Hello, I'm looking to make use of the 2 open RAM slots on my motherboard with the overall goal to increase speeds. I just finished my PC build in Feb. so I'm completely new this and with all my research I've thoroughly confused myself and appreciate any insights and feedback. Would it be better to purchase another identical 2x16GB DDR-3200 RAM set, totaling in 64GB of RAM? Or go with 4x8GB DDR-3600 RAM set that would keep me at 32GB of RAM but with DDR-3600 speed? It's my understanding that more RAM doesn't always equal faster speeds, and having a dual channel motherboard plays another part in it. Current build specs: CPU: i5-12600KF Motherboard: ASRock B660M Pro RS Memory: G.Skill Trident Z 2x16 GB DDR4-3200

Hello, So as a lovely Christmas present I get the g skill trident z royal 2 x 16gb sticks which are overclockable to 3600MHz with xmp turned on. As an average person you just do it save it and boom you're fine. With my luck that's another story. When i overclock it I get bad blue screens of death and many instabilities when I load into windows 11. So I'm going to ask got some help. Can I only leave it at 2666MHz stock or can I overclock it higher and higher until I run into any other problems with it? The video shows my ram at 3600mhz and is stuck on this screen. So basically what I'm asking for is that does anyone know how to manually overclock the ram to I'm not sure 3200MHz? Any help, greatly appreciated! Also enjoy the rest of your Christmas!! 8mb.video-6dA-YMUvKvQ1.mp4

Hello to all, I'm at the end of a long battle with my prime b550m-a mobo and getting it to run its full Gigabit network speed. I have shaw fiber 1gig and usually see 600-950mbs download on speed tests with other computers. It will only connect as a Fast ethernet 100/100 Mbps connection no matter what. And I've done everything.. Change Cables (both cat5e and cat 6) Checking with second computer on lan and wifi (both had full speed with cables and ports used for this mobo) Bios flash Driver updates Chipset and any other available drivers (from companies own website. ) Fresh windows install Forcing both ends (NIC and Router) to use 1.0gb negotiations. (Service reboots but only connects 100/100) Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller #2 As I see it, the network side isn't the issue as any other device connects and displays 1gb connection no issue. I've spent hours reading forums on this mobo and troubleshooting tactics and about 30 my mins from going to the shop and getting a brand new one.. maybe setting this one on fire... (Not actually ) help Thanks, Dusty

So replacing my motherboard for an aesthetic and case change (had a bulky corsair 200r switching to a white rgb airflow 4000d), having trouble deciding if I should keep my ryzen 5 3600 which is paired with 16gb-3200 ddr4 and a 3070 founders, or switch platforms to intel go with i5-12600k as the gaming performance looks to be a lot better, I have seen some 80-100% usage when playing warzone and emulation with rpcs3 as i play a lot of emulated NCAA 14. So leaning towards the upgrade just not sure if it's worth it, would be spending about $200 more between the B760 and processor vs the B550 (Both asus white motherboards), it also has built in USB 3.2 headers on that board where as the upgraded am4 board (B550) would need a $20 pcie card to add that. Just curious to get everyones thoughts. Thanks!

Hello, I have only built a few PCs and I need to sell or give to relative one of my older rigs and move on. Just not sure which to keep. I was going to put all my better parts into one rig and get rid of the other. So.... Should I keep my Ryzen 2700X or the newer Ryzen 3600? I only game and do regular day to day stuff on my PC.

Help! My system won’t boot with a ryzen 5 3600 and two sticks of ram! I recently upgraded to a r5 3600 from a r7 1700, but after installing my new cpu, the system seems to ramp all the fans up to max speed, and nothing will post. But swapping out the ram to one stick seems to make the system post (and it doesn’t matter which stick) (both sticks work with my 1700) I’ve updated the bios, checked for bent pins, used new ram. I’ve even tried a different 3000 series cpu to the same outcome of duel channel not working,I’ve even changed ram speeds and voltage. My current bios is for the asrock hdv r4.0 and it is P4.9 any suggestions?

