Hello, I am fairly new to the whole pc building and upgrading so I decided to start off with purchasing a new power supply and GPU which is something many people say to do first. The GPU i bought is a GTX 750 Ti that comes with a 6 pin connector. I bought a EVGA 600 Watt power supply i believe silver 80 plus. When I installed my new GPU all I get is the Acer screen followed by 3 beeps that are spaced out by a few seconds then either a black screen or a black screen with a blinking dash on the top right corner. Ive made sure everything is connected properly several times, and when i switch back to my old GPU it works perfectly fine. I have removed the battery on the mother board as recommended, i have used different 6 pin connectors and made sure everything is connected right. One time it did 2 quick beeps then it did the 3 beeps that are spaced out after the 2 beeps. My specs are as follows: Acer Predator G3620 Processor: i7 3770 Motherboard: ACER IPIMB AR REV 1.02 A RAM: 12 Gb DDR3 Memory: 2TB Hddr DirectX 12 (DirectX 11 or higher needed for 750Ti) EVGA 600 W Power supply Any and all help would be appreciated, i have a free day so i can reply in a moments notice with pictures and other info if needed.

Hi everyone I have a big problem with my PC. Few days ago I played one game, and after some time I saw some atrefacts on the screen (changing colors, white stripes like those on old VHS tapes), so I checked my GPU and I found out it was fire hot at 92°C (around 195°F I guess), so I restarted my PC and everything seemed to be just fine. But after 3 days when playing an old game, not really power consuming, blackscreen showed up. After restart, uefi loaded normally, windows 10 loading screen popped up, the loading circle ended and, blackscreen again. I somehow managed to install windows 10 from the beginning, thankfully I was able to copy all my files to other HDD, but when I changed screen resolution from around 1024x768(recomended) to 1920x1080, after one minute or so, blackscreen showed up again, as well as blackscreens after starting windows. I took my GPU to the store where I bought it, because I have 3 moths of warranty left, so they will chceck if the GPU broke down or not. So what do you think? What could have happened? My guess is GPU, but I'm worried that is not the case GPU: msi R9 390 Motherboard: msi 970 gaming PSU: XFX 750 pro CPU: AMD FX-8350

Hey Folks! My partner suggesting posting about my issue here, so.. There we go. For some reason my PC started being a d.ck in the middle of an Overwatch Match yesterday evening. It's still new'ish (built two months ago), has been used the same way every since then every day and never had a single issue - no changes. What happened was that it froze mid-game (no sound, nothing), so I restarted it. It booted fine, I logged in, opened Firefox (wanted to resume my video), freeze. Restart, log in, desktop - freeze, restart, booting - freeze. We tried booting windows from a USB key, changed several settings in the BIOS one by one, checked each RAM stick separately, tested the SSD on my partner's PC, switched the GPU for another one, replaced thermal paste, tried my partner's power supply,.. Nuffin. The furthest we got was by booting with Ubuntu instead - that one at least let us get back to opening Firefox a few times - and then of course freeze again. Yay. The specs are.. Zenith Extreme for the MB AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1900X 2 Corsair x8GB 3200Mhz DDR4 GTX 1060 Corsair RM650x Running on Windows 10 Professional 64bit BIOS Version 1003x64 I hope that's everything you might need!

I wanted to go into BIOS earlier today when I realized that my ram is not running at 3200mhz (thought that xmp was disabled). After trying to boot all I get is a black screen. Here is my PC's specs: Ryzen 5 2600 Gigabyte B450m DS3H RX 5500 XT T-force 3200Mhz 2x8gb I've tried clearing the CMOS, disabling fast boot and restating into UEFI, booting without bootdrives, still black screen. Really want that 3200mhz memory speed.

I bought a new kit of ram (CMK32GX4M2B3200C16). Installed it. Kept getting somewhat random bsod errors. So i looked up on forums and tried everything I could. Still didnt work. So I tried the last option which was bios downgrading. When I flashed it, it said it was successful and needed to restart, I hit enter, it restarted and then no output. System Specs: Windows 10(64bit), MOBO: Asrock B450-pro4-F, CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x, GPU: RTX2080, Storage: M.2 Intel 660p, PSU: Apevia 800watt If I could just get it posting again ill just use my old ram. Thanks for the Help.

So today I finally got to use my hp pagewide pro mfp 477dw. It had been sitting under my staircase for 1year. Brand new in the box. I set it up, connected it to my wifi. Scanned some photos, went and grabbed something to eat. When i came back - the printer did not respond. It has an LCD display, and it was black. So i tried disconnecting the powercord. Waited 1minute and plugged it back up. Still same result. Tried disconnecting - plug it in and holding the power on button for 1minute. Still same result. I know this is a long shot. But if any of you had this issue with a HP printer and resolved it, please let me know!

