Hello, I have an issue with my graphics card. When I play games the image quality is poor, it looks like there's a grain/pixelated filter over it. Does anyone know how to help? I've attached an image bellow as an example in Forza Horizon 5.

Hi guys Some time ago, I bought 7950x with AIO Liquid Freezer II 420 https://www.arctic.de/en/Liquid-Freezer-II-420/ACFRE00092A At that time I thought this is adequate cooling solution, but for some time I have feeling that something isn't right. My idle temp is around 47 degrees celsius, and it isn't problem to reach 95 degrees under full workload. Is this normal ? I know that 7950x is reeeeally power hungry, that is why I opted for the strongest(?) AIO available for me. Also please note , that 47 degrees is after steps below. Troubleshooting/Steps I took: I used moderate ammount of Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut paste and I am 100% sure that I mounted the AIO correctly ( there is an offset for AM5 platform- check the AIO webpage). I also used Curve optimizer in PBO with negative 20 value per all cores. I still have feeling that these temps are too high especially idle, is this normal ? Please help, does someone has the experience with this ? Hi everyone! I got a budget PC back in 2019, and it provided a pretty good experience. However, with the onset of C0V1D, home office, and online schooling, I didn't have much time to use the PC. During this period, I upgraded to Win11, which did work just fine because I primarily used Teams or remote desktop for work with no problems. I'm now facing issues with regular tasks like browsing, using Word, working with photos and videos, etc. Strangely, gaming works perfectly fine without any hiccups (playing Metro Exodus and Horizon). When using the PC, my mouse moves fine, but everything else seems frozen, as shown in the video, same with typing, the text apears after several second even a minute after last key stroke. I even did a fresh install of Windows day ago, but the problem persists after few minutes of usage. I only have a few programs installed (OrcaSlicer, Bambulab Studio, Edge, Notepad++). I know one solution could be reverting to Win10, but I'd prefer to find a reasonable fix or maybe even cheap PC upgrade. I uploaded some screenshots of my system below. I did some research and consulted others before reaching out here. There are a few things that could be related: The main issue might be switching to W11 with a CPU that probably lacks TPM or something related. While technically unsupported, the only mentioned reason was TPM, some IT guys described that as "not necessary" but still required by W11. I tried bypassing TPMCheck and SecureBootCheck in the registry and updated to W11. ( Windows 11 supported AMD processors ) Is that really that important? There was a known problem with AMD CPUs Intermittent System Stutter Experienced with fTPM Enabled on Windows® 10 and 11 I'm not sure if it applies to me since I don't have TPM and it woked fine with W10. Would trying the workaround with hardware TPM be a solution? Additionally, I was thining about BIOS update, but the motherboard manufacturer advises against it for my CPU architecture. However, the articles suggest that newer BIOS versions fix the issue with the TPM. Could you offer any suggestions or share your thoughts on this, please? I'm aware that I messed up my PC with that update, but what are my options now? Setup: AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF Corsair 16GB KIT DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Vengeance LPX ASRock B450 PRO4 MSI GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER VENTUS XS OC, 6GB GDDR6 Crucial P1 1TB Seasonic B12-BC-650 - 650W

I have a ryzen 5600X right know and a RTX 3070. In the futur, I want to upgrade my pc to a Ryzen 8000 CPU + RTX 5070 (Zen 5 aka granite ridge). 99.99999999% chance that the new cpu from AMD wil have NPU, because right now the ryzen 8000G series (zen 4) have NPU. The question is do you think NPU will be a gimmic? for now most app are not ready for this, I think they wait for Windows 12 because Microsoft said that the next generation of windows will be focus of AI.

I am going to build a computer and i have been fiddling with pc part picker. My budget is from 600 to 900 dollars. This is the link to the build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KLkKkJ My plan is to use the 8600G CPU from AMD. I will be doing lite gaming, like minecraft and roblox. I will also do some AI or ML stuff as well. Please tell me if you think there is any way to cut on budget or any other concerns. Thank you in advance.

