The screen goes black for 1-2 seconds and comes back on. And on the top left it says "Displayport 1" or "HDMI 1" or 2 depending on the port I'm using. This happens completely at random whether it's in game or on the desktop screen. -The entire system has been replaced -the gpu has been RMA'd three times. -windows 11 has been reinstalled numerous times. -I reinstalled the graphics drivers countless amount of times. -I've kept the drivers up to date. -I have replaced the displayport cable 4 times, each time with a new cable. VESA certified displayport 1.4 cables, once with a displayport 2.0 cable to see if that would work. -I have gone through 3 NEW monitors. -I have used different displayport ports on my gpu. -I have turned off gsync. -it happens with hdr on and hdr off. -it has been plugged into the wall, and into a 1000 watt uninterruptable power supply. My PC is an Origin PC with an RTX 3080, AMD Ryzen 9 5950x with an ASUS B550 UNIFY motherboard and 32 GB of Ram. This same problem persisted on a completely separate machine. I've experienced this issue for a year and I'm at my wit's end. This issue has caused me immense stress and anxiety that I've been getting ready to give up so I'm posting this out of desperation.

Hi all, hoping someone can help me out, a friend of mine has asked me to take a look at his laptop that keeps crashing at random times to a black screen requiring a reboot. The laptop brand is a bit suspect so I wouldn't be surprised if it was some sort of hardware issue but I just want to figure out if its fixable or if it needs sent back. The laptop is a Teclast 15, Intel Celeron N4120, 8GB Ram running windows 10. I have checked that its all up to date windows wise but the issue still persists. I had a look at the event logs as well and there are a good few error/warnings, I think its related to one code in particular: "WHEA-Logger, Event Id 1" but I have no clue how to interpret these.... I have attached an export of them if anyone who understands could take a look. I thought of doing a fresh windows install but not sure if that would help at all. Any help at all would be appreciated. test.evtx

I have just built a new PC. The only part that was not brand new was my SSD I moved from an old system. I am getting a black screen when windows automatically finds the video drivers. I have used DDU, I have uninstalled the driver's from device manager. I have attempted to update through GeForce experience. I have reset windows and still having the same issue. There is connection to the video card as the screen is lit up it's just black. I am able to boot into safe mode and use as a basic display adaptor without issues with the video. It appears to only happen once windows finds the driver or if I install the driver. I placed the SSD in my old system and it loaded into it without issue. Currently I did a windows reset to see if that would fix the issue but once it went to do the install it's the same issue. Going to leave it for a while to make sure it goes through before powering off. System spec: I5-10400f 2x8gb ddr4 2666mhz Msi H510i pro wifi motherboard Gtx 1660 ti Samsung Evo 850 500gb

This all started when I restarted my computer to apply updates for linux, the specific os is pop os (22.04 I think) and the computer wouldn't boot it kept not starting for about 10 minutes while I was waiting to hang with friends in discord, so I restarted the computer again in hopes that it would fix the issue and it's been broken ever since. My computer won't start or reach the bios. The color code on my motherboard is like green, the words next to the led say boot. Through some of the troubleshooting steps I took the motherboard would also show the vga light or the yellow light too, while the green one was on. So sometimes the yellow and white were both on, vga and boot. Steps I took: I tried the cables at the back and power cycling the computer. I also tried turning off the power supply and waiting like 30 seconds or so and turning back on and trying that too. I took out the gpu and put in another one, a gtx 1650 super by asus, the Phoenix model, that didn't work. It has a power led so I know I plugged it in correctly because it's red if a connector is not plugged in on the graphics card. I tried removing all the ram sticks but one and originally it wouldn't work and I got a ram light but I think that was because it was in the first slot on the left and not that last one on the right, when I put it in the last slot to the right it didn't get a ram error, but it was still stuck on the green (boot) and the white (vga) led are now on. I can add pictures but I need to wait until I get home. Update: I fully took apart the computer after not getting it into the bios for so long. I changed out the power supply. I changed out the graphics card. I changed the motherboard and it ended up getting cpu error on the other motherboard but it was an ebay motherboard with thermal paste on the socket so I'm not exactly sure if it was not the motherboard that was the problem. Also, before I changed the motherboard I took out the cmos battery for a bit and and started it up without it and then put it back in, changed the battery to a new one. The reason I have so many parts is because I was going to build a computer for my uncle using the 5700g. I'm going to go back home tonight to try idk the 5700g on the ebay motherboard and on the x570 motherboard. At this point there is almost no original parts, I have changed out the gpu, changed the power supply, left one stick of ram in (it's still the same ram), removed both drives in case they were bunk, and changed the motherboard for a b550 board that had thermal paste on the socket, let me see if I can find the listing image. The image I have is an image I took right after receiving the motherboard.

