Hello everyone, Before the summer holidays (in four weeks time) i would like to get myself a new pc, for of course gaming and recording. First of all my max budget is £600 and it has to include window 7 as I can upgrade to windows 10 later on. What I want the pc to be able to do is gaming at 1080p and also recording these games at 720p. Some of the games I will be playing are: Cs.go, Minecraft, Tf2, ETS2, Train sim 2015, Skyrim, Insurgency, L4D2 and ect. I would really want to play these games at 60fps, just a note. For the recording side bit, I just want to be able to record these games without any lag. I will be recording 720p so I dont think it would be an issue at all. Thank you!

hey I am looking to build a system, I am looking to get the new Pentium 'k' as I would to use to over clock and play around with until the new broadwell cpus come out but I am not sure which motherboard one to get. I like asus as there ROG boards look cool and they seem to be very high quality and are able to use the oc panel (I am a sucker for things like that). specifically looking at the asus maximus vii hero but I was wondering if i was missing something or if there was a better board, to be specific I mean in audio salution and cpu over clocking and general stability, for around the same price. Thanks

I'm sorry for polluting the forums with this post, some of the things I say will probably make you cringe. You have been warned. So about 4-6 years ago, my mother bought us an xbox 360. Why? Because she wanted to use it for Dance Central and Just Dance. When she bought it though she had got it J-Tagged. She doesn't believe in buying the games legit and she thinks pirating it is a cheaper option and it would make no difference. Now fast forward to today and it's just pretty much sitting there, collecting dust. Now i'm interested in creating an XBL account and playing online, but the second to the last thing I want is it to get bricked. Now I'm asking you guys, the LTT community, if you know if its even possible to un-jtag an xbox 360? If possible, how? (upgrading to the next-gen consoles is pretty much not an option for me right now. Unless of course you guys know some sort of way for a 14 yr. old to get some kind of decent paying job.) Thanks in advance guys.

At Intel IDF 2015, Intel has confirmed with the launch of their Skylake processors in 2H 2015 with their 100 series chipsets ready for shipment to motherboard manufactures in May of this year. Intel Skylake will be Intel's 6th generation mainstream processors, using a brand new socket LGA1151, that comes in either a dual core or quad core configuration. The processor itself will support either or both DDR4 and DDR3L memory. Note that DDR3L runs at a lower voltage than standard DDR3. According to JEDEC specs DDR3L runs at 1.35v, where as DDR3 runs at 1.5v. IMO the decision for DDR3L might be to keep in close range in with DDR4 as it runs at a even lower 1.2v. Along with the processors, are the Intel 100 series chipets. They will be 6 chipets to choose from with the enthusiast Z170 at the very top of the ladder. The Z170 chipset will feature 20x PCIe 3.0 lanes, 6x SATA 6Gb/s ports, 10x USB 3.0 (14 in total, including USB 2.0), support of up to 3x PCIe based storage, supporting Intel RST, and with partial support for overclocking on non K processors. Interestingly, the Z170 isn't the only chipset that's capable of the features mentioned, their Q170 chipset is exactly the same as the Z170, except the Q supports VPro, as it's catered towards business. Both of these chipset also supports graphic card configuration in single at x16, dual at x8, and triple at x8/x4/x4. Hello chums of the internet, About a year ago I started my YouTube channel, and after much time trying to organise it I decided to leave it on hold for my GCSE's (High school diploma equivalent in America) but, along side this, I needed a new rig to firstly game and secondly to edit the content. Any suggestions for CPU and GPU. Advisable budget of £400-£500 or $600-$750 for the two of them. Cheers, friends. And I hope you have a very nice day! ~ TheBanterlope ~ Also, should I go for the Enthoo Pro (white) or the Phantom 530 (red) - they look equally sexy, IMO, but which has a better build quality and cable management??

Well Samsung and Apple are at it again, this latest fiasco is over the newly released Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Apple is stating that 3 of its patents have been violated and it is looking to stop the future sale of Samsung’s newest phones in the North American market. The first violation has to do with the antenna band placement location on the phones, Apple made the patent claim when they released the iPhone 4s, which the new Galaxy phones share the glass back design with. Also Apple is claiming that Samsung purposely copied their design language with the new phones, stating that the button layout and design look was stolen from the iPhone 6. This isn't the first time Samsung has been in legal troubles with Apple, though this is the most aggressive patent lawsuit Samsung has faced by Apple. Apple won the last series of suits against Samsung, this time it looks like that will happen again as Samsung honestly doesn't have much of a leg to stand on. Around this time last year Apple filed suit against Razer for the design language of their Blade 2014 laptop, the case was settled outside of court and details of the final settlement are fuzzy. Apple has been known to be very aggressive in its legal action towards smaller companies. We shall wait and see what the outcome is. Source Thoughts? Comments?