When i'm starting the boot process all i get is a blackscreen. The PC doesn't turn itself of or starts rev up the fans at any time. Its like on but no digital output. I already red that Express Gate can help at this particular type of problems. No useable results on google. Did anybody has the same issue? I really dont want to buy a new mainboard, cpu and ram since i'm very happy with this setup. Already resettet the CMOS with the jumper. I also removed the Battery before that. Clean and "fresh" BIOS update didnt help either. Hope somebody can help me!!

Hello all, first post here, I bought a 5700 XT to replace my 1060. It had a lot of problems with it originally, which I largely put down to poor drivers, and so I switched back in my 1060. As of 3 days ago I switched back in the 5700 XT hearing the drivers had improved quite a bit, and they have. All but one issue has gone; occasionally when gaming my computer will black-screen making a high pitch audible whine/burr on several occasions, disabling all input to the computer and requiring a manual reset. Any help in solving this would much be appreciated. It should be noted I have not as of yet changed the default fan curve for my GPU. Any help in how to do this would be appreciated. (Edit: I have now made a custom fan curve). Specs: System: Windows 10 Pro x64 Windows is up to date Motherboard: Gigabyte H370 Aorus Gaming 3 Wifi Bios: F13 (F14 is the latest) CPU: Intel i7-8700 GPU: Gigabyte 5700 XT 8GB OC Driver: 20.4.2 (The latest)

For nearly the past week my computer has had a mixture of freezing, and more recently black screening. My specs: Ryzen 3 1200 8GB DDR4 Ballistix 2666 (tried using D.O.C.P profiles and not) (bought used) Asus prime b450m-a Gigabyte G1 RX480 (bought used) Samsung SSD 840 EVO 120GB EVGA 650W B3 I built the system at Christmas and it has been perfectly stable. I bought my RX480 used off eBay, and it looks like the BIOS wasn't signed so I used atikmdag-patcher-bios to sign the driver and it has been working fine. More recently the GPU always had it's fans spinning, which I thought was odd but maybe just a build up of dust, so I carried on and then the computer started freezing and I'd have to power cycle it. Now the computer has started black screening, believe the computer stops working when this happens, and the GPU starts spinning, then stops and this repeats. I took the GPU out and cleaned it (which took about an hour), and then put it back in; this then worked flawlessly for a day, with no freezing or black screening. It seems like when I leave the computer for a while with the PSU switch turned off, it seems to last longer after without freezing or black screening. I have tried memtest and both the ram sticks passed with no errors. Has anyone got any ideas? GPU Bios issue (have tried to reflash with no success)? Motherboard bios issue? Thanks for any help

So, whenever I start a game (most recent ones like CoD: Warzone/Apex Legends) my PC blackscreens and my fans start spinning at 100% speed. I tried changing my PSU. It didn't work, I tried dusting the whole PC, still does the same thing. It's my first build and I'm pretty scared to do anything without professional or someone's informed advice. I don't want to break anything. My build has a Ryzen 5 3600X CPU with a RTX 2060 Super GPU, 32GB DDR4 RAM, a Samsung 970EVOPlus 500GB SSD, 2TB Seagate BARACUDA HDD and a Corsair RM750X PSU. Thank you in advance, I'm looking forward for advices.

