I've had my GPU for a while, and I've been using it just fine for a couple of months. My XFX RX 580 8gb GTS XXX Edition recently (like literally started yesterday) randomly showing a black screen when opening games. As soon as I opened the game, the screen would show black, but sound would play and it was still interactable. When clicking on my second monitor, my screen would appear again, but clicking back over would mess it up again. This issue only happens in games, I still use that screen just fine. This seemed to have started when I messed with my monitor settings and increased the refresh rate from 60 to 75, but going back still didn't help. My second monitor is plugged into my motherboard instead of my gpu (only two hdmi slots total on both my gpu and motherboard, so I had to do that). I also have integrated graphics on my Ryzen 5 3400G. Please someone help, I don't know why this is happening, it happened so suddenly, and I don't know what I'm doing.

Hello All, I'm running into a common trend with a lot of older boards when trying to utilize a newer GPU, in this case the RX 470. I'm currently experimenting to see if semi-modern GPUs can be used on older cheaper boards that I have laying around to do some cryptocurrency mining. I'm experimenting with 3 boards in total; however, each board has its own unique set of symptoms with the card. The basic requirement of all the boards was to have 3 PCIe slots. Here is how I will organize the post for each motherboard: The board in use and its configuration The problems associated with the board My thoughts on the matter and my approach To preface I have tried all of the following troubleshooting measures on all boards: Reseated all components and connectors (CPU, RAM, GPUs, PSU Connections) Reset the BIOS utilizing the CMOS jumper Updated the BIOS Utilized 1 GPU Alone Utilized a second PSU to power the external cards 2 and 3 Externally tested the GPUs on a more modern motherboard to make sure they were all working, all cards passed Externally tested other components to make sure they're all working Configuration 1: Components: MB: DG45ID, Chipset: G45 Express Processor: Celeron 450 RAM: 8 GB DDR2 800 MHz PSU: 500 W GPU 1: XFX RX 470 4 GB GPU 2: Gigabyte RX 470 4 GB GPU 3: Gigabyte RX 470 4 GB Problems: The motherboard makes no POST beep and puts out no display no matter which GPU I utilize in the x16 slot. It powers on for a couple seconds, turns off, and then turns back on permanently. I've also removed the PCIe x1 to x16 riser connections to no benefit. The motherboard is able to POST as when I remove the RAM, I get 3 beeps as expected. It recently had a unexpected BIOS corruption and I had to take it for repair. Following this it worked for about a day and then ran into the issue outlined above. Additionally, this board was working fine with other configurations, including a Gigabyte RX 470 before. My Thoughts: My theories have considered that somehow the BIOS doesn't recognize the card in the slot; however, this doesn't make much sense to me as online PCIe is lauded as being backwards compatible and that as long as the slot was a x16 any card should work in any motherboard with any PCIe slot generation. Also the cards worked previously. Additionally, I learned more about how PCIe lanes were managed in the old days only by the chipset present on the motherboard. Perhaps the board is running out of PCIe lanes. I could fix this by changing their config; however, I can't access the BIOS to run the x16 slot as x8 instead since there is no output. I know the chipset supports 16 PCIe lanes, so the card with no other add ins should work; however it doesn't Configuration 2: Components: MB: DQ45CB, Chipset: 82Q45 Processor: Celeron 450 RAM: 4 GB DDR2 800 MHz PSU: 500 W GPU 1: XFX RX 470 4 GB GPU 2: Gigabyte RX 470 4 GB GPU 3: Gigabyte RX 470 4 GB Problems: The motherboard makes no POST beep and puts out no display no matter which GPU I utilize in the x16 slot. It powers on for a couple seconds, turns off, and then a blinking red LED on the board flashes twice until I turn off the power. I've also removed the PCIe x1 to x16 riser connections to no benefit. The motherboard is able to POST as when I remove the RAM, I get 3 beeps as expected. I have no knowledge if the board was working before. My Thoughts: Again my thoughts run to BIOS compatibility and possibly PCIe lane use. Though I'm still confused as to why a single card doesn't put out a signal at all. Configuration 3: Components: MB: M71E Lenovo 03T6014, Chipset: H61 Express Processor: Pentium Core G840 RAM: 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz PSU: 500 W GPU 1: XFX RX 470 4 GB GPU 2: Gigabyte RX 470 4 GB GPU 3: Gigabyte RX 470 4 GB Problems: The motherboard makes no POST beep and puts out no display unless I utilize the XFX RX 470 4 GB card in the x16 slot alone. The motherboard POSTs and boots into linux fine utilizing that card alone. Utilizing any of the Gigabyte cards results in no POST and no display whether in the x16 slot or connected via x1 to x16 riser. Additionally, plugging the cards into the PCIe risers causes while running the XFX card yields the no post and no display from the card. My Thoughts: I think that the problem may lie with the PCIe lanes in this instance and possibly with motherboard compatibility. I've seen some horror stories about these proprietary motherboards and utilizing non standard add in parts. I just wanted to try this one so it didn't end up in the trash so fast. That being said, the pentium processor has no dedicated PCIe lanes from what I can tell and the H61 express chipset only has a grand total of 6. So perhaps that's causing an issue. All that being said, feel free to focus on one or all of the issues. With all of the issues being so similar, I figured I'd just make one big post and see if the solutions provided for one would help solve the others problems. Any thought or unusual suggestion may help. There are probably some things I don't understand about older hardware going on so hopefully someone can lead me in the right direction. Honestly after days of trying to figure this out, I'm at a total loss. Thank you community!

