Hello, First!! I am a german guy who is currently in University (FoodEngenering) and English is not my native language.... I want to spend like 1000-1400 €(1050-1450USD) for an Upgrade. The system is mainly for Gaming and programming software as well as design machinery. Games ( BF 1, Starcraft 2, Dota 2, Skyrim, Just Cause 3....) At the moment I am using 2 1080p 60hz monitors but my new system should be good for 21*9 3440*1440 at a reasonable Hz (Freesync or Gsync) Monitor costs isn't included in the budget ( I am buying the monitor later) I have a running win 10 64bit and Keyboard and Mice, so no need to buy I am currently running: FX 8350 (no oc) Alpenföhn Matterhorn for CPU cooler Gigabyte 990FXA UD3 16 GB g.skile 1866 MHz xfx 7870 GHz edition crossfire ( one is already sold) 480 Gb Crucial SSD 1 TB WD Harddrive PSU: Corsair CSM 650W 80+Gold Case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe I bought the System 3 Years ago with only 1 GPU and upgradeI the 2. GPU like 2 Years ago (at the time I bought the 2. 1080p Monitor). I thought about the I5-6600K ( with the NZXT Kraken X62) and a GTX 1070( ASUS or so), paired with 16 GB 3200mhz Corsair RAM on an ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming Aura. ( This is about 1300 € in Germany) Or, since I liked AMD a lot.... wait for ZEN and VEGA.... I don't know Thanks for helping Erik Stolz from Germany

Hello guys, I am having problems with my CPU temps. The idle temp is 44 celcius and the highest i got was 74 when playing Shadow of The Tomb Raider (after 20 minutes...). I have a very big case(SilentumPC Regnum RG4T) so good airflow, i connected all 3 fans that come with the case, i have good cable managment but i still get these temps. I am using the stock cooler that had the thermal paste already applied to it. The screws are tigthened as far as they can go. If there is nothing i can do with the stock cooler then please recommend a cooler under 50$ preferably RGB that can hopefully (not 100% necessary) allow me to overclock the CPU a little bit.

Hi all, Purchased a Dell desktop (would build but for business so need an easy warranty) to use for capturing video to livestream and record. I need a x8 slot for the capture card I am using (Blackmagic DeckLink Quad HDMI), and the board only has one x16 slot (gen 3 I think) so my graphics card (AMD Ryzen Pro WX3100) i have had to put in a x4 slot. Will this have a noticeable impact on performance? Also, is a graphics card even necessary for my workload? Will be running 3 full hd PTZ cameras and one PC in all over HDMI. Planning to use Wirecast studio as the solution to stream it all. pc spec is: i7 8700 16gb DDR4 2666mhz 256gb m.2 ssd Radeon Pro WX 3100 Blackmagic DeckLink Quad HDMI capture card (x8) Would really appreciate any tips! Thanks all!

So I've been looking into upgrading my CPU to the new 3000 series (my current CPU is the Ryzen 5 2600X) and I really want to get the Ryzen 9 3900X, but from what I've heard, it seems like on the current motherboard that I have now, it isn't really recommended for something like the Ryzen 9, but it would be more suited for the Ryzen 7 3700X/3800X. So I'm not entirely sure what I should do because I don't really want to get a new motherboard since the one I have now has been so far great to me (the ASUS ROG STRIX X470-F Gaming) and is my replacement from my last motherboard I had. Overall, I'm just seeing if it is possible to get the Ryzen 9 on my current motherboard or would I have to get the X570? Thank you!

I was asked to prepare parts list for Machine Learning PC with budget of $1200 (roughly, real budget is 5000PLN which is bit over $1300 but prices in Poland may vary from US). So, here is part list of the build that I prepared: Main requirement was dual GPU for Computer Vision ML applications but with that budget I moved to single GPU with option to upgrade later down the line. But still couldn't go too high and I have chosen RTX 2060. Other parts are meant to stay as they are but still provide ways to upgrade (hence 850W PSU). So there are 2 slots for more RAM left, enough power for second GPU even along with more powerful CPU. Went for fast AF main storage M.2 NVMe SSD with 500GB to keep currently used data sets and 2TB HDD for long time storage of those. If there is something wrong, any overkill part, compatibility issues: please let me know. If there is anyone that does ML and has any advice feel free to roast me, I think advice would be most appreciated regarding GPU choice (keep in mind target dual GPU setup).

Is there any way I could buy a AMD Ryzen 7 2700X without the stock cooler that’s included as it’s pretty crap and I’m buying a Corsair H150i Pro liquid cooler for it and it would be a waste of money for the stock cooler.