Hey guys, Ive been rocking my Ryzen 9 7950X for the past year. I bought a NZXT Kraken Z Series Z73 360mm AIO and the performance is not what I was hoping for. Is there a better cooler I should invest in or should I try to undervolt/ mess with Ryzen master? I've tried to use Ryzen Master before but couldn't quite get a handle on it. Any advice would be great! thank you!

Hi, I use all AMD machine: cpu Ryzen 7 7800X3D with MSI Radeon rx 7900xt running on win11. Fairly new pc, having It for more that 4 months (Build It myself, but now I'm starting to regret It). Today top 20% of my screen flickers (or maybe gets displaced) at random intervals and system during that sometimes gets a hiccup. On a first glance It looks like driver issue or something with a hardware, but I reinstalled the lower version of the adrenaline driver (From 23.12.1 to 23.11.1)and saw that the flicker happend on that update once as well so I'm worried. What else do You suggest, please help. I was saving for that machine for a long time, don't want to lose It :I

Hello, I am trying to finish my build but keep running into some issues with the system stuck on ACPI Initialization (code 78). Spec Details - Motherboard - Asus Pro WS WRX80E CPU - AMD Threadripper Pro 5955WX GPU - A2000, RTX 2070, RTX 3070 RAM - 1. 32GB kit - Sk Hynix 16 GB 2Rx8 PC4-3200AA -RE2-12 2. 128GB kit - Crucial 16 GB DDR4-3200 UDIMM 1.2 V CL 22 BIOS - Version 1201 2023/06/07 PSU - Asus ROG Thor 1200 Watts OS - no OS (haven’t decided) Details on the issue - Then CPU was harnessed from a Lenovo P620 in working condition with the Sk Hynix kit. The motherboard in the current system has been replaced since the initial purchase had an error code ‘C0’ which has no reference in the manual nor Asus support had a clue. Got a replacement and now run into POST code ‘78’ (ACPI Initialization) with the DRAM amber/yellow led ‘ON’. Troubleshooting steps thus far - 1. Reseated the RAM 2. Reseated the CPU 3. Re wired the cables 4. Tried different RAM configurations in different slots (yes the same pairs of sticks) 5. Re flashed the BIOS with no errors (no way to tell as the instructions for flashback mention of the BLUE led on the IO blinks and then goes out indicating success) 6. Reset BIOS (CMOS clear) 7. Tried all the GPU’s I had (not in pairs obviously) 8. Going to swap the CPU and Sk Hynix RAM back to the Lenovo P620 to check if I haven’t damaged anything in the swap process Anybody has any idea on how to get this resolved?

Hey all, I have a lingering issue with an Aorus B550I Pro AX Rev 1.1 Motherboard hosting an AMD Ryzen 5600X CPU. My USB ports not only are slow and throttle to 0 constantly, but they disconnect entirely. Copying files to a USB bounces between 8MB/s and 0, and devices will randomly disconnect. I did some research and people suggested newest BIOS, didn't work, manually setting PCIE to Gen3, also didn't work. Has anyone else come across this USB issue and was there a fix to it? Or do I need to continue to contact Gigabyte support? Thanks ahead of time!

Hi there! I'm building my first pc and i've run into an issue while installing my cpu cooler. I'm working with a B550 Tomahawk Max motherboard and I'm trying to install a Peerless Assassin 120 SE cpu cooler for my AMD cpu. However, the standoffs that came with the Assassin 120 are not fitting onto the motherboard at all. One of the standoffs slipped on no problem, but the other three won't fit on the motherboard at all. What should I do in this situation? Any recommendations? Thank you.