Hi to everyone. My PC has R9 5900X, Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite, 3080Ti and 2x8 GB of RAM Corsair Vengeance RS DDR4-3600 DC C18. I just added another two sticks of RAM which are also from Corsair but Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4-3600 DC C18 2x8GB. Recently I noticed some input lags of my keyboard while playing Minecraft. It happens not all the time, only at the certain times when placing blocks pretty fast or moving around. I use some mods and shaders for Minecraft (dedicated 8GB of RAM to it), I achieve ~200 fps almost all the time and everything is okay, but it looks like this input lag started after I installed more RAM. Keyboard lags for like few seconds after I release every key, character still moves around by itself, if I press inventory or ESC, it only opens everything after this lag disappears. Few days ago I removed those two sticks of RAM and now this lag looks gone. My question are these 4 sticks of RAM can't communicate between or something else is wrong with my PC? Every stick has same speeds of 18-22-22-42 and 3600Mhz. Only difference between them I saw was one letter in the name 2x CMG16GX4M2D3600C18 and 2x CMW16GX4M2D3600C18. After install I see 32GB of RAM and using X.M.P to unlock that 3600 speed. Tried to google it, but can't find anything helpful. Did I bought wrong sticks of RAM or they should be fine working together? Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, Is it worth upgrading to a ryzen 7 5800x3d? It's on sale now for 369 euros where I live. Currents setup: Rx 5700xt Ryzen 3600 (on a MSI b450m mortar max) 32GB 3200mhz RAM Corsair rm650 psu I use a 240mm rad for cpu cooling. I've seen the cpu can do some good stuff to frametimes and stuttering and I know it likely won't do much to average FPS if at all. Maybe its possibly a good deal for when I want to upgrade to a new gpu in a couple of years. Games that I am currently playing: Warzone League of legends Rocket league Overwatch Some other AAA games like Cyberpunk, RDR, Uncharted, Tomb Raider. So what is your opinion? I'm temped by the new price.

I have just found my Ryzen 5 3600 is boosting at 4.6GHz I'm really happy just need to over clock my GPU

Just our of nowhere, my under load CPU temperatures have gone up to 95 degrees, not below or exceeding of it. It has been decreasing performance allot and Id like to know where to start on troubleshooting. I have had temperature problems since the moment my PC Turned on, with high idle temperatures in the 50s and 60's, but load temps were good under 80 degrees so It didn't matter. Playing my favorite games (Forza, Flight Simulator) The temperatures immediately, just when launching go to 95 degrees. My performance has decreased in the 40% range since Ive noticed the temperature and performance problems. This occurs when video editing in premiere too. I have replaced the cooler before and its made no difference. I have taken off the front panel of the case and it makes no temperature difference. I have also re reapplied thermal paste and resenting the cooler to no difference as well. My GPU (3070TI) Never gets over 55 degrees regularly so the gpu cant be affecting it much. The pump is running at full speed there are any other troubleshooting steps I could take before buying things would be great. So im wondering if Ive always had a bad CPU and now its gotten worse, or the cooler is on its last legs? Thanks CPU - 3600 Cooler - NZXT Kraken M22 Case - NZXT H510 Elite, (2X 140MM Push fans, 2X 120MM Pull fans, one is the CPU Rad) GPU - 3070TI Gigabyte Ram - 3600MHZ 16GB Corsair Vengeance

Budget (including currency): ~500 (almost all used parts) Country: Netherlands Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming (DOOM Eternal, Rocket League, Minecraft RTX, maybe heavier in the future) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Existing parts: Case: NZXT H440 HDD: 2TB tadashi or smth Bought: Important stuff first: COOLER: Hyper 212 RGB (needs a 12V header) FAN: Corsair 140mm RGB fan (needs 5V, got a hub that converts the CorsaiRGB to normal ARGB) PSU: Corsair CX550 SSD: Crucial BX500 Monitor: Samsung 144Hz 1440p VA, can be achieved through the HDMI and DP inputs, i think it's LC27JG52QQUXEN Planned: CPU: i5-9600KF MBD: ROG STRIX Z390e gaming (2xRGB12V 1xARGB5V) (sold with CPU as combo on Dutch eq. of eBay, bidding starts at €160, =$181) Corsair Vengeance RGB 2x16GB 3200 M.2: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB 3200 MB/s (new, on sale for €81, =$91) Now, GPU.. RTX 2060, on the second hand market it's about it's original MSRP and still a respectable GPU for gaming, I think, and heard. If by some miracle prices get normal I'll go RTX 3060 (non-Ti) i want an RTX card mainly for Minecraft with ray tracing cause.. well this is the LTT forum do I have to defend myself for spending hundreds for a niche gaming experience? I know it'll give me 30-40 fps, but 60 with Upscaling (DLSS) turned on right? https://youtu.be/eLmiwn71_6o I was feverishly searching for a Ryzen 3600 and an accompanying motherboard, but then the ad for a 9600KF with a solid motherboard included went up, I looked it up, and that CPU is.. better then the 3600? But then why is AMD known as the value king, I thought to myself, which is why I'm putting it up on here, in case I missed something. I'm aware it has PCIe 4.0, but I feel like that's kind of a gimmick given the rest of my planned components? And even if I end up buying an RTX 3060 in the future, it shouldn't hold me back that much: Maybe it'll give me faster boot times when paired with a PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD, but like.. I can wait 5 seconds more for my PC to boot. Like I said, I might be missing something, which is why I'm posting. Thanks a lot in advance!

