Hey Guys, this is Aus... never mind But jokes aside. I need help with my really basic application (Music player if you want to call it). Im creating basic music player with functions like PLAY, PUASE, NEXT, PREVIOUS. I have 2 "screens" one screen is list of all *.mp3 files and the other is actual player with buttons. I have them kinda separated that means that when I tap one music file in the first screen, it opens the second screen and starts playing music. But what I would love to have is actually some kind of "sliding" tabs. that I would have 2 tabs at the top of application one callled "LIST" and one called "PLAYER" and user would be able to slide throw those to screens or tap one of the tabs. As a attachments I have got JPG1 with is the actual look of player and the second is JPG2 list of song, then the TABS picture is what I would love to have but I cant find any solution for it without "reprogramming" the whole stuff. Thank you very much! PS: Code of that application is written in MainActivity and WoM attachment. THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP!! WoM.java MainActivity.java

So I'm setting here with my laptop disassembled, and I'm trying to decide on he best way to reapply my thermal compound. All I have is IC Diamond which by my experience is the most difficult to apply as far as good coverage. Anyone have some good advice on applying to CPU and GPU dies in a laptop?

I use the Steam in-game FPS counter for most things, and it's great. It's small and out of the way and I like it. However I need to use something else for pretty much any other game that doesn't have built-in options for it. I have to use GeForce Experience's FPS counter for Origin games, although Overwatch does have its own counter, and other Blizzard stuff really doesn't require a counter. But the GeForce Experience counter is big and green and ugly, and I can't find any way to mod it. I don't want to use someone else's ugly counter or download yet another monitoring/capturing application like MSI's, I don't want to use the ugly in-game one for many (but not all) Origin games that also includes frivolous information besides FPS, and additionally I don't want a monitoring application that shows a billion different stats from your system. I just want a small app that will run in the background and only tell the FPS. Is there anything like this or at least a better solution than Steam+GeForce Experience? China has an army of gamers, PC gaming is on the rise, we have RGB RAM. Why isn't this a thing?

Hey guys, I'm having this problem that when I play a game with my EVGA gtx 970 graphics card that it sometimes (fully randomly I think) crashes with a random colored screen and says " 'current application.exe' has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware and that's it. I went back to the place where I bought it they said that the card is perfectly fine but when I got back for me it's still crap. I reinstalled everything and really everything on my PC and still does this. I tried like 20 different drivers from latest to 2016 ones and still happens. And the most forums that I read they said it's because of faulty RAM but I don't think so because when I gave in my card for testing I used a 1080 for like a month and 0 problems.

Hey guys, First time poster here, but I need help. I have been looking on the web for a personal finance program and I have read bad things on just about everything I find. I know a lot of people say Quicken right off the bat, but I heard they switched to a subscription based program. There are those free apps like Mint and Acorns, but I hear they have issues syncing to bank accounts and it can turn into a huge inaccurate mess. I heard that YNAB got worse since and their support is bad. I just need something that either syncs very well with Union bank or that I can upload the bank files too or that is easy to use and I can manually enter everything. Any suggestions?

I recently upgraded to a GIGABYTE AB350 gaming 3 mobo. It has RGB lighting and can SUPPOSEDLY control all the RGBs in a system including the mobo and fan lighting. I can't find any instructions on how to download or set up the software, and the app has even fewer instructions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there, so I was thinking of changing my calendar app on my phone(android) from the basic app and that made me curious on what the community is using for their phone or PC. Doesn't matter if android, apple, or windows. I'm just curious and if you add why you prefer that app it would be great.

Does anyone reckon we will ever get an LTT Forum App? That'd be so awesome, like push notifications to the device it is on...how hard would be to make something like this? I think it'd be really cool?

I dunno if I'm doing something wrong but I can't find any information about implementing node.js on existing projects. I have a website, and I want to implement some realtime update of some kind. And node.js looks like the right way to go... It's a fairly big site so don't wanna start from the beginning...

OK so this is just a weird question I've had on my mind for a while but nobody could answer. It goes like this: If you have two monitors connected to the same system and had different independent graphics powering a monitor each, and then you had a windowed application that is rendered by the GPU and split is across the screens what would happen? If anybody could answer would be great help

So with the launch of Windows 10, end user license agreements have changed dramatically. Microsoft is attempting to to change the way they are selling their software - not as a product, but rather as a service. Microsoft account integration, Cortana, DirectX 12 being exclusive to Windows 10 are just a few things power users aren't too happy about. And lately, there has been proofs of Windows 10 trying to connect to Microsoft's serves without being given any kind of instruction to do so. This raises questions on whether the software you bought can be considered your property, or even safe/private enough to be trusted. Many people decided to jump ship for this particular reason. In 2016, casual computer users will find most of the software that works on Windows work on Linux aswell, or have an open-source alternative, but there are still certain programs that have neither Linux port or open-source alternative. The purpose of this thread is to point out the kind of software Linux lacks the most and educate the LTT community on open-source alternatives Linux already supports. Hopefully this thread can help open-source developers understand the needs of Linux community and/or extend the list of alternative software on the amazing thread by rashdanml. The rules: No games or drivers - it is too simple to point out all of this software and too hard for the open-source community to actually write proper alternatives (DRM). Maybe in a separate thread. Try not to point out software that has a Linux alternative which is not just as functional. That means open-source community is aware of the need for software of such kind and is working on it The lower list will be updated as LTT community posts their suggestions I might decide to add a rule or two in order to keep conversation constructive The list: Flawless Widescreen MSI Afterburner Text-to-speech applications DaVinci Resolve Please, leave a comment about what you would want to be ported over to Linux, so we can improve the list!

Article from Pocketnow Blog entry by Microsoft It's about time they make it available as a public beta. I've been using the unfinished app since it was leaked out and have been depending on APKMirror for the updates, which was a bit of a hassle. I hope Microsoft will improve Cortana's app launch speed. Totally looking forward to that one. Link to Cortana for Android beta program And I just found out that it's not available here in Canada. Bummer.

Ever wanted that nice volume wheel on your brand new k70 to only control the volume of a certain application? Well you found the right post! alo it will work with any keyboard that has volume buttons/wheels. its not k70 exclusive but i wish it was built into the software. Only thing i don't like about it is that it will open the volume mixer when you first change volume. As long as you don't close it out or minimize it the mixer wont pop up and interrupt you any longer btw this is not my original work. I just adapted it to work better. Here is where i most of the source : http://www.autohotkey.com/board/topic/56889-application-specific-sound-control-for-windows-7-rev-101/ Script: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jnvv2omebcmu7u1/VolumeControls.ahk?dl=0 Compiled version if you don't want to install AHK : https://www.dropbox.com/s/kjwr4hzbdkxkdhz/VolumeControls.exe?dl=0 To have it run at startup in Windows8.1 put script/compiled version in folder shown here : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2806079 To change the application it changes the volume of find and replace all "Spotify Free" with the name it shows up as in the volume mixer. For example foobar would be foobar2000. To change how fast it changes volume find "{Up 2}" and "{Down 2}" then replace the number with how fast you want it to change volume. Higher number=faster but less precise changes. Enjoy!

Hi, I just found the windows 10 setup files on my ssd, however the upgrade application says that I should wait till it notifies me that it is ready.. Is it save to execute setup.exe? Btw, it seems like the folder was downloaded 19 days ago?! Weird.