Hello everyone, First of all, i'm not looking to overclock any of these cpu's and i also already got a Case, Psu (Corsair HX850), Gpu (AMD RX480 +/or NVIDIA GTX970) etc. and i also got an AIO Cooler (NXZT Kraken X62) compatible only with the 1151 Intel Socket since its an Old model version (V1) and it did not came with an AM4 bracket. PS: ordering one from NZXT isnt really an option cause it takes way too long, and i have to buy the mobo up front as it clearly states: Attach proof-of-purchase for both your Kraken series AIO liquid cooler and your AMD AM4-socket motherboard. I'm haven problems choosing between the AMD Ryzen 7 2700 or the INTELCORE-i7 8700 what would be the Best CPU for Gaming+Workstation (Video/Photo editing etc) ? I only have triple A Games, but im not a hardcore gamer so i don't want it to be "only good for gaming" I Have a budget of around € 550,- and they both are in the same price range if i include the Corsair AIO i need to buy when choosing the Ryzen 7 so now my final Question is... : Should i buy the INTELCORE - i7 8700 - 6Cores/12Threads 3.20 GHz - 4.60 GHz ASUS PRIME Z390-A mobo Socket 1151 My 1year old NZXT Kraken X62 (compatible with the 1151 socket) Or should i buy AMD Ryzen 7 - 2700 - 8Cores/16Threads 3.20 GHz - 4.10 GHz ASUS PRIME X470-Pro Mobo Socket AM4 (2nd Gen) Corsair Hydro H115i RGB PLATINUM (compatible with the AM4 socket "out of the box") Which one do you think would be the best choice ? Thankyou in advance for your help!

So i have 2 x 4gb RAM sticks installed on a new pc, however when i open the BIOS and task manager, it only shows 4gb. I isolated the sticks and tried both of them in each slot, and each time it loaded up with 4gb, so the sticks and the slots are both fine. How can i fix this? Specs: Windows 10 x64 AMD Ryzen 3 2300X Quad Core, 3500Mhz Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 2 x 4gb ADATA RAM sticks Thanks in advance!

Greetings. First time speccing out parts in nine years. Last build / current system is on the 2600K. New build will be used for home workstation (graphic design / photo editing and retouching) and gaming. Applications will be Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Xd. Thinking about going with the Ryzen 5 3600 and an affordable B450 mobo in the form of an MSI B450-A PRO. I've checked the QVL for this mobo to look for compatible RAM, since I know how Ryzen loves fast RAM. However...I wanted to get a Crucial MX500 512GB SSD, but the QVL doesn't list it. How important is it for SSDs to be on QVL? I'm considering saving money by using my old PSU, but... How do I know if a PSU is still in good shape? I'm currently running a Corsair AX850 Gold. It had a seven-year warranty, which it's living way past that time frame.

I’m looking to build my first ever pc, but I want it to be powerful but reasonably priced. I was planning on getting a Gigabyte RTX 2070, but not sure what CPU. My budget for CPU is between $200 - $300 CDN or $150 - $230 USD. Also if you can recommend a reasonably priced Motherboard to go along with, that would be great.

Hey guys, I am building a budget pc after having enough with fps drops. I am not a serious gamer, I just play minecraft really and small games, but am looking to get into flight simulation soon (x-plane 11). Two budget choices for CPU's are, - Ryzen 3 1200 - Intel i3-9100F The Ryzen 3 1200 has 4 cores with it clocking at 3.9ghz. The intel i3-9100f is a quad-core processor and is clocking at 3.6ghz. Both overclockable, but i'm not planning to overclock the cpu. Reason why i'm asking is because I know AMD Ryzen processors depend on the ram speed and the channels used. I only have 1 Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 2666 MHz (I do plan to upgrade to 16gb). And with intel, it won't really matter what ram there is (to my understanding) and that it works better with x-plane. I live in the US and I have a GTX970, don't know if that matters. Thank you! (Also, if you have any budget motherboards you would recommend, please do let me know. Trying it to be below $70, but i'm flexible.)