Hey guys, when playing Splitgate I sometimes get random black screens. The computer turns of completely and the red debug VGA light turns on. Everything besides XMP is running stock. I reseated the ram + the gpu but that didn't change a thing. In another game, zombie army 4 I had like 2800fps in the menu and thus the pc crashed after like 15-45 seconds on a reproducable basis. When it happens the pc shuts down with a blackscreen and boots again - At first the CPU led goes on, followed by VGA + Boot simultaneous. After that the VGA light blinks and then the boot led. I still have warranty on my card, should I replace it? System: bequiet STRAIGHT POWER 11 850W Platinum XFX 6900XT Merc black edition Ryzen 9 5900X NZXT Kraken Z73 MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge wifi Corsair Vengeance 3600 CL18 DDR4 I would be thankful for any tips. edit: I'm also using a cable mod pro kit, should I remove it? Also the VGA led is turned on while booting, normal?

So i bought a new SSD installed windows on it and played one round on R6S and random black screen with constant buzzing sound forced me to force shutdown.I get no errors ussualy but there is sometime a blue screen with a hardware error message. I believe it is from the SSD because i reinstalled windows on my hard disk and the games didn't crash. Now i am wondering what could be wrong with the SSD since if i stay one the home menu or in chrome this doesn't happen. I ran sfc scan it showed that it fixed some errors but the error still persists, I also cheked if my SSD was compatibale with my motherboard and it was my but i don't know if it could be due to my motherboard old bios.

this issue is driving me crazy, I contacted NVIDIA and adobe with no luck! Nvidia told me to downgrade my driver version to other versions and adobe told me to downgrade adobe premiere to older versions too but with no luck, my pc randomly freezes when editing on adobe premiere and then my two monitors turns black and after a minute the whole pc restarts! it's happening 2-3 times daily when using premiere like randomly! I looked for minidump files and found many, attached is the latest one happened, I tried looking up online to open it and found bugcheck analysis : VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (116) Attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed. but I didn't understand actually what is that error! can someone help please with my issue? is my RTX 3090 faulty and needs to be changed? is this a RAM issue? or power supply? what should I do? my computer specs: Threadripper 3970X Corsair Vengeance 256 GB RAM Asus Rog Zenith Extreme Alpha II MSI Gaming Trio RTX 3090 Corsair HX 1200W LIAN LI CASE 2x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro Raid 0 082122-15062-01.dmp

