Hey people! So I am planning to buy an AMD 4650G APU. It is fairly tricky to plan anything with it, because it is not listed in any (or I didn't find any) pc building sites. My logic is: I can't find any decent graphics card for the price difference between the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and the AMD Ryzen 5 4650G. The 2 processors are really similar to each other, and the 4650G with integrated graphics on it (in cae you don't know this model), costs 80 USD more. For that price, I am fairly positive, I can't find any dedicated GPU. So for the next year or so, til the GPU prices go down, I am planning to use the AMD 4650G, and then upgrade. If you find anything flawed with my logic, I gladly accept any counterarguments. But here is the catch. The Ryzen 5 3600 has 32MB l3 cache on it, while the Ryzen 5 4650g only has 8MB. Do you guys think, it is a huge issue? Also if you know any other differences, pls let me know! Thanks!

Hi, My computer specifications are the following: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 ASUS® PRIME B550-PLUS 8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3070 Ti 16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3200MHz (2 x 8GB) CORSAIR 750W TXm SERIES™ SEMI-MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET Windows 10 64 bit BIOS: UEFI 2006 Monitor: 27gl850 I would consider this to be a relatively mid to high-end pc, same goes for the monitor. However, In almost all games I get really bad stuttering when moving the mouse. This is the case for minecraft, warzone, and at one point apex legends and titanfall. By messing with combinations of v-sync enabled and "adaptive-sync" in the monitor settings - which I think is g-sync since it is a g-sync compatible monitor - I have managed to eliminate the stutter in apex, or at least reduce it to a degree where it does not bother me. I also believe I have done this for titanfall. However, both Warzone and Minecraft are still stuttering heavily, and if I touch even a couple of settings I am scared to make apex stutter once more. The framerate in all these games is high - 144fps in everything except warzone which is at 80-90, though I think that has something to do with the game being awfully optimised. So far I have tried restarting, changing my polling rate, enabling and disabling g-sync, enabling and disabling v-sync, making sure v-sync is on/off in the Nvidia control panel, reinstalling the games, using GPU-Z and checking the perfcap reason (idle for minecraft, vrel for warzone, not entirely sure what they mean but I have a general idea). I have also made sure that the cables going from the PSU to the GPU are two seperate 8 pin connectors, and that they are securely plugged into the GPU. I have increased the amount of RAM minecraft uses in the launcher, and I have also noticed that at extremely low render distances, Minecraft does not stutter nearly as much, though It is occasionally present. However the GPU and the CPU seem to handle far more demanding games (apex) with ease at max settings without stuttering like minecraft does. I don't know what to do anymore. I feel like it could be any one of my components, or just software, I really don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! Recently, I discovered that my Ryzen 5 3600 was running really hot while idle. Around 40C to 60C. I am using an AIO, the Asus ROG STRIX LC240. I have 11 fans in the case, with the AIO using a push-pull exhaust configuration. Even when I have my fans on full speed, my cpu is hitting a low of 35C. I even checked the load on the cpu, it’s around 2-4% when the temps are 50+ Is there anything I can do to lower the temps? Here is the extra info about the computer, load temps, etc: Ryzen 5 3600 Asus LC240 Asus B550-A Gaming 16GB Crucial RAM (3600Mhz) 256GB M.2 NVMe Inland SSD Seagate 7.2k 2TB HDD 3060 ti FE (vertical GPU, heat sink is touching the AIO tubes) O11 MINI (not bad airflow, I think) 650W Seasonic SGX Idle temps: 40-65C Load temps: 70-85C The fans are Corsair QL120 (9) and 2 NZXT case fans from another build. I just want to know if there is any way to lower the temps without spending a ton of money. Thanks for any help or suggestions!!

Looks like im at the "undervolting" limit … -0.125 offset gives good results, -0.250 seems slightly worse, certainly not better, i also set PBO Advanced to +150mhz (offset) which really doesnt seem to do much either… Thing is im running very close to the 88w "limit" and also "PPT"… So im wondering if i can maybe overwrite that as theres a setting in bios for it… Temps are fine ~71C at 100% all cores and like 4.1ghz Of course i gotta test maybe +200mhz PBO offset still, but I doubt that'll do much - as its getting real close to max wattage and PPT already…

I got my new graphics card and I realized that DLSS isnt working, I tried playing cyberpunk and I turned dlss off and on and didn't make a difference, I have tried deleting the graphics driver and installing it again but that didn't work

I know for the most part current gen CPUs don't bottleneck GPUs that easily but.. I'm making a build and thinking of getting a Ryzen 5 3600, I'm getting a temporary Gigabyte 960 2GB OC (USD $114) till I can get my hands on a 3070 or hopefully 3080 in a year. But I'm wondering if the 3600 will bottleneck a 3080? I will be gaming in 1080p 144Hz most probably, but I need the 3080 for 3D work such as on Blender/Maya/3ds Max or Houdini for real-time renders in the preview window. I am also a filmmaker so Premiere Pro/Davinci Resolve is a thing, might get a 2nd 1440p/4k 60Hz panel for that. Apart from the bottleneck problem, I just realized that I was going with a 650W power supply.. So I assume I should rather go for the 750W Bronze instead with the GPU upgrade in mind? TL;DR - What CPU should I get for an RTX 3080 instead of the R5 3600 that doesn't break the bank too much, IF it will bottleneck. EDIT: Forgot to add that I would also love to stream on twitch as well with this system

Hello everybody, I've been using the R5 3600 for a while now, but I've never actually looked at the settings. I just bought a 3060TI and figured that, while tuning that, I should probably also have a look at the CPU. Now what I understood is that AMD now has PBO for longer sustained clocks and AutoOC for automatically overclocking the cpu. I don't necessarily want to get every last drop of performance out of the CPU since I don't want to bother with stability issues but I have two questions: - Would I see my performance go up if I buy a better cooler? (I used to have an H75 and I'm thinking of getting a Dark Rock pro 4 or a Gelid Phantom Black). - What are the easy things I really should enable in Ryzen Master (or the bios). So far I have only enabled PBO. I can also enable AutoOC, but then do I need to set the boost override clock for it to do anything? Last time I tried Timespy crashed... Any advice is welcome Thanks PS: I have already enabled XMP PPS: When I run a blender benchmark, all the indicators in Ryzen Master stay in the green, apart from the Temperature which gets to orange.

Im getting 105c temps reading in hwinfo when doing an occt stress test, in a few seconds it goes from idle state of 60c to 105 with an aio, I have the kraken m22, I have tryed remounting and reapplying thermal paste twice, im not sure if my cpu is a dud or the cooler? My brother has an also identical system (case cpu cooler) and gets around 40 -50c undr stress tests?

Hi Everyone. I got a very good deal on a Ryzen 5 5600X so i bought it. I had a Ryen 5 3600. But im not seeing the FPS gains as i see over all the benches online. Benchmark results Below: (All Games played at maximum Setting, Ray Tracing off and at 1080P) No OC done to GPU or CPU. Ryzen 3600: Shadow Of The Tomb Raider - 113FPS AC Odyssey - 79FPS Red Dead 2 - 74FPS Ryzen 5600X Shadow Of The Tomb Raider - 119FPS AC Odyssey - 82FPS Red Dead 2 - 75FPS Online im seeing people getting upwards of 10FPS higher between the 2 CPU's. My Full Spec PC is below. Could it maybe be the Motherboard the fact its a X470 Series and not one of the newer Boards? Sold the i7 for 13000 INR (178USD). The second hand market in India is close to none, so selling or buying old cpu is really tough here. I was fixed on the 3600 which is available for 17000 INR (233 USD) but then I watched the reviews for 5600x and obviously fell in love with it. (5600x is 10000 INR more than 3600 so that would be 333 USD) (I have a crush on the 3900x as well, but cannot afford it) Getting the 3700x isn't an option as it's price is higher than 5600x and I have seen enough reviews/benchmarks to see that the 5600x goes ahead of the 3700x in the applications that I would be using. Coming to the point For those who have seen AMD's recent CES keynote and disappointed because they launched no desktop cpus and the infamously rumored 5600 non X which was speculated to be released at 220 USD. Even if AMD plans to launch it in march end because that's when Intel would be launching their cpus and it would be a great time for AMD to do it as well. It would still take 2-3 months more for them to arrive in India and with 18% tax it would go easily for 20000 INR ie 260 USD (considering they released it at 220 USD) Or else we are looking at upwards of 280 USD or so. There are no stock issues here because people here do not upgrade every year. I wasn't impressed with AMD when they decided that the 5900 and 5800 non X variants would be OEM only. If that's the case with 5600 then I am pretty sure it won't be available in the market anytime soon. 5600x is far better than the 3600 and even the 3700x and I do know that. But however I do not want to regret my decision in just 3-4 months. Should I save my money and go for the 3600 and probably buy a better ram Or should I go all in and buy the 5600x because it would be very much useful in video editing when compared to the 3600? 3600 and 5600x owners please help? I would be putting all my savings into this and would probably need to close my bank account as would be charged for not maintaining low balance Thanks in Advance. Hey guys, thinking about buying a new machine, and I'm inclined to buy a ryzen 5 3600. The shop where I'm planning to buy the parts have the 3600x for only more 15€(yeah I'm european) and i would like to know your opinion. Is it worth the 15€ or should i side with the 3600? Thanks in advance

