Hey guys, so today I made a major overhaul to my PC. I installed the rog strix b350 motherboard to use with my new ryzen 7 1700. I am using the amd r9 390 video card that I had beforehand so I know my video card works fine. When I boot up my computer all the lights and fans start working, so I'm assuming the power is connected. I plugged my monitor into the gpu with a dvi cable but nothing showed up on the monitor. I tried plugging directly into the motherboard, but nothing happend(I later found out the ryzen has no igpu). I have a Corsair 750w psu that also works. I tried all of the pci slots but nothing happens. I've been stumped all day and really looking for some help, thank you. PS: I'm typing on my phone, sorry about the wall of text.

Hello, I'm having a very first world problem right now. I was originally going to get a ryzen 1600x but I then realized the 1600 can overclock basically just as well, and it's a better price. But now the R 1700 is $84 off (CAD) and it's just above the i5 8600k. So what should I do. Wait for the $340 i5 8600k to become in stock, get the $350 1700 ($85 off) or the $235 R 1600 ($65 off). It's all in Canadian Dollars. I appreciate any reply.

So I am eventually going to have to upgrade my crappy logisys psu and $25 case in the near future (I would like to get a new psu first because that may actually be a hazard to my pc) Under $150 total preferably: Case: side panel (glass or acrylic) and any size but not so massive that it makes my components look tiny PSU: fully modular, 80+ gold rated, 500w+ These are the components I am looking at Cases: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/case/#s=1&X=0,7608&J=1,20&K=1,12 Power Supplies: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/power-supply/#X=0,8306&W=500,2000&p=1&e=6,5,4 Thanks!

I got a brand new Ryzen 5 system as my first system. When replacing the factory thermal paste with Cooler Master Mastergel (MGX-ZOSW-N15M-R1) it went into the motherboard socket and on the CPU pins. And now I must clean it because it's expensive and I don't want to get grounded. How do I do it? Please help me I am freaking out.

Hello i recently decided to water cool my PC, so i did my research and went on and bought all the kit i needed to water cool my CPU and my GPU So i bought A D5 pump a Frozen Q res and CPU, GPU Ek water blocks. I also bought two 360 radiators one 30mm thick and the other 45mm. And of course i bought proper coolant and all the proper fittings, tubing etc. I also flushed my radiators properly. I then put the fullcoverblock on the GPU and mounted the CPU block. This all went far easier than i expected lol Then it came time to start filling, so i filled the ress up a decent amount and made sure the pump (which ofc is directly under the ress) had water in it then i powered the pump alone and i heard a sharp banging noise followed by some scraping coming from the pump then it started quietly humming like i would expect. But the problem was that it didnt didnt seem to push any water D: So i then disassembled the loop and build a trial loop outside of the PC. This loop only consisting of the pump, the res and one 360 radiator, so that i could rest the pump again. So i did this and filled it up again then tried to give it power. and it appeared to push water fine, all be it, a bit slowly but i assumed it was just air in the system causing it to be that slow. Then i reassembled the loop and started filling it again, this time it went a little better as it managed with some help tilting the PC i managed to get it bleed and got most of the air out. Then i checked all my paper for leaks and luckily the was none. So i then let it go for 24 hours in order to be sure there was no leaks, and it was all fine. Then i took the PC back to its spot and plugged it all back and put it to use. Then i took a look at the temps i was getting, and it was way higher than i expected. I have the CPU idling from 40C with each core getting up to 60C randomly. The GPU was better but still idling at 40C and being stable at 40C. Then i tried Cine bench and Heaven running at the same time and it wall almost went to shit. The CPU peeked at 87C and my GPU jumped to 67C before i cut it off. These temps are all wrong right? like I have two 360s cooling these so my question is, wheather the pump has gone bad and not circleing the water fast enough to actually cool the coolant? Any help or advice from more seasoned watercoolers would be greatly appreciated.

So my PC is doing very strange things. When my PC is under load playing certain games the lamp in my room flickers in correspondence to the stuttering of the fps in game and as well as the metrics in msi afterburner. As the game stutters and the msi stats go up and down my lamp flickers at the same rate. Ive posted images below to what happens in msi afterburner.. My temps are fine from what I can see. I know its a bit hot but people with the same gpu as me get the same temps. I thought it might be a power issue so I replaced my power supply and gpu but the problem didn't go away. I don't think its my FX-8350 bottlenecking my gtx 970 cause a friend of mine has an fx-6300 and a gtx 970 and doesn't experience the issues. Anyone have any ideas? This is my first post sorry if I am breaking any rules. Also i'm not sure If I need to include my specs cause I have them detailed on my profile. P.S I would like to include that this issue only happens in certain games.

