Okay, so I've got a rather poor situation here. I recently bought this motherboard. Not so recently that I can return it, though. It has no built-in wifi, so I started using a powerline adapter. It was...bad. It would cut out randomly at times, and the speeds were worse than my wifi. So I returned that and got a PCIe wifi card. The speeds are better, but it's still a bit inconsistent and can't handle live streaming like my old motherboard with wifi could. Both were about $40 and from TP-Link. I've heard negative things about them, so is it probably that I need a better product from a better manufacturer? Could it be that this motherboard is causing the spikes, a.k.a. just inherently bad? Any help would be much appreciated.

I tend to come to this website to vent a lot of my frustration with my ISP, Comcast, and have gotten a LOT of backlash about it saying "You don't know jack about anything" or "You're overreacting". 1: I know what this is about because Comcast is rated one of the most corrupt companies as of typing this. 2: I'm not: You'll see why in a sec. I pay the premium of $80 a month for 75 MBPS Internet (Rip-off, I know!) and every now and then, Comcast likes to throttle us to make room for all the "Comcast Business Class" services around my house (I live around a lot of businesses). When they see businesses, they see $$$, so they make them a priority and us normal folk are left in the dust. Take a look at the speed I've dealt with for almost a week (It seems a LOT slower than it is.) Yeah. That's corrupt business for ya! I went to customer support and complained and as my last topic that I took down due to all of the negative crybabies, I got that nasty sarcastic tone. The "We are unable to accommodate this" and "I'm not obligated towards that". That first one may seem like it was nice, but if you read the context of our conversation, you would agree with me. She also got an equally sassy "Engineer" (Probably another liberal arts bachelor degree-toting lunatic) who got fussy with me because I wanted to return my AIO Modem / Router Combo (Review by me HERE) and go with a standard modem and pfSense router. He said my "Package accommodations are not supported by this", when I literally just have regular Internet and nothing else. He started stating the "bad things" about pfSense and that it can "Void Warranties", even though he didn't state to what and how. I just hung up after that. In all, Comcast is a disgusting, leecher company and intentionally rips people off. The Internet and TV are WAY too expensive and the TV boxes they give us break down every other moon, so I get to make my trips back and forth to a Comcast service center now and then. I hope those who intend to switch to Comcast read this and STAY AWAY. I also can't change ISPs because COX has been too lazy to get their service down where I live and Comcast just has the Benjamins rolling into them.

This is a very quick guide to understanding what mouse acceleration is! Ideally, so you can develop muscle memory you want your mouse movement to be linear. Mouse acceleration means that the speed at which you move your mouse on the mouse mat affects how far it moves on screen. Instead, you want your mouse to move on screen the amount of distance you moved it on the mouse mat. For example, if I move my mouse at 1m/s for 5cm (yes I know it's a big mouse mat) I want the distance I moved the mouse on screen to be the same as if I moved the mouse at 2m/s for 5cm. If you have mouse acceleration, the distance at which your mouse moves on screen is determined by how fast you move your mouse on the mouse mat rather than how far you moved it. This is bad! - because it makes developing muscle memory much harder.

Hello guys I built my first gaming rig about a year ago and I am really enjoying PC-gaming. My PC has always worked fine, but after I returned from my England-trip, something was wrong. Here is a list of all the things that are "wrong": -3dMark score of ~7000, before over the Oculus score(~9000) -Intel xTreme tuning utility doesnt let my change my frequency anymore although it worked before and I have a 4690K -when launching CSGO, the game freezes 50% of the time -random GPU chrashes, afterwards MSI Afterburner shows a GPU clock of 540 -only 90 fps in CSGO, before it was always limited at 144 by Gsync -If I right click on the desktop, there is a long "freeze" -Somtimes my games freeze, blackscreen and then there is a GPU error, then Shadowplay doesnt work anymore, after I restart GeForce Experience, it works again. -Chrome has CPU usage of 100% -generally really low performance I hope somebody has an idea on whats going wrong.?

Yo guys ! Let me walk you trough my system: Rampage V Extreme, i7 5960X, 64GB of DDR4 RAM, SLI 980ti, AX1500i with a custom watercooling loop. I'm usually video editing and streaming but I got a pretty poor performance in casual games like League of Legends. Is it normal at maxed out settings that the fps go down as much as 100 fps? Can you please help me? In other games I get like 80 fps (gtav at max, 1080p) and other games are over 60fps clearly at max (witcher 3, rocket league, h1z1).

So I was helping my friend to upgrade his computer, he bought a new gtx 950 GPU and some 500w PSU. After instalation we started testing the PC and we got bad fps and freezing in games like CS GO and minecraft... So what should i do? I installed all the necesery drivers etcetera, could it be some problem with OS and the new parts or is the CPU bottlenecking the system? he has a AMD A10-6700 APU. Thanks for your help

I am curious. Why do people consider the Corsair PSU's as bad-quality PSU's? I'm not knowledgeable enough to know why, so hopefully a few of you could answer. =) Also, why do you suggest a certain type of PSU instead?

