Building a PC for a friend and he said he prefers air cooling. I'm trying to get a CPU cooler that cools well but isn't over $75. I was looking at the Deepcool AK500 and figured that would be good. Should I get the AK500? upgrade to the Deepcool AK620 that is way bigger or get a completely different air cooler? Will mainly be used for gaming.

I have had my airflow set up like this. The idle temperature is ≈ 40°C. Is this an ideal setup? Can it be improved if I add another fan on top? Specs: i7-13700K with Noctua NH-U12A MSI RTX 3060

I have finally gotten the chance to build my pc after exams So I have been doing a lot of research with pc parts. I want to take the recently released 13900K But I want to take an air cooler so here's my ques : 1) Should I air cool a this CPU for productivity like renders? 2) What will be the highest temps? 3) What will be the the best thermal paste for this CPU and AIR coolers? 4) Should I get a nh-d15 or AK620 ? IF, I under-volt THE CPU or by any pc experts cause if I don't need 5.8 GHZ clock speed for editing and renders its a power hungry CPU I have seen benchmarks it runs pretty hot under load so I wanna know if I under-volt the and air cool The CPU will it work?

I am looking for a budget air cooler for Ryzen 7700X. Is it safe to look for AM4 coolers since they are compatible with AM5 or not all? Some of the popular air coolers such as thermalright peerless assasin, ak620, sycthe fuma2 are not available locally. It would be helpful if you suggest good budget air coolers. I searched some coolers with local prices: ID-COOLING Se-214-xt Rgb 36$ ID-Cooling SE-224-XTS Mini 47$ Cooler Master Hyper 212 47$ Deepcool AK400 49$ SilverStone AR12-TUF 50$ DeepCool AG400 ARGB 57$ NZXT T120 56$ Arctic Freezer 34 Esports Duo 74$ Id-Coolıng SE-226-XT 75$ ID-Cooling SE-207-TRX 98$ But I couldn't find comparison of their performances other than what the specs saying about RPM, CFM and dBA.

A bit of context for you I really like Noctua coolers from the performance I I seen for them and the Deep Cool LS720 seems pretty promising for an AIO. The Buget of the build is $2500 and I am coming pretty close to it already.

Hello, I'm going to buy the Be quite Pure Base 500FX case and I'm wondering what kind of cooler I should have in my CPU for this case. For better temperatures, is better to install AIO 240mm (Be quite Pure Loop 2 FX) or an Air cooler (Pure Rock 2 FX)?

I'm looking to upgrade my 12600k to a 13700k. I have a Cooler Master 212 black right now and I know that won't handle the new cpu. I've heard all about the Noctua NH-D15 and the Deepcool ak620 but I know I wont like the look of those big coolers in my mid tower H510 flow. I've found the Noctua NH-U12A which would work but I'm wondering if there's anything that can perform for less than the $130 it is on amazon right now. Any help is appreciated!

Hi, I have a pc with ryzen 5 3600 and 3060ti. My pc has restricted access to fress air as due to space restrictions in my room I have to keep it in a cabinet. The cabinet is ventilated though with holes near the intake of the cpu and a exhaust fan at the rear which spins at 3000 rpm and works fine. When I bought the pc I thought I would be fine with the stock cooler, but it isn't enough to cool my cpu as where I live ambient temperature is from 30-35°C. I have to run the cpu in power saving mode to keep it cool to a max of 80°C while playing cyberpunk. I wanted to improve the temperature so would you suggest an air cooler or an AIO. I was thinking of buying the Lian Li Galahad as in my mind it will help expel the heat outside the case which can later be handled by the exhaust fan rather than a air cooler which will put more heat inside the system

Hello. So I have this build of mine which is outstanding. Except for one thing, the case fan is EXTREMELY loud. I tried cleaning it, but it still makes a lot of noise. Since my build is an open case PC, I thought it wouldn't effect it's performance if I take out the case fan. But here lies my problem: My BIOS Always freaks out when the fan isn't there and plugged in, and I would like it if it didn't blare at me when all I want to do was start my PC. Since My MOBO is pretty old, there isn't a way to turn it off from in the software. are there any hardware hacks to make the computer "Think" that a fan is there without actually having the fan there? Preferably without Soldering?