I’m building a pc on a decent budget, but I was wondering where I should spend $100 extra. I was wondering if I should use an AMD RYZEN 5 2600 and a RTX 2060 super, or use a RYZEN 3600 with an RTX 2060. Which one would give me the best performance etc? (I play mainly Rainbow Six Siege, Modern Warfare 2019, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Minecraft with shaders mods and texture packs)

Hi, I've a AMD Ryzen 2600 system on a Gigabyte Aorus Ultra Gaming X470 board with 2 X 8GB Corsair Vengence LPX DD4 3000MHz RAM. I would like to know how far I can push My RAM speed. My Processor is currently at stock speed (and using stock fan, and the GPU is MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GT 6GB OC, also running with factory settings for now). Here what I can see in Ryzen Master and CPU-Z What I mainly like to know that, is the RAM really capable of running at 2100MHz stable in my system? and what value should the various clocks have to achieve this speed? Thanks, -Souvik

Hey guys! I decided to build myself a new compact and nice looking PC for the comming years (hopefully ?). The system will be based around the Lian Li PC-O5SX case that I've already used once for another water cooling build. So I do have some experience with it. It's a very complicated case for water cooling and requires a decent amout of prep work (rotation fittings etc are needed.). Anyway... I just wanted to show you some fotos of my progress. The PSU sleeving was made by myself. I usually order the sleeves of AliExpress. They are cheap and good looking :) For water cooling I'm using mostly brands like Barrow and Bykski. Why? Because I've had nothing but great experiences with them this far. Bykski is kind of the only manufacturer with a nice looking VEGA 56 Nano water cooler. It will be a hard tube build with 14mm thick tubes. The radiator will be a EKWB 240mm SE and the pump is a Laing D5. Oh yeah... The PSU ?. The stock fan just had to go! It was such a stupid and loud sleeve bearing fan that I just couldn't leave it on there. So I replaced it with a much quieter BeQuiet Silent Wings 3 High Speed PWM fan, that will be controlled by my motherboard. Mainboard: ASUS B450I Strix Gaming CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 (-50mV undervolt) Ram: HyperX Predator RGB 3600Mhz at CL17 (Samsung B-Die), are tweaked to 3200Mhz CL14 with advanced subtimings though. Storage: Samsung 970 EVO 500GB GPU: Sapphire RX Vega 56 Pulse (I will undervolt it by quite a bit) PSU: Sharkoon SilentStorm SFX 500W (basically the same as the Silverstone one) Case: LianLi PC-O5SX

Hey guys! I have my new build for now a month and something is getting me crazy as I tried everything to make it work. I have 3 monitors, 1 HDMI, 2 DP-to-HDMI. None of them goes to sleep when the PC is inactive. I tried disabling "USB Selective Suspend" and it didn't change anything. Now, unless I put my computer in sleep or I turn off the monitors, it just stays on the lock screen. Please, someone help! ---- SPECS: - Ryzen 5 2600X (last drivers) - MSI B450 Gaming Plus ATX (last UEFI and drivers) - AMD Radeon RX570 Gigabyte Aorus 4GB (driver: 18.9.3, last recommended) MONITORS: - Asus VP239h (HDMI via DP2HDMI active) - Asus VP247 (HDMI via DP2HDMI active) - Samsung S24D590 (HDMI)

I am looking to add a second monitor 144hz either 1080 or 1440p. I am wondering would this reduce frame rates in my game or add lag? Would my graphics card be able to handle it? I would be using the other monitor for stuff like discord, watching twitch streams, Spotify and YouTube. I play alot of rocket league and csgo and games like subnautica on my pc. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Contemplating selling this and getting a Ryzen 3 3100 for now and purchase the 4000 series Ryzen 5. Or should I just use the 3800X and not care about the upgrade? (I won't lose money on the CPU if I sell it). Any suggestions? Thank You!

I plan on upgrading my 4770k That I've had since it launched in 2013. I was initially planning to wait for the x670 boards to launch and buy both a Ryzen 4000 CPU and x670 mobo but, with all these recent hardware releases being sold out instantly by bots and scalpers (PS5, RTX cards) I was thinking I should maybe just get x570 since I can buy it now and it will work with 4th gen Ryzen. I also keep seeing alot of people say that there really isn't much at all that x670 can add feature wise that x570 doesn't already have since, DDR5, PCi e gen5 and USB 4 will be all on AM5 chips. Would it be best to just buy my new RAM and an X570 motherboard and just wait for the new Ryzen chips to launch to only have to worry about buying one item?

Hello, Is the AMD Ryzen 5 2400G with Radeon RX Vega 11 GFX worth its price? I've Seen good reviews about the so called APU... It's priced at 169$ but in India it is 191$ (13,799 Rupees) [import taxes] Is it worth buying it in India? My parents won't allow me to buy a Graphics Card because they think that the use of a Graphics Card is only for gaming.. Is it a better option.. It's Cheaper than an Intel Core i5-8500 Buying a Core i5 would also make me buy a Discrete Graphics Card... So is the AMD Ryzen 5 2400G worth its price in India???
