I just got a new AIO cooler, I stupidly took out all the connectors from the mother board in the process but I put them back in their place I'm like 80% sure. Anyway after connecting everything I turned on the pc it all the RGB flashed then it went dead. Does that mean that the power supply is too weak or is it that I connected something incorrectly? My motherboard doesn't have a trouble shooting led Rig setup Rtx 2060 Ryzen 5600x MSI 240 liquid cooler AIO My power supply is 600W but it's like 3-5 years old

Ryzen 7 2700x idling around 60c, I have an h100i elite capellix aio cooler and txm50 thermal paste. I also have a rm850x so I assume the psu cant be the problem. I included some pics, anybody got any ideas?

I was just unboxing my Gamerstorm Castle 240 RGB V2 that I bought 2 days ago as I am building second ever PC. There are clearly visible bendy fins on the radiator. Please see: https://i.postimg.cc/yNBxQ3R4/IMG-20210623-233721.jpg This is a cheaper aio. Replacing it will be a huge hassle for me. I like the design and i know this aio is very scarce in my country's market right now. My question is: how huge of a problem is the bendy fins if they are a problem in the first place? Will these bends cause problem in terms of heating? If it isn't an issue at all, I would like to keep the cooler. If it poses any significant problem, I will take actions to get a replacement immediately. Thanks in advance for helping.

Hey everyone! I have an AIO cooler (Cooler Master MasterLiquid M120L) in my system (Ryzen 5 3400G, MSI B450 Gaming Plus (not the mATX model, but the ATX model), 32GB 2666MHz memory, Gigabyte RX 570 8GB graphics card, Viper 512GB SSD, 600W PSU, Deepcool Matrexx 50, and an entire audio production setup). What would be the most efficient way to set up the pump for the cooler? Would it be more efficient to have it set lower so the liquid spends more time in the rad to cool before it's back over the CPU? Would it be better to set up a curve to make it go faster over a higher load? Should I make it a constant 100%? How should I set it up? This was my first PC build and I set everything up kinda recently, but now my CPU temps are higher than one of my friends' when we're essentially doing the same CPU intensive audio production workloads, even though we have the same CPU. That might just be the different silicon talking, but I feel like it might be more than that. I keep my pump speed set to a constant 75% because I figured that would be the most efficient, but now that this has happened, I realize that that might not be the best case.

My current PC config is as follow: CPU = Intel Core i5 3570K AIO = Corsair Hydro Series H60 GPU = Asus RX 570 4GB(Overclocked version) PSU = Corsair 750W (Non-modular) MOBO = Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe (ITX form factor) RAM = Corsair Dominator 2 X 4GB (1333) CASE = Bitfenix Prodigy (Mesh front panel) I am thinking about an new build but for some reasons, I am still hesitating. So I thought about an upgrade. The system was built in Feb 2013 and it has been running since then for more than 6 years now except the GPU which is recently replaced. As an upgrade, I like to replace the case and the cooling system as well as the power supply unit. I will use a mATX case most likely, but I get stuck at the cooling system. There are 2 considerations: 1) 240mm AIO 2) which brand? My other worries are (a) do all 240mm AIO comes with PWM fans? (b) given my current Corsair Hydro Series H60 has been running on a daily basis for the last 6 years, will newer AIO products last at least this long? (c) which brand comes with the longest warranty? Anyone can reply with useful suggestions and opinions will be great;y appreciated, thanks in advance. -
Hello I'm on a weak laptop right now with a dual core intel cpu with a gtx 1050 gpu. I'm looking for a 1440p system that will be mostly used for above 100fps gaming with some programing, photoshop and 3d modeling at the side. I'm was looking for something with a nice look with ether an edgy look or moderate rgb with as few rgb programs as possible for the configuration also quiet is a must. I picked a few components https://pcpartpicker.com/list/78kvzY .I'd like to hear you opinion on it and maybe a few pointers Notes: - system will run 24/7 (with rgb off and low rpm at night) - gaming will take place at leasts 5h a day/intense cpu and gpu tasks - most of the movies will be on it and it will be used as a server for my home(the movies will be rendered to better quality/music will be edited) - this will be my main system for everyday use with gaming and previously mentioned tasks - I have no problem using more money for less hustle with ether programs or cabling - It can be overkill, but not over 4000 € (4.427,60 $)

The LED on my kraken x62 is stuck in a certain color like for example; red, cyan sometimes it goes to white but most of the time its not working. All I see its just black and no color or rgb I want. It's suppose to work without CAM software. After I installed CAM software and drivers, nofthing changed... I'm concerned that my kraken x62 is broken-ish, the pump, fans and water is flowing nofthing wrong with that. its just the LED that bothers me... Help would be appreciated alot! Thank you in advance.

