What is the beast B350 motherboard for Ryzen 5 1600X around 150$. I will do some overclocking so heat sinks on VRMs would be good. mATX or ATX is fine.

Hello, Recently I purchased the MSI B350M Gaming Pro after my Asus B350 PC Mate died, Was luckily able to salvage all other components, But I soon noticed after Just Cause crashed that half of my 16GB of RAM was being hardware reserved, After a few months of frustration and googling I discovered that one of my RAM sticks was clocked at 2133Mhz and the other was clocked at, this being my theory as to why 8GB of RAM is locked, I bought the kit of 2 x 8GB 2400mHz together which is why this confuses me so much, I was wondering If there was a way to overclock one stick of RAM without affecting the other or maybe overclock both to a uniform frequency, but I don't have any overclocking knowledge, so I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions.

I just found out that my Asus B350 F board does not have the updated bios for the AMD 2400g and I am uncertain of the best path to take for updating. Option 1: Update at microcenter or somewhere similar. Option 2: Get a replacement from Asus (I haven't found anything from Asus saying they will do this). Option 3: Prove Asus won't do the above and get a boot kit from AMD. Option 4: Use my 1700x to update the bios which would require me to redo my AIO thermal paste. Probably the easiest option but I'm still curious about the above options. (Also, what thermal paste would you guys recommend? I'm not sure I have enough for this project and the noctua nt-h1 looks good).

Hey guy need some help here! I have bought 2 air cooling fans which were the: "Cooler Master TX3 EVO" and the "Count Cooler Master 212 EVO" and they both did not come with the supported brackets needed to mount the motherboard. Is there any chance i can buy a liquid cooler that has the bracket included?

I'm trying to save more money on my new rig by not spending more on parts with features I won't use a lot. Anyways, I'll be having a Ryzen 5 1600X(I don't really have a need for more cores beyond this point) and a 1080Ti . To make this quick. Provided I won't use any features of a higher end X370 board (like more ports) would I be fine with just using a reputable b350 board? Specs would be: Ryzen 1600X 1080Ti b350 board 16gb ddr4 3200 750Watt psu *I probably won't do much work that drives the cpu to 100% *Won't probably overclock Would it be a good idea to use a b350 board over an x370? Should I spend more money on a cpu cooler instead of stock (like noctua NH-U14S)? Would a 1600X be overkill for my workload? (Cad, Gaming, Light & photo editing) Anyways, thank you for taking time to answer my questions.

I just ordered a ROG Strix B350-F board on Amazon so I am unable to verify that it is already updated for the newer processors. Assuming it has been sitting in a warehouse for a while, how difficult is it to RMA a board for a bios update through Asus and how long does it usually take? If this is unavailable what is the process of getting an amd boot kit like? From what I've seen they are very restrictive about giving you one.

Hey guys, I need opinions of those who have experience with OC in Ryzen. MOBO: asus b350 prime plus, updated CPU: ryzen 5 1600X + master air pro 4 cooler When the BIOS settings are in stock, with the vcore on the automatic, I notice in windows that there are peaks of 1.52V when the boost happens in 1 core, which rises to 4.1GHz for a few moments. AMD itself says that we should not go beyond 1.45V when trying to make an OC in the CPU... Several people recommend that when trying to leave all 6 cores at 3.9GHz for example, that an offset voltage of +0.015V in the BIOS should be applied. I tried to do this to see what happened and the vcore on windows is varying between 1.55 and 1.6V !!!! I also did a test decreasing the offset by -0.02V, which left the voltage so low that windows already gives error just trying to boot. It was less than 1.15V in bios... OK, I left it on the automatic and tried to do several OCs: 3.7, 3.8, 3.9, 4.0 and 4.1GHz. The voltage is always much above 1.5V and the temperature reaches 90 degrees on stress tests. Then I installed the Asus AI Suite and set a fixed vcore for it. So vcore stopped going crazy and respected the value I stipulated, but I never got stability in the system. At 3.8 or 3.9GHz I've tried voltages such as 1.35, 1.37, 1.39, 1.415V and it never stays stable even though temperatures stay at 70 degrees on heavier stress tests. But it always ends up locking the PC over and over... What the hell is going on with this motherboard? Is it really defective? I tested 7 different BIOS versions already. Sorry for the poor english.

