TLDR; anyone know an AM4 motherboard with dual HDMI out or (less ideally) a 1440p 60Hz DisplayPort to HDMI adapter? Building my dad a PC and want minimal points of failure cause I hate being tech support so going 5600G (onboard graphics) with dual 1440p 60 Hz HDMI monitors he already has, only problem is that the adapters for DisplayPort/HDMI I have atm are 1080p... The video outs he has now are one HDMI and one DisplayPort so one is on the 'blurry' 1080p adapter so I wanted a motherboard with dual HDMI output but can't find any.... other alternative is to use a 1440p 60hz compatible DisplayPort -> HDMI adapter note - I'm not building the whole pc to solve this one problem, he needs a new one anyway Budget (including currency): cheapest possible Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: N/A Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 5600G,

Current Problem: PC doesn't POST with new CPU in but everything works perfectly fine with the old CPU. This is despite having updated the BIOS, and having cleared the CMOS(Multiple times). Summary: The PC works completely 100% fine when the old CPU is in, but the moment I put a new compatible CPU in (did 2 so far) it refuses to POST. I did everything in: https://linustechtips.com/topic/42440-readme-how-to-respond-to-a-no-post-or-no-power-up-situation/ and still the issue persist. It can't POSSIBLY be 2 brand new CPUs being DEAD on arrival could it?! Details: I flashed version 5.2 of the BIOS to the motherboard, booted with my old pc, verified that it is indeed the version, then shut everything down and put the new CPU, the Ryzen 9 5900X, which should work fine on it. However when I turn the PC on it doesn't post it just stays on with fans and leds going forever with no display. I tried different RAM sets, both of which work with the old CPU but neither work with the new. Had 1 stick of ram on each slot, I did that with each RAM in both slots. Disconnected everything, only had the 1 HDMI plugged to the GFX card to a screen and no signal. I know very little about BIOS settings but I don't think those would matter since I cleared the CMOS and we're talking about a brand new CPU.The motherboard & original CPU is from an old Origin PC that a friend of mine gave me when they were upgrading their PC. I don't know if that matters but at this point I am grasping at straws. I would absolutely appreciate any help, thank you. If you need more info feel free to ask and I'll answer as soon as I can and add the info here with an edit. Specs: OS: Kinda corrupted Windows 11(x64).. but it doesn't post so it can't be the source of the issue! WORKING CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor New NOT POSTING CPU(s): Brand New AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 3.7 GHz 12-Core Processor (& bonus CPU that I also tried and didn't work: Brand New AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 3.9 GHz 8-Core Processor) Mobo: ASRock Fatal1ty X470 Gaming-ITX/ac Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard (Url to the specs and the documents on it: https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/Fatal1ty x470 Gaming-ITXac/index.asp#Support ) RAM: TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Z 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory (Additionally tested with another set of 2x 8GB DDR4-3200 RIPJAWS) PSU: Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (Known working, brand new) GFX Card: Gigabyte GAMING OC Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB Video Card

Hey All! IDK if this is the place to post this, but I would love some guidance on how I should proceed in getting a MOBO replacement. TL;DR - My Asus Tuf Gaming X570 PRO-Wifi has died yesterday and my warrenty expired back in October 2023. After reaching out to Asus, I have determine that my choices are to either send it in for repair (which they said could cost anywhere from $75-$200 depending on the hardware issue) or purchase a replacement (either new or used). I would Like some advice on If I should send my board in for repairs, or just say "screw it" and buy a different one. My current system core components are: AMD Ryzen 9 5900x Radeon RX 6900xt 64gb (2x32gb) of Crucial Ballistix 3600mhz cl16 RAM Samsung 980 Pro 1TB SSD (OS) Crucial P5 plus 4TB (games and projects) Corsair RMx1000 PSU The key features I want/need on my MOBO are: 2.5g Lan Onboard Wifi 6 or higher + bluetooth two M.2 slots (at least one being PCIe 4.0) USB 3.2 Gen 2 USB-C Front panel connector So far I have narrowed down my choices to the following MOBO under $200: New Boards w/ 3 Yr Warranties: Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE AX V2 ($140) MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI ($160) Used Boards w/o Warranties: MSI MAG X570S Tomahawk Max WIFI ($175) ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING WIFI II ($200) I am leaning towards buying the Gigabyte board, as it does like 80% of what my old board did, comes with a new warranty, and it seems like the best bang for the buck. However, I am not opposed to sending my board for repair. I have a laptop and an Xbox Series X, so I'm not deviceless on the computing and gaming front, but I dont know if its worth it to potential spend the same amount of money to repair it as it would cost to just by a replacement. As for used options, I am hesitant. While they are high end MOBO's, and newer than my current one, I have heard a lot of horror stories in regards to used boards, and I don't necessarily what to be in a similar situation in a year or so (at that point, it might make more sense to just upgrade to the AM5 platform). So, what do you guys think I should do, should I go new, used, or repaired? I am also open to different options/perspectives if you have them! I dont REALLY want to change platforms rn, but if you have differnet MOBO suggestion, I am all ears!