Hi LTT Community! I'm searching for software, plugins, websites and extensions that can enhance my web and work experience. The things i'm doing alot which i prefer to see tools for: - Mailing - Managing lots of social media accounts - Monitoring social media feeds - Keeping up to date about gaming development news - Improving social media engagement - Facebook Messenger and Twitter DM ( for business contacting ) Also i'm very interested in: - Paid tools for the things above ( i prefer to see free and paid suggestions ) - Team software - CRM software - Building a unique website where i can simply showcase my services without coding needed. Important things to know: My focus qua Social Media is at Twitter, i'm also interested in Facebook & Instagram tools, but i mainly use Twitter for my company. I mentioned above that paid suggestions are welcome, but i have a budget, so not enterprise solutions that are super expensive please, hopefully the best ones are free. Thanks for reading this, and i really hope some people here would have some suggestions. - MC

I'll be moving in with a friend soon and we will be sharing a room. This brings up some space issues since she only has 1 desk and currently uses a laptop. I remembered the video Linus did about the 2 gaming rigs 1 CPU. I'm on sort of a budget but I can still spend some money on it. Is there any way I can build this on an amd based system and if so what parts should I go for? We don't really do hardcore gaming mostl league of legends and some emulations of older games. Thanks for any help in advanced.

Hello yesterday i took the new years cleaning on my pc, taking out the GPUs and CPU cooler and removing dust and such. I then, reinstalled everything and it seemed to work fine except i actually got higher temps on my CPU i mean like 20 degrees hotter, so i went for another reseat of the CPU cooler thinking i may have gotten air bubbles or something, but after i got slightly better items but still 10 degrees worse than the original temp with all that fucking dust in the radiator. I wish i took a photo of the amount of dust inside the fins that radiator man Some may be useful notes The CPU is crudely OCed to 4,4GHz The CPU used to idle at 55-65 degrees (depending on room temps) And it used to go to max 75-85 during cinebench Now it idles at 65-75 degrees and hits 90 every time i try to run cinebench and thus starts throttling D: So if anyone know how to fix this or have any advice on what to do i would greatly appreciate any help

So, I'm a small youtuber, and I've had an issue accessing google+/responding to my video comments on Waterfox (a 64 bit browser for firefox (as a side note, my father's company's security IT guy says it probably isn't safe, so if you have information on Waterfox, please tell me)), so I tried Microsoft Edge to use as a different browser. After spending a whole night trying to tell Cortana to stay out of my life and not to track me, I decided to open Google Chrome; my old browser which I no longer used because it supposively listened to all my convorsations. I open the page, and it seems to work fine. I go to youtube.com, and all the photo sections are changed to a face of a man, not just any man, but different photos of him. I'm not into pop culture or anything like that (I'm a techie... Seriously, there's a world besides sada cables and SSDs!?), so I can't recognize him. Anyone else have this error, or any ideas how to trouble shoot it? Attatched is a video. I got a cold, so i'm both annoyed and tired of running into errors from so many stupid browsers. Basically: 1) Does anyone else have this problem or know what's wrong? Is it cause I haven't been on chrome? (has my laptop been hacked or something?) 2) Who the heck is that guy? (just curious) 3) Is waterfox a safe browser (my father works for a pretty strong IT based company, so to hear waterfox may be unstable is disturbing) Thanks! -LukeS I_M_3rd

I did already make this forum post once, but I didn't get any help there. In addition, Sapphire support sucks so I thought I might be able to get some advice. I just built my first PC, and used a Tri-X R9 290 (my PCPartpicker link in profile) and the system boots up just fine. However, whenever I try and install the AMD Catalyst suite the system reboots and then the machine will only show the windows loading screen and nothing else. It won't boot up after that, only black. I have reinstalled Windows 3 times, and I have contacted Sapphire support about this, but haven't gotten a reply yet. Could someone please help? Thank you for your patience

Hello everyone, In a couple of weeks time it will be the summer holidays and I am looking to get a new pc as my laptop is just plain crap. The max amount of money spent on the pc is going to be £600 Max. Also i want to be able to play games and record them without any lagg. So for the gaming part of the pc, I want the pc to be able to handle 1080p gaming at games like cs.go, minecraft, tf2, insurgency, train sim, ETS2, skyrim and ect (just check my steam for my games, btw its Porky) For the recording part of the pc , I want to be able to record these games at 720p which shouldn't be a problem without any lagg. and thats it really, GASP YOU MUST INCLUDE WINDOWS 7 AS I CAN THEN BE ABLE TO UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10. thank you and sorry for the caps.