I cannot decide between what to buy. I was looking between Ninja 5000 and something from EK water block as for AIO. I am deciding between 240 and 280mm AIO. Now If I'd go with 240 AIO which has 120mm fans I'd mostly like replace them with scythe or noctua's fans which would be mostly likely NF F12 PWM. Now I cant really decide what to pick, because on one hand I have an option of OPTing for air cooled option, which is aluminium plate based and I couldn't apply LiquidMetal on it, tho who really knows if LM at this point is even worth it since you have a massive tower cooling your CPU with low noise fans that arent really providing much other than moving air slightly on that cooler. Then an AIO cooler which is copper plate and you can apply LM on it, but then you have the pump itself that can be loud, i don't have any experiecne with AIOs so i can't say if they are loud or not, but right now i have stock 3600 cooler that is just for god sake the most annoying thing ever. EK WB AIO: + It's copper plate enabling me to add LM to it - the noise of the pump (stock fans would get replaced anyway) - pump noise??? is it loud??? Ninja 5000: + it's big, it cools well, costs less, low noise dBA fans) - it's massive, but it'd would probably cool same as AIO, but unable to apply LM Now I just want to know what is more worth it here. I know that for Ryzen3600 might be an overkill, but let's also say if I'd be to upgrade to more higher end like 5800x in the future or better. Would LM make any sense in this composition? Bonus question: But let's speculate that LM wouldnt bring any shifting difference eitherway, would it make difference with GPU die instead?

Hey guys, recently I've been looking into getting a new CPU cooler for my Ryzen 5 3600x.I currently have the Be Quiet pure rock slim, but I've upgraded and dripped out the rest of my system and I want a new cooler that isn't well...as ugly as this one I currently have plus it doesn't really cool Ryzen down well so I needa new one.I've been looking at the LC-CC-120-ARGB from LC-Power, it looks great to me and is ARGB so that's a plus, the thing is it has a handfull of reviews on YouTube and stuff and all of them that I've found are on a intel platform not Ryzen, so I'm wondering does anyone have expereince with that CPU cooler? or do you have a alternative around the same price range? Thanks!

Hello everyone, recently i was planning on buying a new cpu cooler, but the thing is that i want a normal air cooler which will keep an i9 9900k cool and will fit in my case and on the mobo. I have the NZXT 510 and my Mobo is an AsRock B365M Phantom Gaming 4 (LGA 1151). Thank you for any help and recommendations <33

hi, I'm looking to upgrade from my AMD Wraith to a better and quieter cooler, temps around 40 - 50 idle and 70 - 80 at slight load and at heavy load up to 90 degrees Celsius. I want a cooler that doesn't sound like a rocket ship when I start up blender or davinci resolve. right now thinking of buying a noctua NH-U12 redux

Hello there, I'm planning to buy a cpu air cooler for my system. Here's my specs: Ryzen 3 3100 MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX Corsair CX 550W GTX 1060 I live in India so our ambient temps are pretty high especially in summer(45C+). Also my AMD stock cooler is starting to make soo much noise. Now I have gone through soo many coolers and reviews. Based on what's availability I basically have these 2 coolers. ARCTIC Freezer 34 Esports Duo: https://www.arctic.de/en/Freezer-34-eSports-DUO/ACFRE00060A Noctua NH U12S chromax black I also have hyper 212 evo(version 1 old one), rgb black edition available here in my region but it seems these 2 comes out on top. I really want to buy freezer 34 as its cheaper, offers 10 years of warranty and cooling performance is great and also it has dual fans so I'll add the 2nd fan as the exhaust fan. freezer 34 costs $56 at the moment. And U12S chromax black around $90 in my region. The thing I worry about is noise level and installation process. I read somewhere that freezer 34 installation in AM4 socket is tricky. Also I'm planning to upgrade my CPU with 6 cores such as ryzen 5 5600 or other 6 cores cpu in the future. Please let me know your suggestions. Thanks.