Hi, my computer turns on fine, but everytime it needs to restart to install windows, it comes back on as no signal to monitor. However computer is still running. This happens regardless of what computer is doing, whether I was even making changes in bios and it needed to restart. The only way to get out of the no signal is to hard shut down. I have waited a long time and it never gets connection after no signal. PLz help (Computer does get signal until restart, then I have to hard shutdown and turn on again to get signal back.) Computer is unusable because I cant install windows, and cant do pretty much anything that requires restart. I also forgot to mention that keyboard and mouse rgb dosen't come on after restart, however fan rgb is on and computer is still running. Also yeah no power to any usb

Whenever I turn my PC on, somewhere in the first hour or so after boot (though more likely in the first 5 minutes), my entire screen would freeze up for a few seconds then turn black. All my fans would turn up to 100% and the monitor would say "No Signal Detected". Rebooting solves the issue, though it occasionally happened more than one time in a row. Checking the Event Log and other programs showed nothing, only that the system had unexpectedly shut down. My specs are: Windows 10 Pro x64 Gigabyte B450 Gaming X (Latest BIOS) Ryzen 5 2600 (Stock, no overclocking) 2x8GB HyperX Fury Black RAM (XMP profile, 3200 MHz, issue persists on the no-XMP, as well as the 3000MHz profile) Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 570 (Stock, no extra OC) be quiet! System Power 9 500W 120 GB Kingston A400 SSD (Boot Drive) 480 GB Kingston A400 SSD 2 TB Seagate Barracuda HDD All drives are in great condition, no issues found. I have been experiencing this ever since I upgraded my GPU, so I fear the PSU may be to blame, but I have no way to confirm it, since the system never crashed under heavy load, be it CPU, GPU or both (Games, etc), and since the system shouldn't theoretically hit the max load on the PSU, according to my calculations, though I may be wrong. Additionally, due to a comment I received here, I have to mention that I scanned my system with both Windows Defender, Malwarebytes and Kaspersky Anti-Virus, no issues were found.

