I took Slick's words seriously during E3 and I emailed Origin; and got my answer: Basically, as of right NOW they don't see themselves selling the cases on their own. Although they have seen a rise in purschases of basic, stock specs as owners sell their kits online and keep their case. Quote from e-mail:

I'm not the best at this techie stuff. Not the worst, but it's one of those questions that I can never find out on researching alone. Is disabling cores bad? How does it work? Does it physically turn off those cores? Same with threads. Just to save some power, I'm planning to disable hyperthreading. Will it make my 4 threads weaker than my other 4 that I don't use? Does it wear out 2 cores? I don't want my CPU to be lopsided.

Hey Guys, So recently a thought went through my mind "Dude you gotta buy a smartphone~". Yeah I know I'm little bit behind on owning devices although I have been following the news about all the devices thanks to LTT and few other channels and at first I was sure Im going for the HTC ONE (M8) (~750$) it has great specs and an microsd slot!! but mostly because of the metal design the camera is pretty much a disappointment tho, anyway later that month I found out about the OPPO FIND 7(~600$) holy frack ~same specs, bigger screen, nice look, swappable battery, fast charging and on top of that "QHD" 2k display DAMN! and its also cheaper then the HTC ONE (M8) ! BUT its going to be my first smartphone and I don't want to go crazy and waste all my money going to fast into the smartphones game so I had to look cheaper and yes I found the ONE PLUS ONE although it doesn't give me a storage expansion slot and doesn't have the amazing 2k display it gives me everything that I need to get into the smartphones game with great specs that are on pair with the latest smartphones + great design the price is amazing ~350$ so much cheaper then other high end smartphones that I have decided to get it! Many of you probably know that the company went for an invite system yep ONE PLUS ONE EQUALS INVITE SYSTEM >< and I don't really have a problem with that well maybe a little bit well actually quite alot!! Anyway let me know what you think about that invite system and about my decision to buy it. Also if anyone knows the fastest way to get an invite to buy the ONE PLUS ONE let me know please or if anyone has an invite that he might be able to give message me please. Thank you

And the shit goes wild, that is a new 10 minute trailer taking a look at the endless Watch Dogs possiblities? My impressions? Amazed, but I even discovered some secrets/easter eggs in the actual trailer. At 7:12 minutes of the videos when Aiden opens up a menu of his mobile you can actually see a logo that upside down looks like an 8-bit representation of the Assasins creed logo. And in Characters section in the corner of the video, when you meet that short haired girl, you can see a Illuminati tatoo on her chest? WTF Ubisoft, you too?

Heyo LTT'lers! So, from the 3rd to the 4th of may there's a Star Wars Marathon "near" my hometown in a cinema. They will be showing all the movies (4-6, then 1-3) in a row in the night. The tickets cost 30€/person and i had to drive 1.5h back and forth. Do you guys think its worth it since i already own all of the movies on Bluray, it just doesnt give the cinema experience at home. Have a nice day all! Edit: The event would go from 22:30 on may 3rd till 13:30 May 4th.

Hello all! So I'm giving the beast an upgrade. I have 2 grand [+/- 200 dollars.] as a present for graduation that was given to me for the express purpose, of a computer. Now, I already have a pretty killer machine, for one monitor... The issue being, I have three. So, I want to use the money to beef up my computer. Originally, I was going to watercool, but I'd rather have a monster, that is a little noisy, rather than having the same ol' thing, that is quiet. I made a PCPartsPicker list of my ideas, you can give me your feedback (preferably), the parts listed as already purchased, are my current rig, and anything I ignored shouldn't matter, and can be assumed I already own. If you need more information, let me know. Here's the beast. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($319.99 @ Amazon) CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($94.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: Gigabyte G1.SNIPER 5 EATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($231.50 @ Newegg) Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory (Purchased For $0.00) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (Purchased For $0.00) Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB Video Card (3-Way SLI) (Purchased For $0.00) Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB Video Card (3-Way SLI) ($553.98 @ Newegg) Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 3GB Video Card (3-Way SLI) ($553.98 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Corsair 1200W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($299.99 @ Micro Center) Total: $2054.43 (Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.) See the countdown here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/solid-state-drives/ssd730series.html This thing is insane. DNA Certified, and you can write 70GB of files every day for 5 years before it fails. It can sustains read/write speeds of 550/510 megabytes a second! Talk about legendary reliability. Of course, only from intel. Inventors of SSD's, masters of SSD's.