Hi everybody! I've got a bit of a problem that my googling or tech skills can’t solve. First, some background (skip to “The problem/The crash” if you want the kind of "TL;DR" version). So about two weeks ago everything worked perfectly. I could play any game I installed and every game that I already had installed. Then GTA V was free on Epic Games, and I downloaded that. (At first, I thought it was a GTA problem, but read on, It’ll get juicier) When I first started it everything worked in story mode. Then I tried Online mode. Didn’t work. Got stuck on the loading screen. I solved this problem by uninstalling my antivirus and only running on Windows Defender. But it then started to crash the same way story mode did. After that, I tried story mode again, which didn’t work. It crashed as soon I got into the “playable part” of the game. The loading screen and intro worked fine, but as soon I got the controls it crashed. The problem/The crash The game didn’t crash the usual way when you get an error and the game closes. The crash is as follows: The sound glitches out for a second but then continues playing, the screen goes black and it starts to search for a source. The keyboard is responsive (caps, num lock lights are working) and the computer is on. After a couple of seconds, the sound stops, and a windows warning sound is heard. After that, silence, and the screen continue searching for a source. Now, I thought this only was in GTA V. BUT, I then tried firing up “The Sims 4”, same problem. CS:GO? Same problem. Every game I tested I had the same problem. The only game that works is Apex Legends. Photoshop works fine and all benchmarks say that my computer is fine and is in good shape. You can see in the film I posted exactly how the problem looks. This is the same on every game, not just GTA V. The film: 2020-06-05 GTACRASH.mp4 What I have tested: First I tried to reinstall games, but it didn't work. Check the integrity of game files, no change. Then I tried disabling unnecessary programs in task manager in case anything was intervening with the games. No results. I tried performing a clean boot and only have the appropriate processes for the games to play. Same problem. I run the “SFC /SCANNOW” command over 10 times, no change. I can't find anything in the event viewer, no critical faults. I once found an entry that said "Windows exited unexpectedly" but no more info than that. I tried to upgrade to Windows 1909, no change. Reverted to 1903, no change. I swapped my RAMs to new ones (same size and everything), no change. I upgraded my CPU to i7 (had i5 earlier), no change. I unplugged everything on my motherboard and then plugged it back again, no change. I started CS:GO without my computer chassis to see if the GPU fan was working and if It was an overheating problem, but the fans are rotating just fine. I did a clean install (full format on all drives) of Windows 10 and got version 2004, but the problem is still there. I have also tried different monitors to see if that was the problem but the problem persists. My Specs (as of today 2020-06-07): Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit - ver 2004 CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K @ 3.50GHz GPU: 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti (EVGA) PSU: EVGA SuperNova NEX650G1 650W RAM: 16,0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz (10-10-10-27) Motherboard: MSI Z97-S02 (MS-7821) (SOCKET 0) Storage: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB (SATA (SSD)) and 1TB Western Digital WDC WD10EZEX-08WN4A0 (SATA ) Monitor: Samsung CF791 34" Curved Monitor (3440x1440@60Hz)

I built this computer about 2-3 months ago now, and originally these were my specs mobo: asus b450m pro gaming cpu: Amd ryzen 5 2600 gpu: Gigabyte 6gb gaming oc 5600 xt ram: G.Skill Ripjaws V series 16gb 2x8 ddr4 3600 psu: thermaltake smart 700 storage: kingston 225gb ssd the issue at hand is my computer randomly black screens and restarts completely on its own during use, the computer will freeze up in whatever im doing, the audio will tweak out a ton and boom black screen and restart. side note: the rgb settings that I have saved usually unset when it boots back up, I have everything set to purple but when this happens, its almost as if the mobo forgets the settings cause it goes straight back to rainbow default until I open my rgb software Since then I've gone through various replacements to try and fix the issue and it still keeps happening I replaced the cpu first of all with a ryzen 5 3600 cause I thought maybe it was bottle necking, didn't fix the issue I then added another ssd this time being a 1tb nvme m.2 because all I had was the 225 gb ssd which I thought might have been the issue, but wasn't I then replaced the ram with corsair vengeance rgb pro ddr4 3600mhz because it was not on the list of compatibility with my mobo, still didn't fix the issue and then I finally replaced the stock amd cpu fan with nzxt's kraken z63 aio which did indeed bring down the temps of the cpu which were sky high for some reason, reaching 90 at max and idling at around 70, which I was able to temporarily fix by running my computer on power saver mode until the new cooler came in and it. is. still. happening. I've narrowed it down to either the psu or the mobo, I'm thinking my best bet is replacing the mobo seeing as it only supports 1st and 2nd gen ryzen from what I can tell on the website seen here But I've updated the bios on this mobo which im not sure if that might have changed anything, allowing it to be compatible with 3rd gen or not but its worth mentioning Im at a loss for ideas here, and I'd rather not go out on a limb here and replace something else that might not need replacement so I was hoping you guys could lead me in the right direction, thank you! current specs mobo: asus b450m pro gaming cpu: Amd ryzen 5 3600 cpu cooler: Nzxt Kraken z63 gpu: Gigabyte 6gb gaming oc 5600 xt ram: Corsair Vengeance Rgb pro 2x8 ddr4 3600mhz psu: thermaltake smart 700 storage: Crucial P1 1tb nvme m.2 & kingston 225gb ssd