GPU: 5700xt Red Dragon CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x RAM: 16gb G.Skill TridentZ RGB PSU: EVGA Supernova 650w G3 MOBO: Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming SSD: 860 EVO 2tb OS: Windows 10 :Display Port: PC has been having issues in regards to just seemingly randomly having an issue (this most recent was during playing Modded Minecraft (Dedicated 8gb of Ram) in which my monitor will go black, I then can hear audio (voice chat, game) for 2-3 seconds but then that goes away too. My PCs fans go to seemingly max and the RGB of all the components stays on, I left it like that for a few minutes but It doesn't restart itself (I also attempted resetting my display drivers which didn't work). I was forced to do a manual restart and was then greeted by a black screen again and a red light signal from my Mobo. Though after restarting a second time the entire system worked as normal and stayed that way for the rest of the day, about 5 hours. It does appear to only happen while playing Games but the games that experienced crashes (Minecraft, Crusader Kings 3, Halo Reach, and Mount and Blade Bannerlord where I've had the most crashes) aren't particularly stressful titles. I've checked for temperature issues but max GPU was 80-83 and max CPU was 69. (not the best but within spec) Event Viewer has not been helpful at all only reporting my own manual restart. I've been dealing with this issue on and off for the past couples months, I've updated drivers, disabled different programs such as CAM and reseated the power pins (which I had thought finally fixed it as one of the VGA to the PSU got loose). I've also ran multiple stress tests of the CPU/GPU in OCCT and ran multiple benchmarks on 3dmark to test if it was a power issue but it did not crash during either. This has been an extremely difficult issue to deal with as the crashes are extremely sporadic (happening seemingly about once a week) and I can hardly ever recreate them. I was only ever to semi recreate the crashes via using the Blacksmith in M&B Bannerlords but I've got no idea what that would point too and it also stopped working as effectively. RegardlessI appreciate any response that may help in narrowing down the issue, I just pray it's not the GPU because of the market!

So I've had this laptop for about a month and have loved it so far until I started to have this issue when I go to turn it on. Even after a restart I get this issue as well. I pwer it on and the screen stays blank but the rest of the computer definitely powers up though. Only thing I've gotten to work is the reset gpu driver combo and now I can't even get that to work. I tried taking out the RAM and unplugging the battery but nothing seems to work. I'm at loss of what to do or how to troubleshoot this.

Hi. I was having some issues with my raid not booting despite the raid controller saying it was bootable so I checked my BIOS and it wasn't selecting my raid setup as my default disk and so i fixed that. Whilst I was in the BIOS I changed some other settings which were to make the PC bootable with a LAN cable, enabling Q-fan Control for My PC case fan and setting the BIOS wait timer to need a user prompt. Since doing that my PC boots, posts, shows the motherboard splash screen and then black screens. I have tried going into the BIOS to undo these changes but the PC ignores me pressing commands on the boot screen. How can I fix this? I have a custom CPU overclock enabled which was setup by PC Specialist and I don't know how to set it up again and I don't wan to lose it if possible My motherboard is ASUS P6X58D-E and I have a copy of the manual here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hI6ypHAi4KwcRKJr6TFwJdQGY5GJAEJO/view?usp=sharing But i can't seem to find anything there asking for a User Prompt? EDIT: The PC says 'entering setup' on a american mega trends splash screen does not enter setup when the DEL command is pressed. Thank you in advance, P.S. I hope I put this in the right place If not yet me know and i'll move it.

kinda following the vibe surrounding my life, my pc decided that it should suck and be good only at passing out for no apparent reason. I have no idea of what's going on, but ever since I've upgraded my pc like, two days ago (coming from a ryzen 5 2400g, no graphics other then integrated Vega 11) it just randomly freezes, show black screen, usb ports don't work anymore, and if there is some audio playing, it will loop the last second of itself until everything goes dark (tested a few minutes ago, where I live is morning and I had my history teacher kinda triggered by my disappearence), thought it was windows and its terrible way of handling hardware, it's not, same thing happens both on windows and on my fav Linux distros. Seems to be somehow related to every workload gpu-related (gaming, benchmarking and online classes use to rise up the probability of everything going to -idk if I can say the s-word-) Now I still haven't done much because of a general lack of time, but I think a bios update could fix this, not quite sure tho. Info about my configuration on my profile, I'm going to add my motherboard as soon as I can TL;DR Everything basically freezes and become unresponsive after upgrading my """"""rig""""""

Hey guys, I build myself a new PC with following specs: Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING B550 PLUS CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X GPU: ASUS Strix GTX 1060 6GB RAM: 4x8GB 3600MHz G.Skill SSD: Samsung EVO 500GB NVMe PSU: Corsair RM850 I updated the BIOS to Version 1401. After that the PC bootet, I tried to install Windows but after the necessary reboot I won't get any video output. Not even BIOS. I tried HDMI, DisplayPort also my old ASUS Strix GTX 970 but nothing. CMOS reset also didn’t helped. Debug LED also is useless. Do you have any idea? Googling and asking all my friends with ASUS Motherboards didn’t helped either.

