Hey there guys!, Recently I picked myself up a corsair 750D, and I absolutely love it!, however I'm running into major issues with my side panel rattling awfully bad, tightening the thumb screws don't help at all, I was wondering if there was such thing as like noise dampening washers for the thumb screws, or some soft material long and thin I can put along the side for the side panel to sit on to give it more of a tight fit?

Do you think I could rotate 90° the optical bay to face one side or the other in the Obsidian 750D ? I would use an DVD drive only for maintenance or on very rare occasion, so opening the case to use it wouldn't bother me too much.

Amazon: http://geni.us/x87S1 NCIX: http://bit.ly/18UimmN The Corsair Obsidian 750D is one of the most efficiently laid-out cases I've ever seen. You can fit a ton of hardware in here, and without just making the case incredibly massive to the point where it can't even be moved once you've done a full build in it *cough* 900D *cough*

Well guys looks like the wait is over! The Corsair Obsidian 750D is here! This smaller than a 900D case keeps it's roots by having similar asthetics and space available inside for all types of cooling, storage, and modding options to be done! http://www.techpowerup.com/191158/corsair-announces-obsidian-750d-enthusiast-pc-case.html

Need to make a final decision on the case for my build (http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/bPMBzy). I am down to three choices. The candidates are: 1) The Corsair Obsidian 750D (http://www.ncix.com/detail/corsair-obsidian-series-750d-full-3b-90220.htm) 2) The Corsair Vengeance C70 (http://www.ncix.com/detail/corsair-vengeance-series-c70-high-5e-70457.htm) 3) The Phanteks Enthoo Pro (http://www.ncix.com/detail/phanteks-enthoo-pro-full-tower-6d-98838.htm) In the future I might be doing SLI so it would be nice to have that capability with good airflow. I'm looking for future proofing ability, upgrade ability, airflow and the best case for my needs out of these three. Sell me!

Hi, everyone, my name is Eric and I'm new here. I've watched Linus on YouTube since he was on NCIX's channel 2 years ago and I love all the content he posts. So I recently moved, and brought my main rig with me. I've had it in a Corsair Obsidian 750D for about a year now, but in the move, I pulled it a little too far from behind and the front leg got stuck and now the plastic part separated from the metal a little bit, one of the clips snapped. Anyways, I've been looking for a new case anyways as the current one is a little too large for my new living space. I need something with optimal airflow, mid sized, and really damn sexy. My rig (for sizing help): Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 5 HDD's (3.5") and 2 SSD's (Also 3.5") GPU: NVIDIA GTX 780Ti Windforce edition PSU: Corsair HX 750 I think that's all the stuff that matters when sizing a case. I've got an optical drive but I don't really need it if it helps I'm currently in London so please try to limit suggestions to something that I can ship here or I can pick up here thanks. If you all would be so kind as to suggest a nice case fitting my requirements, I'd be greatly in your debt. I love LTT and will hopefully be pretty active on the forums from here on out, as I've worked in computer building for a while now (3-4 years) but I currently need an outside opinion on cases cause I'm way too partial to Corsair. Thanks a ton for any help you guys give! - Eric TTG

Hi, I've been meaning to upgrade my cooling for my system for a while, as it's not the best. I plan on getting a Corsair H100i along with a 750D. And, I'm at a loss at what fans should be doing what... Here are some diagrams of the possible configs. I have in my head. (they're probably horribly wrong) 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) This one I just thought of as I was making the thread, and would probably be the one I would go with, but, meh, I ain't an expert. Possible issues with no. 4+5, are if I were to have my PSU facing down, it could possibly suck the exhaust air from bottom. And with no. 5, would the GPU (ASUS 7850 DCUii) get adequate cool air? (Bear in mind there are no side fans) Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read this. And also thanks for any help. =D (Edit: I forgot to mention I'll be using 2x AF120's and 2x SP120's by Corsair as well as the included case fans.) (Edit2: I thought putting it in the water cooling section may have been the best place for it, as it's the rad that is making me wonder what would be to best config. (sorry if I was wrong))

I am going to soon order a Corsair 750D and included are three AF140L fans. Just wondering what connectors they use 4 or 3 pin, as I will also need a fan splitter. If 4 pin is this splitter alright - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/30cm-phobya-y-cable-4pin-pwm-to-3x-4pin-pwm-black Thanks, this probably sounds like a stupid question, but I just want to make sure.

Is there any?

i need 5 fans for my build. i want 2 120mm high pressure ones on the h100i that exhaust air through the top. i want 2 140mm intake fans in the front which provide high airflow because the 780 is exhausting air in my case. and 1 120mm or 140mm exhaust fan in the back. i can put one in the bottom if its needed. i want to overclock my pc and the fans should be black or orange with no LED's. they need to be silent aswell!!! this is the most important thing. i dotn mind the standard fans but they are pretty loud. thanks in advance!

