Have an SLI setup and tried playing Apex Legends but got poor performance? Then look no further! So I have a 1080ti SLI setup and when i first launched the game upon release, i had immediately noticed that the utilization of GPU2 was minimal (Had the MSI Afterburner overlay enabled) I immediately recalled a time where this had once happened to me before... TITANFALL 2. Anyway the default SLI profile that nvidia runs on the game sucks. Maybe they'll release a driver update in the future with a profile that increases gpu utilization but for now you can try this: 1. Download Nvidia Inspector https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/nvidia-inspector-download.html 2. Extract all the files in the Zip to a folder of your choosing 3. Run the nvidiaprofileinspector.exe (make sure it's ran as administrator) 4. Click on the settings box located next to the driver version (image shown below) 5. Click on the Profiles bar at the top and locate Apex. As there's no profile currently defined for the game, it'll be named via it's directory such as: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Apex Legends\r5apex.exe 6. Now on the SLI compatibility bits line, click on it's SettingValue (should be 0x00000000 by default) and change it to the above. 7. Once done, click apply and you should be good to go! This gave me a huge fps increase in the game and hasn't given me any issues thus far. Let me know if this does/ doesn't work for you, I'm curious! P.S Sorry about the poor quality screenshots, I'm not on my home PC as I type this fix out and mostly recalling the steps from memory Hopefully this solution works for you as it did for me

Why do some apps alt-tab differently than others? For example when I alt-tab in Fortnite it brings up the preview windows/thumbnails, Whereas when I alt-tab in Apex Legends it takes me straight out of the game Along with that, when I alt-tab in League of Legends it brings up the old ui with the icons. Is there a way to make all apps alt-tab like the way it does in Fortnite? Thanks

I'm incredibly new to the PC World and not too seasoned in forums so forgive me if this is poorly composed. Lifetime console gamer but was recently gifted a pc to play games on with a buddy. Since then I have been trying to get decent at it and learn what makes up a pc and how it all works. That being said I really don't know much yet. But I am having an issue with my CPU showing core temps running into the yellow and even red at times, and my game and sound start lagging when or if it gets into the red. Red has only happened once but I'd like to avoid it and know the causes potentially of it. What I know of/ i have: CPU: i7 5960x Motherboard: GA X99 H105 Cooler ( pretty sure) Ax1200i Power supply 3 front corsair fans in the front, 1 in back Believe its all in a big obsidian case 2 EVGA GTX 980ti in SLI 32 GB DDR4 BenQ XL2730Z monitor (1080 at the moment) Idle is mid 40's which i have been reading some places is normal it seems. But Apex Legends at mid-high settings 1080 and all low 1440 are running it well into the 75-80 range. This is mostly what I play, and I keep hearing that for what I have that's not good. So I've been trying to trouble shoot by dimming settings and resolution and changing the thermal paste thermal paste and figure out what the issue may be if any at all. Like I said I really don't know much so I don't know if this request is missing more info. My friend most recently said it may be my voltage which idle seems to be around .75-.9 which he said seems to mean that isn't the issue. I just don't want to push anything too hard or fry anything before tax time when I would be able to replace or upgrade any of it. I have to mention that I have never really had any lagging in game or in game sound wise until recently, and that was playing at low setting 1440 for the past two or three months and just recently started getting hotter. I feel I should maybe also mention that the night this first happened I had just downloaded an Nvidia update, was told I should maybe revert but haven't yet. I can explain more in comments but don't know if or want to make this too longwinded. Thanks to anyone who reads and especially anyone with more knowledge lol.

As the title suggests, when I'm playing Apex using my new headset, Creative H6, sound distorts, then crashes, screen freezes and when the screen is back I have no sound. I have the latest headset/motherboard drivers installed, firmware also. It doesn't seem to happen when watching Youtube for example. Also this did not happen with my previous headset, also from Creative. I did not uninstall the previous headsets drivers, but I don't think that matters. I'm suspecting a driver conflict maybe? Windows 10 64bit.

when i open apex up an error pops up saying: --------------------------- Apex Crash - Out of Memory --------------------------- Apex crashed because it ran out of memory. The most common causes of this are: • "Texture Streaming Budget" is too high in your video settings. Lowering this can help. • All other programs plus Apex combine to use too much memory. Quitting other programs can help. • Your Windows page file is set too small. Increasing the page file size can help. (The page file lets Windows move less important memory to disk until it's needed again.) TECHNICAL INFORMATION: • Apex was using 1.4 GB of physical memory. • Apex was using 3.4 GB of virtual memory. • Apex failed to allocate 1.0 MB of memory. • Your PC has 8.0 GB of memory physically installed. • Your PC has 128.0 TB of virtual memory (with the page file). Ctrl+C in this window will copy this message so you can paste it as text. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- and i dont know how to fix it, anyone know a possible fix?

So, I got my 8086k and 4400c19 memory kit. The last thing I need is motherboard. I've been thinking between Taichi and Apex. I know they both can handle extreme CPU OC, but who's the best in terms of memory overclocking? Which board can let you get higher frequencies? Is it worth it to pay 100$ more for Apex?

Should I buy Apex for $35? It looks really interesting and I am almost getting bored of the base Arma maps. Money matters so I want to spend it on something I will enjoy and play for a while.

Got me a Steelseries Apex and the lighting seems very weird. It doesnt seem to support every hue of color as advertised (16.8 million), Ill choose like a gold and it will stay yellow or a pink and itll be red. Also the light transition sucks. if i have it transition back and forth from blue and white it flickers. Is this normal?