System: i7 6700k Asus Z270 F gaming Asus strix R9 390x Antec EAG 750W Gold Kingston Hyperx 8gb Silicon power Nvme 512gb The Problem: So much of system lag that I feel like banging my head on the desk. Even the mouse pointer lags! Black Screens and eventually a lagged system with no response. I initially thought it must be a GPU or PSU issue (as most of the above problems have gpu or psu as problems in the countless threads I've come across, maybe 100+) so I RMA'd the PSU and have a new one now and even the SSD. Things that I've tried with my friends pc: He owns and i5 7th gen, B250 Mobo, 1060 3gb, 500w Antec Vp series Things that worked flawlessly: 1. Swapped out only my gpu and put it in his system 2. Swapped out his gpu and put it in my system 3. Swapped CPU, PSU ans every possible combination (was at his place for 10+ hours) Things that didn't work: 1. My (Mobo Z270 + GPU R9 390X) + His (CPU i5 7th gen + PSU + HDD + RAM) Somehow whenever I connect my gpu to my Mobo, the problem always comes back. So, I took another 1060 but this was a 6Gb version. That's because I thought maybe the motherboard is having some issues when handling bigger GPUs. And VOILA! The lag returned again. As of now I have my own i7 6700k, hyperx 8gb, Asus Z270 Mobo but the only thing different is the GPU which is a 1060 6Gb instead of my R9 390x And the system still lags. Is it possible that the mobo cannot handle things whenever a bigger card is used or maybe because the number of pcie lanes used are more by the 6gb 1060 and the 8gb 390x? I seriously don't know if a motherboard can act this crazy. Please help me with this and tell me if this is possible. (Yes everytime I've uninstalled the drivers with DDU and even tried older drivers) Running the system without a GPU on integrated 6700k's graphics is also smooth without any issues. The issue only persists when a bigger gpu is attached to the mobo. Please please please help me with this. I would be very grateful is someone shed a light on this and helped me with things to do ahead. I have a lot of work that has been backlogged due to this issue. (I've attached a video in which I'm constantly moving the mouse but you can clearly see the lag and even the system lagging later. Do keep in mind that the system works flawlessly with the onboard graphics without a GPU) YouCut_20201211_013541468.mp4

OK, I know this is an old GPU, however, it's still not bad playing older games, even some 2018 ones. I know this is a working GPU, it was working OK before in Windows 7-64 Bit Ultimate machine. However when I installed it in my current desktop, - the BIOS screen posts just fine, the board cycles through all the colours, testing all the peripherals and finally lights up green as it should, indicating all peripherals are functioning fine, including GPU (white LED). Then I see Windows logo. The first time I put it in - I was able to boot to desktop, but just as I was un-zipping the driver for this card, - the screen went black. I assume this happened as Windows was automatically trying to install a generic Microsoft driver for it? Not sure. However, I didn't have enough time to install its latest driver I downloaded from ASUS site, as the screen went black. I re-booted by holding power button. This time the screen went black immediately after the Windows logo, it wouldn't even let me sign in. The hard drive LED kept flashing while the screen was black with very faint, grayish, flickering artefacts. I waited for maybe 5-6 minutes thinking the situation might resolve, but it didn't. My current setup is Windows 10-64 bit Professional, B450-F motherboard, 16 GB of RAM, Ryzen 3-3100 CPU, Samsung EVO 128 GB SSD, 6TB Seagate Barracuda HDD. I went online to find everything I could on the issue, however, almost all the entries had to do with people trying to install or update the card's driver, and this is what caused the black screen. In my case, I didn't even have enough time to unzip the driver installation directory. What could this be, granted this is very unlikely to be a hardware, or board compatibility issue, since BIOS boots just fine and recognises the card? Is this something to do with OS? The driver? has anyone encountered a similar issue with this card in the past, I wonder? Very grateful for advice.