I'm going to be rebuilding my system into an ITX build pretty soon here. I'm currently ordering the parts and am still on the fence about buying a new CPU cooler for this build. Here is the PCPartPicker list. Would you guys recommend getting a third party air cooler for this build? I'm only on the fence about it since I've read a lot of posts about how the stock cooler is sufficient for my R5 3600 but since it is in an ITX build, would I benefit from buying a 3rd party cooler? Something like the Noctua L9a? I believe that air cooling this CPU is sufficient so I've written off buying an AIO, in addition it wouldn't fit in the case since I'm also using a ATX PSU (from the previous build). Please let me know what you guys think!

Hello all, I have 100 dollar budget to spend upgrading cooling (small gift). My current set up is an ATX tower with three 120mm fans in the front (as intake), 1 120 mm in the back (exhaust) and the one that comes with the air cooler. Honestly I am pretty happy with my current temps (low 40s at IDLE and low 70s at full load), I am running on an AMD 5600X. But since I have that extra money I thought on 'upgrading' for aesthetics/ a little gain in temps (?) and my options are: 1) AIO: MSI MAG Coreliquid 240R liquid CPU cooler (https://www.newegg.com/msi-liquid-cooling-system/p/N82E16835846008?item=N82E16835846008&source=region&nm_mc=knc-googleadwords-pc&cm_mmc=knc-googleadwords-pc-_-pla-_-liquid+%2f+water+cooling-_-N82E16835846008&gclid=CjwKCAjw092IBhAwEiwAxR1lRumbj4D40OW-UQWv3zGth39qjAo0FiV2cBK2Dtq6DwwCJqsCY-YA3RoC4P4QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) With this solution I would get rid of my current cooling tower... of course 2) Lian li Unifan SL120 RGB (https://www.newegg.com/lian-li-uf-sl120-3b-case-fan/p/1YF-005G-00015) With this option I would replace the exhaust fan and I would add two exhaust fans at the top. My expectation is that both solutions would keep about the same temps but maybe option two can improve cooling to the rest of the components since it is exhausting heat from the whole case? What are your thoughts? Thank you!

I have a single tower CPU cooler. Is there a proffered orientation to mount the CPU cooler fan on the cooler. (Either pull through it or push through it) Thanks.

Hello, im currently looking for a cooler for my Ryzen 5 3600. Im reaching temps 75 C light gaming and 96 C on full load. My case is a bit tight and only has about 145mm of clearance for an air cooler. Most 120mm air coolers are about 150-157mm in height. I found this 90mm air cooler and I was wondering if it will be enough or good. Thank you https://www.amazon.com/aigo-Cooling-Heatpipes-Radiator-Cooler/dp/B08MZX9311

Turns out that the front fan doesn’t fit because of the RAM. I’ll get a bigger case that fits it but meanwhile, would it be safe to use this normally with one fan?

So, I've watched both of the LTT videos about if AIOs or air cooling are better. But, I have noticed that they are missing the fact that a lot of other people make air coolers and AIOs. So, it seems as if this is more of a Corsair vs Noctua video, rather than an air cooler vs AIO video. I know it's impossible to get every single aio/air cooler, but I am confused that they decided to give a "final answer" while just comparing 2 companies' coolers. So, this makes the whole AIO vs air cooler debate pointless because it depends on the AIO. For example, the Arctic Liquid Freezer II outperforms the D15/U12a, but the D15 or U12A beats the Corsair 360mm AIO. Probably because Corsair AIOs are probably made for aesthetics only. So, does this make the way these videos concluded kind of flawed? Or does the point still stand for some reason. And I'm talking about pure performance and noise, not something pointless like the ease of mounting unless you can't mount the cooler. Idk, it seems kind of pointless to give a "final answer" if they only tested 2 companies making the same type of cooler.
