Been using my current rig for a little over a year now and a month or so ago I noticed it got insanely dusty in just a year, even more so compared to the pre-built system it replaced which didn't get as dusty over a period of 6 years. Since building and up until yesterday, I've only utilised one of the 3 preinstalled 140mm fans that came with the Mastercase Pro 5 as an exhaust, leaving the front two unused. Right now I'm using the top most of the front two fans along with the exhaust. For the time being anyway. And just to note, I have my PC on the floor due to my desk literally being just two thin pieces of mdf with cardboard sandwiched between (and Ikea have the gall to charge £25 for it. The Wanks.). I want to obtain positive air pressure in my case so that it doesn't get as dusty as it did but I have no idea how. Ideally I want two 140mm fans in the front(that are both running and not just the one) as intakes and a 140mm fan in the back as an exhaust. I know I cold have a third in front but the drive cage in the basement would pretty much block it. What I don't know is if this would result in positive or negative air pressure. Hell. I don't even know if currently having the one front intake and one rear exhaust is currently positive or negative. Getting an answer to both of these would be nice. I have to run one front fan at the moment since the second can't reach to either of the two headers at the bottom of my z270 Gaming M5 (i have no extensions...yet) and my system gets real bratty and fussy if I plug both into the two closest headers(All headers are working. it's just if these two are both used and I don't know why. Headers are Sys_Fan4 and Pump_Fan1.) Also, I'm currently thinking about replacing the three DC 140mm fans that came with the case with some decent pwm fans of the same size but I don't know which ones are worth throwing money at. Airflow is what and I honestly couldn't give two shits about RGB. Also Black, fans have gotta be black so they don't look out of place with my case.

I recently bought a Netgear router to use as an access point. I followed this video and followed his instructions. I worked for a month and the wifi just stopped working. Note that the internet works when plugged into the same router. I use Att router/modem for the back side of the house and I made this access point for the second floor and the front of the house. I reset the router but didn't reset the settings. I can't access the Netgear access point anymore without resetting the whole thing. I can do that but I rather not do that every month. I just want it to work with me not messing with it every month. Thanks!

Hey there. I am going to buy the R5 2400G and I have a question, what is the max RAM speed? In AMD page list that the max is 2667, but I want to put in the mobo 8GB (2x4) Corsair LPX 3000mhz RAM. I dont want to overclock memory because several reasons. Can I put that 2 sticks paired whit the Ryzen? This APU and the 2200G works much better whit faster RAM (VEGA graphics requires fast speeds). Or I need to buy 2666mhz sticks (or lower speed) and overclock it? Greetings

Ok so I just recently got a new B350 mobo and I decided to go to the Ryzen 5 1600 website just to refresh myself on a few things. As I was doing so I scrolled down and saw a link to another page that was titled "Enmotus FuzeDrive™ for AMD Ryzen™" with the words underneath saying "Accelerate your PC with Faster, Smarter, Easier storage technology. Exclusively for AMD Ryzen™ desktop processors." When I saw this I obviously clicked on it and when to the link I saw what looked like a cool way to speed up any HDD (assuming you have Ryzen) with the website saying things like "a way improve storage performance for everyone with a Ryzen desktop processor" and "improving storage performance and lowering loading times." Thinking to myself that sounds great and amazing but how does it work exactly. And yes I know it cost money I'm just curious. Also, good job AMD trying to find an answer to Optane (even though it might not be amazing) Links: https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-5-1600 https://community.amd.com/community/gaming/blog/2018/01/10/faster-easier-simpler-storage-technology-enmotus-fuzedrive-for-amd-ryzen http://www.enmotus.com/amd

I got my hands on a brand new ryzen 5 1500x, sealed and unopened should I sell it and use the money for a 1600? or should I keep it? GPU: 1070

Guys, what if I want to overclock the ryzen 5 1600 or ryzen 5 1600x (cause i want to buy one of them), so will the CPU cores frequency stuck, for example, in 3.8GHz forever. I mean if I overclocked it to 3.8GHz, it will be in 3.8GHz everytime. Or will it be just boosting to 3.8GHz when it's needed! For example, if it's in idle i'll be 2GHz or smth, then it's in load it'll be 3.8GHz. Thanks for answers!

Can you configure raid 5 and keep files currently on one of the drives so that the second disk inserted just mirrors the current disk with files or is this not possible and both disks have to be empty when configuring a raid?