My motherboard (Gigabyte Aorus X570s Master)'s rear ports can't recognize my keyboard and mouse plugged into its USB 3 ports in UEFI/bootloader. In this picture, the only ports I have yet to try are the USB 2.0 (few years ago, my keyboard or mouse doesn't seem to power at all, IIRC) & the USB-C. Front panel ports are confirmed to be working in UEFI/bootloader. All ports are working when it's fully booted on Kubuntu. What's the purpose of the blue one with "BIOS"?

I'm trying to build an entry-level PC for 1080p gaming, I plan to use: AM4 Ryzen 5600 RX 6600 / RX 7600 1x SSD 2x 8GB RAM I'm aware that the price difference between A520 and B550 MOBOs is very small, but I still wonder which one does above build actually needs.

Hey i need help fixing my pc. So actually what happened is that i was trying to apply thermal paste to my cpu. Everything went fine until i tried booting it again after applying the paste it doesn't boot. fans does start and stay spining but there's no display and no light in keyboard or mouse. I unplugged my pc tried resetting bios by removing cmos battery for a bit tried booting same results as before then i removed my cpu cooler and found out i did spill some thermal paste on my motherboard and some on my cpu. I cleaned them both really good and made sure that cpu doesn't have any bad pins and same for the CPU socket everything looks clean tried booting it but same results fans spin no boot. Tried adjusting some components like GPU and Ram and connectors and still same results. Meanwhile i get answer to this, I have removed the cpu from the motherboard and let them both dry at a secure place. How do i fix it? I used HY510 paste and my motherboard is Gigabyte B450M S2H And cpu is Ryzen 5 3600 Any help is appreciated thanks!

Budget (including currency): $400 USD Games that it will be used for: CS2, War Thunder, Warzone, Fortnite, The Finals Other details: I'm staying on AM4 no matter what, Google AI says my cooler has a TDP from 125 to 150 but extermepc.co.nz says up to 235 (doesn't really matter since its above 105 either way) I have 32gb 3600mhz ram, and I was wondering which was better since the 5900x has 4 more cores, 8 more threads, 300mhz more base and turbo clock, and but the 5800x3d 32mb of L3 cache. It looks like the 5900x's pro are more than the cons but I thought I would get another opinion since I know a decent bit about pc's but not this much.

I'm currently the i3 - 9100F and a RTX 1650, planning on upgrading my GPU to a RX 6700 XT and buying a 180Hz 1440p monitor but im still on the fence about upgrading to AM4 or AM5, I keep my computers for 5+ years without upgrading. If im going AM4 I only need to buy the CPU and new motherboard: Ryzen 5600 MSI B550M Pro VDH WiFi which will cost around $255 (converted to dollars, I live in the Philippines). But if I go AM5, ill have to buy CPU, Mobo, Ram: Ryzen 7600 MSI PRO B650M-A WIFI G.Skill Flare X5 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000Mhz CL36 which will cost me around $579. I'm not super strict on the budget but I want some of your guys thoughts, is it still worth it to go AM4 and maybe upgrade to the 5800X3D down the line as my final upgrade, but im stuck on that platform. Or is it more logical to pay upfront now but have an upgrade path with 8th and maybe 9th generation ryzen.

