I'm really in love with NZXT's new Kraken Z63 AIO. The LCD screen is much nicer looking than Asus's Ryuo 240 AIO. The issue I have is that the case I'm planning to upgrade to only supports a 240mm radiator, and the Kraken Z63 is 280. Is there any way to adapt the bracket to be able to hold the 280mm rad assuming that it will physically fit inside the case? The case I plan to use is the the Roswill Prism S-White which allows the AIO to be mounted on the case wall instead of the front panel so it looks like it will physically accommodate the 280mm rad assuming there is some way to get it in there. I suppose I could also spend a little more money on the Kraken Z73 at 360mm and mount it on the bottom but I've never heard of a bottom mounted radiator before - don't seem like the best option airflow wise. Thanks in advance. )

I’m currently looking at a new case for my PC, however the case has a USB Type C connector in the front IO. My motherboard does not have one of the USB 3.1 Type C headers. Are there any ways to fix this issue? I can’t seem to find the right adapter. By the way the Case I was looking at was the Lian Li PC-011DX on Amazon, if it helps. Thanks for any help.

So I've moved and now I have a new desk in the living room. The thing is that I want to game on the TV too but I only have one VGA output in my PC, I was thinking on getting a VGA splitter cable and call it a day but the TV isn't 1080p capable, so the image would look distorted or incomplete. I have a very tight budget right now and although I know a new graphics card would be the way to go, I would need a new PSU and case (this one is slim). So if anyone could suggest what are the possible solutions (considering I need low latency) and I have a tight budget, please let me know. Thanks. Note: TV has VGA and HDMI.

So i built my PC in July and i bought the TP link archer T4U to get wifi. However, it didn't really work yet it did. I play games like overwatch and when i was played i was achieving normal pings etc. however whenever i restart or shutdown my computer and play a game my ping will just jump to 2000+ ever 3 mins and i found out that i have to install the drivers every bloody time i restart/shutdown my computer......... I wanted to die. So its not Feburary that ive lived through that and so i about another wifi adapter hoping it would fix the issue..... it didnt. I bought the TP Link T6E and installed the drivers however i was still not achieving the best possible speeds, in fact i was achieving less, (i have 60Mbs speeds but was achieving 20 with the T6E and 40 with the T4U), and so i also have to download the drivers every damn time i shutdown/restart my computer. IS THERE ANY POSSIBLE WAY TO FIX THIS?!!!!! My motherboard the the asus sabertooth z170s, i5 6600k, evga 1070. Could it be my motherboard????

ok this is more a rant than anything so bear with me. Yesterday I bought some cheapo IDE/SATA to USB adapter. I thought I could use one of those since I work at tech support and stuff. Well, the thing did not work with my old 2.5" SATA1 80GB hdd(my disk boots fine when plugged directly to a sata port), it seems like doesn't give enough power to the drive. I was like, well, maybe I got a bad one. I went back to the store where I bought it and they couldn't get it to work (at first), but then it was fine. After arguing with the manager I decided to take it home. I bought a second adapter just in case the first one decided not to work again. Second adapter did not work at all. Led light turns on but no disk activity. At this point I'm like FML, so I decided to take both things to the shop at work. I tried 5 different SATA drives(two 3.5" and three 2.5") + 1 IDE drive. First adapter read all drives with some difficulties except the IDE drive. Second adapter only worked with one SATA3 drive. I'm a bit lost about this. SATA drives are meant to be forward and backward compatible, right? and I realize that those adapters are not the best quality but still. Is there anything else I can try before throwing them away?

I need an IDE to USB 3.0 (or 3.1) adapter with power. I'm having trouble finding one that doesn't have awful reviews. I was originally recommended the "Inateck USB 3.0 to IDE/SATA Converter Hard Drive Adapter with Power Switch" 30% of the reviews resulted in returns due to frequent problems: Incompatible with Windows 10, Doesn't recognize IDE / won't power IDE, & Prone to immediate failure. Any recommendations? I have a HX4R hotswap for diagnosing SATA drives @ home, but I need something that works with IDE and is mobile.

Hello, so I need some help or suggestions rather. First I'll explain my situation. My name is Josh and I work as a security guard at a museum. The museum closes at 5 and I work from 4pm to midnight. So majority of the time I am working at the gatehouse, no one is coming through the gate. So I always bring my laptop to work and play games offline. Here is my dilemma. My network card installed in my laptop isn't strong enough to reach the public wifi signal from the museum, out at our security gate. The security gate is approximately 30ft away from the museum. My laptop will detect the wifi, however the signal just isn't strong enough to connect to it. Can someone perhaps suggest some USB wifi adapters with long enough range, so that my laptop can connect to the public wifi? Thankyou! -Regards, Josh the security guard.

Ok, so here is the deal, My neighbor gave me an old Apple PowerBook G4 and I wanted to salvage the HDD to use in my new build. The only catch is, it's and ATA HDD, so I was wondering, can you buy an adapter to use an ATA HDD with a SATA mobo?

Hey guys, I'm planning to do something similar as in this video is shown: But as I was thinking, I came to a conclusion it could be done with less wires to the computer. With HDMI you can transport video and audio, but I also want data transfer: DisplayPort. After a little bit of searching on the internet I came to a conlusion (ones again) that there isn't such a thing as a DisplayPort (female) to HDMI (female) and USB (female). Is there a way to make such a thing like that. Or is there a website that sell this and I didn't manage to find it? Thanks in advance!

