I realize that black itself is the absence of light, but are there any case fans in existence that are black led - or at least, extremely close? The splash art for the corsair sp 120 looks exactly like what I'm looking for https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-White-Static-Pressure-Cooling/dp/B00L64O5RI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1505390907&sr=8-2&keywords=corsair+sp120+white however, the actual product in real life does not represent that color at all.

Help! I just build a new pc (first time). After the first start I updated bios. Everything fine, so I downloaded a Gpu update (Gigabyte Aorus 1060 xtreme), I started the update and the screen went black. I waited 10 minutes, restarted my pc, saw very short msi motherboard bios screen, and black. Someone knows whats going on? I forgot to add that even the cursor is not showing.

So I've been having issues with my computer/network for the past month. The first block of text is just gonna be me listing the problems that have occurred in that time and the second will be my current issue. I figure that the background information might help someone. Also here is my part list that contains every item connected to my computer. The problem lies with the Asus ROG Swift. So this may all seem irrelevant but I ended up formatting my computer and such which could've brought on the issue and figured I should start at the beginning. About a month ago my internet started to slow down. I figured whatever, the router is getting old and hasn't had a firmware upgrade in about a year so I figured I should replace it. That got upgraded and it's now an Asus RT-AC88U. That went well for two weeks and I got my new monitor and surge protector to redo my setup. Just as a side note I have my computer plugged directly into the wall and my monitors with all the peripherals in the surge protector (I know I should get a UPS for my computer and such, I'm working on it) and my monitors are both hooked up with Displayport cables. Now about 2 weeks ago my network started to slow again and I didn't think much of it cause I didn't feel like dealing with it after redoing my setup and everything those past few days. It was gradual and went from its usual 12-15MB/s down to >1MB/s speeds for a couple days then stopped working entirely. So I moved my computer next to my router (computer is in the basement and router is on the main floor) and spent a day changing router settings and computer settings to the point where I said screw it and backed up then formatted my computer. I reconfigured how the Graphics card, the USB PCIe card, and my network card were sitting in the PCIe slots in my motherboard (was originally network card in the first PCIe x1 slot, then Graphics card in first PCIe x16 slot, then USB PCIe card in the second PCIe x1 slot. Now its USB, then network, lastly with the Graphics card in the Second PCIe x16 slot where the only difference according to the manual is that the second slot doesn't have DVI support). I reinstalled drivers for my PCIe cards and updated the computer and everything worked. I booted up a game and it wouldn't run applications or games in full screen. After reinstalling the drivers for my graphics card and some digging into the NVIDIA control panel, I found I was being dumb and the refresh rate in the control panel wasn't set to 165hz while my monitor was set to it (this monitor has a toggle overclock in its settings to set it to 165hz instead of 144hz). changed that and my games were working beautifully (used Ghost Recon: Wildlands and League of Legends to test it). Everything was fine for about an hour. Things looked great and I was playing Wildlands on the ROG Swift at 165hz and I was watching a movie on netflix on my other monitor. Then the game black screened and my monitor dropped signal as if I disconnected the displayport cable. I thought the game crashed and for shits and giggles I clicked and heard that the game was still responding. In fact I was able to shoot and run around without issue. Heavy sighs ensued. I checked the settings on both my ROG Swift and the nvidia control panel, both were sitting at the native resolution at 165hz. I turned off the overclocking (this monitor has a toggle overclock in its settings to set it to 165hz instead of 144hz for those who skipped the middle chunk or didn't care to look at the monitor) so it sat at 144hz and changed the control panel to match. No luck. So just for laughs I turned the refresh rate down to 60hz and that got my image back. I went up by the default refresh rate increments from the NVIDIA control panel and when I went to 100hz it stopped working. I turned it back down to a step below which was 85hz. I figured I'd try a different slot on my GPU to see if that would fix it to no avail. resetting the computer doesn't help, it just causes it to work at 165hz at the start but as soon as a game runs in fullscreen it immediately drops the signal again. Honestly I'm out of ideas and my brain is fried. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Hiya, I was browsing Amazon looking for a budget tempered glass case and stumbled across the newly released InWin 101. Almost immediately, I recognized something familiar: the red acrylic corner piece, the flat black surfaces... Yes of course, RX Vega! The reference design language of the card matched the case so perfectly that I thought I'd mocked up a PC part picker list for all of you here on the forums. I would love to see such a machine come to life in celebration of the release of Radeon Technologies Group high end graphics card. *Image usage disclaimer at bottom of post. Without the pricing on Vega as of this post, this setup is approximately $2200 sans GPUs (not that bad for what you get in peripherals). PC Part Picker List: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/finalCPU/saved/#view=zg93CJ First we begin with the case. At first glance the interior may dissuade some from this case due to it's odd fan layout, but with proper components we can achieve an upward airflow design that has been known to promote better heat dissipation. Here's a reference design render of RX Vega from WCCFTech for comparison: Most of the other components are more or less bang for the buck in terms of what you can find at the time, so here's what I came up with: Mainboard/CPU: Asus Strix X370 + Any Ryzen 7 CPU + BeQuite! Dark Rock 3 (Reorient for Upwards Airflow) Storage Devices: WD Black 256 NVME M.2 SSD (OS) + Sandisk Ultra II 480 (Games/Misc) + Seagate BarraCuda 2Tb 7200RPM HDD (Overflow) Power Supply and Memory: Corsair RM1000X + 2 x 8GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB + Gigabyte Wireless Card (Rev. 4.2) The reason for a 1000W PSU is that the current Frontier edition cards I've heard are able to consume up to 400 watts each, so this will hopefully be enough to keep usage between 70-90% for efficiency. Peripherals: RedDragon K556 RGB Mech. Keyboard + Corsair Sabre RGB Mouse + ATH AD500X Headphones + Acer XR342CK Monitor + Corsair AF120 Red Additional Fans All images owned by their respective copyright holders, procured from Google Image search.