ok so here goes , as of recently i got a new graphics card to replace my old failing one , i decided on a gigabyte R9-280x at the time because it was on sale. so i get it home and take it out and admire its gloriousness remove my old and hd 7950 , and slap in the new r9-280x. this is things get a bit odd , all appeared to be going good until i started to benchmark the card un-overclocked , it would just start to ramp up and kill my whole computer so far I've determined that its not overheating (idles at about 35-40c , peak temp while under average gaming load was 76c), and its got plenty of juice (825w psu) this issue seems to randomly occur only when I'm gaming , sometimes it'll be going for several hours no problem , then other times its crashing every 10-20 min of gaming any suggestions for what may be causing this? or how i could fix this weird problem? thx in advance guys and gals

So my friend's getting a laptop for school and will use it as his primary computer, so it has to have a decent enough graphics card. His parents will pay about $1200 AUD (Aussie dollars) for something. Requirements are that it has to have: Good battery life more than 128gb of storage (probably about 1tb) Have a graphics card that is atleast a gt 750 or gt 840, preferably a gtx-glass kepler or maxwell gpu (shadowplay buffer man, it's amazing) Be not 3 tons Not too big (max about 15) So what I had in mind was this laptop ($50 over but it is a great value compared other options available) http://www.msy.com.au/wa/balcatta/notebooks/13429--gigabyte-p15fv2-850-4702s-i7-4710mq-8gb-1tb5400-156fhd-dvdrw-win81-64bit-2gb-gtx850.html CPU: Intel 4th Gen. i7-4710HQ 2.5GHz(Turbo 3.5GHz) OS: Windows 8.1 64 bit RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600mhz HDD: 1TB SATA Graphic: Nvidia GTX 850M Screen: 15.6” FHD(1920x1080) LED Screen (TN) Expansion: eSATA *D-Sub *HDMI *USB3.0 *WiFi-N *Bluetooth*Card Reader*SoundBlaster Cinema*2.5kg Obviously, when raw specs are seen, some budget cuts are apparent and it isn't the lightest of laptops but people seem to enjoy using these as they have great keyboards, come apart easily for upgrading (ram, the two 2.5" bays, the msata slot and the dvd bay (which can be swapped for a 2.5" hdd)) and is a great performer for the amount you pay. It's just that 2.5kg is a bit heavy and it only gets about 4 hours of normal browsing, youtube, music etc. Thanks is advance, your answers nearly always help me and I really appreciate them. EDIT: Also a touchscreen would be nice but isn't required. PS: Also any additional information/experience related between the two mobile below would be nice: Razer Orochi: - Great asthetics and premium feel - Decent sensor - Compact with carrying case - Wired-mode avaliable for more performance or when battery is drained (no charging though) - Comfortable Logitech Anywhere MX - Good asthetics - Comfortable - $10 cheaper than the competition that I have - Great sensor, even tracks glass - Less hate when mentioning this mouse

my pre-built PC; a dell XPS 8300 is booting into no signal sometimes but other times it works perfectly. I have formatted and even bought a new ssd to see if it was a HD problem but it continues to have an odd cycle with I think is a hardware issue, my GPU isn't overheating and I have reset my bios to factory settings. pls halp

Does anybody know what batteries are used in the Xbox One play and charge kit? If anyone knows the specific brand/type, that would be great. Also if anyone knows the voltage output of the batteries that would be awesome too, because I was thinking of buying a couple of Li-ion batteries(3.7V) and using those instead of buying the Play and Charge kit or using alkaline batteries.

Hello everyone. I was just wondering if these specs were okay? I'm debating between buying parts online and building a computer myself or getting something prebuilt. Finding good parts is really hard for me right now, as I cant tell a good provider from a bad one, and reviews make me feel wary about every decision i'm making. My brother is just telling me to get something pre built, so ive looked around at a couple sites in my city and found these builds they provide in their desktops. #1 CPU :AMD A10-7700K APU motherboard :MSI A88XI Memory :8GB Kingston DDR3 RAM Storage :500GB Seagate 7200RPM HDD Video Card :Radeon R7-class graphics Psu :450W Antec power supply Case :Antec ISK 600 -----------$649.00 #2 CPU :Intel Core i3-4130 3.4GHz 4th Gen Processor Motherboard :H81M-P33 LGA1150 Desktop Memory :8GB (1x8GB) 1600MHz DDR3 Storage : 500GB Hard Drive Video Card :Sapphire AMD Radeon R7 240 2GB PSU :APEVIA X-Dreamer4 Case with 450W ------------$598.00 I cant yet tell if these 'gaming pc's' are good deals or more than anything. Sufficient. When i try to follow guides online my builds end up super high in costs since I live in CANADA. some $650 builds (which is also my final budget) end up nearly 1000 dollars which i dont have atm. I just want a decent computer for photoshop/ videos and mild editing/ and league of legends. I am open for some assistance, advice, and help. I hope to start some digital art pieces for work at home for once, instead of elsewhere. Thanks for reading, much appreciated.