*NOTE: I had already posted this on the Tom’s Hardware forum and have received no responses in that week, so I am reposting it as is here.* Hello. Yesterday, my laptop (Lenovo YOGA 920) went into sleep mode and when I went to wake it, it never got past the boot logo. It will display the Lenovo boot screen with the spinning dots, and then it will flash and fade to black like it’s trying to turn on but can’t. I know the laptop is still on because the keyboard is still lit. I’m able to get into Recovery Mode every other time it boots. I am able to run it in Safe Mode (although it feels I can only really open my file explorer). I have tried doing a system restore (which there was nothing to go back to), uninstalling updates, and even reinstalling Windows, but I am still facing the same problem. Anything that I have tried that is not Safe Mode brings me back to the flash and then black screen. If anyone can help me diagnose and fix this problem, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance. UPDATE: I have done a clean install of Windows this time and the problem still remains. However, after booting up and going black, Cortana begins to speak as she goes through the normal first-time set up. Also, now when I try to go into Safe Mode, I am met with multiple errors that all say OOBEREGION, OOBEKEYBOARD, and anything else that is preceded with OOBE. https://youtu.be/2YR8tz__Qoc

Hello! I'm wondering if anyone of you has ever experienced a problem like this. Well, a couple of months ago I updated my VBIOS to fix a problem with my Netflix app that was constantly giving me BSODs. After that VBIOS update there were strange things happening: for example, my Microsoft Office was completely gone from my computer for some unknown reason. Moreover, when I was playing videogames (RDRII mostly) it was all laggy and buggy etc. So I reinstalled my Windows 10. After the reinstallation, everything was fine. But I couldn't help noticing that my computer screen would simply go black from time to time. For example, I'm playing something (literally anything) and it goes black for a second and then it's all fine again. Other times it might go black while simply browsing (YouTube, social networks etc.) It happens pretty rarely, I'd say once every two or three weeks. But even though the problem is not critical, it's still unsettling, knowing that something is clearly wrong. Would any of you care to help me out? I don't have a clue of what's going on. My graphics card is RTX 2070 Windforce X3 from Gigabyte. The current BIOS version is 90.06.18.80.F5 and the driver version is 451.48

Hello all, So I've first posted this on Reddit, but nobody even touched the thread there and I am very hopeful that I will get at least something here. I will copy the entire thing here as I beleive it was concise enough, and then add some notes: Now - I've read this forum guidelines and I have yet to update my BIOS - But I don't know if this is a needed step? I know that looking at task manager does not really help - But that's all I've got. And the pesky "GPU 0 - 3D" still is there even when therea re no issues. So I am stumped. I've recently started to think that this might be related to PSU being too weak? Here is why: I've recently contacted nVidia support which have asked me aboput it. He also asked me to disable HW acceleration in both Chrome and Discord - This have solved the issue when I am watching stuff on Youtube, however when streaming me watching stuff in the browser in Discord it is still a problem. It have happened twice already when I needed to reboot my system as the GPU decided to freeze everything and show me no signal again. Discord was working in the background tho and I could still use voice - However sometimes even that stops working. And the very last oveservation - Today I've decided to try and play "Star Citizen" without buying a starter pack. I've downloaded the client and when runnign it - All screens went black and after a short time the game crashed. It then kept on crashing to desktop as soon as I start it until I've rebooted my PC (Might be SC is just shit like that and nothing to do with GPU, but still leaves me paranoid) I am yet to install an older GPU driver to see if it's more stable but it takes so much time and I would really hope to do these things under some sort of guideance from somebody that understands where to go with things rather than me just shooting in the dark Much appreciate it for anybody who can shed some light on this DxDiag.txt

Looking for some expert guidance from all you clowns on the internet... I am trying to upgrade my GPU from an Asus Radeon R9 270X to an Asus Geforce RTX 2060, but when I remove the old card and replace it with the new card, I get no signal to my monitor. I'm connected to my monitor via HDMI in both instances. The new card seems to have power, as the LEDs are lit up and the fans spin, and my computer POSTs, boots up Windows fine (I have an small LED screen on my keyboard with an RSS news feed that updates via the Logitech app in Windows), but no signal. I've tried running the new card in both PCI slots, running over mobo graphics, and pre-installing the new drivers, and nothing seems to work except for the old card, even with the old AMD drivers cleanly deleted. I have yet to attempt booting up with both cards inserted as I don't have enough PCIe cables for my PSU (which is the only other troubleshoot I've seen scouring the various forums). Asus tech support was unhelpful--they just recommended I RMA the card. I tried all the steps in their Troubleshooting guide for black screen issues, but it was not resolved. I just ordered a DVI cable and a DisplayPort cable to see if might resolve the issue. Have also tried multiple HDMI cables to see if that was the issue. It wasn't. The new card seems fine--no signs of any damage in shipping. I did see a reviewer on Newegg state that he/she received the same card DOA. But, mine lights up! CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700x Motherboard: Asus TUF Gaming x570-plus RAM: GSkill Ripjaws DDR4 3200 x 32Gb PSU: Rosewill 550W (unsure of the exact model) GPU Drivers: AMD Radeon drivers, updated, then fully removed via AMD cleanup tool, then DDU. Attempted to pre-install Nvidia drivers from disk in safe mode/no networking before installing new card Sheesh, man... I've been building computers since the late 90s. I never remember it being so hard! Are parts becoming more complex? ...am I just getting dumber?!