I will probably be buying new furniture soon, but I'm not sure if I should go with black or white. Does anyone have a white setup? does the desk reflect your screen a lot? These are just random images I found on google ^^ Pros of white: -dust is almost invisible -clean/modern look -blends in with white walls Pros of black: -less reflections of screens -matches black monitors and dark windows themes -possibly less distracting for gaming? Thanks for your input

Hi i am going to build a new PC in the folowing months. Probably march 2018. I builted my last computer on 2008, now is time for a new RIG! By the way i use to have a MSI GE60 2PC Apache that the motherboard fried up, so i really need a new system! the msi was getting a bit slow for me so here are the pc parts i choose...but i want some opinions on the price. I am probably only going to be using 2 monitor at max maybe only one not sure. I do not need an SSD already have it and the Cooler, i have an artic cooler that should work with this socket. My budget is 1000 euros...i can go a bit up in that value if needed. PS: I am from portugal.

Hey guys, so i bought a RX-480 DEVIL from amazon arround february, and it worked kinda fine, i started noticed that some games will cause a Weird Crash that will result in No signal and peripherals powering down, but the system will remain on, monitor will only show a black screen as no signal is being outputed, well i Atributed this to a Failing Really Old (5 years PSU) that ive been hammering with loads of diferent components, a Corsair CS 650 80+ GOLD well needless to say, after a while the PSU short circuited and Fried my motherboard too when it died (the new psu was actually in transit and arrived 2 days later) well i upgraded to a New Ryzen system with an EVGA 750W BQ BRONZE PSU not Great, but Good enough for what i have (for some reason the 750w was cheaper than the 600w ones) that aside, i rebuilt my system but the fucking shitass blackscreens keep Hapening @ fucking random @ really diferent games for not so called reasons, killing floor, player uknown battlegrounds, BF1, world of warcraft, it has happened on almost any game, it sometimes happens 5 times a day, and sometimes doesnt happen at all in a week, im going to buy a cheap GPU and RMA my RX 480 as it still has warranty, fuck, everytime i buy something fuccking new it just dies, any tips? theres no crash logs, theres no anything, it will just go to a black screen

Whenever I use youtube in the internet browser in the oculus app there's a black line behind me that separates the image. Does anyone know how to fix it? The problem showed up a few days after the purchase, there were no signs of the problem before that. I think there's some problem with the algorithm because all the picture information seems to be there, the picture is just separated.

I'll ask this again because i didn't had any good response, also i've seen that many people have the same problem. I've bought a new HDD WD Black, i wanted to move some files into it, so after a few hours of copy paste, i checked again and the drive wasn't anywhere, it didn't show on the Disc Manangement neither, so i restarted my pc and then it showd up again. I use it as a secondary drive, i've been told that probably it went on sleep mode, but what i don't understand is that it wasn't on idle so it couldn't have go in sleep mode if it was still working. Now i'm moving files into it again, and every hour i check the folders so it doesn't go to sleep mode. So if that's the problem, how can i turn off the sleep mode?