Hello! I was wondering if I could get some help with this. I have searched online for similar issues to mine and have done most of the solutions with no success. I have a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU paired with a corsair H100 PRO XT that I just bought and installed. Seemingly in-game I have better temps. With the stock wraith prism I was looking at 68-73 degrees celcius in Warzone rebirth island, and about the same on Battlefield 2042. My idle however is usually around 33-44 degrees. With the Corsair the highest temperature reported in the Warzone rebirth island was 66 degrees celcius by core temp. On startup idle, the temp is usually stable at 58 degrees. After gaming, it stays around 60-64*. I have tried reseating the pump, noting that the thermal paste that it came with was spread evenly and not too thick. I have disabled the QFAN control for the CPU header I have turned the AIO pump within QFAN to AUTO from disabled and made sure that the minimum pump setting is at 100%. I connected the 3 pin connector going off the pump to the CPU fan header instead of the AIO PUMP. I turned the pump speed in icue 4 to extreme, and I have tried my own fan curve, which lowered the temperature below 50, however the fan noise was very loud. ram Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3 3600mhz Support?
Monkee369 posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Gigabyte AB350-GAMING 3 (Socket AM4/B350/DDR4/S-ATA 600/ATX) Corsair RM 750 (2021) AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Desktop CPU - AM4 ASUS GeForce DUAL-GTX1060-O6G 6 GB Graphics Card Corsair CMK16GX4M2A2400C16 Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 2400 MHz C16 XMP 2.0 Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB 2.5 inch Solid State Drive Western Digital WD10EZEX 1 TB PC Hard Drive I have ordered a new proccesor for upgrade and struggle to get XMP to hit higher clock speeds while remaining stable. So I am looking at upgrading memory to 3600 and 32gb from 2400mhz modules however the support list on the website doesn't state anything and is from back in 2018. https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ab350-gaming3_raven_20181220.pdf?v=f23b84fc228dce261e8d685124c2d407 I wouldn't personally run the XMP at 3600 however it's mostly to future proof the build. Would these ram modules be supported if I was to install it? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-VENGEANCE-3600MHz-Ryzen-Memory/dp/B082DH1FZR/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=3600mhz+ddr4+32gb&qid=1634731880&sr=8-3 -
Hi guys, I watched some benchmark videos on New World. For example in this videos the uploader getting 150fps on open world while im getting 100. Could it be the PSU? I bought this PSU because I had no other choice. The market is back to normal maybe I can replace it. Hi, My computer specifications are the following: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 ASUS® PRIME B550-PLUS 8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3070 Ti 16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3200MHz (2 x 8GB) CORSAIR 750W TXm SERIES™ SEMI-MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET Windows 10 64 bit BIOS: UEFI 2006 Monitor: 27gl850 I would consider this to be a relatively mid to high-end pc, same goes for the monitor. However, In almost all games I get really bad stuttering when moving the mouse. This is the case for minecraft, warzone, and at one point apex legends and titanfall. By messing with combinations of v-sync enabled and "adaptive-sync" in the monitor settings - which I think is g-sync since it is a g-sync compatible monitor - I have managed to eliminate the stutter in apex, or at least reduce it to a degree where it does not bother me. I also believe I have done this for titanfall. However, both Warzone and Minecraft are still stuttering heavily, and if I touch even a couple of settings I am scared to make apex stutter once more. The framerate in all these games is high - 144fps in everything except warzone which is at 80-90, though I think that has something to do with the game being awfully optimised. So far I have tried restarting, changing my polling rate, enabling and disabling g-sync, enabling and disabling v-sync, making sure v-sync is on/off in the Nvidia control panel, reinstalling the games, using GPU-Z and checking the perfcap reason (idle for minecraft, vrel for warzone, not entirely sure what they mean but I have a general idea). I have also made sure that the cables going from the PSU to the GPU are two seperate 8 pin connectors, and that they are securely plugged into the GPU. I have increased the amount of RAM minecraft uses in the launcher, and I have also noticed that at extremely low render distances, Minecraft does not stutter nearly as much, though It is occasionally present. However the GPU and the CPU seem to handle far more demanding games (apex) with ease at max settings without stuttering like minecraft does. I don't know what to do anymore. I feel like it could be any one of my components, or just software, I really don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like im at the "undervolting" limit … -0.125 offset gives good results, -0.250 seems slightly worse, certainly not better, i also set PBO Advanced to +150mhz (offset) which really doesnt seem to do much either… Thing is im running very close to the 88w "limit" and also "PPT"… So im wondering if i can maybe overwrite that as theres a setting in bios for it… Temps are fine ~71C at 100% all cores and like 4.1ghz Of course i gotta test maybe +200mhz PBO offset still, but I doubt that'll do much - as its getting real close to max wattage and PPT already…