Hello! I am planning out a new build with a Ryzen 7 1800X (or 2800X when it comes out), an ASUS B350-F Motherboard, and 16GB (another 16GB to be added soon) of G.Skill Ripjaws V (2x8GB) DDR4-3200. The model number is F4-3200C16D-16GVGB. The QVL for the motherboard, found at http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM4/STRIX_B350-F_GAMING/ROG-STRIX-B350-F-GAMING_Memory_QVL_180125.pdf, states that that RAM is not compatible. However, this 8GB model (F4-3200C16D-8GVKB) is compatible. Being so close, is this kit compatible with this motherboard so I can have the full 3200MHz? Has anyone successfully used this RAM kit? Thanks

Hi, I did a lot of research but still can not decide on what board. I am getting a Ryzen R5 1600 and would want to overclock! I am however stuck on picking a motherboard. I am considering between the Asus B350 Prime Plus and the MSI X370 Carbon. I would really appreciate the help.

I have an MSI B350 Tomahawk. Currently I have two 4gb sticks of ram at 2133hz. I jumped the gun and bought 1 stick of 8gb 2133hz ram. I was wondering if my mobo will accept the 8gb stick of ram, or if there will be compatibility issues. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know any motherboards or vendors of them in the UK with B350 chipsets that would support a 2200G out of the box (i.e. not requiring the BIOS be updated first)? I am looking to do a Ryzen 3 build for my Dad, but don't have access to any Gen 1 chips I could use to update the BIOS and don't much feel like faffing about with having AMD send one that I'd have to return (which is apparently their temporary solution to the problem).

Hey guys, I am pretty screwed, I went home last evening, filled with joy and a Dark Rock Pro 3 in my hands, ready to be installed through the night so I could play some games again. I started unplugging my cables, lifting my PC to the desk, and opened it up. I wanted to install the CPU cooler, close it again and have a nice remaining night. But what I got is sadness and depression, as my PC just won't boot, whatever I tried. Here some information: Mainboard: Asus Prime B350-Plus GPU: GTX 1060 MSI, GTX 1060 Gainwand (tried both) RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3200MHz 16GB Cooler: Dark Rock Pro 3 PSU: Corsair CS650M I had to use a screwdriver and carefully lift up the backplate of the motherboard, as it was glued on it, which actually surprised me. It is possible, that I damaged something during the process, but I actually don't think so, as I was very careful. I press the Startbutton, and the following things happen: My LED Strip, Fan Coolers and CPU Cooler start to spin, but my graphics cards stay still. From there on I get no signal or anything else. It just stays that way. Using my HDD Led at the Speaker Pins won't do anything and I do not own a small speaker for those purposes. I can buy one though! What should I do next? I was about to try the "Zeromethod" (Don't know if it is called that in English. I am refering to "Nullmethode") Do you guys have any other ideas? Thanks. #Excuse my grammer, I only have 4% left on my phone for the next day and wanted to be quick

I Want to buy Ryzen 3 2200g as it's a biggest change coming.I love the concept where AMD came with the Vega Graphics.Iam a E-Sports player and for me 2200g is good choice. But I have a Laptop And I am building my first gaming PC and the news now came that without On-board Bios Update We can't use the Ryzen 3 2200g. But I know if I have a amd processor then First I have to Update that then put my new 2200g. But I am a budget gamer I don't have any Amd Processors and this is my First Build. So I Want to know the Fix of this Problem. And I live in India where no Hardwere shops want to update motherboard and give me. So according to that what I have to do to run this Processor ??? I only want this Processor.

