errors, although that may be unrelated. Is there any way to fix this? My Specs: MSI B550 Tomahawk AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 32.0 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3200MHz Gigabyte Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti Corsair RM850x (850w) 1 Samsung m.2 PCIe SSD 2 Samsung SSDs 1 HDD I also adjusted my fans to be silent instead of performant, although that should just cause lower performance. EDIT: I fixed it thanks to the marked solution. Additionally I set my RAM XMP profile to 1 and that solved a few issues as well. EDIT 2: Well it didn't fix it, it just made it happen less frequently. I'm gonna run DDU again and hope for the best lol.

I've been encountering an issue lately where my computer keeps crashing/freezing inconsistently, but frequently. The crash happens in several different ways. Sometimes the whole thing just freezes and stops responding, resulting in me needing to force shutdown the system. Sometimes it will just completely restart on its own with no warning. Other times it will crash to the blue screen with the sad face saying that windows encountered an error and will restart. Sometimes it doesn't crash for hours, sometimes it will crash 7 times back to back. In every case, I have the "disk repair" loop where the system will automatically attempt to repair my drive, restart, then repeat. I have let this repair go overnight and it still continues. Sometimes the comp will crash during this repair. There are also times when it won't even post properly. When I turn my computer on for the first time, or on restart, the fans will spin up to 100% for a second, then wind back down and the computer will boot. Sometimes though, the fans won't and will constantly run at 100% and the comp will not post, resulting in me having to force shut down again. I have tried the chkdsk route, I have tried almost everything I can look up. I updated the firmware on my SSD (WD Blue SN550 NVMe SSD) using the dashboard which says I still have "96%" life remaining. Short of wiping the drive and reinstalling windows (which I'm not even sure would help) or buying a new SSD entirely, I'm not sure what to try next. OS: Windows 10 x64 2 year old system BIOS: American Megatrandes Inc. A.70 1/9/2020 (I haven't updated my BIOS yet given that I was told that it could brick my mobo but if it will help I can give it a try) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super MOBO: MPG X570 Gaming Plus (MS-7C37) Storage: WD Blue SN550 NVMe SSD PSU: EVGA 750W Bronze I don't know if the minidump helps here but I attached it anyway. If there is any other information that I can find that might help please let me know. Minidump.rar

Hi I'll try to keep it short aand with as much information as possible. If you need mire info let me know. Windows 10 prox64 Pc crashes in windows logo screen. I have tried to reset/roll back but I cant beause I forgot my password because I have been using a pin instead. I've been trying to fix it with bootable usb but anything I try to do is stoped by my NVMe m.2 970 EVO plus 1tb been "read only". I've tried to remove it through a USB boot windows installer and opening cmd but cand do it I've tried using Attribute Changer 10.0 but doesn't work either. I've read that its because of the "hiberfile" created after a shutdown. The thing is that to remove it I need to fully shut down the PC wich I can't because I dont have acces to it. Is there any way I can remove the "read only" from my Nvme without having to format and reinstall windows?

For the last couple weeks my pc has been acting up. I thought maybe it was the cpu since it has been running a little warm (70-80c on average while gaming) so I am waiting on arctic to send me my replacement part for my AIO..some have said that wont help temps too much.. I have done all sorts of tests, updated bios, gpu drivers, ram tests, storage clean up...nothing is working I will be sitting on twitch and it will just freeze out of no where, and it is very inconsistent I cant seem to predict when it will happen..I will include a picture of what my desktop looked like today when it reset, thinking maybe it was a GPU issue, but I just bought the gpu in may of 2022. I have no overclocks, the voltage seems appropriate for the speed the cpu is at aswell.. I am almost considering resetting my pc since I feel I have no other option at this point My pc build is in my profile TIA

i913900k problem with i913900k and dual gpu
andreas_fpv posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hi, I'm currently lost troubleshooting my i913900k and dual 4090 with 128 GB ram. so with an i713900kf it works perfectly. everything works with no problems. but as soon as I put the i9 in it starts to not properly use gpu2. as soon as I request some information from it, or plug a display into it, it starts to flicker black and crash or switch to the igpu (using gpu1 as a passthrough). so if that happens I lose both the GPUs. I tried everything I can think of and my colleagues can think of. bios version-latest driver-latest only boot with 32 Gb ram. only boot with gpu2 (doesn't work) only boot with gpu1 (works) and it seems like the CPU might be dead, but uhm that would suck. please let me know if you need any additional info to help me troubleshoot some! thank you in advance! parts: mb: evga z690 ram: ddr5 4800mhz 32gb sticks (total 128gb) cpu: i913900k (i have an i713900kf for troubleshooting) gpu: 4090 nvidia reference storage: m.2 ssd (in bus 3)- 4 replies

