So i came up with this PC that someone made and it is on sale for $515.92, but i want to have your opinions on this PC (yes this costs $515) CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 1500XMOTHERBOARD : ASROCK AB350M HDVRAM : TEAM ELITE PLUS red 1X8GB 19200(2400Mhz)SSD : PIONEER 120GBVGA : SAPPHIRE RX550 2GB GDDR5PSU : ANTEC NEO CLASSIC 80+ BronzeCase : Cube Gaming Savora +fan I can sell some parts later on so i can change to Asus X370, add 1TB HDD, Give RX 480 and better PSU 1. Budget & Location Indonesia, where it is kinda the typical place where you have high taxes so new parts aren't considered around Rp 10.000.000 / $800 2. Aim Virtualization Machine, and Gaming Machine Simulation Games at 1080p 3. Monitors Samsung FHD Curved TV, will probably get LG 27MP59-G for $260 later on 4. Peripherals Just a G403/402 Mouse and G213 Prodigy Keyboard (#Logitechfanboy) 5. Why i am upgrading? My current System is 1. Core 2 something CPU 2. Asus P5G41T-M LX 3. 350W OEM PSU 4. 1GB DDR3 RAM 5. 160GB HDD (will reuse this since it has an original Windows 7) 6. PixelView GF9400GT I can actually spend less by modding my current motherboard so it can fit a LGA 771 Xeon, but since my demand is Editing and Lightweight Gaming. Also how much do you think the old system can be sold? Thank you Guys

Using Ryzen 5 1600, MSI B350 Tomahawk Arctic. I set core core multiplyer to 38, that’s the cpu at 3800 MHz. I also set XMP to my second profile, which is what my ram is rated at (Corsair vengeance 2666 1x8gb). I said save and exit. Screen wen black as normal. However, after waiting a few minutes, the PC didn’t restart, no restart cycle as normal. I just pressed the power button until the PC turned off because I didn’t know what else to do. The fan LEDs went quite bright for a moment before it turned off. Now when I turned it back on again, all the fans spin as normal, but there’s no signal. No error lights are on. im on the latest bios I think, what should I do??? EDIT: The problem, along with marked best answer, was that I didn’t set the memory timings correctly it seems. Anyone with a similar issue should clear their CMOS, and carry on after checking what their memory manufactuer has as the tested timings.

My First Build 1. Budget & Location I am in London, planning to buy components from ebuyer.com. My budget is 600GBP. 2. Aim I intend to use my system for gaming and light CAD. I would like to play PUBG, CSGO, Wolfenstein: The New Order, and if possible Battlefield 1 at 1080p. I need to be able to run SolidWorks to work with small to medium assemblies, no need for simulations. A bonus would be rendering capabilities. I don't believe I use CAD software enough to justify a Quadro or Firepro. Having an SSD is more important to me than having a huge amount of storage. 3. Monitors I have 1 24-inch (1920 x 1080) monitor and don't plan to add more. 4. Peripherals I do not need to purchase peripherals 5. Why are you upgrading? This will be my first PC build. Currently I have a MacBook Pro Retina that I run bootcamp on. Here are the components I have chosen after research. Any criticism, recommendations and advice is appreciated. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/MFHnYr Do I need more fans? Is anything overkill? Will my CPU cause bottlenecking? Even if overclocked? Is my PSU appropriate? Thanks for your help.

Hi, i happen to have a pc with a ryzen 3 on a MSI B350M Pro VDH that i want to overclock. Through the Ryzen Master everything works just fine, but whenever i try to manually set the voltage in the bios the pc wont post and i have to clear the cmos by remooving the battery and holding the powerbutton. A bug obviously but the bios is the latest and is didn't work with the previous bios version eighter. I can go to 3.4ghz (manually set) with auto voltage (up to 1.231v with max llc) and ram @ 3200mhz no problem on the bios, its really just the manual voltage that is causing trouble. -------------------------------- Edit: Problem solved by BIOS-Update.

Hi, I'm looking for some tips on buying 32GB DDR4-Ram for my R7 1700X on an ASUS PRIME B350-PLUS. I want at least DDR-2400 maybe even faster, im using the PC for gaming and a lot of VMs, thats why i need at least 32GB. Hopefully you can recommend me something that works, since the Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400Mhz (CMK16GX4M2A2400C14) i bought first didn't work at all. Thank you for your help and greeting from Germany, Fredyy

So recently I've bought my R5 1600 and MSI B350 Tomahawk and with that, I got a 16GB (8x2) RAM kit from Team T-Force (I will link the RAM at the end of the post). When I assembled the build and tried to boot up it didn't work, after searching on the internet I found out that R5 1600 with Tomahawk tends to have problems, but I managed to solve that issue, and now only one of my sticks of RAM is working. Any pieces of advice or did you have same or different problems? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA65C5UC6270&cm_re=team_dark-_-20-313-793-_-Product

Hi I'm in the market for a specific motherboard the asus rog strix b350 or x370 and I want to make sure I'm using a high-speed RAM for my games. I saw a review that someone said the b350 did not boot with 3200 speed Ram and later said they got it working through overclock settings. I want whatever I buy to work Straight Out of the Box so should I be worrying about this or should I just buy a high-speed Ram with low delays and rest comfortably knowing it will work correctly

Hello, I'm going to build a Ryzen 1700 PC very soon. I'm planning to overclock it to around 3.9 GHz 24/7. I have two options for the motherboard. B350: Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3 [Newegg] X370: ASRock Fatal1ty X370 Gaming K4 [Newegg] I want to make the build less costly. So I prefer the B350 board I mentioned. My question is, can it take the load of overclocking? Or should spend some more money and go for the x370 motherboard I mentioned below? Which one is do you suggest in terms of VRM, Memory compatibility, and price/performance? Also, should I look for an after market cooler over the stock cooler? [Please don't suggest any other board because I only have these two options.]

So building a new Ryzen 7 rig today and the most disappointing thing happened, no POST after completion! I'm using a b350 PC mate MSI motherboard, which has Ez debug LED's, and on boot the fans spin up and lights on the MOBO and GPU light up, but the computer doesn't post and has the CPU debug light a solid red. It hasn't boot up yet, and I've tried resetting the CMOS, re-seating the 8 Pin CPU header, and re-seating the CPU itself. Are there any other potential fixes other than replacing the CPU itself? Let me know if you need any more info.

Hello all, I have been banging my head to find the root cause of the audio stutters, fps drops, freezes on my new PC build (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cxMqFd). The mouse pointer also lags even when pc is idle. I am not sure if the PCIE2 slot is bad or if the PCI-e controller in CPU is bad. This lag/stutter happens ONLY when the GPU is seated in the PCI-E 3.0 x16 Slot (PCIE2: x16 mode) slot. I am using ASRock AB350 Pro4 Mobo btw. When I re-seat the GPU into PCIe 3.0 x16 Slot (PCIE4: x4 mode), the lag/stutter go away and gaming is smooth. Below are the things that I tried to find root cause when GPU is in PCI-E 3.0 x16 Slot (PCIE2: x16 mode) slot When LatencyMon is ran when PC is normal, the ISR and DPC numbers (nearly 25000µs) are high. Results are below. I have tried everything possible solution provided on the internet to fix dpc/latency issue but nothing fixed my problem. Things I have tried: 1. Windows 10 reinstall and disabled driver auto update 2. DDU nvidia drivers and reinstall only GPU driver (didnt install HD audio driver or anything else) 3. Install Ethernet driver from mobo vendor & install latest ethernet driver from manufacturer 4. Tried installing Realtek audio driver 4. Disable HD audio driver from device manager and disabled HD audio from bios 5. Disable C-states from bios 6. Disable HPET from bios 7. Set gpu and system at max performance 8. Set dynamic tick command (cant remember the command) 9. GPU and CPU temps are normal ~80c and ~45C under high load respectively. The HD audio device is disabled when the below LatencyMon is ran, (Mobo version of Lan driver was installed, GPU and pc are at max perf) LatencyMon results in Imgur album - https://imgur.com/a/11fme LatencyMon stats PS: I know that I lose about %4 of performance when 1080 is used in x4 mode instead of x16 mode from this post, So i really want to get to the bottom of this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hello everyone! I'll put the build here first, you can read my story later if it interests you; CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Mobo: Asus Prime B350M-A RAM: crucial 8Gb DDR4 2400mhz single stick PSU: Cooler Master Masterwatt lite 500W GPU: Zotac GTX 1060 amp! Edition 6gb Case: Cooler Master Masterbox 5 Total number of fans: one chassis and one stock cpu cooler. This is my first gamer build that I purchased after a year of saving (well, actually 9 months but let's call it a year for dramatic effect)up for. I have built cheap workstations for my office before, but this was my first time working with premium (read: not run of the mill) parts. I have never worked with amd before so this was an entirely new experience for me. The mounting of the wraith spire cooler was nerve-wracking, but I gotta say it looks a lot more elegant and cool than Intel stock solutions. I will be upgrading the RAM to 16gigs in the future. Also, I will be getting a fan controller because I didn't look up how many fan headers were provided on the mobo before I bought it (hint: there's two). So I will need the fan controller for 3 additional fans which I will be mounting in the front of the case. I also intend to install a 1tb hard drive in the near future. Please give me feedback on my build, how I can improve it, and what kind of gaming I can expect from this setup. Thank you, you lovely people P. S., I will be posting pictures tomorrow, I don't have them on my phone at the moment and it's 2.30AM in the morning

- Remember back in the day a set of Gskill Ripjaws V 16gb 3000mhz-15cas just for 85$ - Well since they day of Ram apocalypse, now a day price can go as high as 135$... and that is 50$ more - So you better get a 2133mhz or 2400mhz which hover around 115$-120$ and OC it - With recent Glory come back of AMD, Ryzen processor hungry for Ram speed thank for AMD genius 2 CCX design. - So what is the best bang for buck come to OC lower clock ram with B350mobo to achieve the best ram speed for Ryzen 3000mhz/3200mhz - Long story short what is the minimum ram requirement for me to OC to 3000/3200mhz with b350mobo?

So I recently purchased a b350 tomahawk, and a pair of corsair 4gb rams 3600mhz, me wanting to reach higher speed tried the "try it memory" function on the motherboard, at 3200mhz for a couple of different latencies and the pc will still reboot properly after failing to boot for 5 times, however, this time round when i tried to set the speed to 2933mhz, the mobo didnt turn off, and I had no singnal on my monitor, so I decided to restart the pc by holding the power button, after that no more signal could be detected by the monitor, and the mobo seems to be running alright.

Hey, so I just finished building my PC but it doesnt start ... no fans kick in, no Motherboard LEDs, just a small light at the graphics card is lighting up. Im pretty sure everything is in the right place, I checked the Power Switch connectors like 5 times, Mobo power connector is connected and the ram is on the right spot. Please help guys. https://ibb.co/h9syra https://ibb.co/iSjiPv

Quick question: Is that only difference between X370 and B350 the SLI support? I've been thinking of getting a Mini-ITX Ryzen motherboard and I can't seem to understand what justifies the higher price on the X370 motherboards. Are there more extensive overclocking controls on there too? Does it hve anything to do with PCI-e lanes?

Hello everyone, AM4 mobos are my somewhat hobby, so i am happy to bring you new mobo from Asus. This will be probably the best mATX choice for R3/R5/R7 with no OC because it will most likely have the same VCore VRM as Prime B350 Plus and Strix B350-F. Onboard features are extremely similiar to Prime B350 Plus as far as can tell. Source: TechPowerUp

I just built a Ryzen 5 gaming pc with an MSI Gaming X 1060. I've been having a few issues with it. I have Installed and updated Windows 10 fine and updated the bios to the latest version. I've also reinstalled Windows twice. After using the computer for a while, about 20 mins, the system reboots. No warnings of a restart or anything as if I'm pressing the reset button on the front of the case. All fans are spinning normal speeds, CPU and GPU temps in control. I've been scratching my head at this for a couple of days now. Need any help I can get. Build: CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 (stock cooler) MoBo: MSI B350 Tomahawk ATX GPU: MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X 6GB RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000 (2x8GB) PSU: Seasonic 520w