Looking to build a new home server based on ITX. PCIe bifurcation is important because I intend to run a bunch of NVME drives an other peripherals (SATA/GigE cards). I'm probably looking at AM4 because Intel has restricted the the desktop LGA1700 chipsets to x8x8. I would consider LGA1200 since they can do x8x4x4 but z590 ITX boards are almost impossible to find these days. AM4 has no such limitation and can in theory do x4x4x4x4 but it is up to the board vendor to add support in the BIOS. Unfortunately it is tricky to work out what most can support because it isn't the sort of thing they put on the specs page. Does anyone here have any of the following ITX boards (with recent BIOS) and can confirm what they can support. Please respond with the model of board, BIOS version and level of support (x8x8, x8x4x4 or x4x4x4x4). ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING ASUS ROG Strix X570-I Gaming MSI MPG B550I GAMING EDGE MAX WIFI MSI MPG B550I GAMING EDGE WIFI ASRock Phantom Gaming-ITX/Ax ASRock Phantom Gaming-ITX/TB3 ASRock B550M-ITX/ac Gigabyte X570SI AORUS PRO AX Gigabyte X570 I AORUS PRO WIFI ASUS publish this guide which shows their B550 supports x8x4x4 and the x570 does not but I always wonder if this is up to date? I could look at a card that can do x16 bifurcation (using an ASMedia PCIe switch) but I am not aware of many that don't cost $$$. The QNAP QM2-4P-384 QUAD M.2 Card is one option but it only uses x8 to x4x4x4x4 which is a bit of a waste of bandwidth. Thanks,

I am currently on 5600x paired with RTX 3060 Ti. I do a lot of python programming using numpy, SciPy, cartopy and xarray. I work with fairly large data sets (~GBs in size). Currently running my code takes ages, mainly because I need to plot very high resolution coastlines in cartopy. I also game on my PC, and I play a few CPU-bound games (Cities Skylines, modded minecraft), and even more GPU-bound ones (Cyberpunk, Sea of Thieves have been my go to recently). I'm thinking about upgrading within AM4. The choice if I cared purely about gaming would be obvious: 5800X3D. However, I wasn't able to find much data on python programming specifically, apart from general productivity=>more cores more better. I am thinking about 5900X, or maybe even something much better. I don't worry about spending a bit more on a better CPU, but I don't want to overspend without getting much improvement. Any advice?

My M.2 NVME SSD(s) are "freezing" with 100% active time in Task manager. This only happens when gaming, and only in graphically intensive games (3dmark does not cause this issue), sometimes the PC will reboot itself but 9/10 I have to shut it off via the power button. Control, Vampyr, Half-life Alyx all cause this issue. if the SSD that "freezes" is my secondary one I can use the system just fine unless I try to access any files on that SSD. If the C drive "freezes" than the whole OS freezes up but usually i can still move the cursor around. Temps on everything are good. It started happening within the last 2 weeks, but may have been longer before I noticed what the issue was. I have tried: fresh windows install removing and re-installing the SSD's Only using one SSD clearing the BIOS Updating the BIOS Updating all the drivers for the system Updating the SSD's firmware (there were no updates) Updating/downgrading graphics card driver setting PCIE to gen3 disabling C-states Checking the SSD's (chkdsk, smart, samsung magician, WD dashboard) Checking the OS (DISM) Swapping PSU Removing all USB devices (sans keyboard and mouse) Different m.2 slots SPECS OS: Win 11 PRO x64 22h2 CPU: Ryzen 5 5800x MOBO: Gigabyte X570 Master rev 1.2 GPU: Nvidia RTX 3090 founders PSU: Corsair H1200x RAM: G.skill Trident Royal 4000 cl14 SSD 1: WD Black SN850x (freezes) SSD 2: Samsung 970 evo (freezes) I'm at a complete loss as to how to fix this, I can say 2 months ago everything was running perfect. At this point I've already spent over 12 hours debugging and doubt a repair shop would want to mess with a custom water-cooled computer.

Country: South Africa Currency: Rand Budget: 1500-2000 I am looking to upgrade to an AMD motherboard in the future since AMD CPUs are cheaper in the 6-core range which I am aiming for, but most of the motherboards I find only support up to Ryzen 3000 series and PCI-gen 3 in the price range provided. I even have a good air cooler that fits AMD processors also, so I can save on a cooler. However, I found an MSI Pro H610M-E DDR4 Intel LGA 1700, that does support from 12th gen to 14th gen and even has pci-gen 4 at the price of 1800. So, If I can't find an AM4 equivalent that can support 5000 series Ryzen processors, I'm looking to stick to Intel. Or are AMD processors cheap, but the motherboards are expensive? Is it worth it to move to AMD motherboards?