Greetings, I've recently encountered a problem with my desktop, which I built nearly eight months ago and it has worked perfectly since then, where I am able to power on the system but it won't boot. It appears to not be posting, as the CPU led light (that would indicate that something is wrong) goes on immediately, and there is no video output. Every light and fan is working. The specs of the system are as follows: Ryzen 5 1600x Noctua nh-u12s se-am4 EVGA GTX 1080 Corsair vengeance lpx 16gb (2x8) at 3200 MHz Gigabyte ga-ab350-gaming 3 EVGA 650w gold modular 120gb SanDisk SSD 2tb Toshiba hdd Windows 10 I am asking for help because I have not encountered any forum with a person having the same problem, where the computer was previously fine but stopped functioning properly even though nothing has changed. I don't believe that any component is broken. Here is a list of what I have tried so far: Clearing CMOS by connecting jumper pins and removing battery Checked cable connections Re-seated ram, using only one stick, and changing slots Tested power supply to reaffirm that it's functional I have never updated or even touched the bios, nor have I ever overclocked anything. The only websites I have ever visited are moddb, and some Pearson homework websites (although I doubt those could cause anything like this). The only possible reasons I can think of are that I screwed up by shutting down the computer while windows was updating in sleep mode, or the CPU or Mobo is actually defective. I would hope that this wouldn't be the case after the system was working for the past 8 months. I apologize for the lack of brevity, I'm trying to give as much information as possible. Thank you all for reading and any responses, I will be quick to answer all questions or try any suggestions.

I’m starting a little ECC server build around the new Ryzen 3 2200G APU. Need help choosing a motherboard. ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY: Proper ECC support (running in non-ECC mode doesn’t count) 5+ SATA ports OR 4+ SATA ports + 1x M.2 slot Good long-term stability / reliability PREFERRED: Small form factor like microATX 4 RAM slots cheap MSI and ASUS BIOSes do not support ECC so they’re out. I’m not overclocking at all, but ECC support seems to be more common on X370 boards and maybe on higher end B350 boards. OPTIONS: ASRock AB350M Pro4 MicroATX $75 ASRock X370 Killer SLI/ac ATX $100 BIOSTAR X370GT3 MicroATX $108 ASRock X370 Gaming-ITX/ac Mini ITX $140 The ASRock boards look perfect especially that $75 mATX BUT on newegg and amazon they have some longer-term reviews claiming system instability after months of use. It’s unclear whether the reported issues result from morons with failed OCs or if there is actually a flaw with the motherboard. The Biostar looks fantastic, but I can’t find any long-term reviews on it. Thank you for any input. (And yes, unlike a lot of the reviewers, I know that I will need to borrow an older CPU from AMD to flash the BIOS)

I am building a pc and need a mobo for R3 2200G.I am planning to get a MSI B350M PRO(https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B350M-PRO-VDH) or B350I PRO(https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B350I-PRO-AC/Overview).Also it would be better if it is compatible with the APU out-of-the-box (and/or) causes no bottle neck.

ive heard some board makers will update the bios to one of the more recent versions as they send them out. i want to know will the ryzen 5 2400g work in the asus prime b350m-e out of the box? just ordered the board the other day, and dont want to need to get an older chip and an overpriced gpu just to get the board to boot. if the 2400g can work out of box then i can wait for gpu prices to settle back down and still somewhat play games and use the system until then.

Hello everyone, I have a strange probleme. I built my first computer a month and a half ago using a B350 pro series mother board and a Ryzen 5 1600X CPU, everything booted well. Now today I decided to finally do some cable management, at the end I put the cables in there proper places, but it won’t boot up. A red led for the CPU lights up every time. I tried everything, unplugging and replugging ATX and CPU power and also my ram cards. I even changed the CPU power cable, Nothing works. Could someone help me.

Hey guys, I recently grabbed a Gigabyte GA-AB350N-Gaming-WiFi motherboard off Amazon for a planned Ryzen 3 2200G build. However, I picked up my CPU today at MemoryExpress and when put it in, the board will not POST. Everything else is definitely good and tested working. I realized I need to update the BIOS in order to use this CPU. Is there a way to do it instead of buying a Ryzen 3 1200 or an A series APU? Unfortunately all my friends use Intel or AMD FX so borrowing one is not possible... I know ASUS has that BIOS FLASHBACK thing that saved my a$$ a few times, wondering if it’s possible on the board I have right now. Cheers!

Hello guys ! I am getting the Ryzen 5 1600 and just cant decide on a motherboard yet because I'm going Matx and there is waaay less options than ATX . I'm going for a red/black color scheme with Trident Z 3200Mhz Ram so even less options.
