OK, I'm looking at upgrading my editing performance, a lot. I can just about afford an MSI X99 SLI mobo, 16GB DDR4 and a 5820K. my GPU is currently a 750Ti. I want DDR4 so X99 is really the only option, unless I wait for skylake. How much of a performdance will I lose by having a 750Ti in comparison to a 970 say (for editing in premiere and animation in after effects.) Thanks, James

So in the classifieds I found this http://linustechtips.com/main/classifieds/item/1740-evga-gtx-750-ti-2gb/and it seems like a pretty good deal. I have long been interested in the shield portable or maybe even shield tablet for game streaming but right now I have a Radeon 7770 so I can't use that feature if i were to buy one. I've been looking for a new graphics card for a little bit and although I have the money to buy a 970 or something I would really rather not. On my current 7770 I have to play some of my games at 720p which is a little bit annoying and the 750ti seems like it could push 1080p a lot better than my card considering my 7770 only has 1gb of Vram. I know the 750ti is no massive leap in performance over my 7770 but it seems like if I could sell my 7770 for like $55-ish dollars then the 750ti would be worth it. The ability to game stream, use Shadow Play, and the whole Geforce experience are other pretty big factors making me want to get this card. I would wait for the 300 series to come out but it seems like when those cards come out there will be no $100 card that can get a very decent performance. It's not like the 750ti has to last me forever either because I think it's wiser (and more fun) to just buy modern lower end cards rather than buy two 980s and expect them to last me 5 years. So ya I guess all i'm really asking is if you think $100 for a 750ti is a good deal and if you think I could sell my Asus Radeon 7770 for $55-ish. Thanks.

ok i have a msi GTX750 TI, its not the twinforz gaming one its the other one... sooooo i thought id OC it an stuff so i dowloaded msi afterburner turned up the clockspeed 250Mhz and the memory by 50Mhz and evrything was fine, i opened a game and then it kinda frose and the card was spinning its litle single fan at 5000% or something and i had to ctrl+alt+del and exit the game that way and then i removed the OC because i dont want to break my card... so whats a safe OC on my GTX 750 TI? did i do to much or something i have no clue im just generaly scared...

Just wondering everyone's opinions about if I should pick a GTX 750TI or a R9 270? Here in Denmark they can be had for the same price, and my (firm) budget is 165USD. I have heard people saying that they would pick a 750TI over a R9 270 and despite the R9 270 being more powerful. I have heard the 750TI can overclock better than the R9 270 and there is more headroom to do so. My main priority for my rig is that I want it to be quiet as possible under load and while still giving decent performance. I have a thermaltake smart se 530w power supply, that should be sufficient for a single card?

In the coming month or two I'll be building a new PC for personal use and some work applications. I have a budget for the GPU and I'm looking for a GTX 700 series card. I've set aside a cap of amount $170 USD with a few cards already in mind. I don't have any experience in comparing benchmarks, so I'm not sure of what card performs the best. The cards I found are all run-of-the-mill, mover fan designs, but if anyone knows of some blower type 750Ti-s (maybe a reference card) in my price range it would be awesome to hear about! Also if you know other sites/distributors that have the same products cheaper, or maybe just general feedback about the specific cards listed, I'd appreciate it a lot! Thanks you guys so much! Hi guyz i have a serious problem with my new GPU ( MSI GTX 750ti gaming) Whenever i plug it in my PC freezes before the BIOS splash screen. And before i updated the BIOS it froze at the splash screen and i couldnt do anything.it was not repsonding. But when i plug in my old gpu pc works just fine.Its a fairly new setup with the following specs. Any help will be appreciated. Motherboard: MSI 970 gaming (BIOS VERSION 22.1) It has click BIOS 4 CPU: AMD 8320E RAM: ADATA 8Gb 2133Mhz (2x4Gb) HDD: Western digital black 1Tb PSU: 600W (85 plus) - 2x Noctua NF-12 premium fans ( brown poop ones ) - Corsair h80i AIO cooling kit (includes 2x fans,pump and a radiator) - 1x RED 60c, long LED strip DVD-ROM I do think the GPU may be faulty so... WHAT I TRIED: Update bios Reset bios (through bios or through cmos) -Unnistall all old gpu drivers - Googled the shit out of this issue (found many similiar people with the same problem solving it by bios update or waiting - neither helped me)

