Hello, I'm looking to make use of the 2 open RAM slots on my motherboard with the overall goal to increase speeds. I just finished my PC build in Feb. so I'm completely new this and with all my research I've thoroughly confused myself and appreciate any insights and feedback. Would it be better to purchase another identical 2x16GB DDR-3200 RAM set, totaling in 64GB of RAM? Or go with 4x8GB DDR-3600 RAM set that would keep me at 32GB of RAM but with DDR-3600 speed? It's my understanding that more RAM doesn't always equal faster speeds, and having a dual channel motherboard plays another part in it. Current build specs: CPU: i5-12600KF Motherboard: ASRock B660M Pro RS Memory: G.Skill Trident Z 2x16 GB DDR4-3200

So I added 2 more rams of Team Elite Vulcan TUF 2x8 3200mhz. These are same model, die, and timing as what I have been using. I am using these on a Ryzen 5 3600, and B450 Aorus M with F64 bios. I have been experiencing a problem when sometimes BSOD will show but only when booting to windows. But when it does successfully boot to windows, everything seems to be stable. I have verified stability by running OCCT for half an hour. Running it on 3066mhz seems to eliminate the problem. I am wondering if I can fine tune the settings so it would run at 3200mhz stable. Update: Fast boot was causing BSOD. However I noticed that 1st boot is always stable, but when I restart it would become unstable.

So I have 16GB DDR4-3200 but noticed the RAM usage hits 90+% (well I have plenty of bloatware and I like to have guides on secondary screen... Plus I'm a tab horder) So I'm considering upgrade. Now, my board have two empty slots so I am considering either 1. Sell my current kit and buy a 32GB KIT (2×16GB) DDR4 3200 CL16 (or 3600 CL18 price are almost the same); or 2.Paying 57% of the price getting a 2x8 16GB KIT filling all the slots. Note: My current kit is a RMA replacement kit from Corsair, but one of the RGB led partially failed... In less than a year...I didn't get that RMAed yet because I don't want to wait for 3 weeks again and not sure if it's still eligible for RMA. (Perhaps buy the additional 16GB kit and then RMA the current kit? Or I will sell the kit at discount like slightly higher than non-RGB kits on eBay) Note2: I am using a R5 3600, but plan to get a 5800X3D. So I don't think CAS latency and RAM frequency would matter too much.

So my Problem is that I bought new RAM (3200 MHz) and I'm kinda doubting that I got the real product because on one hand -> Task Manager, parts of my BIOS and parts of CPU-Z are telling me that I've got 3200 MHz BUT.. -> HWInfo // HWMonitor and also another part of my BIOS is telling me that I only have 1332 MHz. I also activated my A-XMP Profile with no change I updated my BIOS I also found out, that I got sent two times the single channel sticks instead of what I actually bought the 2x8GB Dual sticks. (The Model number matches) Alas, thank you for reading and if anyone got a suggestion as to if I should get another RAM feel free to do so!

I got a gigabyte x570 gaming x, (i run: CPU-ryzen 5 2600, VENGEANCE® LPX 16GB, rtx 2070) and the ram wont run at 3200mhz (only 2133mhz), i have enabled X.M.P and manually set it to 3200mhz, resetted RAM, it still doesnt work. when running dual channel i was getting BSOD - error code memory management, with 8.1gb hardware reserved. i fixed this by seating them next to each other. please help

Hello, i impulsively purchased this set of memory just because it was one of the cheapest set in the store that i frequently went to.. later to find out that my CPU only goes up to 3200mhz for compatibility issues... i realized my mistake when i boot my system first, when it shutdown right after 2-3 minutes of starting up... already fixed this by setting the frequency to 3200mhz in the BIOS can anyone suggest the timings for this set.up? i am only knowledgable in setting up the frequency in the BIOS, the timings, FCLock is all new to me... Hi so I've just finished building my new pc 3600 5700xt red dragon Aorus 570x Corsair vengeance gddr 4 3200 16gb ram Corsair spec 5 case 5x case fans Cpu stock cooler I've been using msi after burner and hwinfo to track temps while gaming. When doing so ive noticed that my memeory temps are hitting around 60°c, gpu at 70 and cpu between 60-80 depending on load. Should I be concerned about the memeory temps at all? XMP is disabled and I havent touched the voltage since putting it together. Also when in the bios its showing my ram as running at 2137.42 mhz at a voltage of 1.236?