We've all got older parents/grandparents, right? If yours are like mine, they'll definitely need some help with using a computer or even a phone. Here's 5 mistakes my grandparents have made. 5. Accidentally sending the wrong thing to someone on a mobile phone. Here's actually a funny story. My grandma was planning a reunion of some form for her school group and needed to send someone a text message. After my dad spending a while teaching her how to open the text messaging app and start a new conversation, my grandma just sends 'Ho' to this woman. It would definitely shock me if I got a text message that just said that! 4. Buying a computer that has too much power for their needs, meaning it's expensive. Okay, so my nan had an Acer Aspire Windows XP laptop. You can understand she wanted to upgrade. It had like 1GB RAM and a Celeron processor. So my dad and I spent hours on electronics retailer's sites working out which laptop would be a good fit for her. After a while, we went into a store and started talking to a salesman. Now, all my nan does on her computer is web browsing, email and Word. She didn't need this computer. It had 8GB RAM and a 1TB HDD, keeping in mind that my nan has like less than 5GB of files in total. 3. Giving a computer-illiterate person a mobile phone. Okay, so my grandma had been harping on about getting a mobile phone. My dad, doing the right thing, bought her a $2 Virgin SIM and gave her one of his old phones. These are brick phones so you can understand where I come from. After her complaining she couldn't type properly on it, my dad went and bought her one of those cheap $50 phones locked to a network. It was just something that she could use for emergencies and texting. After using it for a while, she was saying that maybe she should switch back to the old phone. You can understand how frustrating this was. 2. Leaving the phone off the hook. Most people get worried when their parents/grandparents don't answer the phone. In this case it was for the stupidest reason; they had left the phone off the hook. They have a Telstra-provided handset (yes, I live in Australia and yes, my grandparents are with Telstra) and it works fine. They have a wireless handset so they can talk away from the actual phone but this was funny. My mum was getting a bit worried that they weren't answering their phone but it was after we gave them a mobile phone so my mum was able to correct the issue. 1. Buying the same brand of a product that didn't work. This one frustrated my dad the most. So my nan used a HP printer and it was definitely acting its age. It started to be stupid and sometimes wouldn't print so my dad told my nan that she will need a new printer. We didn't see her for like a month and then, out of the blue, we go over to her house and she starts saying that she bought a new printer. After my dad asked my nan what printer she bought, she replied with 'I bought a HP'. This frustrated my dad so much. That's 5 mistakes my grandparents have made, let me know what your's have made. Oh and one more, my nan got a virus from clicking in an email. Saved the stupidest till last

I have a question regarding audio cards. I currently have a ASUS ROG Xonar Phoebus 7.1 sound card and I am using a Razer Tiamat 7.1 headset. They both work great, but the sound card picks up a lot of electrical noise from other components. One example that I can mention; While in the CS GO menu I bring up the console and change max fps from 150 to 0(no cap) and I will instantly start to hear squeelz and buzzing in the headset.(not noticeable while playing so I havent cared too much). Also while playing some other games the sound can sometimes start to distort and "jitter" as if the sound files are corrupted and sometimes cause crackle noises while playing sounds in game. I dont know if this is a sound card problem or game problem. It happens alot while playing Kerbal Space Program and Planet Coaster. Is this the sound card failing? I have all the newest drivers. Question I have is, will my onboard sound from the motherboard be just as good(or better) or should I keep the sound card and just "overlook" these noises and bugs from it? Motherboard is a MSI Z97 Gaming 5.

Hey guys! The reason why I got into pc gaming was because of the mods, especially on GTA5. But now that I have a pretty good pc, I don't ever mod GTA5 because I still want to be able to play GTA Online, but without having to uninstall and re-install mods everytime I switch from Story mode to Online, or vice-versa. (As it is a pain in the @ss to get the correct vehicle files back to normal) I watch Kwebbelkop's videos a lot, I think he has clean GTA to play GTA Online races with ROBUST, and modded GTA to make GTA5 Mods videos. But how could he be doing this? Would he have a cracked version of GTA5 to run mods and legit GTA5 to play Online? Or is there any way to run clean GTA5 without mods and GTA5 with mods on. If anyone wants to help me via another chat (like Steam or Skype), you can PM me and I'll give you my contacting info. When I'm done, I'll be posting a new topic to help other people out who want the same thing. Thanks in advance! -Daniel

So I've been on the fence for a new pc case due to my current one being... well... old and too... dirty/not clean/not sleekish (whatever it's the spec 02) and I have decided on the mastercase pro 5, (I know the mastercase maker 5 is coming... I don't want it.) My question being that since I have been thinking of ways to mod it I was wondering if the honeycomb pattern on the inside of the front panel and top rad spot is removable.