As the title said. I'm willing to buy this monitor, but I'm still curious. - Is it worth the price? - Is it Primarily for PC / Consoles? - Is it an TN or an IPS panel? - Are there any recommendation (with around the same price) besides this monitor? - What are your thoughts / review about it? Please help me on this, ty

Hello! This is my first post on the LTT community forums. I noticed that my Radeon HD 7990 has been way worst than when I first got it and is worse on the benchmarks that I have seen for the card. I have Crossfire enabled, MSI Afterburner says that GPU 1 and 2 are both at 1000 Mhz while gaming. The temperature stays around 76 degrees celsius. At 1080P and Ultra graphics setting on the Hitman: Absolution benchmark I get an average of 44 FPS, a minimum of 32, and a maximum of 56 FPS, I ran this benchmark multiple times. Star Wars: Battlefront Beta got around 80 FPS on low without the AMD Catalyst BETA drivers. It would sometimes stutter and go down to 50, but that was rare. My Specs: AMD FX 8320 @4.3 GHZ Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 7990 (of course) Motherboard: AsRock 990 FX Extreme 4 12 GB RAM Corsair TX 850 PSU OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit Storage: Sandisk 240GB SSD (OS, GTA V, Dying Light) WD Blue 1TB HDD (Games and files) Random 400GB HD (Videos) I did try dusting my computer and reinstalling the graphics drivers, but that didn't do anything. I don't know my power consumption. Thanks, Ferret

Warning: This will be lengthy and with my luck probably never be solved. Okay, I really hope this will be my last post regarding my trashcan internet, but probably not. Anyways, I've tried to remedy the internet problems I've been having with my new (well new when I started the first thread anyways) build. Here's the first, second and third threads which I've already created. Taking a look at those might help you answer my question here. TL;DR: I bought a motherboard with no onboard wifi. Running at Ethernet cable to this room is NOT an option. I bought a $40 TP-Link powerline adapter. It worked terribly, with speeds much lower than what I get with wifi in the room and random blips and stutters of lag. Returned that, I then bought a $40 TP-Link PCIe wifi adapter, which I'm still using. It had the exact same issues. Someone told me to reinstall the drivers in Windows 8 compatibility mode because for some reason TP-Link has no driver support on this thing for Win10. I did that and everything was briefly working well. Speeds exceeded what I used to get when I used a machine with built-in wifi in the same spot, and the blips were very nearly gone. That was around two weeks ago. Now my upload speed remains consistent as it mysteriously always is, but my download speed has worsened significantly, and I'm getting more and more of the all too familiar blips of high ping for a few seconds at a time. It culminated tonight in a game of League of Legends which was rendered unplayable and extremely frustrating (because I thought JUST MAYBE I finally got this in somewhat decent working order), right after which I am writing this. Sometimes the blips are just a bit annoying, but other times (usually later at night) it becomes as bad as it just was, making games almost unplayable with constant fluctuations from "pretty decent" level ping numbers (35-70) to "I can't move and I can't hear you guys" level ping (hundreds, occasionally altogether disconnect). I have also noticed that again my upload speed literally never changes, but the download is also worse at night. My question: Should I return this wifi card and try something else? I really can't spend more than $50 here so I just don't think there's a better option, but please let me know if you have one. Also, do you think the problem could be my router? The sheer randomness and instability makes me think that maybe my router is dying? I don't have the specs on hand right now but I could get them if necessary, but I know it's pretty new and somewhat high end. Basically what does it sound like is the problem? I have no idea if this is enough info to actually diagnose anything so let me know if anything else might help. A special thanks to anyone who actually takes the time to go through this and help

Hey guys so I've recently been having a problem with my connection to the league of legends servers and some other servers. When I speed test to a server about the same distance away in Pennsylvania I get about 35 ping and 18.xx down which is really good considering we have 20 down speeds through our isp and I'm on wifi so I don't believe that the wifi or our network setup is the problem. When I speed test to any Chicago server I get between 140-180 ping which is what I'm getting on league of legends although it can actually be even higher sometimes. What is causing me to get such high ping? I'm pretty decent on computers, but my internet knowledge is limited so some help would be much appreciated.

Got my mom an LG Optimus G Pro a while ago. Everything went well back then so I didn't really checked on her phone at all. Recently went on a family trip and noticed her phone ran dry rather quickly as she complained quite a bit while we were out. Upon closer examination I found out she only had roughly 2.5 hours of screen on time! This is definitely not right. As I have never dealt with such problems before I need advise on how I should tackle this problem. If this helps: I can provide more info if necessary. All suggestions are appreciated thanks!

So I just got a 850 G2 to replace my RM850. Switched on eco mode and off I went testing out the PSU. Interestingly, with 980 Ti SLI overclocked with 110% power limit. The fan never spun in a 3D Mark test and a Unigine Heaven run. That's good and all, I had to configure some things, turned system off and turned back on. The fan suddenly started spinning, it stopped a few seconds after windows booted. But omfg, the fan was LOOUUD. Louder than two 980 Ti Strix running at 43% fan speed (1300 RPM). So I switched off the system, switched eco mode off, and started system back up thinking maybe the fan just ran at full speed for whatever reason. Nope, the fan is just as loud. Is there something wrong with my unit? I would never have expected a PSU fan to be this loud. All my last 3 PSU didn't have fan noise louder than the entire system. Should I request RMA? Or is this apparently normal?

The One M9 Review Part II at AnandTech Goes Really Bad for HTC http://anandtech.com/show/9137/the-htc-one-m9-review-part-2 Well damn. This is as bad as it could have gotten for HTC. People should be allowed to expect improvement over time in mobile devices, but the M9 has demonstrated palpably worse performance than the M8 in a number of areas. The Galaxy S6 is going to whoop the M9 in the butt so bad that I'm genuinely fearing for HTC. I miss the glory days of the M7, a phone whose worst quality was the two buttons instead of three. Farewell HTC. We knew thee well... Opinions? (Edited title - originally was a bit too extreme)

Hey, When I'm building a new pc, I need windows... I can buy it here (netherlands) for 120 euro's or buy it for 27 euro's on kinguin.net, however this is an OEM version. Are there any drawbacks of this version of windows, except for the fact that there are no useless instructions?