Hello, I remember some time ago that I enabled some kind of legacy thing in bios and now I can't get back in to disable it. The issue is that there is no video output until windows login shows up. I tried clearing CMOS (battery and special pins) - didn't help. After the CMOS clear, I have to press F1 on keyboard to boot up. So it kinda clears up some cmos data, but not everything as there is still no video output. I remember the F1 key, because it's the key you press to continue booting when CPU or RAM is changed. When this black screen is present on boot, the white LED debug shines on mobo which refers to faulty GPU, but that can't be the case, as once it gets past the black boot screen, I can use my gpu in windows normally. What are my options? I can't RMA mobo as I have no replacement for it and I can not wait whole month. Do you think that I should get different GPU to try or lend a ryzen APU in hopes, that onboard output is present ? Setup: r7 2700 2x 8GB ram sticks asus tuf x570

Spec: 2700x, b450 aus tuf plus gaming, asus tuf 1650 super, corsair vengence 2400 mhz(ram just to see if system works as the one I wanted will be available in few days then they will replace. 650 watt 80 plus bronze rated SSD 500gb Issue: Everything was working fine when i brought it home. Everything worked, had old ssd with win 10 so used that and the old 2700x (7-8 month used). I used the pc for few hours with no issues. I updated the win10 , installed the drivers, tried some apps and games just to see if it was working properly or not. i shut it down with no issue. Next day the pc did not turn on. the fan ramped to full speed in GPU and CPU posibly PSU but no Post. Gave the system back they repaired and said changed RAM to corsair one, possibly faulty ram issue and the one I wanted will be available in few days. (tried the gkill tridentz 3200mhz so thought 3200mhz ram may not be supported or just faulty ram) Same thing as day one full fan speed no post. Then I Opened up the case, reseated everything tried again same issue. Removed the GPU then tried, CPU fan speed was back to normal (keyboard was connected but no lights) Inserted just the GPU power cable but not connected to motherboard slot, fan speed was normal again. As soon as I insert GPU and try again the fan ramps up and no post. Any solution to the problem? Any mistakes I might have made. Cant return system for few more days as holiday season so if there is a solution to the problem that I can use at home then do help. Or if you have any ideas on the possible problem do tell. UPDATE 1: Day 3: Worked normally for 2-3 hours. One shutdown happened (Could be because the power plan was in "Power Saver Mode"). Getting some games downloaded (AC: Unity and Watch Dogs 2) 80ish GB just to test if any issue happens when mostly idle. 6-7 hr download + medium usages. ALSO: Adding to question: Could insufficient cooling be the issue? Current cooling fully depends on Stock cpu/gpu coolers. (upgrade planned for few weeks later due to budget and price hikes). Only played at high setting for some 4 year old games. no new AAA titles played. Issue repeated after 4 days of usage again. Worked withour issue for 4 days. Solution:: warranty replacement. Psu and mobo. Each worked seperately but not together. Most likely psu was a damaged one.

So I'm writing this in case any poor soul is googling for a solution to this as my fix was something incredibly stupid. I built my first pc and by some miracle it booted into the bios on first try. The first thing I did was to update the BIOS. I followed the instructions to a T: I plugged in the prepared USB drive and used the BIOS utility to select the file and update. Everything was going according to the instructions. Once the update finished, the PC rebooted. But I was greeted by a black screen. There was signal to the monitor, but it was black. To make matters worse, the VGA LED on the motherboard was lit, which according to the manual means GPU not detected or failed. I rebooted several times trying to get into the bios by masing delete like my life depended on it, but nothing. I was ready to reflash the bios using the flashback button or consider finidng another GPU to test out. Luckily, before doing that I found the very stupid fix. It's something no set of instructions I found mentioned: I unplugged the USB dirve. After doing that and rebooting, I was greeted by the freshly updated bios. I have no idea what caused this. I was thinking that it was trying to boot onto the usb drive for some reason, but even then I was still unable to get to the bios by mashing delete. Would love to hear if anyone has any idea what happened

