I am running a PC with Ryzen5 3600, G.Skill Trident Z Royal 3600MHz 2x8 on a msi B450 Tomahawk Max. From the start, even after enabling XMP the RAM speed was capped at 2133 MHz. I had to manually set the speed at 3600 from bios. Just recently I bought a set of 3 case fans (1stplayer firebase G3). It is powered directly by the PSU via molex. The problem is after installing the fans when I powered on the pc it powered on and off a few times and then showed a warning saying "Memory overclocking unsuccessfully" and sets the RAM speed back to 2133. For PSU I am using the Cooler Master MWE Gold 650W so I don't think it's a power issue. can anyone help

Hello! So i'm upgradeing from an rx 570 to a 6750xt or 3070 video card, and i'm wondering, my silentiumpc gold 650w psu is going to be enough for it? I searched up thousands of websites, to try to find a good decison but what i found is 50-50. My specs: -b550 tomahawk -r5 3600 boosted to 4200mhz -2x8gb 3200mhz ballistix ram -i have like 6 fan in the pc including the cpu fan -obviously the 650w gold silentiumpc psu -1x nvme 2.0 ssd -1x 7200rpm hdd Im really into competitive games, and im playing them too. Therefore i like to change things in windows, and in my pc, which maybe can cause more power. Only overclocked the cpu, i dont want to oc the new gpu, or anything else! Using an 1920x1080p monitor with 165hz, maybe in the future i can upgrade for a better resolution (sorry for my english, its not the best ._.)

Hey everyone, I'm working on a new build but I've reached a roadblock in deciding on which PSU is most suitable for it. The components I've decided on so far being CPU: Intel Core i5-12400F Motherboard: MSI B660M Mortar DDR4 RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL 2x8GB 3600Mhz GPU: GTX 1660 Super (to be carried over from current PC) My PSU choices are split between Cooler Master G700 Gold, MWE Bronze V2 230V 700W, Seasonic Core GX-650, SF Legion HX Gold 650W I'm aware the wattage is more than enough for my 1660S but I'd like to keep the PSU for the long term when I plan to upgrade a few years down the road. I have my eyes on the 3060/3060Ti but unfortunately I don't see that happening so soon. So with that upgrade goal in mind, which PSU between the four would you guys think would be the best choice? Thanks in advance.

Budget (including currency): ... Country: Nepal Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Power Supply Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): So I am planning to do my first build with a Ryzen 5 3600 and a 2060(gigabyte maybe) and was looking for suggestion on which power supply to use. Also, will it be ok if i use a 650W psu for this build or should i get a 750W or something else? Some of the PSUs that i have thought using are: i) Gigabyte P650b( 650W) -> 80+ Bronze (Probably not gonna use this after the Gamers Nexus review on the 750W) -> Rs14,500($122.19 USD) ii) Thermaltake Smart BM2 750W -> 80+ Bronze -> Rs12,500($105.34 USD) iii) 1STPLAYER SteamPunk 650W -> 80+ Gold -> Rs14,800($124.72 USD) iv) CORSAIR CX650 650W -> 80+ Bronze -> Rs13,500($113.77 USD) v) CORSAIR CX750 750W -> 80+ Bronze -> Rs16,200($136.52 USD) Please suggest what should i do and which onw to choose?

bought a evga bq 650w from microcenter the other day, and once I plug it in for the first 10 minutes of being idle, the fan is normal. any thing after that is when it gets very loud.

I don't have any other good choices, the 750w versions are beyond my reach, so are the next step up in either brands companies lineup, Although I'm willing to save up a bit more if it's a huge step up in safety, or a decent step up in efficiency. Mostly gaming, maybe some nightly mining. 3060ti (200tdp) and intel 95 watt chip of some kind. Also I might mine on the 3060ti at 125watts or so. Thanks for reading

Hey there, I need help picking right PSU, and I am a little overwhelmed by the PSU Tier list chart ... Purpose = to have VR capable machine ON-THE-GO, as my sister is artist and will move whole setup every now and then. Therefore I would like to choose good and not overpriced PSU, which doesn´t weight as much as elephant. Needs to be packed in as small case as possible, however i could NOT go for ITX, as i need extra PCIe slot for Intel WiGic card (part of HTC VIVE Pro WIRELESS set). PLEASE, use THIS SHOP - Alza.sk ... if it´s not there, theres 90% chance I won´t find it anywhere around... Recommended wattage by PSU calculator was 650W, I was thinking about 750W to give it a little room for light OC and stability SPEC = Intel i5-10600KF, Gigabyte RTX2070 Super WindForce OC 3X 8G , MSI MPG Z490M Gaming Edge WIFI (mATX) + HyperX 2x8GB 3200MHz CL16 Predator Case = GameMax Silent HILL/H606 THANK YOU LTT EDIT // My budget for whole system is 1500€ at most, I am already maxed there, counted approximately 90-110€ for PSU Again, she will travel with 3 of those PCs around Europe, so I HAVE TO go with that case, the only case smaller than this was either ITX or cost like 200€ ..