Hi. When I open the launcher for World Of Tanks and press play, the game loading screen pops up, as usual. When the loading bar has reached about 2/3 full, the screen goes black. Not just black as in black pixels, it seemingly just dies. After a little while the "no signal" message pops up. After the black screen and "no signal" I have to re-start the pc to get everything working again. This issue seems to have something to do with the game going into fullscreen mode. One time the game actually started without any problems (no idea why or how), and I discovered that I had to play in borderless window because if I switched to fullscreen, the screen died again. After this I managed to get the game to run in borderless window, and I played without any issues for about a month. With the new game update that was released today, the issue came back. I have posted about this many times on many different sites and forums, and I have contacted the games customer service. Noone has been able to figure it out yet. I'm pretty desperate. Please help. I just wanna play some games Pc specs: - Radeon RX580 8gb - Ryzen 1600x @ 3,7ghz - 16gb DDR4 @ 3000mhz Running Windows 10.

I was using my windows 10 PC normally playing subnautica the other day when a power outage occured and for some reason my ups failed. Now when i boot up it shows the usual windows logo, then the screen goes black, the loading icon appears for 10-20 seconds and the screen goes black and that's it. Nothing. I tried startup repair it says it couldn't repair it. Tried sfc it will not work, says failed after verification..... Tried system restore, it doesn't launch. Even tried resetting the pc, even that will not work. I have windows installed on a crucial 120gb ssd and a 500gb hard drive for games and stuff. If you need more info please ask.... Somebody please help me. I am legit in tears rn.

I have two Monitor at my Desk. The primary Monitor is plugged in over DVI and my second one is over HDMI. Now i wanna get rid of my second one but everytime i unplug the HDMI cable nomatter if from the Monitor or the GPU my primary Monitor goes black. In the Bios everything is ok. Works over 15 min. I deinstalled the Drivers in safemode with DDU, installed newest Drivers for my R9 290X and as soon as i restart my PC and log in the same thing happens if the HDMI cable isn't plugged in for the secondary Monitor. I flashed the gpu Bios but still the same Problem. Does anybody have any Idea how to fix this Issue? I need the second Monitor for another Project and i also need more space on my Desk. Reinstalling Windows is not an option.

Sooo, I turned my pc off an hour ago, got home and started it, now the only thing that I saw was a black screen with cmd that said "system32". (I see the login screen after I log in its the black screen!) I used explorer.exe (or something similar) now I'm here, but every time I restart I see that window. I did multiple virus scans nothing, I was downloading a game before I turned my PC off and I already deleted it. I also tried "shift restarting"/"booting into safe mode", but when I log in it says I put the wrong password even if its right I changed it after that and it still doesn't work... I think if my antivirus doesn't pick anything up ill just do a reset, and clean my C drive with that... is this a good plan? maybe there is something you guys know. I am very confused neither my friends know what this is. I hope someone can help me (i am terribly sorry for my bad English, i really hope you understand something) EDIT: Malwarebytes just found 21 potential risks, called Riskware (i don't know wth this is) but someone was mining with my PC (it says riskware.Bitcoinminer) sounds very suspicious lol

Hi there, can you help me out please?, Yesterday I started having some problems, I came home and wanted to play some Rainbow Six Siege, Everythings was OK, untill I picked up a character and then when the actual game started to render, i mean literally 1 or 2 sec after I saw the game screen my PC crashed, It was so weird, then i started to check with my other games, Bad Company2, CS Go, PUBG, MW2, BO2 passed, but when my GPU actually starts to word the PC crashes, I also ran a benchmark test, and yep, when It get to test the GPU, puum it crashes. Just to let you know, the 1080 is like 10 months old, but my rig is actually kind of "old", 5 o 6 years old, I'm aiming at the PSU, what do you think guys? By the way, the GPU stays at solid 50°C-55°C on games I said, but i can't check the other ones or with the benchmark...well because it crashes so fast.