I'm designing a computer for my mom. Right now she has a Lenovo Ideapad Y570. She's had it for about 5 years now. It has an Intel i7-2630QM running at 2GHz and 8 gigs of RAM. The thing is borderline unusable. It takes a solid 5 to 10 minuets to fully boot and once it finally does it's a nightmare to use. The RAM sits at 41% at idle and the CPU rockets up to 100% when you try to do anything. I've tried cleaning on multiple occasions and it barley helps. I can't reinstall because it didn't come with a backup disk and Lenovo wants us to pay for one. So I figure it's beyond time to upgrade. She uses it to serf the web, use turbo tax, use excel and she refuses to give up her ridicules desktop apps like calenders and weather apps and what ever the hell ells she has on there. This is what I’ve come up with. She likes really small cases so The Inwin H-Frame Mini is perfect but I’m concerned about the PSU. It's only 180w and as far as I know it's proprietary. She wants to run dual monitors and I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with on board graphics so I was quit pleased to find this tiny MSI 750ti. The only problem is while the card is single slot and half height the cooler is raised a little above the rear bracket and I’m not sure it'll fit because of it. I plan on under clocking the RAM for some added stability. I picked it mostly because it matches the board so nicely. As far as I know it's not too tall. The CPU is something that's really giving me pause. I'd like to get the price down some but I don't know how well an i5 or i3 would handle larger Excel sheets or turbo tax. I feel like an i3 wouldn't be enough but I was thinking an i5-4690s for it's low TDP. It would lessen the load on the PSU and be more manageable heat wise in such a small case. So to get to the point. Would the i5-4690s be enough, will the graphics card fit and will the PSU be able to Handel it all? Any suggestions on lowering price are welcome too. Overall I think this would be a pretty cool little computer. Would make a good media PC or steam box or even a cool gaming rig if you're tight on space in a dorm or something. Not really the point of this question, was just a thought. hey i just installed my new zotac gtx 750 ti and everyting works eccept that when i run heaven benchmark on extream my core clock is only 540 mhz and memory 2700 mhz it should be higher on both what can i do? power limit on msi afterburner is 100% temp only goes to 58 c which is nice but not when the card does not run at full speed can anybody help ? and thanks

So guys I can buy a used asus nvidia gtx 750 ti,it has been used for 6-7 months,the guy is selling it for 145 $,and the card dosn't come with its box,he paied it for 280 $,he has 13 transactions and he is 100 % loyal,he is saing that he didnt overclock the card and that everything is awesome and the card is 100% alright,in my country everything is more expensive than in usa,so this card now in my country costs about 230 $,so what do you think guys should I get it ? So i'm going to be building a good friend of mine his first gaming pc, hows it look? His Budget is around $500 USD, If he is willing to pay more I will throw on a 212 EVO. He will be doing moderate to light gaming. Gmod, Fallout, Skyrim, etc. Case: Cooler Master N200, $39 Motherboard: ASRock Z97M Anniversary, $89 CPU: Intel Pentium G3258, $69 (Planning on running this on stock cooler, not going to be doing crazy overclocking)! Maybe around 3.7 GHz Ram: G. Skills Ripjaws 8gb x 1 1600 MHz, $59 GPU: EVGA Gtx 750ti 2GB, $139 PSU: EVGA 500 Watt 80 plus, not the 80 plus bronze, $39 Storage: 1TB WD Blue, $59 Wifi: Yes he needs wifi, TP-Link WN822N, $19 As a PC warming gift i'm giving him an old keyboard and mouse and he already owns a monitor. Total of around $510 Any suggestions on changing anything or does it look pretty good? Thought it would be a good idea to get a second opinion before he spends $500. Thanks -
So I have been trying to squeeze any extra juice out of my PC that I can since I wont be able to upgrade for a few months, and would still like to do the best I can. I started to overclock my graphics card and found that I could squeeze 3GHz out of the memory speeds (and be stable) and 540MHz out of the Core (I'm having troubles changing that). These are my settings in afterburner, and the GPU runs stable on benchmarks and performs remarkably better than before - These are the default clock speeds of my card - I'm new to overclocking GPUs so I guess I'll find out if I can do anything different. I have a pretty heft fan curve on this since noise isn't really an issue to me. I would rather good cooling before quiet. Let me know of anything I can fix!

