I have chosen most of the parts I want in my first PC build, but the time has come to choose a power supply. I believe 750 watts should be perfect to ensure I have enough power for future upgrades. This PC will be primarily for gaming. I would like to get a good power supply, however I am looking for one under $100. Does anybody have any PSU reccomendations? Any other comments about my build are appreciated! http://pcpartpicker.com/p/4CW6bv

So I'm planning on upgrading my computer by grabbing a Geforce GTX 750 Ti, an AMD A10-6800K, and a PSU that will be below. I just want to know if the 750 Ti would be compatible with my F2A55-M LK. I've only built one computer that I use, and it was with the help of my friend (he did like 75% of the work lol). I'm just confused about the PCIE 2.0 x16 on my mobo and the PCIE x16 required to install the graphics card. Also, someone brought up that it needs an external 6-pin PCI-E port or something and something about switching PSUs. Here's the links for all of the parts anyways, and thanks if you helped. I'm currently using a membrane keyboard to type this, and I want to buy a K70 RGB (don't convince me to buy something else). The only problem is that I also want to upgrade my CPU to a Pentium G3258 and upgrade my GPU to a GTX 750 Ti. I don't know if I should drop one or buy them all. I'll decide using the results of the poll, thanks.

The Story: So I'm upgrading my computer using an AMD Athlon X4 860K Black Edition, a new motherboard, and a GTX 750 Ti. I'd prefer to keep it all under $300; the 860K is $83, the GTX 750 Ti is $125, and the motherboard can be $92 at most. I'd like to keep it under $70. I will be doing very mild overclocking or none at all. Also, it needs to have DDR3 RAM. Whoever I give best answer gets a cookie and anyone reading this gets some emotes. Thanks! TLDR (Damn, you're lazy): Recommend a motherboard like this http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-F2A55-M-LK-DDR3-Motherboards/dp/B009JXHFCA , but compatible with the Athlon X4 860K, the GTX 750 Ti, and DDR3 RAM. The exact models: GTX 750 Ti: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IB9P1KG/ref=gl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=19X8JU163YKH9&coliid=I16QLSJ23T996X Athlon X4 860K Black Edition http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MU00IOQ/ref=gl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=19X8JU163YKH9&coliid=I1IMPEAN8BWEL9 Note to Mods Reading this: I didn't know what category to put this in, but it included a CPU, a motherboard, and RAM, so I put it in this section. Please don't hurt me.

Hello guys, So Ive been playing almost every game in my consoles (ps2, ps3) and now ps4 is out and i was looking about gaming pc. I heard is benefits and I was interested. BUT i'm such a noob in this subject (reason i'm doing this). I made some research on the last month like builds, what blabla means and all the stuff that i found. So basically i wanted to buy a ps4 first to play a game that is coming out in september but paying 400€+60€(game)(eventually a 50€ online sub.) was a bit pointless. I already picked some parts but I don't know if they will do my purpose: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/LZMdWZ already have optical drive and os. The idea is to make a system that can run "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" on 1080p and 60FPS (because that's what the ps4 will run from what they said). (game : http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=7313&game=Metal%20Gear%20Solid%20V:%20The%20Phantom%20Pain ) But i want to have some upgrade possibilities. I really like the idea of having a 4K "1337FPS"(I don't know what a computer is capable of right now) in the future. (Template below) 1. Budget & Location Well i live in Portugal, not all components are avaible in local stores but there are some alternatives so it's not a big problem My budget is 600€ max. But feel free to leave suggestions if you think I should spend a little more. 2. Aim Like i said before the main purpose is to play MGS but i recently installed CS:GO. 3. Monitors I don't want to spend more money now i have a monitor that I think it can run 1080p 4. Peripherals Don't need Thank you for reading guys, if you have any questions, ANY please ask.

We have a review coming soon for these drives, but for now we can tell you that these are RIDICULOUSLY fast drives that are going to deliver a performance level we have never seen before on consumer drives. Hi All, Just started folding yesterday with my FX-6300 and GTX 750 Ti. For some reason I'm getting extremely sub-par performance with my GPU. Around 1000 PPD. Running the latest client and latest NVIDIA drivers. Anyone know of any problems with this card? Or do I need to let it fold for longer to get an accurate reading (left it going for about 10 mins before stopping it)

Hi, This is my second time posting this topic as no one reply in the old one. I build my first gaming PC in 28th December 2014 and have a Seasonic M12ii EVO 750W power supply in it. It had coil whine that will come and go since I started using this computer. The more I use it the often and louder the coil whine gets. I have already confirmed that the sound is from the power supply because it is really loud. Is it something in my pc that cause the coil whine or is it just the power supply? Should I RMA the power supply or they won't RMA for me?

So I was going to play a game, opened it up and got 15 fps on the title screen with just a character. I went to MSI afterburner (don't overclock with it) to see if it was thermal throttling. It was at ~65C but when I looked at the core clock, it was 135 MHz! I have no idea why. The memory is also underclocked to 405 MHz. Tried turning it off and on again, and it's still there. Anyone know why? It was working just fine yesterday. I was getting my 1080p titanfall killstreaks at 60 fps. But srsly, why is it happening?

