When I go to turn on my pc the rear and cpu fan both start spinning but the front 3 fans don’t spin but the light turns on, the beep sound that occurs is 1 Long beep and 2 short beeps and I have tried to reseat the ram but that hasn’t solved anything and I found that if I press the reset button it makes the beep play, I have no idea since this is my first pc please help. ps. The cpu is the Ryzen 5 5600g so it has an igpu so the build has no gpu. 72430331838__650B1BB8-E2E9-41A8-B724-776349259871.MOV

Hello, I'm very stumped with this issue and would love it is someone else had some thoughts on it. I recently built a computer for my girlfriend using some new and old parts. I reused a PSU, ram and some storage. All of the parts reused where farmed from what was working HTPC. The issue: The computer randomly (independent of the task being run) will lose video output and then reboot. When this happens 5 beeps can be heard followed by pause and another beep(as the PC restarts). (see video) Things I've already checked myself : It's not a heat related issue as the issue still occurs when the PC is idle. I used to have a much newer 32gb of ram in this PC but I replaced them with the current 16gb ram to discard ram issues. Tried reseting the CPU as well. I've tried looking up what the beeps can mean but what I'm finding is pretty broad anything from CPU, PSU, GPU, RAM and Motherboard issues... I'm not a new building a PC from scratch, again. My gut tells me it may be the NVME that could be the issue (probably the oldest part) but I'd rather not replace it until I have some evidence to this being the issue. (money is tight at) I've tried running the windows built in drive test with no issues found. Here are the main parts: ASRock B450M STEEL LEGEND (reused) AMD Ryzen 7 5800x (new) GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6800 XT GAMING OC 16G (new) Corsair Vengeance RGB 16gb RAM (reused) EvGA 750w power supply(reused) VID_20231006_144157.mp4

Beeping.mp3 Hi all. I have a PC which I custom built myself in February last year. Here are the current specs first: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU AMD Wraith Prism CPU Cooler MSI RX 5700 XT OC Mech GPU MSI B550 Gaming Plus Motherboard Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 16GB dual RAM kit EVGA SuperNova 850 G+ PSU (Previously was a Seasonic S12III 650W PSU) Sabrent Q4 2TB NVMe SSD Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD Lian li Lancool II Mesh RGB Case, with add-on Lian li ST120 3-fan pack to fill out the case (Previously was a MUSETEX MS6-HB case from Amazon) Lately I noticed there is a beeping noise that comes from my motherboard, seemingly the area where the RAM is, and it's continuous. 3 second beep, 2 second silence, and repeat. The noise has absolutely no affect on my performance that I am aware of, it is simply an annoyance. The PC powers on fine and runs fine and I game on it regularly. I can only hear it when I have my ear right up next to my PC, and I have to listen for a few seconds to kind of tune into it. The noise persists while my PC is fully powered on, no matter what I am doing, and when in sleep mode. I have not heard it while the PC is shut down even with the PSU switch on. This noise persisted both before and after my PSU replacement. I first noticed the noise after getting the new Lian Li case, even before getting 3 more fans, and I figured the PSU was the cause but apparently not... at least I needed a better PSU anyway so it wasn't a waste. Today I reseated my RAM, just for my PC to turn on but no display, and the EZ Debug LED was stuck on CPU. I once again reseated the RAM, and upon boot I received a black screen telling me "Memory Overclocking Fail" and to press F1. I do not remember intentionally setting my RAM to overclock. I noticed in BIOS A-XMP was set to profile 1. I'm not very knowledgeable in overclocking, I do not want to do it, and after quick research I decided I'd set that A-XMP to just be disabled. PC now boots fine, but once again, that noise persists. If it's nothing to worry about, then I will leave it as is. I do not believe it is a beep code as it is just rhythmic and consistent, and I doubt it's coil whine because it's not a steady whining sound and it is not loud by any means. The noise may have existed even before I replaced my PC case, but I would not know. It was a coincidence that I ever noticed it to begin with. I simply have never heard of PC's having a consistent, non-harmful noise; usually it is an indicator of some kind of underlying issue... but I have yet to experience an issue.