Prepping to buy a 750ti for my little brothers dust machine, I spotted a drop on prices all over PC Part picker. A quick news search brought up some articles. Summed up in this article at KitGuru, sourcing a french website Hardware.fr, It appears the all round price drop is certainly something to look into if you are looking at upgrading the yellow tinted computer in your grandmas loft. While not a significant drop, the cut certainly adds cement to the rumours that Nvidia are working on a 950Ti or similar GPU. Are we looking at another entry for discrete GPU's that don't require external power? Only time will tell. (Or Linus leaving his email open on the Wan show.) EDIT: For a more intersting story, See Bloodyvalley's post on the leaked specs and launch date for the 950 right here. Spoiler; apparently 90w, 17th August release, power not far below 960.

Would getting a 750ti last me a decent amount of time and be able to play all games well with at least medium or high settings? Even AAA titles.

Ok as the title states i want to know what settings i should use if anyone has any suggestions, i have:¨' 8GB of ram FX-6300 MSI OC GTX750TI id love some sugestions and i have played about 85-90% of the storry and then my framerate died fsr i dont get why it was "fine" before and shit now, im anyways geiing an upgrade to my PC in a couple of months and then il be able to play it maxed out i think, but untill then i want suggestions of settings, right now im on medium to low settings ongly FXAA as antialiasing and fulscreen windowd mode. what should i change and wich ones are CPU related and wich ones GPU related, my current setting are puching my cpu 99% and im ongly using half my VRAM so.. im not good with setting so i want some help please

I am building a gaming PC on a very tight budget and am wondering how these 2 cards compare; 750ti and the 760, in terms of a cost to performance ratio. I will probably go with a Windforce version or FTW edition depending on pricing. The newest games I will be playing would be Lords of the Fallen and Skyrim at 1080p at most. I will most likely be upgrading my graphics card to a 970 before I upgrade my gaming library. As I do not own a PC capable of gaming right now I am looking to build this ASAP. Editor's Note: I will be playing The Sims 3, Dragon Age: Origins, and Skyrim. I will not be doing any rendering or photo editing of any kind, at most I may try some streaming with OBS.

Recently I've started saving money to build my first and very own PC. I've done some research on a *few* things and I want you guys and gals to review what I'm about to list. But, as the the forum rules state, here are a few details! I'll be using this PC to mostly game, maybe I'll make a video or two who knows, web browse, and to watch YouTube. Nothing special. I'll be buying all of the parts off of Amazon, as I have a Prime account. Just as a personal preference, please try to say something actually constructive, I've been on other forums and I'm tired of seeing people glance at whatever build is being described and say something along the lines of "You could build something a lot better with that price". This just rubs me the wrong way for whatever reason. I think I've put together a decent computer that a can definitely upgrade in the future when I need to!

Can you help me out ? I've recently built a pc and am having some issues, it seems whatever graphics settings I have in a game I get the same fps e.g. skyrim high preset 8x anti-aliasing 8x anisotropic filtering I get 30-40fps at 1440x900 and on the low preset with both aa and aniostropic filtering off I still get 30-40 fps at 1440x900 this is the same with saints row 4 , fallout new vegas etc. My rig: -AMD (Richland) A6-6400K 3.90GHz (4.10GHz Turbo) Socket FM2 Dual-Core Unlocked Processor -EVGA 750ti sc -MSI A88XM-E35 AMD A88X (Socket FM2+) DDR3 Micro-ATX Motherboard -Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB (1x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 C9 1600MHz Single Module x2 -400W ARIAnet ACE Series Power Supply -1TB TOSHIBA SATA III 7200RPM Hard Drive - HDD

Hello. I am planning to build a computer and I am in need of assistance. This is the current build I plan on getting http://pcpartpicker.com/p/KT27ZL. Would an R9 270(non x) be better? An ASUS R9270 ($149.99) is $20 more than the 750ti ($129.99) on Amazon. Is the better performance worth the $20?