Hi I don't like to overclock because i'm always concerned of what might happen, but today i got a GTX 750 1Gb (To play at 720p) and decided to overclock it. I readed a few guides, downloaded EVGA PrecisionX, and just started playing with the core clock. I'm scared of what might happen, so i wanted to come here and see if i was doing well, and if i should keep overclocking or stop now. The temperatures are staying in 59°-63° since i started Valley Benchmark. I overclocked first the Core until i reached +135, then stopped and went with the memory, never touched voltages and the valley is running loops since an hour ago. No artifacts and no memory failures. ( Color flashes i think? ) What should i do? Thanks and sorry about my bad english. EDIT: There i upgraded a picture from the ending of the benchmark and the overclock settings.

I am thinking about doing a very low-budget build but have a question concerning my psu. I was wondering if a CX430 would be enough for an i3-4150 and a GTX 750 from ASUS, or if I needed a CX500. Thanks!

Hello everyone! As the title says: which 750Ti has a silent/0dB/fanless mode? I know the Asus Strix has it and there's a Palit that's completely passive...anything else? Opinions on these two GPUs? Grazie

Prepping to buy a 750ti for my little brothers dust machine, I spotted a drop on prices all over PC Part picker. A quick news search brought up some articles. Summed up in this article at KitGuru, sourcing a french website Hardware.fr, It appears the all round price drop is certainly something to look into if you are looking at upgrading the yellow tinted computer in your grandmas loft. While not a significant drop, the cut certainly adds cement to the rumours that Nvidia are working on a 950Ti or similar GPU. Are we looking at another entry for discrete GPU's that don't require external power? Only time will tell. (Or Linus leaving his email open on the Wan show.) EDIT: For a more intersting story, See Bloodyvalley's post on the leaked specs and launch date for the 950 right here. Spoiler; apparently 90w, 17th August release, power not far below 960.

So, I got the Newegg deal for the Rosewill Capstone 750W, about 80 bucks IIRC, but I have found a deal to get the Corsair CX750 for about $73. Am I right in thinking I may as well return the Rosewill and go for the CX? Any angles I'm missing here?

So it's my brother's birthday soon and he told me he wants a gpu for his PC, and as the only one in the house with a minimum knowledge on PC parts, he (or rather, everyone) asked me to decide which to buy. His PSU is pretty much as generic and horrible as possible http://puu.sh/cC3j5/f96e7c46dc.jpg so I thought the best choice would be a GTX 750 as it is, if I'm not mistaken, the card that has lower watt usage. Considering PC hardware is overpriced where I live (and hard to find sometimes), there's not really many other options: http://www.gameron.com.ar/index.php?id_product=236&controller=product&id_lang=1 http://www.gameron.com.ar/index.php?id_product=237&controller=product&id_lang=1 From those two above, which one should I get? I'm kinda confused about the "ZONE" thing. He wants to be able to play Fifa 15 decently (not necessarily maxed out) and other games like CSGO. His PC Specs are: AMD A8-3870K, 8Gb Ram, the crappy PSU I linked a picture to above, and sadly I don't know if his monitor is 768p or 1080p. Is the GTX 750 "Zone" good enough for Fifa 15 (needing a better gpu in case the game is horribly optimized doesn't count) or should I get the 750TI? Here's the links for other options (R7 250X, R7 260X and R7 265) but I don't know if it's a good idea due to the PSU. http://www.gameron.com.ar/index.php?id_product=287&controller=product&id_lang=1 http://www.gameron.com.ar/index.php?id_product=162&controller=product&id_lang=1 http://www.gameron.com.ar/index.php?id_product=259&controller=product&id_lang=1 Notes: - Of course, it'd be better to spend as little as possible, but if it's legitimately worth it to pay the extra $400 for the 750Ti, it's fine. - This may be kind of important; the people selling the GPUS Do not validate the warranty if the product is damaged for using a generic psu. So because of this, I want to make sure the PSU can handle it (at least for a while until he can get a better one) - The current USD/Argentine peso exchange ratio is 1:14,3 so $2200 would be $153USD

Hello all! I'm considering crossfiring my current MSI R9 270x 2G with another one soon, I've looked around and I should have the wattage required, I'm, using an EVGA Supernova NEX750B for power. I have looked and found that I need around 50 amps on my 12V rail, and I have 61 amps available. my only issue is that my PSU only supports 3 6+2 VGA cables. Here's where I started digging. http://www.evga.com/support/manuals/files/110-B1-0750.pdf This is where I found that I may be able to use my CPU2 plug for the 4th 6+2 power lead. The CPU2 rail has 20 amps by itself and is the only plug on 12V3 (rail 3 of 12v I'm assuming) so it ought to be doable. Now I need to either adapt my own CPU2 cable to a 6+2 male end or find another suitable cable that will plug into CPU2 and terminate in a 6+2 VGA. Don't tell me to get a better single card please. I know it might be a better performer but this is my goal. Thanks in advance for your help!