Hello to everyone, so to explain my issue the best way i can: Since recently my pc has been freezing every 16 min or so, with a blue screen or just an overall freeze. This happens wheter i am doing some heavy gaming or not. From my research i found out that maybe the memory controller of my cpu doesn't fully support my ram, and that may be the cause. Although i have been having this setup for 2 years and added the extra 2 sticks of ram only 1 year ago. I also get plenty of visual artifacts like the one in the picture posted below. The system crashes wheter i have XMP enabled or not, even if i use the minimum frequency allowed. I will post my configuration: windows 10 64 bit CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x Gpu: Nvidia RTX 2070 Super Ram: G.Skill Trident Z F4-3600C16D-16GTZNC 3600 MHz, (it's 4 sticks of Ram, 8 GB per stick) Mobo: MSI Unify X570 PSU : Corsair HX750i

Hey everyone! I bought this PC back in 2013 and decided to give it a RAM boost before I can't buy the stuff anymore... I know... it's old... but it still serves a great purpose for gaming and will ultimately be my personal Minecraft server for family members. Specs: Intel Core i7 4930K Ivy Bridge-E @ stock 3.4 GHz Asus X79-DELUXE PCI-Express 3.0 RAM (new) - DDR3 4x G.Skill F3-1600C9D-16GXM (with 4 more on the way) - 32GB total in QUAD Channel (yes, really QUAD, not Dual x2) Radeon RX 580 8GB Corsair Air 540 case with plenty of air cooling Cooler Master Hyper 212 (or something similar) - plenty of cooling for stock! All drivers and BIOS are up-to-date. So I bought this thing with the intention to overclock but never have... hence the extra cooling case. This thing had F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL G.Skill RAM (4x 4GB 16GB total in QUAD Channel) and ran flawlessly for years. I recently started hosting Minecraft for my children and nieces/nephews (and me too!) just to have family time. It's been great... These minecraft servers eat RAM so I decided to upgrade the ram from 16 to 48GB. I was using the F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL G.Skill RAM (4x 4GB 16GB total in QUAD Channel) in addition to 2 sets of F3-1600C9D-16GXM for a total of 48GB of RAM. Yes, I know mixing the rams was a gamble, but they had identical timings and speeds (DDR3-1600 @ 9-9-9-24 @ 1.50V). I figured it would work great. Loaded the 4 new RAM (total of 8 slots all filled). Yes, I followed the motherboards guidance for the RAM slots to use for quad channel. Booted the BIOS - turned on XMP, and booted windows fine. Ran Prime95 Blend with no issues. Started to play games - Dirt Rally 2.0 - crashed... The Forest - crashed. So I took all the RAM out, and then installed JUST the new F3-1600C9D-16GXM in the proper Quad Channel slots in XMP (now only 4x the new ram installed in quad)... Again crashes during games... When I turned off XMP, the RAM runs at 1333 MHz and it ran with no issues and the games run fine with no issues. What is going on here? I looked up videos on how to tweak RAM, but honestly this Asus X79 has so many overclocking settings it is rather deep. I always wanted to manually dial things and tweak things but never dove into it. I know it's an art and it takes patience, but honestly this thing runs like a beast and I never needed to do anything other than upgrade the video card to support larger VRAM requirements. I am very advanced with computers, although I just never dove into the deep BIOS settings to tweak everything. With the advent of Turbo modes and multipliers for the CPU/RAM etc, I just figured I'd leave that for a rainy day... Perhaps it's that day. Can anyone explain why this is happening and what I gotta do to get these RAM chips to at least run at their rated XMP profile speeds? I tried manually increasing the DRAM voltage to 1.55 just to see if that would help, but I still got crashes. I attached some screenshots of CPU-Z and MaxxMem. I ran benchmarks at 1333 and 1600 MHz.