I currently have a x79 rig that i recently built for rendering, Photoshop, solid works etc. My full specs are Intel core I7 4930k Asus Rampage IV extreme black edition 2x Gigabyte GTX 780Ti OC Windforce edition 16GB vengeance Pro Red Ram Swiftech h320 cooler with x6 noctua nf-f12 push pull silverstone 850w strider with some black braided cables. Corsair Obsidian 750D and all other fans are 14cm noctua fans all fans use PWM mb control and speed reducers I am going to make a few aesthetic upgrades to it because i really want to build something that looks good because i respect this hobby of computer building.. The colour scheme is black and red the stuff i bought so far for the aesthetic upgrade BitFenix Alchemy SATA 6GB/s braided cable 30cm - Red x4 BitFenix Alchemy Internal USB Extension 30cm - sleeved red/black BitFenix Alchemy Internal Audio Extension Adaptor 30cm - Red BitFenix Alchemy 2pin I/O extension 30cm - Red x4 I also got an AX 860i which i will switch with my Silverstone because I have used it for a very long time and it is starting to strain and make weird noises. I also might switch my noctua fans for something else because they look like ass, even though they preform very well. I also ordered the red braided cables for the 860i here are some pics

Hey there guys, the other day I decided to pick up a 750D by corsair for a nice case upgrade, and I'm looking to customize it out, and need some opinions in terms of color scheme etc. So right now I have a MSI Mpower Z77, I was looking to take the yellow decals off the heatsink and leave it a matt black, I also have a H100i, and a reference 780 ti, a 750W corsair CXM with the green decal on the PSU. What I was thinking is picking up some individually sleeved green cables for it, and some green LED strips. I was going to get 2 LED strips each of the green, one for the top, the other for the bottom. but I'm in a debate if I should do 1 green led on the top, and 1 white led on the top, as I heard the white LED's make the cables really stand out. and then picking up some corsair fan's with the colored rings, and paint the white one's green. What are your thoughts? Would a black/green color scheme work well? or does anyone have any better ideas?!

Hi, I'm building a computer atm, and while installing my Maximus VI formula board into my Corsair 750D case I ran into a hich. You see, part of the board is not touching the prebuilt motherboard standoffs, in this case three of the screws can't be screwed in to the case. I've attached a photo so you can see for yourself. Anyone have any explanation/solution for this? The other holes has screws in them, no problem there, which makes me even more confused

I have been searching for ways to make my PC totally quiet, and still be able to overclock balls to the walls on air. I have a 4670k, and 780, and the H100i I was using coupled with the DirectCUII cooler from Asus on the 780 were just loud when at load. I got a NH-D14 and Arctic Accelero 3 from Arctic Cooling, and went from there. I had extra NF-F12s around so I decided to replace the little fans on the arctic cooler with those, and this thing is seriously dead quiet. I have it on a desk next to me at load, and it is staying super cool, and not audible. Temps from the Asus cooler at load went from 65C to 43C max with the NF-F12s barely running. The Asus fan control on my Z87-plus is so nice for keeping the fans off until they are needed. The only fans on are the CPU and GPU until the system reaches 45, which it tough. But yeah, Noctua fans are super quiet and effective, and Linus knows his stuff! http://imgur.com/a/KXLkF#0

Hello Linus Tech Tips Forum Members... So, i am planning a gaming/workstation build, and I am putting in the Corsair Air Series fans. I want the builds primary colour to be green (Green watercooling tubes, etc.), so I am planning to spraypaint the swappable rings on the Corsair fans green. The reason why I am posting this thread is, I don't know which fans i should put in the case (Corsair 750D). Should it be the Airflow fans or the Static Pressure fans. (AF vs. SP). I am planning to follow the airflow pattern that the attached picture shows. And I am thinking about putting a 360mm radiator in the 3 top fans, for custom watercooling. Please answer these questions. Which types of fans should i put where in the build? - (Rear 1x140mm, Front 2x140mm, Bottom 2x120mm, Top 3x120mm) "Air Flow or Static Pressure" - Where to put what? Where should i put the radiator? In the top (3x120mm), where the hot air passed through, or place a smaller radiator in the bottom (2x120mm)? Thanking you in advance!

Story Behind the Build Well the majority of hardware in this system were bought early in this summer, stuffed in a Cooler Master CM690 II. I love that case, plenty of space to work with as far as building the system and air cooling goes. In November I decided to upgrade the graphics card from GTX 650 to at least GTX 760 or equivalent in order to play Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty Ghosts properly (dat optimization of CoD nowadays...just...ewww... ). I ended up with MSI GTX 770 Lightning (if I was given a second chance now I'd go for a 780 or 290X instead). Despite how the internet describes the card being quiet and all, I just could not stand the fan noise while gaming. I then started considering water cooling the system. After extensive research turned out a mid tower like CM690 is just simply not for water cooling unless mods are involved. As much as I'd love to try it, I live in an apartment and do not have any proper tools to perform any modding at home. That left me with no choice but to look for a full tower for a full custom loop. Component List CPU: Intel 4670K (O.C.ed to 4.8G) Mobo: ASUS Z87-A (probably the most underpowered part of this build....) Ram: Kingston HyperX Blu Black 2x4G @1600MHz GPU: MSI GTX 770 Lightning (even Slight overclock causes the driver to crash from time to time, so it is running in stock OC now) PSU: Corsair TX650M SSD: Adata SX900 128G HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1T (dying right now, just bought a 2T for 90 CAD$ during boxing week) Case: Corsair 750D (bought it for 120 after MIR during black friday, absolutely love the case and the deal!!) Water Cooling Components: EK Supremacy Plexi Copper EK-FC680 GTX Lightning Acetal+Nickel EK-D5-RES 140 CSQ Acetal D5 Vario XSPC RS360 35 x 360mm Rad XSPC RX240 62 x 240mm Rad Feser 3/8 ID 1/2 OD White Tube Koolance black straight & 90 degree rotary compression fittings Bitspower G1/4" Silver Shining Aqua-Pipe Early stage plan After I've received everything I found out that I underestimated the size of pump-res combo. 770 Lightning being such a long card makes it impossible to hang the res up high like that. I was thinking about sitting the res directly on top or the bottom rad (which it did for about 2 weeks), but I just absolutely hate the look of it and how the tubes would run. So I borrowed a small drill from a friend and drilled some holes to mount the res slightly above the bottom rad, then had to remove HDD cage and hide the hard drive in 5.25 bay along with a newly purchased NZXT Sentry fan controller (to keep those non-adjustable cougar turbines slow & quiet ). I bought some Darkside sleeved white cables to match the tube color as well. Although next time I might try clear tube + colored coolant (sigh...water cooling IS addicting indeed, I am already dreaming of my next build here) The whole building process was a COMPLETELY mess, and filling the loop was as scary as it could ever be. Therefore I simply did not take any w.i.p. photos. The FC link that came with GPU waterblock leaked during the fill, so I had to drain the whole thing and re-assemble the loop without using it (which made the tubing route from GPU to top rad weird as you can see from the finished pictures below). I made sure it was bolted very tight to the waterblock, so I am sure it is either the O-rings that are bad or the FC link itself does not have a perfect enough finish on the contacting surface. PHOTOZ! Enough said, time for some pictures! Right after the build was done, my newly purchased camera kits arrived. So I took the chance and played around with them while shooting for this build LED is NZXT sleeved LED kit 2m. It takes up a PCI-e slot and goes around the border of 750D. The side of 750D is about 500x500mm ish, so 2m is just enough to cover a full loop around. I hope you enjoyed this "build log", and thanks for reading

Computer specifications: Case: corsair 750d (has 3 AF140 case fans - 2 in front, 1 in back) Processor: i5 2320 with stock cooler GPU: EVGA 770 4gb superclocked with acx cooler MOBO: stock dell mobo from an inspiron 620 RAM: 6 gb of samsung PSU: Corsair RM750 Problem: gets waaaaay too loud Happened when I got the new case, gpu, and psu. Revs up tremendously loud. One thing that may be causing this is that I have only 2 case fans connected right now(top one in front and the back) when the 750d is designed to use all 3 case fans it came with. Also the 750d has the top vent. This allows the noise to escape the case very easily. Could I possibly cover this up without damaging the components of my computer? I guess i just dont understand what could be causing this the AF140 fans are said to be "quiet" and the power supply is said to be "quiet". And I don't doubt these statements but for me something isn't right here.... My computer fans just get way too loud. ------ could more fans be the answer???? Any thoughts are appreciated. I know I might not be too clear right now but any help is appreciated. If you have questions please ask. I usually take my time on these posts but right now I just need some opinions on what could cause this noise. I don't even know where to begin.....

some of you might think you are limited to only what Corsair has given you. with some monkey-business, radiators and PSU lying around, this is doable and with BF pricing, pretty inexpensively. will require some cutting, moving and additional fabrication, but can be done. oh and the 360x 60 still can be mounted in the roof (needed the lighting).