Hi everyone! First of all thanks for letting me join the group.. I have a bit of a dilemma.. I had a i7 3770 with a GTX 1070 and a CX650M PSU. Really worked well but I had to upgrade the processor as it was struggling a little, I went with a MSI B450 tomahawk max and new 3200mhz Corsair lpx ram (16gb) and a R5 2600x. I know the cpu maybe a little weak but at least I can upgrade it in the future when I can afford to. I sold my old pc bits and bought a Rx 5700 xt as it sounded like a good idea at the time and had nothing but issues. Black screen and red light on my motherboard so I send it back. In the meantime I sold my old GTX 1070 (MSI armour) I am awaiting my refund and decided I want to go back to Nvidia but I'm torn between buying the RTX 2070 super or the extra for the 2080 super. I always like playing on 1440p on the highest settings I can, my 1070 did do very well I have a 75hz monitor and for the most part I was getting above 60fps when the Rx 5700 xt worked I was very happy with it's performance. I am a little worried about my PSU tho.. I know the recommended is 650w for the 2080s and that's what I have but I don't know what's best to buy as I really can't afford a 2080s and a new PSU so do I.. Buy the 2080s and 650w will be fine or do I go with the 2070s and I'm prety sure my PSU is ok? I'm trying to get the maximum time out of my pc as it's took a lot to be able to upgrade it so don't think I'll be upgrading for a long while, maybe a better CPU in the future when the current 3000 series comes down in price a bit. Thanks for any advice I really appreciate it. I've watched several yt videos on the cards and apparently the 2080s is only about 10% faster but I'm guessing that it will be more future proof

So cosair do 2 PSUs both at 650W, the VS 650w and the RMx 650W. The VS 650 is half the price. For my gaming build with a ryzen 7 and an RTX 2070S do I really need the twice as expensive RMx or can I just use the VS650?

Hi, I built a system 4 years ago and a few days ago my PSU(Corsair CX750) failed. I need to purchase a new PSU for my system. My friend mentioned that I don't need 750W PSU and added that my system will run very well with 650W PSU. So here I am asking you experts to guide me please. Which PSU I should buy? System specifications:- CPU : Intel core i7 4790K CPU Cooler : Corsair Hydro H60 Motherboard : Asus Z97-A RAM : Corsair Vengeance 8 GB DDR3 x 4 = 32 GB Storage: 2 SSD + 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD GPU: GTX 970 Optical Drive: DVD-RW Monitor : 22inch LED monitor PC Part Picker Link : https://in.pcpartpicker.com/list/Q3R4zY I'm from India so I have very limited options to purchase PSU. Your guidance will immensely help me. Thank you

this is the new build by yours truly, im sticking with the evo 970 m.2, as im merely indecisive. if you all have any ideas, cheap or just the tiniest bit more expensive (as this is meant to be budget for its power). see the clickable text below below for the build. //PCPARTPICKER BUILD//

Hello, I had a relatively stable build using a 7700k at 4.8GHz and a GTX 1080 at 2GHz core clock, powered by a Corsair TX650M 650W PSU. I recently replaced the GTX 1080 with a GTX 1080Ti, which worked like a charm. I started overcklocking it untill it crashed Furmark (and not the whole system like the previous card). A monitoring app displayed 110% power usage when clocked at 1.8GHz and 71°C. Later, I noticed fps slowly dropping in games and power usage dropping as well under 75% when GPU usage was still at 99%. Another Furmark test confirmed the GPU wouldn't go over 80% of its rated power while under 63°C and synthetic load. Can it be that my power supply is not powerful enough to overclock the card + CPU? Why would the slow down only occur after wome time then?(30 min) Thank you for answers

Hey, I live in India and I recently bought a Corsair RM850x fully modular PSU but when I opened it up I found what could be a bit of a mix-up, the power cord for the PSU provided in the box appeared to have the UK plug type (with flat 3-pin connectors in a plug marked to be 13A). But the plug connectors in my region are rounded, with the sockets for high-end appliances rated to be what I think is 15A (anyone from India here might clarify, I'm not much of an expert in this). What I want to ask is, I do have my older Antec VP650P (650w) PSU which has the correct power cord for my region, so can I just use this cord for the RM850x? And is the connector at the PSU end universal for all power supplies? I'm asking cuz just because something appears to fit might not always mean that its meant to be used that way. Also, the wattage difference between the PSUs...is a power cord which came with a 650w PSU only good enough for something of that wattage? The new PSU in my case can pull upto 200w more from the wall** than what my old one was rated for. ** in my case, an APC uninterrupted power supply. Or should I just ask Corsair/my seller for a new plug? I'm asking because I just got a brand new 1080Ti and I don't want to subject it (or my hard drives, Mobo and CPU for that matter) to any unwarranted experimentation on my part. And I don't want to use adapters for this very reason. The plug my RM850x came with:
