Hello guys, I'm looking for help on an issue I'm having, I recently bought a Sapphire R9 390 (I don't know if it's the 390 or 390x ) 8GB graphics card (I bought it for $100 locally because I was looking for a cheap GPU while I get a RTX 3080 or 6800XT) The guy that sell me the card try it in front of me and the card worked perfectly but when I put in in my PC I doesn't work, I have no video signal of any of the ports (except for DVI I haven't tried that one because I don't have a neither a DVI cable or monitor I've tried on 2 different displays: 1. LG 34UC80-B (3440x1440) I tried both HDMI and DP and the other monitor is 2. LG 27UD58-B (3840x2160) also i tried HDMI and DP The card seems to be fine because it is warm (not hot) to the touch when the PC is turned on, the fans don't spin (I have had other triple fan cards that on idle the fans won't spin so I don't know if this is normal or if it's an issue) I have tried all of the PCI slots of my motherboard, I've tried the card on 2 of my PC's, I've tried pressing the BIOS button on the card and it lights up blue but thats it, I have tried using 1 double 8pin power conector and 2 8 pi single power cables and nothing... i don't know if the card is damaged or whats my issue so if any of you could help me i would really appreciated Here are the specs of the 2 PCs i have tried the GPU on: 1st System: CPU: Threadripper 2950X CPU Cooler: Deep Cool Castle 360 Motherboard: Gigabyte X399 Aorus Xtreme RAM: 64GB Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 3000MHz C15 Storage: Samsung 1TB M.2 Nvme Powe Supply: EVGA SuperNova G3 1000W 80+ Gold OS: Windows 10 Pro _________________________________ 2nd System: CPU: Threadripper 1950X CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Wraith Ripper Air Cooler Motherboard: AsRock X399 Phantom Gaming 6 RAM: 48GB Teamgroup T-Force Night Hawk 3200MHz C16 Storage: Arata 1TB M.2 Power Supply: Asus ROG Strix 850W 80+ Gold OS: Windows 10 Home

I'll take any of the following low-profile and low-power (as in, does not require 6-pin power) cards. GTX 1650 GTX 1050 ti GTX 1050 GTX 950 RX 560/560X (if it is compatible, which I'm not sure of)

Okie ~ I have a system with an AMD 390 in it and I have obtained an NVIDIA quadro card. Is it possible to use both in the same system? What I want to be doing ideally is using the quadro for CUDA stuff in premiere when editing videos and possibly for physX though I don't think the physX thing is possible. What I need to know: Can I use the quadro with my 390 for CUDA acceleration? Can I use the quadro for physX processing alongside the 390? Will physX actually make a difference?

Hey guys so basically I've recently been having this issue where my graphics card spins up on boot however it doesn't post. I've tried everything i can think of like pushing the switch to toggle uefi, cleaning out thoroughly, reseating it. I have a 850 watt evga 80+ gold power supply so power shouldn't be an issue. Mobo works fine because the hdmi displays from the mobo, just not the gfx card. Any suggestions?

Intel's upcoming 8th gen CoffeeLake cpu will need a brand new chipset. So far we only know about the Intel Z370, but according to a leaked Intel roadmap, there is another chipset called Intel Z390. No information about this chipset was known until now. A representative from Eurocom accidentally made a post about the purpose of the Intel Z390 chipset and the purpose of this chipset, is to have support for 8 core cpus. Another interesting bit is, they will be skipping Z370. Maybe Z370 will only support up to 6 cores. https://videocardz.com/newz/intel-z390-to-support-8c16t-cpus-in-h2-2018

So...I had been entertaining the idea of a mining rig for a while and I got 6 RX 580s at a very good price, but I got drunk one night and decided I wanted to try older hardware (I don't know either), and I bought 3 R9 Nanos, 1 R9 390, 1 R9 Fury and 1 R9 Fury X. Any problem running those 6 cards? They all have the same GPU except for the 390, but the deal is done (Drinking with ambien...SO F*UCKING WISE) and I wanted to ask if there could be a problem mixing them. Got no issues with the 580s, but I'm wondering on that mix I purchased while intoxicated (still at good prices surprisingly)