Hello everyone, Last month I bought a mid range Gaming pc. System: Ryzen 5 3600, Gigabyte A520 S2H motherboard, adata xpg d60G 3200mhz ram, gigabyte 1650 super, Cooler master 450w v2, nzxt H510. My idle temperatures are 40-50C. Sometimes peaks to 65C. While gaming or rendering videos it jumps to 90-94C. While running stress test I got 100.4C, I immediately stopped the test. What should I do? I'm in a small budget to buy something or add something to thr build. During summer the situation will be worse. I don't wanna end up burning my cpu. Should I add the pre included fans for intake and add new 2 fans for exhaust? Or should I add a cpu cooler? Or should I add a 120mm aio, whole intake will be from rear. What to do? Please somebody help me. Or should I try changing thermal paste. Look changing the case is impossible now. I want a solution. I've only 2K INR to spend. If some costs more then I've to wait more. Hi I was wondering if anyone has tips/advice for me why my system is still having stability and crashing issues when I try to change my CPU OC profiles, RAM to 3800 MHz from 3600 MHz (DOCP), or OC my GPU by 5%-10% I get consistent crashes when running benchmarks, playing games, or rendering anything. I've been forced to leave everything at stock and even then I still get a BSOD 1-2 times/week. Is it just a BIOS thing cuz the parts are new? I'm on the BIOS 1.2.0. I've been updating my BIOS as it's been released. I've had my parts since Early December 2020. Hi There, Ive just finished my first build and currently overclocking my 3600 with ryzen master. I am currently at 4.6Ghz, Voltage is set at 1.375Volts and I am moving up at 50Mhz increments while the temperature isn't going above 65 degrees celcius. Is there a clock speed i should stop at regardless of the test still passing? I'm really struggling with whether I should bite the bullet and buy it right now at $200 or wait and hope the price goes down in the next month. I'm also going to be buying the motherboard at the same time.

So a couple days ago I upgraded my system. My old Ryzen 5 3600 and Mobo (b350) I gave to my gf as an upgrade over her 1600x. But for some reason the 3600 started acting weird. As seen in the screenshot I took of Ryzen master her temps are in the 70c and PPT, TDC And EDC are almost maxed out when the system just runs Idle. I check task manager but couldn't find anything that was using the CPU that intensive. I checked EVERYTHING for my feeling, I swapped the motherboard for an b450 I had laying around. Updated the bios for both the b450 and 350. Installed the chipset driver, Changed the powerscheme multiple times to different options. But looks like nothing works. Setting a base voltage of 1.31 also doesn't help. It only happens sometimes whe she leaves the pc to go do something else. When she plays a game ( mostly Valorant) The temps dont go beyond 55c (checked with MSI afterburner). Also it looks like her core voltage is all over the place. Keeps dropping to 0.9 and goes up to 1.4 randomly and then drops again. It's an ongoing thing and I have no clue what the hell is happening. When I was using it as my system it was running perfectly fine. For cooling she is using a Be quiet cooler rated for 120tdp (same as I was using) and artic silver coolingpaste. Which always kept my system cool. Even when stresstesting 3x in cinebench. Anyone have any idea what is happening?

