Week 38 is happening!!! This week is a standard week, we rarely get movie weeks so I just had to have one last week! Poll will be up for 48-ish hours as usual! Fairy Tail Current This series was suggested by @Trogdor8freebird saying "This anime provides an excellent blend of action, lighthearted tone, story, and even a certain kind of feels. Most characters are enjoyable to watch, and there are many of them. The action sequences are short and not as desirable as they could be UNTIL season 2 onward. The combat afterwards is intense and as lengthy as they should be, imo. It's a show that gives a lighthearted, yet powerful aura for both younger and older viewers. The show has many funny moments in it as well, and it's done better than in most shows that are primarily comedic imo. The story usually engages many different characters at the same time, even if it primarily revolves only around one or two characters. The story and the "feels" of the show give a certain radiance of a type of idealism that is both honorable and realistic to achieve. Also, I don't mean realistic in the sense that you're a wizard who can prevent powerful evil from dominating your guild, and more. I mean it in the sense through symbolism (i.e. I have this objective, I can overcome it even if it's blah blah blah, or my friend's in trouble, so I'll do everything I can to help/save them, etc.). Also, I'd like to note that this show can put you through quite the emotional ride, even though it doesn't look like it can." Karas: The Prophecy & Kara: The Revelation Movie Selection #1 This movie was suggested by @Vitalius saying "These movies are actually 6 OVAs. 3 OVAs to each "movie". The animation/CGI is kind of great, and the action is fun to watch imo. Supernatural/Action/Mystery are the genres." He does brilliant work) ANN | MAL | aniDB The Dagger of Kamui Movie Selection #3 This movie was suggested by @MoonSpot saying "If nothing else it breaks up the now normal art style(s) of semi glossy/CG characters and to revisit hand drawn old school anime. It's a bit more mature in the sense that it relies more on dialogue/story, mystery/manipulation, plot(s) and some other rather uncomfortable "things"; then flashy visuals. If you liked the original ninja scrolls delivery, you'll probably enjoy this one to a varying degree. Since the main characters past/origin IS the story, I can't bring myself to tell y'all much of anything about it. In fact I would recommend NOT reading the aniDB description but instead watch the clip in spoiler tag for the virgin experience should that be your preferred flavour. Here's the first 15mins of the english dub. I don't believe that there are any sources available that would be greater then 480p/VHS SP, so if that level of video quality is unwatchable or otherwise unenjoyable please pass this one by. Just pointing this one out more for those that would like to watch a movie rather then an entire season/series, and not as a legit submission since both availability and source quality are issues due to it's age (1984/1985...holy smokes). For what it's worth the few places that due rate this one, seem to rate it fairly highly. 1 thing to note, there are 2 versions of this film out there that I am aware of. The "Just for kids" release which is edited and the original. Original is recommended but not required. Original has more cringe potential for the viewer, of the graphical nature if memory serves. P.S. be warned. contains 80s music montage.. that's soo "80s bad" it makes me smile [edit] after watching it again, I have to change my mind about the edited version being acceptable. too many continuity issues." Oh, how appropriate for me to make a post that involves anime girls. Anonymous has been attacking various sources of IS propaganda and supporters by taking sites over, taking them down and generally being a nuisance to IS websites and profiles in an attempt to disrupt the flow of support for quite a while now. However, they seem to be taking a new, rather unusual approach to attacking Twitter accounts by mixing in Anime Girls with the propaganda in order to influence search engine results. Hopefully, searching for IS websites will just turn up a load of results for cat girls and giant mecha robots. Some of the accounts that they have managed to take over have already been taken down as a result of their actions, so it is clearly working. sending messages and updates with images of "ISIS-Chan" seems to be working. Hey guys, I want to start reading the Spice and Wolf Manga series but don't really want to purchase physical copies. I would much rather be able to read it on my android device but I have no idea where to buy it.