Does anyone know if the AMD brackets included with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition are interchangeable with those provided with the Cooler Master H410R? I lost my Hyper 212 brackets, and a friend mentioned he has the brackets for the H410R, I'm not sure if they're compatible or not. Any insights are appreciated !

I picked up a 2TB NVME Samsung drive for 79 bucks so I'm going to have to go in to install it and I will repaste my CPU. I've really been considering getting an rtx 4070 ti also. I was also taking a look at what was available for the AM4 socket. I hear good things about the Ryzen 5800X3D for gaming but its about $324 currently. I could get the 5800x without the extra cache for a bit over 200 but they are still pulling more wattage (105 watts vs my 65W CPU currently) So I ask the council. Is it worth it to throw money at an older platform, or should I possibly just go with a new motherboard? I would have to buy new memory also so that is a factor, but I would now have access to the AM5 platform. I would like to hear different opinions since I might not realize something that you guys would bring to my attention. Thank you in advance.

The thing is, I'm not sure where to go with it. I'm thinking about going with the AM5 since I'm rather envious of the position my cousin is in (He's got a Ryzen 5 1600 and plenty of upgrade path) but I'm not sure if the performance/upgrade advantage is worth the price right now compared to an AM4 or LGA1700(12th gen) platform. I don't really believe in future proofing, but I would like a nice upgrade path. My main goal right now is to be able to play BG3 split screen without worrying about it crashing as has been happening which I'm sure is due to the CPU. **A CPU that comes with a cooler isn't necessarily required, but it's a plus as I have a tower cooler from Cooler Master, but It was given to me so I don't know the model or if it can be adapted to either of these platforms** Existing Build: PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wVNDqR CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Processor (Purchased For $0.00) Motherboard: MSI Z97 Guard-Pro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (Purchased For $0.00) Memory: G.Skill Ares 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR3-2400 CL11 Memory (Purchased For $0.00) Storage: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (Purchased For $0.00) Video Card: MSI GAMING Z TRIO Radeon RX 6800 16 GB Video Card (Purchased For $0.00) Case: Rosewill REDBONE ATX Mid Tower Case (Purchased For $0.00) Power Supply: Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (Purchased For $0.00) Wireless Network Adapter: Gigabyte GC-WBAX200 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax PCIe x1 Wi-Fi Adapter (Purchased For $0.00) Monitor: MSI Optix G242P 23.8" 1920 x 1080 144 Hz Monitor (Purchased For $0.00) Keyboard: Keychron K4 V2 RGB Bluetooth/Wired Standard Keyboard (Purchased For $0.00) Mouse: Corsair SCIMITAR RGB ELITE Wired Optical Mouse (Purchased For $0.00) Headphones: Sennheiser HD600 Headphones (Purchased For $0.00) Total: $0.00 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2023-10-04 12:14 EDT-0400 AM5 Idea: PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KL2bKX CPU: *AMD Ryzen 5 7600 3.8 GHz 6-Core Processor ($218.24 @ Amazon) Motherboard: ASRock B650M-HDV/M.2 Micro ATX AM5 Motherboard ($124.99 @ Amazon) Memory: *Silicon Power SP032GXLWU600FDEAE 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL40 Memory ($76.97 @ Amazon) Storage: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (Purchased For $0.00) Video Card: MSI GAMING Z TRIO Radeon RX 6800 16 GB Video Card (Purchased For $0.00) Case: Rosewill REDBONE ATX Mid Tower Case (Purchased For $0.00) Power Supply: Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (Purchased For $0.00) Wireless Network Adapter: Gigabyte GC-WBAX200 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax PCIe x1 Wi-Fi Adapter (Purchased For $0.00) Monitor: MSI Optix G242P 23.8" 1920 x 1080 144 Hz Monitor (Purchased For $0.00) Keyboard: Keychron K4 V2 RGB Bluetooth/Wired Standard Keyboard (Purchased For $0.00) Mouse: Corsair SCIMITAR RGB ELITE Wired Optical Mouse (Purchased For $0.00) Headphones: Sennheiser HD600 Headphones (Purchased For $0.00) Total: $420.20 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available *Lowest price parts chosen from parametric criteria Generated by PCPartPicker 2023-10-04 12:19 EDT-0400 LGA1700 Idea: PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9Bk789 CPU: Intel Core i5-12400F 2.5 GHz 6-Core Processor ($149.97 @ Amazon) Motherboard: ASRock B660M Pro RS Micro ATX LGA1700 Motherboard ($94.99 @ Amazon) Memory: Silicon Power XPOWER Turbine 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory ($29.97 @ Amazon) Storage: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (Purchased For $0.00) Video Card: MSI GAMING Z TRIO Radeon RX 6800 16 GB Video Card (Purchased For $0.00) Case: Rosewill REDBONE ATX Mid Tower Case (Purchased For $0.00) Power Supply: Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (Purchased For $0.00) Wireless Network Adapter: Gigabyte GC-WBAX200 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax PCIe x1 Wi-Fi Adapter (Purchased For $0.00) Monitor: MSI Optix G242P 23.8" 1920 x 1080 144 Hz Monitor (Purchased For $0.00) Keyboard: Keychron K4 V2 RGB Bluetooth/Wired Standard Keyboard (Purchased For $0.00) Mouse: Corsair SCIMITAR RGB ELITE Wired Optical Mouse (Purchased For $0.00) Headphones: Sennheiser HD600 Headphones (Purchased For $0.00) Total: $274.93 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2023-10-04 12:47 EDT-0400