Hi guys, (I know I just posted this, but I never got any useful replies. So, posting again) I know this may seem a bit out of date, with the RTX 2080 Ti's already being out... But I currently have a EVGA GTX 1080 Classified which my pride and joy... But it has been running really warm since I bought it and EVGA won't do anything because "It's within specifications". The temps are 75°c-82°c while gaming, 88°c during HeavenBenchmark and 92°c during Furmark. (Ambient temperature is 20°c) When I do the synthetic benchmarks, I have all fans running at 100%. My case is a NZXT S340 Elite with 2x SP140 for intake and 2x AF120 for exhaust. I will have them running at 100% as well as the GPU and CPU (Via 212 Evo in Push/Pull). I've currently got a medium OC on my card already (+100MHz core, +250MHz Memory) and it will boost to 2075MHz while gaming and 2050MHZ or lower during HeavenBenchmark. My problem is, I know it will run faster with cooler temperatures because when I start HeavenBenchmark, it will jump to 2150MHz without crashing but because of the rising temps, that falls to 2050MHz or lower. Also, I do have voltage, temperature and power limits maxed in MSI Afterburner (My GPU has weird issues with EVGA XOC) as well as a heavy custom-fan curve. I also have the GPU in the Classified BIOS, which "should" boost the power limit to 130%. Don't know if it does. I've now come to the conclusion that I want to change the cooler. I have already changed the thermal paste twice with Arctic MX-4 but this made no difference in temperatures. I've thought about doing a custom loop specifically for the GPU, but there are no officially supported blocks that I am aware of, and although the 780 Classified will fit, I do not have the money for all the water cooling parts. I also don't have the confidence to water cool, especially when my £500 GPU is at stake. So, I have come to the conclusion the next best thing I can think of is to with the NZXT G12. Only issue with this, I don't know if it is supported, being the 1080 Classified is extra wide because of that 14+3 power phase. If I were to buy the G12, I only have a few questions... Which AIO would be the best fit? I am after a 140mm so I can still use my SP140s I use for intake. Also, how am I meant to cool the memory and VRMs? I'm assuming I get some thermal pads and use some small copper heat sinks, but would that be enough? I know it is going to have active cooling with the fan that comes with the G12 (I'll be swapping that for a Noctua one anyway) but I am wondering, will it be enough cooling for them? If you guys could lend me ANY advise, I'll very highly appreciate it. Thank you!

I'm building a new system. Put out the mobo, slide in the CPU, took off the am4 mounting to install an aio. Selected the screw position on the backplate and then tried to position it........ Did not know that aorus had a backplate on the motherboard which interferes with the AIO backplate......... Anyone has any idea before I cut the heck out of the backplate?

I have tried to find information about it but it seems I can't get the wording right. Sorry if this is a repeating question that gets answered. I currently have a 240mm radiator in push configuration. I really want to try a push+pull configuration but my hard drive cage is in the way. Unfortunately, the cage is riveted and some modding is required in order to remove it. So, in order to reduce modding, can I run 3 fans, 1 in a push and the other 2 in a push-pull configuration without consequences?

Hi Guys, As the title says, please help me decide to choose a cooler for overclocking my cpu. i won't push it to the limits, i will be happy with slight overclock. My system as follows: CPU: i5 8600k MOBO: MSI z370m gaming pro AC GPU: zotac 1070 mini (to upgrade to 1080 ti when price drops at release of next gen, or buy a next gen) RAM: 2x 8GB DDR4 2133 Mhz (OC to 2666 mhz) PSU: Cooler master v750 80 Plus Gold full modular Fans: 3x noctua front intake 2x cooler master sickle flow exhaust at top 1x fan exhaust at rear (those fans are donated by my friends, i want to utilize it) here's the situation, i am staying at a hot environment, no AC, average room temp is 26-27 deg centigrade, can be hotter up to 29-30 deg during summer, 24-25 during winter. I have 2 options: a) Corsair H80i V2 b) be quiet! dark rock TF Im using a very average MATX case im scared of AIO as im not born lucky, i might win the lottery of getting an AIO that will leak. but im hesitant to get an air cooler as they say (from reviews) its bad for small cases because hot air from all inside components will add up making it hot inside the case, thus will affect temps for cpu and gpu. Please enlighten me. Help me decide regardless of the price difference of the 2 option i mentioned, i can get good deals for both. Please don't recommend 240mm rad AIO they are way overpriced and im not in that level of enthusiast, i'm just using for gaming and light tasks, no rendering nor video editing. i only use it for work for autocad. I am curious if anyone knows or has done some testing on AIO placement in cases. I currently have my setup as an exhaust, with air pulling through the rad and exhausting out that back. I have H60 120mm and feel this provides best results. Could do a push pull on it as exhaust. But that seems overkill.

