I recently built a new computer since it had been 7 years since my last build. I decided to go with an AIO liquid cooler this time and bought the Cooler Master MasterLiquid 360L which seemed a reasonable price. After a couple of days of using it, I noticed it started making a humming noise. The humming went away after a bit so I assumed it was just air stuck in the pump. However, the humming then returned and didn't go away regardless of how I tilt the computer to try and get air out of the pump block. Here is a video of the pump noise with the fans off: Note that the radiator has to be mounted on the front with pipes coming from the top because the case doesn't allow any other configuration (my bad for not doing enough research beforehand). This noise is noticeable even with headphones on, and it's slightly annoying. I can reduce the pump RPM through BIOS which reduces noise a little but I'd rather eliminate the noise entirely. Is this expected for a pump or is there some issue? So I'm putting together a high end build mostly for creative 3D work but also for a little gaming here and there and I've ordered most of the components after a week or so of research. CPU: 13900k GPU: ROG Strix 4090 OC MOBO: Asus ROG Z790-E RAM: G.Skill 128GB 6400Mhz Cooling: H150i Elite Capellix 360mm PSU: Seasonic Vertex GX 1200w Case: Lian Li Lancool 3 Storage: 2x 2TB m.2 SSD, 1x 2TB 2.5' SSD, 1x 4TB 3.5 HDD My main question is whether or not my AIO (front mounted) is going to be enough to keep the 13900k and 4090 at acceptable temps (obviously when rendering and under other kinds of heavy load I expect them to be high). In addition to the 3 120mm fans on the RAD I am planning on having another 4 (on the top and rear) to cool the system. I have seen multiple builds from people with a setup like this and they haven't seemed to have indicated in their videos that there is anything to worry about with temperatures being an issue. On the other hand I have seen reddit threads and threads on here filled with people saying you need custom water loops with multiple radiators to keep the 13900k at reasonable temperatures. So some follow up queries I would have would be: 1: Do these posts assume that everyone is overclocking their 13900k? 2: If I don't overclock my 13900k, will the H150i 360mm be enough to not thermal throttle? 3: If I am going to run with this 360mm AIO (assuming I can get away with it), should I add more fans to the bottom of the case and or/run a push pull setup with 3 extra fans on the RAD mounted at the front of the case? *something else to note is that I am ordering the Thermalright 13th gen CPU bracket given what I've heard about it lowering temps up to 8 degrees, so that's definitely something to factor in at least a little when deciding whether my 360mm RAD is going to be enough to cool the CPU*

Just replaced my old crappy Cooler Master AIO with a dual fan AIO from NZXT, I bought the NZXT Kraken 240 to because my old AIO is failing. What's your thoughts on my new AIO, tell me your experiences with this model of AIO.

I recently upgraded from a 2060 super to a 6800xt. My current rig is a 5900x with H100i 240mm and a 6800xt in a 4000x. I was looking at my temps lately and I've noticed they were quite high. Around 70 degree idle on the CPU and around 52 degrees on the GPU. Under a synthetic load (cinebench and furmark) the CPU hits 80 degrees with the GPU at 91 with a hotspot of 99. When I play cyberpunk, both sit around 80 degrees, with the GPU hotspot of 90. I feel like these temps are kinda high? I'm not sure if it's because my case is too small, or my fans are too slow. Any help would be greatly appreciated Pictures of my idle and max temps are below, along with a picture of my case so someone can tell me if it's too small.

