Hi all, I've been trying to save up to build myself a new rig for a few years now, but I've always had some unexpected stuff to spend money on like my car breaking down and such. Also, I only got more familiar with PC gaming hardware since I discovered the Linus Media Group Youtube channels around December last year. So now I'm gearing up to buy all the parts I need for my upgrade at the end of November (Black Friday is the 29th). I was wondering though, Black Friday has really started to become a thing here in Belgium (although still not nearly as huge as in America), but I don't know if Cyber Monday is also gaining popularity. So I was wondering if there are any people here from Belgium / The Netherlands / Germany who can offer some advice if I should buy on Black Friday, or wait for Cyber Monday instead. I don't want to risk waiting and missing out on better deals because Cyber Monday hasn't kicked off yet over here. I will buy most of my stuff on amazon.de (there is no Amazon in Belgium) but I'll keep an eye on other sites as well to see if there are better deals elsewhere. Currently I have the following parts in mind, feel free to suggest improvements but my budget will be quite strict (I'm open to similar parts if the prices for my choices aren't dropping very much though). My current rig is in desperate need of an upgrade (I'll also be submitting an entry for the ROG Rig Reboot but don't want to put too much hope in that). Any advice will be appreciated!

Hi, so Black Friday is coming and I'm building a PC, not strictly for gaming, but I'd like it to be able to do so in 1080p maybe in the future at 1440p. I also will be using for crunching numbers, I do some Sales Analysis for Purchasing Forecasting for multiple stores from a central distribution center, so 8000 sku database with sales data combine with excel is the main use for the PC, and Casual Gaming. The question is rather simple, is it worth to choose the new 3600 over the 2700x, knowing that it will be 169.99$ vs 199.99$. Is it good enough the 3rd Gen Ryzen, even with 2 less cores? I'm trying to build something that's not going to be obsolete in a year an a half from now. But also I don't want to break the bank if it's not necessary. Here is the list that I'm planing: PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.7 GHz 8-Core Processor ($169.99) Motherboard: ASRock B450M Steel Legend Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard ($69.99) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory ($69.99) Storage: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($97.59 @ Amazon) Video Card: ASRock Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB CHALLENGER D OC Video Card ($369.99) Case: Phanteks P300 ATX Mid Tower Case ($39.99) Power Supply: EVGA G5 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($69.99) Total: $887.53 Any recommendations?

Hey guys, I've had a 1080ti for about 2 years now and have been stuck at 1080p 60hz until today. I decided to buy a 27 inch 1080p 144hz g- sync compatible motherboard from Costco, it was 70 dollars off coming to a total of $179 everything was fine (man 144hz is amazing), up until it wasn't... Lines started appearing on the screen and then it started ghosting really bad, I was playing bo4 when it happened. I recorded the events and then closed the game hoping that everything would stop. But the only thing that happened is that it turned green and white and completely froze up. I didn't know what to do so I unplugged the monitor I thought leaving it plugged in would cause prolonged damage. About and hour later I tried it again and it was the same problem upon the monitor turning on. So I need help considering what to do (assuming the monitor is broken) 1. Retun it or 2. Go through the manufacture warranty I have attached the link to the monitor and the videos of the monitor. Hey everyone. So I'm looking to get the iPhone XS Max on Black Friday this year and was wondering if Apple, or anyone who sells iPhones, launches a sale for these. I've heared that they gave out gift cards with every purchase last year, but I'm specifically looking for something like "20% off", which would actually make a nice difference. I live in Germany but if you know of any sorts of offers that would help.

I would like to make a PC soon, does Amazon have good deals on computer components for (so called) Black Friday or Cyber Monday? I would be buying basically every component needed to make a computer, so I would like to save as much money as possible. . .