Hey folks, Recently, I've been looking to update my PC to an AIO water cooler for the Threadripper 16-core I will soon get. I will mainly be using this system for 3D rendering in Max and VRay along with UE4. As a result, these long sessions of 100% CPU usage (potentially 2+ hours) has pushed me to buy a cooler to fit my needs. After doing some research, I have found that AIO liquid coolers often have pump failures after 8-12 months and 1-2 weeks of down time could kill a contract for me if I have to get a cooler RMA'd. I found this was true on the H100i (gtx and v2) and the Kraken X62 and X52 which both appear to be popular coolers. Are these reviews just people getting unlucky with faulty pumps or is this is a serious issue I should be considering?

Hello! I've been planning a new build for streaming and gaming on this forum(https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/852879-3500€-gamingstreaming-pc-theorycrafting-need-advice-long-post/ ) and have been getting advice from all subforums and people, and now its the time for me to ask you guys about AIO coolers. At first I was totally against water cooling because I was VERY afraid of leaks and other similar disasters, but after I realized most of the reports of leaks are from custom loops, and that if I buy the top quality AIOs they probably wont leak, I mustered enough courage to plan the use of it. But, I know very little of the various AIO coolers. I know that I need a very good high-quality one, or I'm better off sticking with a good noctua d15. So I was planning to get a 360mm one, the thicket I can find, build with the highest quality and with the best material so that the pump or any other piece breaks on me and with a very good and thick radiator to disperse heat, and it doesnt matter if the fans are crappy, I can replace them(I can, right?). I've read nice things about the one I selected in this current build, but I'm trying to see if I can find any better, without the cost being because of having "CrAaAaAzYyYy RgB!1!1" or gimmicks like that; don't get me wrong I appreciate RGB, but I want to pay for the quality of the craft and the quality of the materials rather than that. I can have RGB by applying some good fans on it afterwards. So, what would you guys reccomend? Preferably under 300(and even more preferably around 200)€. In generaly I've understood that Corsair isn't my best bet.

I'm upgrading my current rig from an FX-6350 to a Ryzen 1600X. Unfortunately, I really appreciate RGB, and I'd like to overclock if possible. I was looking at the Kraken X52 (X62 can't fit in my case) because it is an RGB AIO that I know will keep the 1600X cool enough to easily jump to 4 GHz. But from the reviews I've read of the Kraken, people are saying that the pump fails at about the sixth month marker, and CAM software still sucks. So, A) Is the Kraken X52 actually good and a decent amount of people just have bad luck? B) Does this AIO come with an AM4 Braket? C) With the Asus Prime X370-Pro, IF I wanted to use an RGB strip along with the NZXT cooler's RGB capabilites, do I need to have a splitter on the RGB header? Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone I was wondering what suggestions anyone would have for making a home theater pc quieter. Its in the fractal design node 605 and its only noisey when running games but i have replaced the stock fans with an nf-p12 on the exhaust through a coolermaster 120mm rad and the intake fans with cougar vortex. Im guessing adjusting my fan curve might help but im not sure how to do that (msi motherboard if you need to know the bios) and any other tips and tricks would definitely be helpful, thanks.

Well this sucks... I bought an AIO off of ebay for $20, it's asetek and is 120mm. It works and my i5 2500k at 4.5Ghz is idling around 38-40C. Before everyone starts saying that it is air bubbles that is causing the noise, I don't think that it is air bubbles because when I picked up the cooler out of the box I heard a faint rattling noise like a piece of plastic has broken or something. I hooked it up and everything went fine until I started up the PC, it started making a rattling and harsh sound and I turned the PC on its side and moved the radiator around and tapped on the tubes but the noise continued to rattle. It got quiet the first time I mover the radiator and tubes but than started back even worse. I don't want to send it back because it still works but I am willing to disassemble it to take out the piece if that is causing the noise. Thanks for the help.