Is the iPhone 5 completely terrible? I didn't think so until what is in the attached image happened this morning. I didn't drop it or anything, I was just holding it and texting and then I felt something else other than the phone in my hand, then I saw what had happened, I then put my case on and am probably never going to take it off again...any tips on getting this to stay in place again or why this even happened in the first place?

Hey everyone! I have an odd problem on both computers I own, one is windows 7 and the other is windows 10 (I will specify which machine is which, and the specs down below). My problem is actually after I play Grand Theft Auto 5. While I am playing, I get a steady smooth 60 fps on medium or low settings (depending on the computer), which is good enough for me. I get no freezing, stutter, or anything like that while I am playing. However, after I close the game, my computer becomes extremely slow. It takes it a good 2 minutes to open another chrome tab. It progressively gets faster over an hour, but never restores to the normal speed until I restart my computer. The resource monitor does not say anything is running abnormally. It is all normal idle values. I know that Grand Theft Auto 5 has some hitches still, but this seems odd. I am just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this, and/or has a fix for the problem. I do a lot of video editing, 3D renders, FumeFX, and Realflow Projects, but I rarely experience lag like this on these computers. SPECS: Windows 7 PC: RAM: 8GB Kingston HyperX White 1866Mhz DDR3 HDD: 1TB Western Digital Black CPU: i5 4690 (Non K), 3.50GHz clock speed GPU: MSI GTX 760 4GB GDDR5 (This plays GTA5 at 60 fps on medium) Windows 10 PC: RAM: 16GB Kingston HyperX Blue 1600MHz DDR3 HDD: 1TB Western Digital Blue CPU: i5 3570k, 3.4GHz clock speed GPU: Zotac GTX 560 1GB GDDR5 (This plays GTA5 at 50-60fps on low) I know quite a bit about computers and the operating systems, so don't worry about dumbing anything down for me to understand. Thanks for all your help!

I was installing CrystalDiskMark5 and skipped the box where I could uncheck the "install additional software" blah blah. Now Yahoo is my default search engine and I have some random homepage and I can't get it to default back to Google. Normally, it will stay as Google for a few hours but will then default back to Yahoo, often after I restart the system. I've tried reinstalling Chrome and even tried using Firefox. How do I go back?

Just walking in downtown Bangkok, Thailand. Pull the phone up and run speedtest and got this... Since unlimited data unlimited speed plan start at $30 a month here, probably cancel my fiber soon...

*By unlimited data, we meant that we'll throttle you after 50 GB. This ain't your home broadband son." - Your greedy wireless carrier Sources: IEEE Spectrum, CNET, The Verge, Qualcomm First of all, I'm glad that no wireless carrier at the moment is calling their "next generation network" 5G just yet. Remember when 4G specs where not yet released and yet carriers rushed to have their own brand of 4G? AT&T and T-Mobile called "HSPA+" 4G even though it's more 3.5-3.75G. Sprint and many carriers around the world called WiMax as 4G (Remember the HTC Evo 4G) which is more like WiFi on steroids (IEEE 802.16). and the LTE we know today is not truly 4G as it doesn't met the required specifications of 4G so it's just 3.9G. The only one considered truly as 4G is LTE-Advanced. How 5G works? IEEE Spectrum said that it needs, millimeter waves, small cells, massive MIMO, and full duplex which can be found from their YouTube channel. I know someone can explain this to me better but what if carriers refarm and repurpose their existing low frequency spectrum to 5G? I think adding small cells in towns could be just as expensive as upgrading towers and base stations. Although when they said that there would be too much bandwidth left carriers might brick back unlimited data but I'll take that with a grain of salt. While the idea is very good, I don't think it will be a sustainable business model in the long run because radio waves can only carry so much data and has to be shared with many people in a vicinity of a tower unlike a dedicated fiber to the home (FTTH) which can be true unlimited data. But of course, with a next generation network needs new hardware like phones nowadays with LTE modems won't take advantage of 5G. Also, "unlimited data" kinda lost its meaning because wireless carriers butchered its definition because of their marketing departments. Instead of being true unlimited data without high speed data caps, no throttling and no overages, nowadays it just meant that they'll not charge you overages. Now Qualcomm just tested their own 5G modem on a mobile device and they even release a future 5G smartphone reference. An antenna the size of a dime? That's big. But if it means slightly thicker phones with more battery inside, I'm fine with it. I hope 5G will stop Apple and other OEMs obsessions why skinny phones with dinky batteries. Maybe in 2019 Apple will make an iPhone as thick as the iPhone 4/4s (9.3 mm) but with 4000 mAh battery.