Hey people! So I am planning to buy an AMD 4650G APU. It is fairly tricky to plan anything with it, because it is not listed in any (or I didn't find any) pc building sites. My logic is: I can't find any decent graphics card for the price difference between the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and the AMD Ryzen 5 4650G. The 2 processors are really similar to each other, and the 4650G with integrated graphics on it (in cae you don't know this model), costs 80 USD more. For that price, I am fairly positive, I can't find any dedicated GPU. So for the next year or so, til the GPU prices go down, I am planning to use the AMD 4650G, and then upgrade. If you find anything flawed with my logic, I gladly accept any counterarguments. But here is the catch. The Ryzen 5 3600 has 32MB l3 cache on it, while the Ryzen 5 4650g only has 8MB. Do you guys think, it is a huge issue? Also if you know any other differences, pls let me know! Thanks!

Hi! Recently, I discovered that my Ryzen 5 3600 was running really hot while idle. Around 40C to 60C. I am using an AIO, the Asus ROG STRIX LC240. I have 11 fans in the case, with the AIO using a push-pull exhaust configuration. Even when I have my fans on full speed, my cpu is hitting a low of 35C. I even checked the load on the cpu, it’s around 2-4% when the temps are 50+ Is there anything I can do to lower the temps? Here is the extra info about the computer, load temps, etc: Ryzen 5 3600 Asus LC240 Asus B550-A Gaming 16GB Crucial RAM (3600Mhz) 256GB M.2 NVMe Inland SSD Seagate 7.2k 2TB HDD 3060 ti FE (vertical GPU, heat sink is touching the AIO tubes) O11 MINI (not bad airflow, I think) 650W Seasonic SGX Idle temps: 40-65C Load temps: 70-85C The fans are Corsair QL120 (9) and 2 NZXT case fans from another build. I just want to know if there is any way to lower the temps without spending a ton of money. Thanks for any help or suggestions!!

Heyy there, build my new pc last september in anticipation of the r5 5xxx and rx 6xxx series with obviously the cpu and gpu missing ( here are the spect btw MPG B550 GAMING PLUS Cougar GX-F750 two .5 tb a400 (got a second one from my sister as it didnt fit in the notebook as there already was a nvme m.2) AeroCool Cylon 4 MSI MAG FORGE 100M) also bought a 1440p 144hz monitor, as i thought it would be a good idea to do with a much better gpu (had a 1080p 21inch) now the big question is if i shoud go and get the 5600x in anticipation of rdna3 or would the difference in 1440p be still kinda not really there ? also, i can both get a bit cheaper, as part of the money is gonna get back from a project at work of my parents, as long as i give them a copy of the check. but i am still thinking if it would be stupid to overpay for the 5600x Btw if you are interested how the gpu crisis is here in russia, the i can say that its pretty interesting seeing 3070s selling at the sane price as the rx 6900xt (thats official sellers not scalpers) around 130 000 +- 10 000pub (1.700$) normally a 3070 would have costed 45 000-60 000 (600-750$)

I know for the most part current gen CPUs don't bottleneck GPUs that easily but.. I'm making a build and thinking of getting a Ryzen 5 3600, I'm getting a temporary Gigabyte 960 2GB OC (USD $114) till I can get my hands on a 3070 or hopefully 3080 in a year. But I'm wondering if the 3600 will bottleneck a 3080? I will be gaming in 1080p 144Hz most probably, but I need the 3080 for 3D work such as on Blender/Maya/3ds Max or Houdini for real-time renders in the preview window. I am also a filmmaker so Premiere Pro/Davinci Resolve is a thing, might get a 2nd 1440p/4k 60Hz panel for that. Apart from the bottleneck problem, I just realized that I was going with a 650W power supply.. So I assume I should rather go for the 750W Bronze instead with the GPU upgrade in mind? TL;DR - What CPU should I get for an RTX 3080 instead of the R5 3600 that doesn't break the bank too much, IF it will bottleneck. EDIT: Forgot to add that I would also love to stream on twitch as well with this system

Getting amd 3600 for 220usd here in India, should i buy it or wait for 5600 to launch. What could be expected price of 5600? Launch date?