MSI B350 Tomahawk Arctic vs asrock ab350 pro4
Hidoi posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
ASRock ab350 pro4 - 185 BGN MSI B350 Tomahawk Arctic - 221 BGN or even MSI X370 Gaming Plus - 240 BGN. Which one is worth it the most and why(bios support, stability, vrms etc) ? Are the 55extra really worth when comparing the ab350 vs x370(19 extra from msi b350 for sure are) ? Even though x370 is better for overclocking and future proof probably,I don't plan on overclocking the r5 1600 for now. P.S. Here are few others I can choose from: Asus PRIME b350-plus - 198 BGN Gigabyte AB350 - gaming 3 - 221 BGN ASRock AB350 Gaming K4 Fatal1ty - 208 BGN (from what i found its basiclly red colored pro4) -
I built my Ryzen system almost 3 months ago, it's been great so far, but I've decided to overclock it for MAX PERFORMANCE! I have a B350M Gaming Pro from MSI and I'm using the stock cooler. I was able to OC it to 3.6Ghz on auto voltage, it runs at 55 degrees and everything is smooth. Others on the internet have been able to get up to 3.8 at least. So what do I do? Am I just maxed at 3.6 due to the mobo or am I doing something wrong? I have the newest bios installed.

Good evening I am looking for some much appreciated valuable advice please. I currently have a 1155 build so I will be using my existing case, GPU and PSU amongst other HDD's etc. Asus ROG Strix B350-F & AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU & Motherboard Bundle - £277.93 Ballistix Sport LT 8GB (4GBx2) DDR4 PC4-21300 BLS2C4G4D26BFSB (Grey) - £86.39 960 EVO MZ-V6E250BW 250GB M.2 NVMe - £116.92 GeForce GTX 970 Asus Strix 4GB GDDR5 - Already own £481.24 $635.16 usd $802.89 canadian Rupees using 2 x GD245HQ 120hz 24" mainly using for CSGO but some modern AAA games. General workstation and some (a little) video work. Had the CPU for quite a while and i feel like a upgrade. have i overlooked anything at all? i am unsure of the performance on Ryzen of single RANK memory. over dual and one further over a single stick over 2 sticks. my understanding is i would also not see the benefit of high clocked memory as the advantages of these are only seen within high end GPUs. any thoughts on my parts list please? Thanks Rich

Link: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132988R&ignorebbr=1 Newegg is having a clearance of sorts where a lot of things are getting sold for cheaper. I spotted this mobo in the list. This is arguably one of the best b350 mobos out there and for $77 that's a pretty good deal. The sales end TODAY so if you want it you should go quick. Hello guys, It's my first time posting in linus tech tips forum. I was just wondering, if you would build a Ryzen Pc would the RAM be an issue. I mean if the mobo that you've chosen doesn't support the memory that you pick in the mobo's website will it still work? Because I'm aiming to build a kinda streaming rig that could also render things, that's why I would like to know if there would be an issue when it comes to picking RAM. Thank you guys in advance on looking unto my problem. My plan of parts: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/hHdfqk

I have just completed a new build with the following hardware: Ryzen 7 1700x MSI b350M Gaming Pro G. Skill Flare X 2x8 3200Mhz Corsair H100i EVGA 650w BQ Gold+ BIOS IS CURRENT Win 10 Pro 64Bit I'm currently using an old ATI Radeon 4650 GPU while I save money for my 1070. THE ISSUE Upon completing the build, the PC worked perfectly. Bios was updated, MSI drivers (chipset, HD audio, etc.) installed, Windows was installed, played a few games of LoL. The following day I powered down and removed the cables and MOBO to install standoffs on the case. Replaced all cables and powered on. THE MACHINE WONT POST I get a CPU fail light on the MOBO EZ Debug LED