Which one should I take? -Does the CPU cooler fit to the CPU AND the motherboard? Should I rather use this cooler: http://bit.ly/2uTDKjz ? -Do I eed more fans? There are 2 fans on the radiator from the CPU cooler and 2 pre installed fans from the case. -where can I find the cables for the modular PSU? The should be red or a mixture between red and black -should I use 4x4gb ram or 2x8gb ram? I heard it's better if it's split.. I do already have both Storages, the GPU and the case. What are your thoughts about the build? Thanks for every answer <3

Quick question. I have the Sapphire Radeon R9 390 Nitro. It has 2 6+2 pin connectors (not sure why we don't just say 8 pin, but sure). What I'm wondering is...well, I have a cord with 2 of the 6+2 pin connectors on it, but running through a single line to the PSU. Am I getting enough power this way? Should I run 2 separate 6+2 cords to the GPU from the PSU? Thanks!

As the title says, I'm exploring the option of upgrading my GPU soon. I'm doing a new build whenever Skylake-E releases, so I had hoped that I could hold off on having to upgrade anything until then. However with a new monitor, my experience with my 390 has not been all that ideal. It struggles with many recent games (ROTTR and GTA V really emphasize this) at 2560x1080. I'm aware my monitor has Freesync, but honestly I have been so underwhelmed by that experience that it would not bother me if I lose it by switching to Nvidia. I got the monitor for a steal anyway. I'd overclock the 390, and I have taken it up to 1160 Mhz before (stable but hot), however it makes a distinct sharp smell when under max load. I've narrowed down the cause of that to whatever horse sperm Powercolor used for the epoxy or thermal pads on the VRMs, as with my -75mV undervolt the smell is no longer present (card is also a hell of a lot cooler). tl;dr. 390 is not cutting it anymore. Getting impatient waiting for Vega or the Pascal refresh to release. Got the itch to upgrade GPU. Wait or take the plunge?

Is there any point of buying 390X instead of normal 390?

I have a R9 390 from Sapphire, so I was just wandering if there is any benefit, or is it worth it to Crossfire it with a RX 480, if that's even possible.

Hello, I'm Jonas from Germany and after following and silently reading this forum for a longer time i now decided to show you my PC. I run a pretty decent rig in my home setup, a 6600k with nzxt kraken liquid cooling and 16gb of ram, but my graphics card which I love the performance of seems to run hot. I personally don't know what it can handle and don't want to test it, but after playing games like borderlands the pre sequel and overwatch for about 2 hours it gets to 150 degrees Fahrenheit. And then it just sort of hovers there. So I was just wondering if that is a ok temperature or if I need to pump the fans faster (which they already spin quite loud) The card is powercolor encased in a s340 - not overclocked

I currently have a 390. I have wanted to switch to green team for a long time now. My last card was a 270x. I am wanting to sell my 390 for a 1070. But I am also wanting to upgrade my monitor to the BenQ XL2411Z. I plan on selling my 390 to get the 1070. I am wanting to save up for the monitor first. But I am afraid that my 390 will drop too much in value for me to sell it and get the 1070. Should I get the 1070 now? or should I expect to be able to sell the 390 for what I can now and get the monitor. Sorry for the confusing post. This is as clear as I can parse it.

Current setup. i5 4690k, 16 gigs of ripjaws x ddr3, r9 390 nitro 8 gig version, cx 600 PSU, z97 g55 sli by msi. First off I know a 1080 is complete overkill for now. But I just really am wanting to be able to play games like battlefield 1 on ultra and be able to record it. I also am just wanting to future proof my gpu for a long while. Then I can focus on upgrading my cpu and such. The only reason that I am considering upgrading to the 1080 is that I could sell my 390. I am still fuzzy on a few things. How much should I sell my 390 card for. (ive only used it for a few months) and should I expect to be able to find a third party 1080 (like zotac for example) for the 600 dollar price point the default card is at. Or should I expect them to cost more? And if so how much more. Thankyou for the advice and sorry for the multi question and somewhat confusing post.