Previously... Like the other topic says, i had a problem where windows didn't recognize the drive, i got it to work, i've moved like ~350gb to it because my external HDD is getting full, so i left it move the files for about 3 hours, now i came back and found an error saying that one file couldn't be found, so i wanted to check the internal HDD to see what files has been moved and i couldn't find the drive... again, checked on diskmgmt.msc and it didn't show the drive aswell, i don't know if the cables has moved but i don't this could be a problem or i don't know. So i disconected the drive because i needed to use my other drive (from my old pc, i only have one sata cable to spare lol). I'm gonna try to connect it later, but if windows doesn't recognize it again, do i need to format it? i don't wanna loose the files that i already pasted in it (i should've just copy).
-
So I don't know if anyone else has come across this problem, but the my new Surface Pro '5' (in normal use) will just randomly go to a black screen, as if it's asleep. However I have to turn the device back on, it shows the Windows logo, and then when I re-login, everything is where I left it. It's like it just randomly goes into hibernate, even though that's no longer a thing with Windows. Anyone know of any fixes? SPEC: i7 - 256GB - 8GB

For a raid 1 configuration of 2 drives which WILL be used for quite an amount of torrenting, how much will an SSHD wear and tear from the torrenting? (https://www.komplett.se/product/909964/datorutrustning/lagring/haarddisk/haarddisk-25/seagate-firecuda-2tb-25-sshd#) Also what difference am i going to feel performance-wise between these: 1. Seagate Enterprise (128MB Cache) - https://www.komplett.se/product/907896/datorutrustning/lagring/haarddisk/haarddisk-35/seagate-enterprise-capacity-2tb-sata-hdd# 2. WD Black (64MB Cache) - https://www.komplett.se/product/799876/datorutrustning/lagring/haarddisk/haarddisk-35/wd-desktop-black-2tb-35# In terms of the WD Black, it has a "Dual processor". What exactly does that give me in terms of reliability and speed?

Hello So I've been wanting a new phone for a while so I found out that in Amazon things are way cheaper than in my country's shops. So I just want to know how much % would the prices go down during the Black Friday? And do I need to pay the VAT when I order something from Amazon? I have been told that I need to pay 21% tax when I order the phone. By how much % could the price go down on https://www.amazon.com/Apple-iPhone-Factory-Unlocked-Smartphone/dp/B01NB1FOM3/ref=sr_1_3?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1497373189&sr=1-3&keywords=iphone+7+plus ?

Greetings people ? Matias is here to gift you with a PC modding build log! The plan is to make an "elite version" of nzxt's h440, inspired by their elite version of the s340. I'm either going to make full size tempered Glass or acrylic window in the side, remove the HDD area and extend the PSU chamber. Since I can't start modding today, here are some pictures of my PC as it is now (before the mod). Specs: (Soon to be modded) NZXT h440 I7 6700K MSI GTX 980 ti ASUS STRIX z270e gaming Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3 16 GB G.skill Trident Z RGB 128 GB generic Samsung SSD 1 TB Seagate hybrid laptop SSHD Be Quiet Pure Power L8 530w (Fun fact: that's the first and best powersupply I've ever bought! Every single other I've had has been worse in some way)

I probably should've done this sooner but since I was & still am broke (not for long) it had to be put off. Currently the only form of backup my personal files have is a 16GB Patriot Xporter XT USB 2.0 stick & my Galaxy S7's internal storage. I would like to very soon update that USB to a 32GB or greater USB. In addition I'd like an internal contingency plan as well, although right now the only one I'm aware of that fits the bill is a 1TB Western Digital Black. 7200RPM is a must & although I know WD Blue offers that at a much cheaper price, I prefer a 5 year manufacturers warranty's wherever possible. 1a: If I decided to just get a 256GB Patriot Supersonic Magnum 2, is there a way I can use that like a bootable internal HDD & mirror or image my OS + all files to it? 2a: Even though it's USB 3.1 Gen. 1, would that still be too slow even compared to an Internal WD Black? 3: If neither of the above choices are optimal, should I just get a 1TB WD Black for OS + 32GB USB for personal files? 4: Does Seagate make a 1TB 7200RPM HDD with a 5 year warranty priced similar & with the same or better durability as a WD Black?