http://www.theverge.com/2014/2/20/5430784/project-tango-google-prototype-smartphone-announced http://www.google.com/atap/projecttango/ So here's what I got from this: Google wants to beef up their Map service, but they know that they can't do it alone, so they're having us help them, which I don't necessarily mind doing. I mean, precise directions from location X to location Y? That's the whole point of Maps, so this is just a way to make it even better. Oh, and think of all of the AR gaming possibilities with this... As of right now, this is just a prototype phone, so it's not like it's an app or something, which is interesting, because it could be, at least I think it could be. I dunno. Maybe whatever technology Google is using in Project Tango will be implemented on other phones in the future. So what do you think about this?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2552589/The-real-life-DEATH-STAR-US-researchers-developing-laser-powerful-Earths-power-stations-combined.html What?! That's just simply crazy, the amount of power. So researchers around the world are building this, 1023 watt laser. Personally think that this could help change the way we see the universe as well, but who knows what we'll find? This could be revolutionary... What are your thoughts??

So, my step-dad ordered an Apple TV for his iPhone so he can watch movies on his TV in his room from our NAS. Well, he forgot that he made his Apple account back when we lived somewhere else and hadn't changed the address since then. When he realized it was being shipped to the wrong address, he called Apple customer support and let them know. So they sent a redirect, but the Apple employee said that they don't always catch them, so he would send another Apple TV to our current address just in case. My step-dad then asked what he should do if both arrive (the redirect working). Like, should he send one back, or what? Well, the employee said "No, you can keep both." So, we might very well get two Apple TV devices for the price of one. Due to an error on our part. [insert title] Just thought I would share this, because I feel Apple gets a little too much flak sometimes for being "premium". Sometimes premium has it's benefits. Note: I've heard similar stories about Alienware's customer service (i.e. giving out free upgrades when things break) from people on this forum. So yeah. Similar situations have happened there as well.

Hi guys, Recently, I tried to dye a Noctua fan black. That failed. However, I broke the fan in the process. I believe the problem lies in the fan cable being broken. My idea is that I should cut the 3-pin cable off and put a new one on (either via soldering, or re-pinning). My question is simply, "Is there an easy way to test the fan bypassing the cable?" Like, what would be the best way to go about doing that without actually putting a new cable on, so as to avoid the extra work in the case that it is broken fundamentally? My idea would be to split the cable into each copper strand and connect the positive and negative to a power source (12 volt battery) to see if it works bypassing the broken part of the wire. But I'm not sure what wire is which or what to do with the ground. If it weren't a Noctua fan, I wouldn't either believe it was repairable, or worth it. But they are expensive and rightfully so due to their durability/performance/lack-of-noise. Thanks, Vitalius

Hello, I've built a system in July of 2013 i think it's pretty good (apart form the case which deeply disappointed me) and it sure as hell showed its power. Here it is: CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k GPU: EVGA nVidia Geforce Gtx 780 3Gb MOBO: Asus ROG Maximus VI Hero SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256Gb HDD:WD 2Tb RAM: Corsair Vengance Pro 16Gb 2100Mhz Cooler: Corsair H100i PSU: Corsair AX860 Case: Cooler Master HAF X All of that cost me about US$2000 at the time which for me is a great deal because i live in Brazil where a system like this costs roughly US$7000 Please leave your sincere thoughts on this system Thank you

Chuck Norris couldn't let the volvo ad of Van Damme doing the splits between two moving trucks go unchallenged, so less than a day ago he showed how a real man does the splits... Which everyone knows is between two airplanes, with a bunch of soldiers in full combat outfits on your head... This thing is epic! It has 3 servos per leg (most have like 3-6 per whole system). I have never, ever seen a platform that has such great range of motion.