Thank you for replying (if you do)

I realized I hadn't used two keys from the Humble Origin Bundle I bought some time ago. Those two keys were for Origin versions of Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 & Populous. I don't like just giving them away, so for C&C, the first one to tell me where my profile picture is from and list something similar within it's category will win that one. Example: If my picture were one of Firefly (the tv series), then you'd say "Firefly, and something similar to that is Cowboys & Aliens." because Cowboys and Aliens is western, and involves space. It genre specific basically. For Populous, Google search my avatar's image and tell me a series that comes up that isn't what my avatar is, along with the picture you found showing said series. Example: If my avatar were this specific picture of Firefly, In Chrome, you'd right click that image and click "Search Google for this image". It's more involved for FF & IE, but I'm sure it's easy to figure out. Then you would delete the words "Firefly Gif" (otherwise you'd just get lots of Firefly GIFs thanks to Tumblr) from the Google Search bar, enter in whatever (I typed "a" without quotes.) and re-search it (ha!), then click "Visually similar images" and from the results that come up, you'd find a different TV or movie series (for movies that have sequels), I found this disturbing image of Tomb Raider (video games are cool too) for example: This one doesn't have to be related to the original (Firefly is space western, while Tomb Raider is neither of those things). So you'd just post that picture and say "Tomb Raider". I know. I complicate things, but whatever. Free games, amirite? Good luck Edit: Need sleep. Will give out key tomorrow (7-12 hours from now).

When I turn my computer on it works for about 10 seconds and the round loading thing beside the mouse is going around then it stops for about 3 seconds then starts going around again. Then the task bar on my 3rd screen, and only on my 3rd screen (i have it set to autodidact the task bar), pops back up and the circling loading sign beside the cursor freezes. When it freezes it always stops on the far left of the circle. After this i can still move the mouse but i cant left click anything. I can right click but nothing opens still. I can open the start screen but cant get back to the desktop. I can open the charms bar and click shut does but the win 8 circle doesn't start spinning, it stops on the first dot. I have never seen this before and i don't know what is wrong. I happens almost always and i have to restart 7+ times to get it to work. I have tried safe mode and it works with safe mode. I turned off all start up things in task manger and it still happens. If possible i REALLY don't want to refresh or fresh restart my computer as i have a lot of files and not much internet to re-download all my programs. PC Specs: CPU: Intel i5 3470 GPU: MSI Gaming GeForce 760 Motherboard: ASRock B75M Memory: Kingston Value Ram 8GB Storage: 1 x WD 1TB Blue HD, 1 x Segate 2TB HD Sorry that is was really long but if you can help it would be much appreciated, Thanks.

Hey guys, I need a strong compute card, but would like to game at the same time. I was looking at the Titan Black since it is the best option at the moment (aside from the Z...which I don't really need). For the Titan black, there are several options. EVGA, MSI,Asus, and Gigabyte. Gigabyte has the OC gigaherz but it's around $150 more than the standard ones in Taiwan. I don't know which one to pick. Please help!

Hi again. Right now I have Two (2) of Kingston HyperX Blu KHX1600C10D3/8GX RAM sticks installed in my system. Totally 16 GB RAM in my Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 system. Oddly this RAM set show up in 1333 MHz even it should be 1600 MHz. I can manually and safely raise it 1600 MHz from BIOS? My PC case is Corsair 900D. And my CPU cooler is Noctua NH-U12S. So I am asking Reccomends 32GB kit (8GB x 4) set for my PC system. Memory stick size should not be problem because Noctua NH-U12S allow pretty high profile RAM module installed next of it. So what 32GB kit you are reccomending for my system? Thank you for all who reply for this topic.

So I have started planning for a small server, and I'm currently looking at using the i3 line of processors to be the core. The 4130T seems interesting to me because of its low power comsumption. The question I have, is that CPU worth it for a server? Or any of the i3 lineup? I'm going to use it for file storage, and possibly for hosting things like small minecraft servers/hl2 mod servers for me and my friends. I don't really know much about lower end Intel stuff, because Iv'e mostly resorted to AMD stuff when it comes to lower tier CPU's, because they cost less most of the time. But they have their downsides, and I want to go Intel for once So can you guys reccomend anything? Because I literally know nothing about this lineup, except for their low TDP's and stuff.