For the past few weeks, I've been experiencing BSODs, system freezes and application crashes frequently, most commonly while playing games and watching videos on Youtube/Floatplane. I've attempted a variety of the common troubleshooting methods including using DDU to wipe video drivers and running Memtest86 for 4 passes which resulted in a pass. Running Heaven and Cinebench R23 to test the GPU and CPU respectively have shown nothing out of the ordinary to me. I tried to analyze the .dmp files from the bug checks myself, but every step I've taken has led me nowhere. At this point I'm lost on what I could do other than trying a clean Windows install, which I would like to avoid if possible. Some additional information: One of the BSODs I experienced happened while I was in safe mode so I could run DDU. After having been in Windows for few minutes, my whole system locked up for about a minute before the blue screen appeared with a stop code of DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION While playing a game, I've noticed that Windows Error Reporting in Event Viewer will report an event name of RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64 roughly a few minutes or so before I experience a crash/BSOD Before one BSOD I had while playing MWII, AUDIODG.EXE crashed with the faulting module name being THXV2RenderAPO_0528.dll, which resulted in me losing all audio Some application crashes have occurred with two different apps at once. For example, at the same time that MWII crashed, a tab that I had open on Firefox crashed Link to my current build's specs: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/EastCoastShepard/saved/xKtJwP Link to a .ZIP file containing minidump files, a dxdiag log and various screenshots from Event Viewer which could be useful: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JSkX95GxXfAHr51qu0TjXdA94sgXXACL/view?usp=sharing

Hi everyone, Today I received 2 new 8gb sticks of Crucial Ballistic Sport DDR3 - 1600 ram off of eBay to add to my already existing sticks of the same type. I put the new sticks in and assumed everything would be fine... it wasn't. My computer went into a reset loop and after manually resetting gave me an "overclocking failed" error from the motherboard (I am not attempting nor have I ever overclocked this PC), and then a "boot drive inaccessible" blue screen whenever I bypass that and boot from the drive I always boot from. I've reset my BIOS back to default multiple times, and switched out both pairs of ram and now my original sticks aren't even allowing my computer to boot. Needless to say, I'm very frustrated as none of the other solutions I've found online have helped and I'm about to part this puppy out and build a new one as this PC is going on about 6 years old (that's a conversation for another time). Anyways, if any one could offer me some solutions as to what I need to do, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks! i7-4790k ASUS z97 - a Crucial Ballistic Sport ddr3-1600 ASUS Strix gtx 1080

My mother board is had a AM4 slot (GIGABYTE GA-AB350) I had a AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU that worked fine, and decided to get an upgrade to a AMD Ryzen 7 3700x. My computer turns on, power goes through it, but no display on my monitor. There IS a red light on (Like a small LED) and usually the side of the motherboard would be lit red, i guess indicating that the CPU is working. Don't know how to fix this. :(

Just recently i went from a Ryzen 5 1600 to a Ryzen 7 3700x. I updated my motherboard's (GIGABYTE GA-AB350-Gaming 3) BIOS to F50a. Now, with the Ryzen 7 in my pc, every boot up sends me to a windows blue screen with different error codes such as; UNEXPECTED KERNAL MODE TRAP KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL (what failed: NETIO.SYS) I'm at a loss on what to do, how can i fix this?

Hello. So I recently built a new gaming PC. It's been great, other than this problem, which has been happening since I installed Windows. On reboot, my computer will bluescreen, saying "Recovery." Image below. Sometimes it says that 'winload.efi' can't be accessed, which is probably the problem. I found a way to be able to boot into Windows to get past this, by pressing Esc and going into the UEFI. Then I immediately exit and reset, which then resets the PC and boots into Windows. I've tried 'sfc /scannow', 'chkdsk C : /r', among other things. I've also tried to boot from a USB stick and go into Repair, and go into CMD and run bootrec /fixmbr, which is successful bootrec /rebuildbcd, which it says is successful but it doesn't find any Windows installations and finally, bootrec /fixboot, which comes to 'Access is denied.' I've seen that you could get bootrec /fixboot to work by messing with diskpart and changing the drive letter. Help is appreciated.

Hello All, I've come across an issue with my new build. Upon boot, I'm greeted with a windows installation error on the splash screen. I've tried reimaging the system several times but it keeps blue screening when the system restarts to complete the installation. I've gone as far as exchanging just about every part from the retailer, in the case that one of the parts I bought was bad. I also tried every other 1TB NVMe PCIe Gen 3 SSD they sold and I STILL HAD THE SAME ISSUE. Tried a more powerful PSU my buddy had, same issue. The only way I was able to get it to work is if I use this jank looking 512GB Union Memory brand SSD I had in an old Lenovo laptop, but I'd really like to use a 1TB NVMe. What could be the issue here?