Hello everyone! First off, thanks for taking the time to read this. I'm a little out of my league here. Here's my hardware: MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk AMD B550 So.AM4 Dual Channel DDR4 ATX (not sure which firmware, but I got it in January and updated it then) AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6x 3.70GHz 850 Watt Corsair RMx White Series RM850x Modular 80+ Gold 2x Crucial Ballistix BL16G36C16U4B.M16FE1 16GB DDR4-3600 Asus STRIX GTX 970 4GB 1TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2 220 PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe (MZ-V7S1T0BW) Some old 7200RPM HDD for storage Some old SanDisk SSD Plus 240GB In order to install Manjaro on my old SSD, I went into my UEFI settings and disabled Secure Boot, as well as CSM ("UEFI only" I believe was the other option). Later on, I wanted to change something else in the UEFI, but for some reason after the Manjaro installation, the resolution was extremely low to the point of it being mostly unreadable. I know I'm stupid, but I tried anyway, but it appears I accidentally chose the wrong option. I wanted to back out, but accidentally confirmed instead. I THINK I did something regarding GOP, Secure Boot and UEFI, but I don't know what exactly. Right after, the entire PC just froze up, and the only option was a hard reset. Ever since, my PC won't post anymore and the screen stays black (both monitors say they're not getting any signal). CPU fan, front fan and PSU fan are turning. GPU fan is not, but never did during boot-up. The keyboard will light up on Num, Caps and Scroll, and a few seconds later, only Num stays illuminated. SOMETIMES the EZ Debug LEDs will light up red after hitting the power button, one after the other, and go out again. SOMETIMES the "BOOT" LED will stay red. Here's what I've already tried: I've read and done all the sensible things in this thread: Tried to reset CMOS (through battery removal, as well as using the jumper method) many times, to no avail I've taken off all hard drives and SSDs, tried to boot with only one RAM stick in I have plugged in my Manjaro SSD and my GPU into an old computer, confirming that both are working (computer won't boot into the SSD's OS because the boot loader I think was on the nvme, but I can mount and use it in a live USB environment) Tried GPU in other PCI-e slot Tried both DVI slots and the HDMI slot, and different monitors Sadly I can't test the rest of the hardware in my old machine since they're not compatible. Is it possible that I accidentally activated GOP, and my GTX 970's BIOS isn't up to date and doesn't work with it? if so, would flashing a newer, compatible BIOS fix my issue so I can reset the UEFI? Did I somehow short my board and now my PCI-e lanes are fried? Or did a short somehow kill my power supply, not giving enough power to the GPU? Or is it really just the UEFI? Thanks for reading. Please let me know if any additional information is needed. I've been up all night with this.

Hey there, I'm having black screen while gaming, my screen go black and I hear the sound off the game for 2-3 seconds then nothing, I have to force reboot each time, and sometimes I can play 2hours without crashing and some others times it will take less than an hour to have Black screen. It didnt do it in the first weeks I had the PC. I'm having same issues but my specs are : Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Famille(10.0.19044 Build 19044) crack version Physical Memory (Installed): 16 GB Processor: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700K @ 3.60GHz Total Installed Updates: 30 Updates - See Detailed View for more information Display Adapter(s NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 System Manufacturer: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. I have already check with core temp application, my CPU is not going over 78° while gaming and my GPU stays at a steady 80°, so i've eliminated the overheating problems. I have DRAM DebuG LED that light on while booting and then the LED is turning off. PC was booting fine with 4 sticks of RAM at the beggining but one day it refuses too boot at all so I had to took out some of the stick. I've took out the sticks on slot 1 and 3 and it's booting now. I've test each of my RAM individually on the slot 2 and while gaming I get those black screen with every single one of the stick. So i'm starting to eliminate the RAM as a problem but it might come from the slot itself. Somebody told me it could be a motherboard issue but I have no way to check that except replacing the motherboard. Could somebody please have some inputs on that matter? Regards

When i turn on the computer everything seems to be fine but once I reach the windows login interface everything turns black. I tried restarting but it didn't work, the bios and windows repare show up but I couldn't do anything there, I tried to boot into safe mode, same problem. I can view multiple things through shortcuts like the project panel And I can open on screen keyboard through the accebility features And the curser works though it is invisible, though it sometimes turns on. Ive had a similar problem before and I fixed it by connecting a monitor to the laptop, but this time it wasn't, I even tried to use a magnet for the monitor to become the main screen but still no luck, is there anything else I could do?