Hello, I just upgraded from a Ryzen 5 2600X to a Ryzen 5 5600X. After installing the 5600X, I am not able to run my PC with 2 RAM sticks in anymore. I have swapped back to my 2600X to see if my RAM slot is the issue, but it POSTs and works just fine with 2 RAM sticks when my 2600X is installed. I have tried with a 2x8GB kit and a 2x16GB kit that work fine with my 2600X in A2+B2 as well as A1+B1, but no configuration with 2 RAM sticks will POST when the 5600X is installed. When I put a single RAM stick into A2 from either kit, my PC POSTs just fine with the 5600X installed. I have tried the suggested BIOS for the 5600X (7B79vAL) as well as the latest Beta BIOS (7B79vAM1) and the problem persists. Any ideas? I'd really hate to have to buy a new motherboard as I purchased the 5600X SPECIFICALLY so I wouldn't have to dish out the money on a new motherboard.

Bad RAM or bad CPU (or something else)?
TheBill2001 posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
TLDR: What is the best way to determine whether my system instability is because of bad RAM, bad CPU, or something else? Especially when memtest86+ showed no error after an overnight test, but Prime95 did. Hi, my PC specs are: CPU: R5 3600X RAM: Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB (8GB x 2) HX432C16PB3AK2/16 (which is compatible with my motherboard) GPU: GTX 1660 Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC Cooling: Deepcool GAMMAXX L240 V1 (pretty sure it's a V1) PSU: Corsair RM750 (CP-9020195-NA, almost 2 years old) / Cooler Master MWE 750 Gold (dead) OS: Arch Linux (what I used before) / Endeavour OS (reinstalled to this) / Windows 11 (for testing) Location: Vietnam (might be important) Recently, I have been facing crashes on my PC, from games to OS. A common pattern is that games would crash with a Segmentation Fault (SIGSEGV) error. Linux would sometimes hard crash without any log being written. When it did log something, however, various error messages indicated memory error (hence maybe not GPU). The problem is I have run two memtest86+ (latest version) overnight with about 10+ passes each. All of which report no error. However, mprime, the Linux version of Prime95, did report errors at random intervals. However, errors appear more consistently on the smallest test about 15 - 30 minutes in. I also installed Windows 11 to test a game (Oxygen Not Included) and Windows just crashed and rebooted 30 minutes into the game, not even a BSOD was shown. I have tried various settings in BIOS: disable PSO, change XMP profile, disable XMP, undervolt and overvolt (using offset); update BIOS to the latest version ( 7B85v1H1), and downgrade to older versions, still crashed. I also tried to switch the RAM sticks around, and test with only one of them installed, still crashed. There are various reasons why I am uncertain about which component is the issue: My R5 3600X is pretty much the first batch (or pretty close), I bought it at launch. And there are some reports I have read over the years stating those batches were not... the best. My CPU could only boost to 4.0 GHz on heavy load rather than the 4.1 GHz advertised, and eventually drop to 3.9 GHz. Typically idle at 40-50C, clock speed never goes above 4.3 GHz. (This could be because of insufficient cooling, but what can I do when I live in a tropical country without an air conditioner.) Prime95 smallest test puts strain on the CPU, yes? I got errors from stock settings meaning bad CPU? The seller only covers 3 years (36 months) warranty and I'm in my fourth year of owning it, so no warranty. I overclocked my RAM with Ryzen DRAM Calculator before. Eventually just used the Memory Try It feature from MSI because it is convenient. Maybe the RAM is bad because I have run it overclocked for a long period of time? Memtest86+ showed no error after two overnight tests. My previous PSU (Cooler Master MWE 750 Gold) had a short and it would prevent my PC from booting up. I replaced it with the Corsair RM750 which was fine for a while until now. Could the old shorted PSU cause some damages that only now causing problems? Is my motherboard still good? I don't have spare parts to do more tests :(. Money is limited so buying new parts is also limited. That's why I need to be certain.- 4 replies