This summer I bought the apex and it was working just fine until I tried to upgrade from sse2 to SteelSeries Engine 3. When I first opened the program my keyboard was recognized and it said that it needed a update, so I pressed the update button, driver started installing but when the firmware begun my keyboard lighting turned off and my keyboard wasn't recognized anymore. It pops up in windows but I can't type or do anything with it anyone got a solution ??? Sorry if there were any typos

Hello friend! Today i'm here to tell you my thoughts on the Steelseries Apex [RAW] Wired Membrane Keyboard. It was purchased from Aria PC for £29.99 + Delivery. Here are some of the main features of the Keyboard: Brilliant White LED Backlighting with 8 Levels of intensity 34 Possible macros on 17 keys with two layers Superior anti ghosting with 20 frequent gaming keys designed for up to 6 simultaneous keypresses Intergrated media keys that control music playback, volume adjustment and backlight brightness Support for Steelseries engine RRP: £60.89/$69.99/€69.99 Being my first gaming oriented keyboard, I was pretty easy to impress coming from a £5 Tesco Value keyboard to this. The macro keys are not really something that I plan on using, they are a nice thing to have. I like the addition of the diagonal arrow keys as well as the oversized spacebar, and the media keys are a nice touch. Also, one of the main selling points for me was the large wrist rest which is very, very comfy. However, the fact that you have to hold down the Steelseries button on the keyboard to use the media keys is a bit of a nuisance. The backlighting is not highly noticeable unless you are using it in the dark. Also the cable is not braided which I don't really like. This keyboard is well worth the £30 price tag on Aria PC but I think that the £60 RRP is a bit of a stretch for what it is. Here are some similarly priced keyboards from other manufacturers. Corsair Raptor LK1 Razer Deathstalker Essential Roccat Arvo Although the Steelseries Apex [RAW] is the only keyboard that I have had experience out of these four, the Apex [RAW] looks to me to be the best as it has the perfect balance of features to price. I would expect the Razer keyboard to be the best quality keyboard, becuase to quote Linus: "They're (Razer) kind of like the Apple of PC to me." The Corsair offering is the Cheapest at £30 RRP, but the price reflects the features and most likely the build quality. So in summary.. Pros: Plenty of macro keys Additional Keys Lovley Wrist Rest Cons: Backlighting is not spectacular Non braided cable Inconvenient media key operation Overall: 7/10 A great piece of hardware, but it could use some improvments.

Hi guys, I am currently using trebuchet which cones by default with CyanogenMod. I am thinking of switching to either apex or nova if its worth it. Which of these 3 launchers is the best?

First off, I put [NOT RAW] in the title because for whatever reason I had issues finding reviews of the not RAW version online :P Disclaimer: I have not had this keyboard very long so I cannot judge how well it lasts. Ok so here we go.... Look: Default it comes with a fairly outlandish color scheme for its 5 lighting zones and its 4 profiles (using the buttons) It has some very nice looking lights on the sides and corners of the keyboard that truly looks amazing in the dark, if you get this keyboard I can confidently say that you will not dislike the look. It does have a plastic black finish by the keys which I was afraid would collect prints but I have had no issue with that so far. The backlights look really bright and nice and have a wide range of adjusting through the steelseries engine (see below). Functions (Non-Normal Keys): Macro Bank: First off I will start with the bank of macro keys to the left of the keyboard, the bank has 10 keys (2 rows consisting of 5 keys each) the backlight fades from the top keys (MX1 and MX6 are the brightest at the top) and gets less and less bright until you hit MX5 and MX10, this allows for some really easy distinction in the dark and has helped me a few times so far. "M" Keys and Profile Keys: The "M" keys are four keys that change the profiles of your keyboard (and the color scheme to help tell what profile you are on) these keys are at the top left of the keyboard and are labeled "L#" (# of course being the number between 1-4. Not much to say on these, they do their jobs. Now to the "M" keys, these keys are above the F keys and are additional macro keys, you get 12 of these. Keypad: The keypad has diagonal keys that essentially just lets you push forward and left/right at the same time only using one key, rather cool and semi useful (arrow keys usually are not used in games so I haven't had much use of them, but still like that they are there. Media Keys: I really like these media keys because they go vertically rather than the usual horizontal, this allows them to have longer keys that are easy to use when watching movies (the play/pause button is the size of a shift bar going vertically) it has play/pause, fast forward, rewind, mute, volume up, volume down, volume up/down also serve as the light changing colors if you hold the steelseries key (next to alt on the right side of the spacebar). Lights: The keyboard has 5 lighting zones that you can change the color of to give your keyboard a very nice look. It has the standard 16.8 million color spectrum. Zone 1: The "L" keys and the Macro Bank (MX Keys) Zone 2: Esc key, F keys, and the M Keys Zone 3: Your normal key zone (all the letters, tab, shift, ect.) Zone 4: Number Pad, Home Key Block, Arrow keys, Media Keys, Print Screen, Scroll lock block (only 3 keys) Zone 5: Steelseries logo, I really like that you can change this color. Other: Space Key is extra large, really nice ergonomic feel. The mini wrist wrest on it (not really even sure what I should call it) is a bit small for my hands (I wear XL gloves for reference) so I had to change my normal position that I used to type on, within 24 hours I adapted fine to it, just thought I should mention that. Full shift, backspace, enter, ect. Steelseries Engine: I really was pleasantly surprised about the Steelseries Engine. It is really easy to use, remap whatever you want, disable windows key, set macros, lighting, and many other things very easily. I also have a Steelseries Sensei and it is very nice to manage my keyboard and mouse very easily. So personally I really like this engine. NON-Mechanical: I didn't want a mechanical keyboard and this is a really high end rubber dome keyboard that I really like. I didn't get a mechanical keyboard because the only mechanical keyboard switch I like is the blues and I can't stand the sound they make, and I rather like rubber dome anyway, just thought I should say this to avoid future questions :P I followed this topic so if you are thinking about getting this keyboard feel free to PM me or post here :D