So i have had my eye on a Newegg bundle deal during black friday which has an Intel i5 9600k, MSI Z390 Gaming Edge AC, and call of duty BO4 for $369.98. seems like a killer deal because without black friday pricing it would be $500.00 for those three components. Any thoughts would be appreciated, or if you have seen a better deal for similar bundles. here is the link to that page in the ad https://blackfriday.com/ads/black-friday/newegg/20

This is a PAS about the horrible experience I'm STILL having with Newegg. Purchases are being declined because of "incorrect" card info, and customer service is at 4 hours on hold and counting after quoting me 35 minutes. Chat-based customer service said "we're sorry for your inconvenience no less than 7 times and then tried to get me off the line without actually addressing the issue at all. This was over a 40 minute conversation. As for the "incorrect info" my bank and credit card providers assure me that, after double-checking my accounts, everything I entered was correct and that "any retailer should be able to accept payment" from me. I have now cancelled $800.00 worth of parts from them and will be looking into Micro Center and Amazon when their (better anyway) sales hit. Save yourself the hassle and do the same.

Best laptop under $600 (US) [Black Friday]
jordenski posted a topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
I'm looking for a laptop with great battery life, that can handle video editing and light gaming. I live in the US, and my Max budget is $600. Thanks in advance. -
I'm looking for a good laptop with a sub 1000 Dollar budget, mostly for light video editing but I will have to take it on the go a lot. Would you recommend buying a laptop from ebay which is considered new/manufacturer refurbished? and what laptops would you recommend overall in the price range?

I've really been looking hard at finding a good deal on a laptop / 2 in 1 for Black Friday and I am having difficulty. I want: i7 with 6 cores 12 threads 512+GB SSD 16GB RAM 13 to 15.6 inch screen (smaller is better) 2 in 1 model preference Under $1,000 --------------------- The dilemma is that I want at least an i7-8750h processor which is a 6 core 12 thread model. Majority of laptops with this processor are gaming laptops, therefore the price is in the $1400+ dollar range (on sale). I don't need a gaming laptop with a dedicated GPU - just wanting a 6c/12t processor is putting me in a completely different category. The other option is just settle for the 4 core 8 thread CPU, which the most common and current seems to be the i7-8550u or i7-8650u Which will allow me to get what I want, but I'm really sacrificing the CPU. I want the CPU so it lasts and stays up to speed with future models / generations. I am not looking to do heavy workloads, really mostly just spreadsheets, PDFs, web, etc and entertainment. Should I just settle for the 4c/8t CPU to actually get what I am looking for - a 2 in 1 under $1,000..... OR - should I spend an extra $500 for a gaming laptop that I will not use to its full capabilities.... HAH, yeah - I think that answers itself. Finally - Do you think I should buy online on Black Friday - or will I find a better deal on Cyber Monday? I've never really got involved in the shopping crazes during these times. Thank You for any help!

Hi all, I've finally finished compiling a list of parts for my next build! I don't buy PC parts often so I'm wondering how impactful black friday is on the prices of parts? I'm building from scratch (minus the storage), so I want to know if there are any parts I should wait for Black Friday for or if I should take a deal I find now? Thanks ?

I was wondering if it is a good idea to buy a rift (or maybe a vive) this black friday? Would there be a good deal on eather headset and is there going to be another PC rift (not standalone) headset any time soon? Thanks in advance for the responses.

Hi all! I am looking to buy a GTX 1060 for my first PC build. I was looking at the Asus Dual Fan 1060 for $300 USD. It is on sale at newegg for $270 and I was wondering If I should buy it now or wait until it is actually Black Friday. That leads me to my next question. Does newegg have bigger sales when it is actually Black Friday? Are there better sales on Cyber Monday? Help! Thanks

Anyone got any recommendations/deals for damn good wireless earbuds that sound amazing, kinda sporty, holds onto the ear without falling off easily (like JBL reflect), and doesn't break the bank of a student? I remember last year when LinusTechTips posted a link to an amazon link for the Senheiser HD 598 CS, Was the best purchase I've done for a headphone and they're perfect, but, It's really annoying to take these headphones with me everywhere because it fills whole bag leaving no room for other stuff, Now I'm looking for something with similar quality to JBL Reflect and wireless too. (I once had JBL Reflect but the 3.5mm can get easily damaged with heavy use and running everyday, Great quality, terrible cable reliability IMO) So, please share here what you guys have and if they're on sale do share them here, and if you think that you would change, which brand/product would you go for? Would love to hear what your suggestions ***excuse the language***