Hello, so recently i tried to replace my 2700x with 3700x on rog strix b450-f gaming board, before trying this i updated my bios to latest version cuz i haven't updated bios since i bought this board 2 years ago, with 2700x everything works just fine but after installing 3700x pc won't post, it gives me yellow led which indicates dram problem, i have 2 sticks of 8gb 3200mhz ram and tried rearranging in every position , tried to put only single stick in every position as well(tried both of them), tried resetting cmos both by removing battery and putting it back in and by short circuiting special cmos pins that board has, tried reinserting cpu as well just in case it wasn't inserted properly, after all that i reinserted my 2700x and it booted right away, could this be because of bios update? i also don't have usb drive that i could format to fat32 and had to update bios via internet so cant even go back to other versions. any help would be appreciated.

Hello to all, I'm at the end of a long battle with my prime b550m-a mobo and getting it to run its full Gigabit network speed. I have shaw fiber 1gig and usually see 600-950mbs download on speed tests with other computers. It will only connect as a Fast ethernet 100/100 Mbps connection no matter what. And I've done everything.. Change Cables (both cat5e and cat 6) Checking with second computer on lan and wifi (both had full speed with cables and ports used for this mobo) Bios flash Driver updates Chipset and any other available drivers (from companies own website. ) Fresh windows install Forcing both ends (NIC and Router) to use 1.0gb negotiations. (Service reboots but only connects 100/100) Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller #2 As I see it, the network side isn't the issue as any other device connects and displays 1gb connection no issue. I've spent hours reading forums on this mobo and troubleshooting tactics and about 30 my mins from going to the shop and getting a brand new one.. maybe setting this one on fire... (Not actually ) help Thanks, Dusty

Hey, recently I bought myself MSI B550-A PRO motherboard with AM4 chipset. Now I am looking for a cpu to match it. I also ordered Patriot Viper Steel, DDR4, 16 GB, 3600MHz, CL17 RAM. Two options I consider are Ryzen 5 5600 (or 5600X variant) and Ryzen 7 5700X. Major difference I saw was 2 more cores and 4 threads advantage from 7 5700X, but does it really matter that much in gaming? In my country it's 50$ difference between these two and I plan on building something that can last at least 3 or 4 years. Open for opinions and recomendations!

I want to upgrade my computer with 150 euros. I have now: CPU: i3 8100 MOBO: h310cm-hdv RAM: G.SKILL 32GB (2x16GB) 3000MHz CL16 Aegis GPU: RX 6700 XT PSU: Endorfy Vero L5 600W I want to upgrade my CPU and MOBO(i could sell that mobo and cpu that i have now but it just doesnt sell in my country and i would need to wait a 2 months or more to sell it and I would probably spend money from selling it for a better cpu). I thought of getting a b450 board and a r5 3600 but I dont know if It is a good combo.

Hello, Does anyone know the retail counterpart to the prototype "golemit" motherboard seen during Vega's 2017 CES show? Timestamp 2:37. I believe this could be a gigabyte motherboard, though do need confirmation. TIA

I'm trying to repurpose some old parts into a working PC for my SO, but when I try to boot the system, I get the CPU and RAM debug lights on at the same time (which is why I had to upgrade in the first place). I've tried everything short of a new CPU or new motherboard, any other suggestions? Ryzen 5 1600x and MSI Mortar B350M