I have a 3600x on an Asus tuf wifi x570. I have the latest 3001 Bios from two weeks ago and the newest amd chipset drivers from October. Prior to yesterday my cores would enter deep sleep just fine and my c6 residency was always up there. According to HWINFO prior to this my cpu package power wattage would get as low as 13.5 watts. However since even before the Bios and chipset update I get 24.8 watts at the lowest. I tried installing AI Suite III 3.00.69 for the fan control and I think this is what messed it up. I uninstalled and blocked all the asus services from starting up and I'm not sure. Plus the lowest idle temps even with everything closed is about 40 degrees. I used to get down to about 34. C-6 residency and package residency is constantly at 0%. C0 and C1 work alright but never hits c-6! So I updated my bios and chipset drivers and no change. However my temperatures have evened out on the tctl/tdie which I am more than happy about. Before it would cool off 1.5 to 2 degrees celsius every second for like five seconds and then ramp up about 10 degrees celsius. Rinse and repeat. Anyways still no change. Did AI Suite III ruin something? Is there something I need to disable? I'm using sz balanced Ryzen v4 for power plan, all the settings my bios had (no cool/quiet or global c-states but everything else is set according to the preferred settings of that plan's website download page), all bios settings on Auto except for D.O.C.P. which is set the 3200mhz cl 16-18-18-39 32gb 2x16. Every other option in bios is on "auto". What can I do? Thank you very much!

Hey, I'm using a Asus ROG B450-F motherboard for my Ryzen 5 3600. Not using any aftermarket cooler but instead using the stock cooler for Ryzen 7, the wraith prism one. My quesiton is what should be the idle clock speed be for my processor? I don't know much about overclocking or anything and I have kept most of the settings as it came out from the box. Just changed the power management settings to ultimate and thats pretty much it. Would love to hear from the community like what would be the ideal setting to keep. Fyi: a couple of days back I was rendeing a small video clip on premiere pro and the clock speed was 3.4 which is lower than 3600's base clock. That got me thinking that there must be something wrong here. I'm having some trouble decising which GPU I should get in terms of future proof and ray tracing performance. I know that the RTX 3080 is much better at ray tracing compared to 6800 XT but the 6800 XT is better for price/performance. Also, will the 6800XT ray tracing performance improve in the future through driver updates? I also know that both the PS5 and Xbox series X are both using AMD based GPU archutechture so the 6800XT might be better in the long run.Thats what I currently know about the difference between the 2 GPU, is there any other difference I should know about? Currently, I have a 1440p monitor with 165Hz with a Ryzen 3600 CPU.

Need some suggestions!!! Should I pair R5 5600x with RTX 2060s or R5 3600 with RTX 3060ti? Which one going to be more future-proof for content creation and some gaming?

The day before putting the rx 5600 xt, i had an rx480 running ok. So after placing my rx 5600xt (with pc unplugged) i boot up and get no video signal at all, power to the Gpu is suposedly being delivered since the gpu LED indicator is off, it heats up and fans work now and then. I managed to get signal once, by booting up with my HDMI plugged to the MOBO and then after bootup plugging it to the gpu, i got signal and could type my passwd on the user menu in Pop OS. Then went to settings and Pop Os was detecting my card model correctly. After shutting down I never got it to work again. And cant even enter BIOS since i have no signal at all, not even MOBO logo or OS choosing menu. I tried the GPU on another pc via DisplayPort, and MOBO logo and BIOS are a visible and accesible, but windows bootup also gave black screen. I figured that was a driver or windows issue. So my specs are: -Ryzen 5 3600 -Dual 8gb 2660mhz hyperx ddr4 ram -Asus Prime b450 plus (pci-e 3.0)(not sure what bios version). 2x 1tb western digital blue HDD - Sentey epp750-ps 750w 80plus bronze (5+ years old) - Gygabyte Windforce oc rx 5600xt OS: Dual boot Windows 10 and POP!_Os, one in each HDD. Is the problem a combination of factors? Or is it either Motherboard or old probably unreliable PSU? Motherboard, CPU, and RAM are half a year old or less.

For the CPU Cooler he is still using the stock cooler. it is servable but since the case also has semi good airflow the temps still get quite toasty under load (90-95°C). A reason for the airflow problem is the fan setup. the 3 intake fans are realy close behind the glas and cant effectivly make use of the intake vents on the side of the front panel. You could position the fans futher away from the front panel but it would hurt the optic so he does not want to do that. now i am thinking what we can do to lover his temps and i had 3 ideas: 1. Repaste the CPU Cooler (5€) 2. Buy two 140mm Fans for the top exhaust spot. Then we would have 3 120mm Restricted front intakes, 2 top exhaust (Added) and one 120mm fan. My idea is that that would make the system essentialy a negative pressure setup 3. get a new cpu cooler but not sure how much he would be willing to pay 20-50€ but 50 is a stretch So how would you go about this problem? Am thankfull for any kind of general input Edit: this is the case the one in the PC Part picker list is wrong