Hi All, TL;DR Do either the MKV container or MP4 container support 4K AV1 content with HDR10? I've been having issues getting it to work. More Details: Recently I've been backing up my own and my father's Blu Ray collections which consist of both regular Blu Rays and 4K/HDR Blu Rays. I haven't had any trouble with the regular Blu Rays yet, but lately I've noticed some strange issues with the 4K HDR ones. For some context, I recently got an AMD RX 7800XT which has support for both AV1 decoding and encoding. I decided I should try to compress the 80GB 4K Blu Rays using AV1 because why not! The movie I used as a test subject was my Dune 4K Blu Ray, which contained both Dolby Vision metadata and HDR10 metadata according to dovi_tools The 4K Blu Rays are encoded using HEVC/H265 which my graphics card should support for decoding, and starting with the 1.7.x builds of Handbrake, they also support AMF AV1 encoding so I gave that a try. I found out that Handbrake doesn't support AMF decoding at all, so I was limited to around 40fps by the CPU decoding. This wasn't that big of a problem personally, but still kinda irritating. So I used the FFMPEG command line executable since they support AMF decoding through both the existing DirectX 11 Video Acceleration API and the new Vulkan Video API. This did technically work, and I was now able to transcode at closer to 80fps! Although when I went back to play the 4K AV1 MP4s, VLC wasn't tone mapping the HDR properly and everything was washed out. Strange. I checked that the original media was tone mapped properly by VLC, which it was (not desaturated at least). I did a bit of research and found out that some people were reporting that the MP4 container doesn't support all of the metadata needed for HDR (which I eventually proved false... Sort of) so I retired the transcoding but now into an MKV file. Same problem, although the HDR10 metadata was being detected by VLC, just without tone mapping for some reason. So the AV1 MP4 didn't have the proper metadata and wasn't getting tone mapped, and the MKV had the correct metadata but still wasn't being tone mapped. I re-tried the same steps, but instead of AV1, I used HEVC so basically I was just compressing the original by reducing the bitrate. That time, both as an MP4 and MKV, the HDR10 metadata and tone mapping worked properly in VLC. I was able to use dovi_tools again to verify that HDR10 metadata was present in at least the AV1 MKV as well as the HEVC MKV and MP4, so I'm beginning to think it might be a problem with VLC. I tried using Handbrake anyway to create the 4K AV1 files instead of just FFMPEG and confirmed the same exact behavior; metadata was present for both codecs in and MKV container, but VLC didn't tonemap the AV1 video properly. I made sure VLC was updated, same with FFMPEG and Handbrake. Any insights would be welcome

Hi Guys, I've been thinking of upgrading my GPU. My current setup is: CPU: Intel i7-8700k (OC 5 GHz) MoBo: Asus ROG Strix Z370 Gaming-E PSU: EVGA G2 850W PSU GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080 Ti Monitor: Asus ROG PG348 (G-Sync Ultrawide- 3440x1440, 100Hz Refresh Rate) So the two options I have been thinking about are: ASUS GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB ProArt OC Graphics Card Sapphire Radeon RX 7900 XT 20GB NITRO+ Vapor-X Graphics Card Both cards are priced the same at £810 ($1025 USD) I do a bit of gaming, racing sims (asseto corsa, projects cars, forza, eurotruck sim) also play FPS (COD BO, CS and similar) as well as games such as flight sim, shadow of the tomb raider and city skylines similar. I also do cad modeling using Solidworks and a bit of autocad. I do use photoshop and Lightroom for photo editing. The system is in a Cooler Master MASTERCASE H500P MESH, Plenty of room for any size card. My main concern is that if I switch to AMD I'll have issues with the monitor, but then if I stay with Nvidia the concern is that I'm not getting the best performance for my money.

Budget (including currency): 400 Country: usa Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: gta sa, oblivion, nfsu, etc. Games of that Era. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have had this acer aspire for over 15 years, it has a ht2000 motherboard, 512 mb of ram, and a single core athlon 3500+. I never use it anymore but it has sentimental value as it belonged to my grandfather originally. I recently had the idea to just dress it up in the best components of its own Era, just to play some old games on it. Whether it's good by today's standards is irrelevant, it's more of a pet project. The issue I want to address before I buy anything for it is compatibility for the motherboard, it is an am2 board, but being relatively new to computers in general really I'm just unsure of whether any am2 processor will do or not, nor am I particularly familiar with parts of that Era. Any input on the matter would be very much appreciated.