Hey LTT, I have recent put my house on the market and am unfortunately unable to run my 75ft Ethernet cable from my router to my computer. Fortunately I moved my computer to a room that isn't that far (straight distance wise) from the router itself. I am looking for a wireless card now since I have been running wired since I built my computer and never needed one. Any recommendations? Looking for $20-30 range, unless you need to spend more for an actually good one Thanks

Hi, I don't know if this is the correct subforum but lets hope so. I found an older monitor that only has VGA input and I wanted to use it as a secondary display. The problem I have is that the resolution is quite low for what I'm trying to achieve and DSR is not supported over analog outputs (I'm using a 970). My question is, could I use a Displayport to VGA adapter to enable DSR? I have not found any topics on this specific use case, so I wondered if someone tried something like this or if someone has enough knowledge to let me know if this would even work.

So I recently got a used monitor for free from a friend but it only supports VGA, I got an adapter and plugged it in but the power cable is to short to reach my main power strip that everything else is on, on dark screens or when it first powers on there is a phasing sort of flickering, is this because im using a different power source or that its on an adapter for VGA to DP?

Hello, to make it short: I used a m.2 sata drive in my old rig but the new mobo only supports pcie based ssd's. are there any kind of adapters so solve this? thx for the helt beforehand^^

I have been using tp-link AV500 powerline adapter for around a year plus now, but since last Saturday (18 February 2017) while i was playing dota 2 with 20 ping and 0 packet loss, my internet suddenly spikes to 1000+ ping with occasional packet loss and the game becomes unplayable. For the past year I was able to experience my internet plan's full speed - 8Mbps down 1Mbps up but now I experience between 1Mbps - 3Mbps down 1Mbps up. Other devices that connect through wifi is still able to reach the full internet speed. I have tried replacing the cable connecting my computer to the powerline adapter, the cable connecting my router to the powerline adapter, switching routers, using the pair button multiple times, changing power socket of the powerline adapter close to the router, unable to change the socket between the powerline adapter and my computer as there is only 1 socket there. Up to today (20 February 2017) I am still experiencing this and I've been speculating perhaps there is interference in the electric grid of my house, what are your opinions?

I genuinely thought this was worthy of it's own topic. After months of trying to find this solution, it just fell into my lap while trying to answer someone's question regarding connecting an Xbox to a monitor that only has DP1.2 and no HDMI2.0 https://www.shop.bt.com/products/startech-com-hdmi-to-displayport-converter---4k-hd2dp-BM05.html it's that bastard, it does exist.

So yeah. I need a 6pin PCIe to 4 pin molex adapter. I bought one of the 120mm Delta 250 CFM monsters and need to power it. I have a spare rail I'm not using on my PSU and want to hook it up to that. ALSO need to know if there's such a adapter that lets you hook the PWM connector up to the board for RPM control, but it still draw power from a dedicated line. I've seen fans with the feature built in, but never a stand alone adapter.

I was curious to know if someone knows of an HDMI 2.0 to Dual Link DVI (with 144hz 1080p support) Adapter that is relatively small and cheap (preferably). If you can't find one that's small or cheap, that's fine, really anything at this point would be fantastic. Thanks, --Mince

So I brought a Belkin HDMI to VGA adapter a while back in hopes to plug in an old CRT I got for a build project of mine. And of course, I didn't do my homework before I brought it. So now here I am, turning on my finished build, and I get a broken mess of a picture on the CRT. (Hope you like the retro/modern computer combo setup I have going on. ) I plugged the CRT into a laptop VGA and everything checks out. After Googling, I found out that HDMI to VGA only works on passive adapters? Both monitors are plugged into my GTX 980 with the CRT using the adapter to go into HDMI and the secondary display going straight to DVI. So I guess I can't use the CRT as an additional display (at least not with HDMI). Any ideas on how to make this work? If not, the only other ports I have on my 980 are DisplayPort and DVI-I.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/TPA3116-amplifier-board-24VDC-TPA3116-amplifier-4-1-channel-class-D-4-50W-100W/32643807536.html I linked an amp I'm looking at for my speaker setup. If you take a closer look at one of the pictures, the input is a white 3 pin connection that is near the potentiometers (it looks like a 3 pin fan header). How do i go from 3.5mm to that connection? Also, on a side note, the sub out is 100w, does that mean I would need a passive subwoofer?

I wonder if there has been made a USB-C (Male) To MacSafe 2 (Male) Adapter. I want this so i can charge my macbook of my desktop's USB C port, instead of having to grab my wall charger everytime, since it will be in my bag, since i use it at work. Does anyone know if this is possible or already a thing

Hi all, Recently I bought a new ultrawide monitor from LG (LG 29um68p to be precise) and I'm very happy with it. Even though I haven't been able to use it that often, since the adapter for my Macbook 12" had not been delivered yet UNTIL TODAY. I was very excited when I got it in the mail today, directly opened it and plugged it into my laptop and monitor, only to find out and be disappointed that the screen was acting up (Sort of flickering and/or screen tearing. Watch the video). I first thought it was the monitor, because I bought it second-hand. But after trying several laptops with multipe HDMI cables I came to the conclusion that the problem was limited to my laptop and adapter (I bought a cheap USB-C to HDMI and USB adapter, link below the post). Since I figured that it would most likely be the cheap hub from China. I contacted the seller but they haven't replied yet. I really would like to test different USB-C devices with the adapter to be 100% sure that it's the adapter, but I don't have any. Does anyone have an idea if it might be some settings that are set wrong or anything like that? And also if it's actually broken or that USB-C hubs usually have this problem? Thanks in advance! PS: plz don't destroy me for buying a macbook PS2: here's the link to the USB-C hub https://www.aliexpress.com/item/dodocool-7-in-1-USB-C-Hub-with-Type-C-Power-Delivery-4K-Video-HD-Output/32784093268.html PS3: I had to compress the video in order to upload it to here. So my apologies for the potato quality proof flickering720p.mov