HELP!!! So a while back I made a home entertainment pc and just recently it got very slow, to the point where it would just freeze. I didn't think anything of it but then it just stoped working, the fans spin up for the CPU and video card and the LED lights up in the front but no video output. So I decided to take it apart and check if one of the components are unplugged or damaged and I checked everything and they seem fine until I got to my CPU... the socket itself seems fine but the CPU has some of the pads burnt, I've used everything at stock speeds haven't overclocked and I've never had a problem with thermals.. what could have happened? These are the parts: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vxwmFd

Hi everyone, I have some problem with my fiance computer. We built it this year, but things are not working perfectly. The problem is that at random times, the screen shuts off for a few seconds (1 to 3 seconds) and goes back one again. While it's off you can still see the motherboard lights on, but everything stops for that brief moment. In the past we had a problem with the EVGA PSU, which died, we have a new Cooler Master PSU and it's less frequent than before but it is still happening randomly, so any idea of how to log what's wrong will be welcomed. Specs: - Core i5 6500k - 16 gb corsair red vengance led ram - Asus z170 pro gaming aura motherboard - 1060 gigabyte gpu - 1000w cooler master 80plus gold - Windows 10 64-bit

I noticed that the original GTX Titan and Titan Black has a spot for a third power connector. If I were to solder on said third power connector on to the Titan and plugged it in, what would happen and what are the possibilities with having a third power connector? Of course this cannot be done with a stock cooler or else I would have wires running off the back of the card connected to the power supply with alligator clips and nails.

Hello, I'll just get right to the point so when I'm on my computer doing web browsing my computer is fine. But depending on the game both of my screens will turn black despite being able to still hear sound in discord and not being able to use any input deceive like a mouse which isn't visible on either screen or keyboard. It can happen either when the game starts up (Rocket League) or when I'm actually in a match (Counter Strike: Global Offensive). The inconsistency of these black screens with no repeatable steps to get the same result is very tiring. I've booted my system in safe mode and done virus scans along within normal windows using Malwarebytes and AVG yet these problem still persists. None of my components are overheating and I've disabled all overclocked settings back to stock. I've tried unplugging everything like USB devices and even swapped the HDMI cable despite having another monitor that runs on DVI which still gets a black screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this has been happening for a few days preventing me from playing games on my computer. System specs below. Current system specs: OS: Windows 10 - OS HHD: 120GB OCZ-Vertex 2 CPU: Intel core i5 4690k 3.5Ghz MB: MSI MPOWER MAX AC Motherboard RAM: 16GB of Kingston HyperX 1866mhz memory GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 4GB EVGA SuperClock - Driver: 376.16 PSU: Corsair AX 850 Watt power supply

Below is a link of what I'm experiencing with my computer. Every so often it happens. I don't know what triggers it. It occurs often when there's blue on my computer screen. When this usually happens, I undo what I did like closing the application or going to desktop. Is this a GPU issue? https://gyazo.com/9e206b4d80aa3f544fb9aaf3b126f802 Incase it matters, the PC is a gtx 760, i5 4690, 8gb ram

I recently bought a Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1060 6gb Windforce to replace a 960 on the black friday sales. It's a good card and works great. However, recently whenever I start up my computer, it always blackscreens and my monitor will turn off because it wont detect the computer. Restarting does not work. The only things that works is turning off the power supply with the switch, flipping the switch and booting it up again. Even then it's really slow to show display. It's a pain to do this every time. The card never used to do this this when I first got it. Is there a way to fix this besides getting a replacement? I'd prefer not to send it back for a replacement due to not having a GPU for that time period.

I'm looking for a highly reliable, long lasting & very fast 1TB backup HDD for my 1st PC I'm building in a couple months. I know that seems like very early shopping but I've been slowly buying parts already in order to take advantage of the best possible sales. So far my 2 immediate options are Seagate FireCuda & Western Digital Black, both have a 5 year warranty, are around the same price, but I hear WD is slightly more reliable while SG is a little faster being an SSHD. However another feature I've been unable to find is Shock Resistance, I've seen External Portable HDD's that have this feature but not an internal one. I have a MasterCase Pro 3 & I suspect that a shock resistant external HDD could be mounted to the HDD Cage Base Plate that's also intended for a reservoir but am unsure. I'd greatly appreciate any & all suggestions regarding the two above options plus any other choices I might of missed.

I want a black-blue mobo but can't find any! I have a 6700K, 16GB of RAM (I can change the DDR type according to the mobo), and a GTX 1070. If I need to change the CPU or anything to get the mobo to be compatible then I will happily do so. Help?