so Ive kind of researched this but i never really trust those weird websites so i came here for answers. the PC stutters randomly, it doesnt matter if im doing nothing (idling), watching youtube, or playing demanding games (in this case beammng), and once again its not the game thats lagging its my whole pc. in real life it lasts for like 2-4 seconds not close to half a second like in the clips, speaking of which in them it seems to just skip what actually happens while the stutter is happening, what actually happens is everything starts skipping a couple of frames, audio slows down/stutters and mouse starts skipping aswell. specs: ryzen 5 3600 non x gtx 2060 6gig version 16gigs ddr3 ram GIGABYTE B450M DS3H-CF 500 gig m2. drive 1tb hdd 250 gig ssd Desktop 2023.08.16 - 13.22.42.03.DVR - Trim.mp4 0914(1).mp4

I've been thinking of switching out my specs and completely re-doing it but on the AM5 Platform My specs are: Motherboard - Asus ROG B550-F WIFI II CPU - Amd Ryzen 9 5900X GPU - Amd Radeon 6900XT Ram - Corsair Vengeance LPX 32Gb DDR4 3600Mhz PSU - Corsair RM750e SSD - Western Digital Sn770 1Tb I was thinking of changing just about the whole build to this: Motherboard - Asus ROG B650 - A WIFI CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 7600X/7 7800X3D Gpu - Asus Tuf RX 7800XT OC edition Ram - Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6400 PSU - Corsair RM750e SSD - Western Digital Sn770 1Tb The reason I'm changing the CPU is because I don't have much use for the extra cores because this is a gaming build, and it's never at 100% usage, and I found that the 7600X gives better gaming performance, has a decent IGPU, and loads of other technical differences. I'm changing the GPU because it's not an OEM model, as it's a tester card from an AMD factory, and it doesn't work like other GPU's most of the time. Eg. the maximum frequency is 500mhz ( I posted a pic below ) and I have to manually change the settings which sometimes causes crashes. It also heats up a lot because of that, meaning that when I set it to 2300mhz it stays there and heats up to 80 degrees when I'm playing games like battlefield 2042. I also can't decide whether I want to pay the extra amount of money on the 7800X3D. The games I play (1440p at 144Hz) are: Battlefield 2042 Need For Speed Heat R6 Siege Dead Space F1 22

Essentially what I want is a new motherboard that doesn't feel like I'm downgrading my motherboard but it costs less than my taichi mb. I spent around $270 for that mb and It was a good board but I don't want to spend that much again for an older generation cpu. I bought my mb 3 years ago and I'm pretty sure it's out of warranty by now. The most important thing for my new mb is that it has 3 m.2 slots since I have 3 ssds.

Scroll down for the updated posts I was looking to upgrade my Acer Aspire TC 780 just so I can have some stable performance in games and also be able to take advantage of a more powerful graphics card in the future. Since that my motherboard is limited as far as cpu compatibility and other stuff, that would mean I would only have two choices if I wanted to upgrade my cpu, the i7-6700($205 used) and the i7-7700($250 used)(according to my research). Yea those prices are crazy high and makes buying new look like a better option. So with prices of the Ryzen 2000 series being very cheap and with some special sales from Micro Center, I felt that it would be a good time to do this upgrade. Prices at the time of purchase: AMD Ryzen 5 2600x: $114.99 Gigabyte B450 Aorus M: $64.99 (when bundled with processor) GEIL Evo Potenza (16GB 2x8) DDR4 at 3000Mhz $49.99 New Parts, I did not buy the corsair ML120 fans from Micro Center. (the camera would not focus right)Here are my old 92mm case fans, they did the job for the old setup with the Intel core i5 7400 but were not good enough for the Ryzen 2600x. In this Acer Aspire TC case the cable management is not the best but it is good enough for me, a modular PSU would be better(maybe in the future), but for now I just have the rest of the cables stuffed in the one of the top drive bays. Yes, that is a funnel on the cpu fan and the AMD shroud at the end of the funnel, this made the cpu run 3-4 degrees cooler because it was getting more fresh air from the vent on the side panel and also the filter grill was added a long awhile ago with the old setup. The core i5 7400 paired with my GTX 970 worked fine, but I wanted more and the OEM Acer motherboard with the Intel 6th and 7th gen market was the limiting factor. This may look like junk to some people, but I use what I got and what I can get.