Hi, I built a new pc about a month ago but today out of no where the AIO cooler starting making a really loud rattling type of noise. im just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what it could be? My temps seem fine so far but im not sure if the AIO is on the way out or not. Certainly hope not considering it’s only a month old. I really need this PC for work so any help is greatly appreciated so I can get it fixed ASAP. I plan on checking to see if the fans are loose and causing the noise. I doubt that would be the issue but I’m hoping it’s a simple fix like that again any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance sorry for the short clip. Couldn’t upload anything more due to file size IMG_0800.mov

Dear helpers, As i'm trying to enter the world of pc-building i have found a setup that i like, might need some tweaking before i order it, Its all new for me, i'm used to pre-build but i would like to try pick&build myself. F.D. Torrent Nano AIO 240mm GPU INNO3D Geforce RTX 4080 ICHILL AIO Black CPU & Others are not important for now...just hear me out the pc-builder on the website works fine and does not allow setups that will not work together.....however, can someone please explain how i can fit 2x AIO 240mm in this case without effing up the airflow for the GPU? yes, it has an AIO but it could still use some fresh air, unless i'm mistaken in this part. please tell me if i'm wrong. i really like the idea for a double AIO build but it has to fit and fit well. so, please help me out... thanks in advance!

I got a pretty basic AIO that I wanted to add to this case. I didn't realize that there is only one vent slot in the top of the case. Would it be a bad idea to install the rad in the top spot? I wasn't really having heat issues, just noise. I don't game very often on this rig. If Yes, should I install two fans or just the one? IMG_0715.heic

So I'm feeling bittersweet now that I have "built" my first computer. The truly hard part is over and after getting everything together and booting it all up it seemed fine for the most part. What I didn't understand was filled in by close friends and I think it turned out pretty decent. The one issue I had out of all of it was making sure all the fans were slotted properly onto their respective headers and are actively talking to the rest of the parts. While in some cases it doesn't matter which header some miscellaneous fans go to it does in fact ask for certain things to be in correct areas. I went with the y60 for this build and for a first time builder who gushed on some of the parts ( i have been limited to pretty poor hardware over the years for a few reasons but since I had the means I went all out), I'm finding the layout to be a bit tricky with some of the cables. I ordered 3 corsair fans for the intake and exhaust, I didn't change the stock floor fans and the aio is from nzxt. The stock cables I set to the 100% non controlled headers, and the rgb ones went to their hubs and funneled into sata cables and 2.0 usb connectors respectively. Everything works to my knowledge albeit a bit of jank but the aio seems to be in a "lights are on but nobody is home" sort of state. The little 3 hole cable is in the aio pump socket directly above the asus hexadecimal display and while its on and registering 31-33 regularly the system is running very hot. The display on the mobo climbs to high 80s and in some cases to 90. The aio is not being read, nor are its fans changing in speed to my knowledge, but their rgb features are able to be changed. I have tried putting the aios 3 pin cord into the cpu opt to try and see if anything would happen but no joy. I have since returned it to its aio dedicated slot (one pin hangs out i dont know if thats bad or not) and changed the bios to be set to DC and set it on 100%. It floats what I believe to be arbitrary numbers at me since nothing seems to have changed and i still dont have proper reads coming through. I'm hoping all of this can be solved by some cable fenagling but if not I can cross the bridge of dealing with my cable management choices in the back when we get there. I know everything is hooked in despite it looking like a mess. (Edit Now the cpu light is on even tho something is plugged into that header) IMG_3321.mov

I have a 5900x with Liquid Freezer II 280 for 2.5 years now. Today it suddenly went to 95c while browsing internet and light background tasks. I let it sit off a while and launched into bios. It went to 65 then 70 then 75 so i decided to turn it off again. LF2 vrm fan still spins, the radiator fans daisy chained to the LF2 still spin. Is it possible only the pumping function got shot randomly?

I want to buy this case but I wonder if I can mount AIO on top, particularly speaking of Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 ARGB. I read it is a bit thick radiator and I just want to make sure. Thanks.

So I bought this MasterCooler 240mm AIO V2 the other day and fresh out of the box it made grugling noises. Ik its a bubble in the system but I have had it running for around a week now and it didn't go away The AIO is top mount so I don't think the way that is mounted is the problem I only hear noise coming from the raditor is self not the pump should I be concerned?