Hi all, I'm experiencing a strange issue. My computer has zero issues booting, running browsers, and preforming most all tasks. But once I decide to run a game, Elden ring or tarkov for example, I'm assaulted by near constant beeps from what seems to be the motherboard. I've dug around looking for beep codes it could be, but the variation is to great to line up with anything specific. I get long beeps, super long beeps, sometimes super short beeps, everything in between. My CPU does seem to be running a bit hot, 60-80 degrees Celsius, but it has never shut down due to overheating. I re did heat sync and thermal paste months ago and the problem persisted. Open to literally any suggestions, the games run fine, the computer boots, but its ridiculously annoying and must mean something. Specs: Mobo: Tomahawk b450 max CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

Hi everyone, rookie here. I kind of have a prob, here's what I know - I switched to an nvme storage and suddenly, my computer started to make error beeps at boot and then reboot and it's good to go. It doesn't occure every time though, most of the time it boots just fine. - I don't think it's ssd related because beeps are 1 long + 2 shorts, I checked and apparently it is a graphics error code. - I started having some crashes after long sessions of gaming. I took out my GPU and put it back, didn't quite solve the problem. After investigation, it has occured to me that it could potentially be a PSU issue: my PSU is 6 years-ish old and maybe it is starting failing. Therefore it could fail providing power during high loads such as boot or long gaming sessions. Might be wrong though. There it is guys, it's a long post but I hope you can help, maybe you had similar experiences or suggestions about what it could be ? Thanks a lot

i just took a screen snip and draw something then it starts beeping, im pretty sure this is not a hard drive failure because last time i hear something like this it was a hard drive failure. But its not a hard drive failure because i just replaced the hard drive like a moth ago and the beep sound is faster than the hard drive failure beep sound. The cursor is stuttering and it doesnt respond any input. So whats the problem, should i do something or change anything? OS : Windows 10 20200722_162933_001_001.mp4

Hello interwebs, Listen a Friend bought a "dead" Alienware M17X R3 for 100$ Core i7 2620QM 16gb DDR3 (4x4) 128gb ssd 500gb hdd, GTX 460M 1.5gb , that the seller stated that it was dead as it didnt want to power on and all it did was Beep 5 times, well, he bought it and send it to me, after googling a while i found out that those beeps were related to a dead CMOS Battery wich was changed and the laptop booted no problem 5 months after, my Friend bought a GTX 770m (wich is indeed supported and sold as an upgrade kit on official stores like Eurocom) but right before the card arrived the laptop began with thoose 5 beeps again, we tried the new card and its the same did ALL the mandatory trouble shooting ETC, even tried brand new CR20 batteries, but still the computer does those 5 Beeps, OR, just Boots into the bios with no image at all not even to an external monitor (and it does with both gpus and igpu) so.. we also tried a different cpu ram hdds etc, any insight?

Hi All - looking for some help I just upgraded from [2x4GB of G.Skills Ripjaws] to [2x8GB of Corsair Vengeance LP]. Both the previous RAM and current RAM run at 1600mhz with 9-9-9-24 timings. The new Corsair RAM appears to be working fine @ 11-11-11-30, but if I turn on XMP profile1 to achieve the above stated timings, the system emits 25 short beeps then fails to POST. The RAM is compatible with both the motherboard, processor and everything else in the system. * Pervious set-up works in XMP * I have tried disabling CPU turbo boost * nothing in the build is overclocked * I have tried resetting all BIOS settings to default Specs: CPU: i5 4690K MB: GA-Z97MX-Gaming 5 RAM: 2x8GB of Corsair Vengeance LP Any help would be greatly appreciated, else i might have to send the memory back

I have a Gigabyte GA-H110M-A, and Ive got everything set up correctly but the thing is, whenever I try and start it up, it beeps for 5 long times then shuts down and restarts. This is looping. Ive heard that its because of Ram? " Hey guys i solved the problem. I bought a brand new gigabyte motherboard with 2 kingston ram sticks at 2400 MHz. I had that issue, 5 long beeps and the the system restarts. It was because the ram modules are listed like 1-3-2-4 and if you dont use your 2 sticks with 1-2 and 3-4 it makes that beeps. Hope it helps." Not sure what I means but would be Awesome if someone were to tell me.

So i build a scrap system out of an older Lenovo m58p workstation, changed the CPU to a Intel Pentium e5800, HDD to a 500GB WD drive and added in a Sapphire Radeon HD 5450 1GB graphics card. I also have only 2 GB of RAM and a Windows 7 running on it As i was turning it on, it seemed like the system was in a continues reboot cycle. It turned on, fans spinning at max speed, and then turned back on and so on for three more times. Then the motherboard started beeping. 4 beeps, 2 beeps, 3 beeps, 3 beeps. The machine turns on if the graphics card is removed and works normally. I checked the BIOS and set the mobo graphic chip setting to Automatic and PCIe only. The same thing happened in both cases. The port on the motherboard is PCIe x16 and should work. The power supply also seems adequate with 230W.