Hi guys, for the last couple of months I have been black screens when using my Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X OC. It is a very peculiar issue, because it only happens when I am outside of a game e.g. with an open browser (with hardware acceleration turned off), or other 2D applications, I believe it has only happened in game once or twice and that was when I had some 2D applications open as well as the game. I have noticed it often happens when I open Origin's client - it would crash within a few minutes - and that's how I tested the fixes I have tried that are stated below. The screen goes black (but still on) and the PC hangs - I tried accessing it through TeamViewer from my laptop, but it appears offline, so it definitely hangs, it's not just a GPU driver issue. When I press the restart button on my PC it would sometimes do the loud buzz. The card never goes over 85 degrees Celsius, because of the gigantic cooler and the three fans - the reasons I like it so much. The fans don't even rev-up, cause I've got an intake fan just next to the GPU on the side of the case (an old CooleMaster case). Stuff I've tried so far: I am now officially out of ideas, it seems like it's a voltage issue on the lower or lowest power stages, but I am just guessing. Would forcing constant voltage help? Should I bake the GPU in the oven? Has anyone had similar issues and know if I can revive this card? Or is it just dead for good?

hey everyone, since yesterday I got a problem with my new build. I installed a new mobo (rog crosshair viii hero wifi) in combination with my ryzen 5950x. The problem is that I get a black screen. First of all I had some problems with my motherboard (got error 02) and thanks to an user I (hopefully) fixed it and get the error FF. This "error" should be totally fine. My problem is now, that I cannot get any image on my monitor. I tried to flash my bios to the newest bios (25/12) and tried the last one from 07/12. out. My result is still the same... no video found it says. Things I tried: -BIOS flashback -change the pci slot of my gpu -cmos reset -use a displayport -use a hdmi port hopefully somebody can help me fixing my issue Which you a greate start to 2021

Hello everyone and happy new year! Last year (In november) i built a new pc and all was well until a few weeks ago when i started getting problems. Problem short description Screen go randomly black, sound stops and have to restart pc via power button Problem in depth description These blackout screens happen randomly and i do not believe they are related to temps. These blackouts have happened while watching youtube, watching twitch, playing rocket league. To be more precise, with the 1070 gpu, when it happens, all the case fans go max speed also. With the 280x the fan speeds dont change, only the screen goes black and sound stops. As an separate problem i have experienced with my pc, I have had the ethernet randomly disconnect for a few seconds and then sometimes it reconnects, sometimes i have to replug the ethernet cable. I have googled and come to the conclusion that this internet issue is because the motherboard has a faulty lan card (apparently realtek does not make good lan cards) What i have tried Reinstalling various versions of gpu drivers Updated my BIOS to latest Resetting CMOS RAM is running on default speed (no xmp) I have run memtest which did not find anything I have ran heaven with both gpus and it didnt black out either of them. I have run aida64 stress test for cpu for 10 minutes with each gpu and no crashes The windows Event viewer does not log any weird entries when these black screens happen Extra info I built 2 identical systems (except GPU) in october, one for me and one for my gf. Her pc is fine and has not experienced any problems whatsoever. Last pc i built before these was in 2013 so at first i thought maybe i messed up somewhere but i dont believe it to be the case since hers works fine. My current theory I think either my PSU or my MOBO is damaged (Leaning mobo because of lan issue) but before i take them to warranty wanted to see if anyone has any more insight into what may cause this. My PC Running stock on everything OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit GPUs: Gigabyte Radeon 280x and Asus 1070 CPU: Ryzen 5600x CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i platinum se MOBO: Asrock B550 Steel legend (P1.80, latest bios) RAM: Corsair Dominator platinum 2x8gb CL16 3200MHz (Stock without XMP) PSU: Corsair RM850x 850W 80+ gold STORAGE: Corsair MP510 nvme 1TB (OS + most of my stuff) STORAGE: Some old WD 1TB hdd for storing movies, pictures and stuff Conclusion At this point im starting to give up hope that this issue can be fixed without warranting some parts, with this post im looking for some ideas/thoughts about what could cause these issues and if warranty is required, which parts are the likely culprits. Thank you to everyone who managed to read through this entire post.