Hi, im going to build a PC. And i just started to think about how i should cool it. I have bought a MSI seahawk 1080 with 120mm fan watercooled AIO and an NZXT x62 AIO cooler. Am going to fit this inside an H440 case. So i wonder if i should take the CPU cooler at the front or top. Whats best. (Have an i7 7700k)

Hello, I'm in the process of building a brand new desktop for myself. I was recently gifted a Zalman T11 as my friend upgraded her case. Im going down the Skylake route with a Core i5-6500. Im looking at AIO cooling solutions and I was wandering if anyone knows what AIO solutions would fit into the T11! I have come up with a list of potential solutions which I think may work, and a list of ones which I know wont. (N.b. I DO NOT intend to make ANY modifications to the case what so ever!) Potential Raikintek Triton 140mm (Here) Ruled Out Corsair H100i (REASON: Radiator is too big, required modification) I am open to sensible suggestions! Many Thanks, Cameron

Hi all. Need some guidance for cooling setup for 5960X and TitanX machine. I'm planing on using H115i or H80i v2 for the job, probably dual H115i because I have a discount on them. What I need: as silent as possible setup with the best possible performance where performance, silence are more important than the cost of the fans and the case. I'd also like to get the smallest case possible. What configuration I need to setup the radiators; I presume a push-pull config with the fans setup to blow the air on top outside the case (pointing upwards) and the second radiator with the same setup, blowing outside I presume, front or side, or down, opposite direction or inside same direction (hot air inside the case, cold from the outside)? Also, what are the best fans I can get that are silent and create great pressure for the radiators. I have some Noctuas lying around. Need a case suggestion too. The board is Asus RVE (EATX).

Hi guys! I'm planning to buy corsair h100i gtx for my new build and I don't want to use a corsair cable link cable and software to controle a fans and pump. Can it does in bios? Reason is simple, less posible visible cables. It's silly, but it's me. -
hy everybody this is my first topic on linustech, and i hope someone can help me. i am looking for an aio cpu cooler for my i7-4930k cpu (lga-2011) mounted in a cooler master stryker, and i think on the top it fits a 240 mm radiator now i am usig a zalmann cnps 9900, and my temps are between 35 and 55 celsius. i know this aio are not like a liquid cooling system, but i don't want to spend a lot of time on mounting/mantaince. i got few question: witch one is the best between zalmann raserator 3 max dual, corsair h105, tundra silverstone, triton raijintek the temperatures can be lower than now? thank you sorry for my english

Okay guys, I asked the same question on Toms Hardware forums and they could only suggest 3 AIO radiators, hoping you guys can be a little more helpful. I am planning on installing a all-in-one radiator for my new gaming desktop I'm building but I'm wondering what I should use to cool it. I've looked up Noctua fans and Corsair fans, but I've only looked at Corsair all-in-one radiators. I just need help choosing between a H100i (or H105) but upgrading the fans to the Corsair SP120 performance editions because they have a very high static pressure, higher than any Noctua fans. My next problem is wither I should get the H110? I know it is a much larger radiator and using 140mm fans, but I can't seam to find any good 140mm static pressure fans that don't have LEDs on them. But would having a larger radiator with less powerful fans be better? I honestly don't know... If there is such a thing, I would really like a 360mm wide radiator or even a 420mm all-in-one radiator because I want to overclock my new i7 5960x sky-high to around 4.5GHz-5GHz without it getting too hot (75'c+). I'll be installing it into my old case (InWin GRone) and because it supports a 140mmX3 radiator at the top, I really want to use that. I would set it up as a push/pull with it pushing the air out of the case and it'll also be used like a exhaust, along with the 140mm fan at the back. Before you ask "Why don't you install a custom loop?" The answer to this is because I don't want to install a custom loop and blow my entire system. Hence I want an all-in-one because they're easy to install and there isn't a chance of a leak, destroying the system. Hope you guys can help because I really want the best cooler with the largest radiator with strongest fans. Price within reason, is not a problem. "

Hi guys, I have recently picked myself up a BitFenix Recon fan controller to install into my BitFenix Prodigy build PC. When I went to install it I realized that the Recon required the use of 2 internal USB headers, but unfortunately the one I am using is for my Antec Khuler 950 for monitoring. My first question is, Does the Recon need to use both USB internal headers(I read somewhere you can just use one, I would like come clarification on this one)? If I can use only one then can I use the Recon to monitor the Khuler 950 and not just the case fans, meaning I can remove the USB header of the Khuler and put the recon in. My PC Specs are here: Intel i5 4670k Gigabyte Gaming 5 ITX Z-97 motherboard Antec Khuler 950 Kingston Hyper X Predator 8GB RAM Kingston Hyper X 3K 120GB SSD WD 1TB Blue HDD XFX Radeon 3GB 7970 BitFenix Reacon BitFenix Spetre Pro 200mm and 140mm BitFenix Fury 550w PSU BitFenix Prodigy Any help would be really appriciated