Hi everyone, when I press the power button on my pc I get 5 beeps then it shuts down and tries to restart itself. I have reseated the RAM but to no avail. I've done a quick google search and it would appear that it is CPU based.I built the computer nearly 5 years ago and haven't had any problems so I don't think it is a bent CPU pin or seating issue. Computer Freezes and Beeps When I Use The Mouse
The Red Dead Pixel posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Hello First time poster here. I built my first rig last summer and it went well (except forgetting to screw my motherboard in), everything worked. Few months later my computer starts acting weird, turns out one of the RAM slots on my motherboard was broken, I did not want to send it to the pc parts store since that would've taken a long time so I just used the other 2 RAM slots instead (1 & 3). Everything worked fine after that. Now recently my PC has been freezing but I can still use the keyboard and the mouse moves but doesn't do anything and it moves with much lag. I guess that's no really freezing but whatever. There are also beeps that come from my headset. They beep when ever I move my mouse or click anything. I have to shut down the PC with the power button. (English is not my first language, sorry for the weird wording). Now I have noticed a pattern. It usually happens when I plug or unplug USB devices. I have updated my BIOS and use Driver Booster 3 to keep my drivers up to date. The freezes can happen up to 2 times a day or not at all. Can somebody please help me. Intel Core i5 6600K ASUSTeK Z170-K 8GB DDR4 GTX 970 Thanks in advance -
I've been having a problem with my system in the fact that when I start it up the fans and LED work, however the monitor screen shows nothing. I've tried many ways of fixing whatever the problem is: Switched monitors, Ram, PSU, GPU. Thought I could fix the problem without referring to the beeps, however now I am out of options. The MOBO is a MSI P55-GD55, and when it starts it emits 3 seemingly long beeps. I've attached an audio file of the beeps, can anyone recognize this. Though MSI uses AMI BIOS there is no error for 3 long beeps, however there is one for 3 short beeps, but these do not sound like short ones to me... Are they short and it is just a problem with the ram or is this something mysterious? http://www.filedropper.com/beeps - Link to the beeps it may be a bit quiet.

Hello there, I have a weird issue for a couple of months now, when I boot my PC there are 2 beeps: https://soundcloud.com/tiriyon-continium/boot-beeps Nothing is doing anything weird, but the beeps themselves are unsettling. I remember I had only 1 beep (the second beep heard in the recording). The mother board is : Gigabyte H77-D3H rev 1.1 Now I am not certain what causes the POST warnings, and I am not sure which POST warning to follow (AWARD, AMI etc..) and what they mean. What do you guys think/know? Other specs: Processor- i5 3470 GPU - AMD Radeon HD 7770 (Sapphire) Thanks in advance!

Hello! So, I just built my new PC that I got for Christmas two days ago. After installing Windows 8.1 onto the system and beginning using it, I have been hearing a triple beeping noise at random times usually within every half an hour to an hour. I have no idea what's causing this, and Google isn't providing much help either. Here are my PC Specs: CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler Motherboard: MSI Z97S SLI Plus ATX LGA1150 Motherboard Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Storage: Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.D 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card Case: NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair Builder 750W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro (64-bit) Wireless Network Adapter: TP-Link TL-WDN4800 802.11a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter Case Fan: Corsair SP140 49.5 CFM 140mm Fans Case Fan: Corsair SP140 49.5 CFM 140mm Fans I am absolutely clueless, but my friend says it might be from the motherboard, however it's playing through my headphones. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

So 4 beeps in an AMI BIOS mean this - 4 short System timer failure- The system clock/timer IC has failed or there is a memory error in the first bank of memory. I don't quite understand it. What should I do to fix this ?

Hey guys! So my friend has an Hp Pavilion HPE H8-1114 desktop pc and wanted a graphics upgrade from the gt520. He went and bought a 430 watt and a 750 without asking me and asked for me to install it. At first I thought it might work, but i was a little skeptical. As I installed it i put in the psu and kept the old gt 520 in there and it worked perfectly. Then, i put the 750 in and it went to the hp load screen and it said "press esc to go to setup" etc. and then i got the beeps. 1 followed by 3 fast beeps. I called evga and hp and the support wasnt helpful at all and i think that the newer 750 isnit compatible with the mb. I updated the bios from the hp sitwe and it still didnt work, but i noticed the bios were last updated on feb 6th 2012. 2 years behind so im guessing that its a compatibility issue and im thinking of just getting him a 550ti 1gb because another friend has the same pc and got the 550ti and it works like a charm. any thoughts? thnx guys!