Hello everyone, I am building a new system and I am still waiting on my GPU (RTX 3080) to arrive. I have found similar problems, but not as specific as mine... so sorry if this is a duplicate thread but I haven't found one that's the same. The problem I have with this system is the following... Whenever I launch a game, I get a black screen (no signal from gpu), sometimes during the loading screen or after 15-20 sec in the game. I can still hear the sounds in the game, and after 10 seconds the black screen has occurred I can hear the notification sound of the windows like a new hardware being plugged in / detected. At this point I have to restart my pc to regain the display. After the restart I can see the notification that the display drivers have crashed. I have tried stress testing the system with Aida64 Extreme and it goes fine without freezing / crashing / black screens. I have also tried Memtest86 and it shows no errors / freezing even after 2-3 hours of running. I can leave YouTube on for hours and it doesn't crash. I am waiting on my RTX 3080 to arrive, and until then I am stuck with this old GPU. To make things even more complicated, the GPU works like a charm when I plug it in the old computer I have... no crashes, nothing. Things I have tried so far: 1. Stress testing with Memtest86, Aida64 Extreme (All good) 2. Launching different games (all result with black screen) 3. Turning off XMP, Precision Boost Overdrive 4. Removing one RAM stick, booting with one, switching slots and what not... 5. Trying both PCI-express lanes 6. Trying 3 different power cables for the GPU 7. Reseating the GPU countless times to make sure the double lock is properly engaged 8. Removing BIOS battery and clearing 9. Clean install windows 10. Tried different SSD's and windows versions 11. Tried cleaning drivers with DDU and installing older drivers 12. Tried undervolting and downclocking the GPU I Q-Flashed the bios when I received the motherboard in order to prepare it for the CPU (Ryzen 5900x). Everything went great, and the bios version is F31o (AGESA Version 1.1.0.0). My system: MB: X570 Aorus Elite (F31o bios) CPU: Ryzen 9 5900x Ram: 2 x 16gb 3600Mhz G.Skill TridentZ RGB 16-19-19-39 GPU: Asus STRIX GTX 970 Direct CUII 4Gb SSD: Kingston 240Gb (just for testing purposes) PSU: Evga Supernova GA 850W Gold Plus Cpu Cooling: Corsair iCue H100i RGB Pro XT Monitor: 2 x Dell U2719D Windows: Win10 Pro x64 (latest update) Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I want to use the new system with my GTX 970 until the new GPU arrives. Thanks!

Got a replacement GPU about 3 months ago and the other day was playing Destiny 2. Switched over to Dead by Daylight custom lobby with my friends. As the lobby started loading the screen went black and the sound in my headset glitched out. Turned it off and on and it was working fine. As soon as I started a game up again and it tried to load in it crashed again. Third time screen went black but sound didnt glitch. Could still hear everything fine but no luck with the video. Checked the GPU and the fans werent running and kinda smelt like a soldering iron but nothing was hot. Now the PC boots and everything seems fine even the GPU fans but still a black screen. Checked the HDMI and monitor itself and theres no problems. Have tried taking the GPU out and putting it back in but still no luck. Have no clue what's going on. Also have tried with a DVI cable in-case the HDMI port is fried and still no luck.

So i build a new PC last month and i had zero problems until last week. I would start the PC it would show the bios screen and the bios screen gets cancelled and all of the fans go to full speed and i get a blackscreen and can only turn off the PC by holding down the Power Button. After that i'll try some more times. Until i get to the windows repair error screen and i load a system backup after that i can start it normally. It only happens too when its the first PC start of the day. I tried using different RAM slots or just use 1 RAM but that wasn't so RAM IS FINE Did a BIOS reset with taking out the CMOS battery and putting it back in. Also did a BIOS Update and got the latest Driver of Chipset for my CPU I tried without Graphics Card and it just stays with glowing mainboard light and doesnt really start at all. Dont know whats that about . But always when i can finally run the system again i dont have problems at all, ones windows is booted up i can play everything and use all of my PC Hardware easily Im trying to solve this problem for over a week now and i dont know what to do anymore. Help me please do i need new parts? or is it something else 650W PSU GOLD from bequiet i7-9700KF 3.60GHz 16 GB RAM DDR4 3000MHz 1TB SSD Samsung EVO 120 GB SSD Sandisk Geforce RTX2070 SUPER