Hello everyone, I'm stuck in quite a weird situation here. I can't get my Dell Precision T5500 to post on my Dell 1912H monitor Here's the workstation specs Intel(R) Xeon(R) E5606 2.13GHz 12GB (3x4GB) DDR3 RDIMM Memory , 1333MHz, ECC 250GB SATA (7200RPM) Hard Disk Drive 1 GB NVIDIA Quadro 2000 I am connecting my PC to monitor via display port/VGA adaptor to VGA port (monitor end). The issue being ,PC is displaying bios in other monitors but not the one that I have. I tried LG monitor and other Dell monitor and the PC showed up the BIOS in them. What I've tried so far Resetting bios Changing CMOS battery Reinstalling RAM Reinstalling Graphics card Even tried DVI port This PC also have what Dell calls Diagnostic light codes. In my case I have the 1, 2, 3 numbers lit up which as per Dell's service guide means the following I have no idea what it means by "indicates routine system activity subsequent to video initialization". Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Hello, To start with, here are all my computer specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070 SSD: Crucial P1 3D NVMe PCIe M.2 1TB SSD: Samsung 860 Evo 1TB RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200 C16 2x8GB MBD: MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC (MS-7B85) Power Supply: Antec 620 High Current Gamer I changed on last Friday (so 3-4 days ago) my CPU, previously a Ryzen 5 3200. Since then, my computer seem to "random" "crash". All 3 screens turn fully black (not even mouse on) I can hear the fans running and even when I press to power button it doesn't shut down or restart (even on pressing it for a whole minute) I first thought on GPU problem but the GPU has never had this kind of problems before and it happened right after CPU change. I also thought it could be the power supply not good enough but the one I have should be LARGLY enough (I'm not 100% if you wanna double check) My motherboard does support the CPU, the RAM shouldn't cause any problems, the SSDs either. So back to the CPU, I also thought it could come from over heating, I'm planning on opening it up again and putting more thermal paste but I don't really think this will change anything. What I observed is that, last time I opened Unity, I tried to export a 3D model that was quiet heavy, during the process (quite fast into it) my computer had this black screen crash I described earlier. Then after I restarted it (with the small button next to the power button, it literally just reboot the PC straight up even if power button doesn't work), after that crash during the model export, now every times I even TRY to open Unity, my computer crash right of during at the start of the loading. Even after letting my computer rest for a few hours and launching Unity first thing as I boot it up it crashes right up. Also, I used my computer for the WHOLE week end for an event, literally 14 hours at a time and I didn't have any problems. So I really don't think it's a over heating problem, but at this point I really don't know what to try anymore. I have the very last BIOS update for my motherboard. Every driver have been updated pretty recently. As I said even when I opened Unity first thing after booting, it crashed, and this week end I streamed and played games, while using different softwares for the stream all at the same time and here it didn't crash, so it's also not an overload of the computer (I think). As said, I don't think it's a power Supply problem (but feel free to check). Also this problem NEVER happened before I changed the CPU so here I am, begging for you all's help. As I said, first thing in the morning tomorrow I will open it up and add thermal paste, just in case, see if it changes anything, and if not I'll bring back my previous CPU. I'll try to open Unity and do some stuff around and update you guys, see if the new CPU is the problem or if I still have them with the old one, but in the meantime I really wanted to ask you all for advice and help because I'm starting to run out of ideas. On this, if you have read it all to here, well thank you for your time very much. Hopefully I've been clear enough and gave enough informations. I hope you all have an excellent day

I’ve never built a computer before so I feel like I’m missing something obvious but I’ve tried everything I could think of or find online. I’m at the part in building it (following the “How to build a PC, the last guide you'll ever need!”) where you test it outside of the case. The first time I powered it on it kind of worked a screen popped up that said something about two options for setting up the PC (I can’t remember exactly what it said) I didn’t really know what it meant so I turned it off and now every time I’ve powered it on everything appears to turn on but I get no signal on the monitor and The VGA light comes on on the motherboard. I have tried reseating everything I have unplugged and re-plugged in every cable, to me at least everything looks correct I checked several websites the parts should be compatible. Please help Parts: Msi b560m pro-e, aorus GeForce rtx 3060 ti, intel 10th gen core i7, aegis gskill 16gbx2