I am torn between these two coolers. The LT720 is cheaper and preforms marginally better, while the H150i looks better and has more ability to control within iCue, which I already use. My biggest concern is that I have heard the H150i's pump is quite loud, at the same time, the LT720 is also not a quiet AIO, especially since it does not have a pwm pump. I saw that the LY720 is "A tier" onm the cooling tier list, but the H150i Elite RGB is not listed. The LCD and Cappellix are but that have different fans. Does it really matter which one I choose here, cause I feel like I'm going in circles with myself trying to decide. One thing to note is that I will be putting this in the front of my case so any and all airflow will be through the rad.

I don't plan on overclocking anytime soon but I have a good deal on the 13600K and thought I may as well take advantage of the out-of-the-box turbo boost. I'm thinking that as long as I don't apply any additional voltage or clockspeeds (above what the K already gives), the 240mm Corsair H100i Elite Capellix XT should be fine. Am I right in thinking that or should I look toward a 280mm or 360mm AIO? I'm planning to game at 1440p on my existing 1080Ti (and upgrade to a 4070Ti down the line).

I'm looking at PCs and trying to decided with cooler to get. My use cases will be gaming as well as cad, video editing, and the occasional overnight render. I know the 13700k runs hot, and I don't want to pay for only to learn performance on the table, even with undervolting. Will a 280mm AIO be enough, or do I just need to bite the bullet and go 360mm?
-
I've been doing a lot of research on what kind of cooling is needed for the 13700k as I know it runs hot, even with undervolting. I've seen the air coolers like the ak620 work with it for gaming, but part of what I'm going to be doing is heavy, sustained workloads like 3D renders, CAD, and video editing. Should I just get a 360mm AIO, or will the ak620 or equivalent work well enough?

I am trying to bring water temps into Fan Control to help get my aio pump noise under control. The pump isn’t loud, in fact with even the quietest movies or music in the background I can’t hear at all, but working in silence, it is all I can hear or think about. I fiddled around with Fan Control and found that the pump is dead silent at 50% and acceptable to 70-75%, but water temps went from 7 above ambient to 11-12 above. I don’t like having the higher water temp, but if that is ok then problem solved. I would like to set up a curve based off of water temp for the pump and keep the cpu temp for the rad fans. Only problem is I have a Thermaltake Toughliquid Ultra and the water temp is only displayed on the pump display and reported to ThermalTake’s control software. I need help getting the sensor values to hwinfo or directly into Fan Control.

Hi, everyone! I made a post about my games stuttering/hitching way back in January of this year. My old post essentially was asking why my games were like that all of a sudden, and why I was getting CPU temps of 100 degrees plus by just idling on the desktop. I eventually came to the conclusion that my CPU was overheating (kinda obviously) with some help from people on the forums. But after putting some new thermal paste on the CPU and AIO cooler, my computer, and more importantly games, were noticeably running better. I was able to get my hands on an NZXT prebuild in June of 2020. Specs listed below: CPU: Intel Core i7 10700k GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super Motherboard: Micro-Star International Co., LTD Z490-A PRO (MS-7C75) Ram: G.Skill F4-3200C16-8GTZR DDR4 x2 Storage: CT1000P1SSD8 Cooler: NZXT Kraken 120mm Case: NZXT H510i However, ever since the start of this summer, I've noticed that not only is the stuttering and inconsistent frame rates back, but also I'm lagging a lot so I reapplied thermal paste again which didn't seem to work this time which makes me believe that my AIO had failed or died. I researched about the Kraken 120mm and people said that it's not really that great of a cooler considering it's lifetime of about 2yrs or so. This leads me to ask: 1. If the Kraken did fail, then what is the best AIO cooler for my CPU and for my case size? 2. Do high CPU tempt affect wi-fi speeds? Any help or input would be appreciated! I am struggling over here. -.-

Hello people, I have a problem with my radiator screwholes.. I have a lian li Galahad 360 aio, but the screw holes are not holding up anymore. I wanted to try and buy 1mm larger screws but I’m afraid to hit the parts of the radiator where the fluid comes tru. Since this AIO.. well, it’s pretty good, it would be a shame to change it, it’s working flawlessly still. Do you have a solution that can help me out?