Hi, My computer has been blank screening and no screening and fans going to 100% when opening games (I'm guessing that it is because I'm loading the graphics card). It was working fine last night when I was playing far cry 6 last night fine. I knocked the computer very slightly and I had a look though the windows and everything seems fine (Due to ill health I can't pick computer up and pick it up I'm getting health moving it tomorrow) I've also checked the graphics card to see if was moving but it seems fine. What tests/things should I be doing to check the computer tomorrow. I was working on the computer yesterday and installing a hard drive, But I was playing Far Cry 6 for a couple of hours last night and didn't have a problem. I have noticed that occasionally the screen goes black for a less than a second and to be honest I'm still not certain that it's defiantly happening. Any advice would be fantastic, Thanks in advice

Hey... So I have this problem.. Today I enabled fTPM on my amd cpu, windows 11 launched and everything was working. Later on some applications requested I have TPM & Secure boot enabled, so I went into BIOS and enabled Secure boot to "Standard" mode, and made sure it's enabled. However the problem is that now if I ever try to get into BIOS, I just blackscreen and I'm forced to turn off my pc/restart it. Once I start pressing the key to get into BIOS, the mouse turns off it's light, same of keyboard, and it just stays there in a black screen. If I don't try to get into BIOS, I just get into Windows 11 as normal... I've looked around but I can't find anybody having this same issue as I have.. After I enabled the Secure boot and TPM2.0 the application still is not working, even thought both are enabled.. So the APP does not work and I can't go to Bios to check it. I have a Ryzen 5 5600x Palit Gtx1060 6gb DDR4 16gbx2 Corsair Vengence 3200 Kit Gigabyte x570 Gaming X motherboard, F36 Version of Bios. ( All worked before secure boot was enabled) The error message is displayed after enabling both Secure boot and TPM enabled (image 1) Computer specificaitons (image 2,3,4,5,6) Any help or advice would very.. very be appericiated.. Thank you very much. ( I hold shift on restart button to get into bios normally, or spam del or f12) If I don't boot in bios, my pc does not freeze on black screens and the mouse and keyboard does not disable lights.

Hello, I am having this problem where my pc is randomly having weird buzzing sound when im wearing my headphones. Also, my pc is randomly having black screen and whenever the black screen will occur, the screen will freeze first then it produces a weird buzzing sound then the black screen will appear. Whenever the black screen occurs, my monitor shows no signal display. The lights of my keyboard and mouse also shuts off when this happened but the lights and fans of my pc is still on. Lastly, everytime this problem occured the EZ Debug light of the CPU in my mobo is turning on. So I guess the CPU may be the culprit but I would like to know if someone is also experiencing this and if there are possible solution for this problem. Straight Power 10 500w gold 2pcs m.2 ssd (WD Black and Kingston NV1) Fixes that I've tried: - Changed the motherboard - Changed the rams - Changed the GPU to a same model but different brand - Disabled the global c state in the bios since I've read a post where we have similar issues and it is said that it fixed their pc by doing that. - Changed my power plan to Ultimate Performance - Reseated parts of the PC (CPU, RAM, cmos batt)

Since last year I've been running a framework laptop with a 2080 ti in a razer core X egpu, it's been fiddly with its fair share of issues in the past, but I had gotten it to what I thought was functional until I moved last week. Since then I have not gotten it stable and over 90% of the time it will crash within a minute or two of starting up, but rather than a full crash both monitors will go black except for the taskbar and it will be unresponsive yet I will still be able to move my cursor around, requiring a restart. When it does this both fans on the card ramp to 100% speed and the led logo goes dark. Intuition tells me this means there's a display issue, but I can't figure out anything that's changed after the move. I've checked all the connections, reseated the card multiple times, downloaded latest drivers for both laptop and card, and tried a different port on the laptop, nothing seems to fix the issue. I need help! The only possible lead I've got at the moment is that when I've been able to put load on the card, memory temperatures stay pegged at 109C which seems hot, but I don't know how to bring those down, and asking if it's a problem has received mixed answers.