Hi, i have just be given from a friend a Coolermaster Masterliquid 240 V2 and decided to install to my pc. I followed all the instructions and when i first boot up the temperature at idle are 75 minimum! I checked everything around thermal paste and cpu block touching, but everything seems ok. I connected the 3pin to CPU_FAN header and the 2 fans of the radiator to SYS_FAN with no result. I also did the opposite with no result. Both times set them to full speed from BIOS. CPU: i5 4670 Motherboard: Gigabyte B85 HD3 Thanks

I have 9 fans in this case. 6 corsair 120's on either side of the rad. 3 aorus 140's on the top and rear. Initially I had the 3 aorus all as exhaust. Then one day I decided to stick my hand in there under load. I was amazed at how much heat was being thrown into the case from the rad. I flipped the top two around to throw cool air down on the board and the gpu. Now I'm getting tons more dust and I don't feel like it's really exhausting very well. When both the c/gpu are under load, it does throw a decent amount of heat out the back. The amount inside is insane though. When all three were exhaust, under load there was no fresh air coming in and there was a ton of heat around the gpu and board. In hwmon the temps didn't change that much regardless of the three fans even though you can feel some cool air coming in when under load. The riser is trapping a tremendous amount of heat between the gpu and board. I need to drill some new holes and move my gpu away from the board one more slot. I'd like to go 2 but there's only one more rear i/o slot to go. I already had to drill holes to make it fit to start with. Although it almost is now, it would've been smashed totally against the board had I not drilled the new holes. I'm beginning to think that the aio was a bad decision and that an air cooler would be better so I would have plenty of cool air coming in the front. When I get around to moving the gpu forward I would like to get a small fan mounted in the rear giving it some fresh air or at least one behind it assisting the gpu's heat blowing up. If you stick your fingers in between the gpu and riser it feels really hot and that has to be hurting the board's m.2 heatsink that's really close right behind it. I bought a 2tb 990 pro m.2 that will be in place of the 2tb 970 evo and the 970 will move to the port right below. I would imagine that 990 is going to throw more heat adding to the problem. A side note, those 990's have really dropped in price since 5th gen is starting to pop up. I recommend picking one up. I've included the temps at idle, (almost idle, typing on this page,) and under a 3dmark load. I'm not sure why I'm hitting 90 with a corsair 150 elite cappelix and liquid metal. I don't get near that with game play or streaming. I read you should only have to revisit liquid metal once a year and I've already been back in it to make sure about a month ago. I added some more and closed her up. I'm not sure why hwmon is still reporting a 4070 ti oc when I now have an 80 oc.I did a totally clean install and it's not showing this anywhere else. Aside from getting what little room I can between the gpu and my board, what are your thoughts and best advice here? Any and all ideas will be considered and appreciated. Oh yeah, in case it matters, basic components: Ryzen 9 7950x Corsair h150i capellix elite x670e aorus master PNY 4080 oc

Hi I'm looking for best AIO for cooling i9-13900k. After some resaech i found out, that this two are the best right now: - EK Water Blocks EK-Nucleus AIO CR360 - Nzxt Kraken 360 or 280 There is also Elite version of kraken, but it only differs in LCD display. Some tests shows that Kraken 360 is better. There is 280mm version of Kraken too. Is there big diffrence between 280mm and 360mm AIO?

Hello guys, does anyone know if the NZXT H9 Elite case supports the NZXT Kraken X63 RGB 280mm? I want to use my precious AIO and mount it on the top of the case but I'm not sure if the case supports that size. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I managed to lose the box containing all of my spare mounting brackets during moving. I am now stuck with the unenviable task of trying to find replacements. I just messaged coolermaster so hopefully that's fine. But it just dawned on my that I couldn't find any specific info about the aio. Not even the original model name. Before this I just assumed that they reused some of their other products but that doesn't seem to be the case. How could I find out?