Hi guys, So I've recently purchased 2 corsair vengeance rgb pro 8gb×2 3200MHz ram sticks (pre-owned). HOWEVER, they have arrived today and have found that they were actually 2 sticks from a pack of 4 (8gb×4 originally). Can these two alone work fine or will I loose ANY kind of performance or have compatability issues. (I'm only planning to use these 2 sticks and not buying any more). They have model numbers of: CMW32GX4M4C3200C16 While if you buy the two pack the number is CMW16GX4M2C3200C16 I assume the difference is due to the quantity in a pack. I have attached photos. I checked every possible compability before buying the parts. I went to the local store and picked everything up. But the memory kit (F4-3200C16D-32GTZRX (X=AMD version)) i planned to buy was not available. So i asked the pc-hardware-guy if he knows which smiliar RAM i can use instead. So he said the F4-3200C16D-32GTZR (non X) should work. We looked it up in the qvl on the G.Skill website and it says the non-x kit should be exactly as "compatible" as the specific "AMD-Version". I built a ton of PCs before, so the building-part ended successfully without any problems as expected. The system ran absolutely smooth and everything ran as it should be. (I usually don´t really check any Benchmarking-Scores for comparison. I only let the system run at full load for some time to check the temps). Everything turned out well. At this point i literally forgot about the RAM and XMP. So not checking this part right about then was a dumb fail. About 2 weeks ago i watched some LinusTechTips-Videos about XMP-Technology and randomly looked in my BIOS settings and saw that i had XMP not enabled and the memory ran at 2133 mhz with the timings 15-15-15-36. After endless trial and error i have to consider that i am not able to tweak the settings in a way that my RAM runs at the rated speed. HWiNFO, CPU-Z and the BIOS says that the memory is running at 1,35V, 2133 MHz and the timings 15-15-15-36. It sould be 1,35V, 3200 MHz with the timings at 16-18-18-38. I tried every possible combination of the listet settings below. But nothing helped at all. What i have done already (checked most of the things twice): • Checked if the two sticks are in the correct slots like the mainboard manual says. (DDR4_A2 and DDR4_B2) • Updated the BIOS to F12h. (the latest update with memory support fixes/updates) • Enabled the XMP Profile (profile1; there is only this one available) • Enabled the "XMP High Frequency Support" in the BIOS (Level 1, 2, 3 and auto) • Enabled and disabled the Gear-Down-Mode • Checked if the RAM is in the compability-List of the Mainboard for Matisse-CPUs (Basically it is, but only the version with 4 Sticks (Q=Quad; D=Dual) [F4-3200C16Q-32GTZR ]. There is also an AMD-specific version of this kit. But the "AMD" Version of this RAM is not in the list! Don´t know why the AMD-specific version ist not listed but the non-AMD is? Maybe they checked only this one. Could be possible due to the high amount of kits. • Checked if the RAM is on the qvl-list of G.Skill. (It is listed in there like the hardware-guy at the store and i have checked already) (• I know the fact, that dependig on the software, the displayed RAM speed is usually divided by 2.) • Set everything manually. (Timings, Frequency, Voltage, XMP-Profile On/Off in every possible combination) Basically, after "save and exit" in the BIOS the system shuts down and boots again automatically. The moment when the fans start spinning it shuts down immediately and then boots correctly. But the first boot-attempt after changing a settings takes 2-3 minutes. After that, i cheked the timings, voltage and frequency everytime with HWiNFO, CPU-Z and the Task-Manager. It says always 2133 MHz, 15-15-15-36 independently of the saved settings. After returning to the BIOS the settings from bevore the boot-process are still in there corretly. It seems that the BIOS saves everything as it should an does not reset anything. But somehow it does not apply them. Has anyone tested the AMD-Version of the RAM F4-3200C16D-32GTZRX with this Mainboard? Is it working properly? And does anyone know if it is possible to run the non-AMD Version with XMP? (The QVL says it sould, but why does the exact same memory kit exists specifically as AMD-Version when both of them are listed as AMD-compatible?) I already wrote an mail to the G.Skill-Support but got no response so far. Maybe they will contact me this week. I´ll give them some time. I wrote the mail at the weekend :D If they reply, i will post an update. I hope that my explanation was understandable. I am not an english-native-speaker. Is this timing is correct for VENGEANCE® LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3200MHz

I currently have 2x8 gb 2666mhz ram from Corsair rgb pro vengeance, but I want to upgrade to a 64gb kit and I can’t work out if the price benefits of 2x(16x2) kits is better than 1x(4x16gb) kit. Speeds wise I’d have to go for 3200mhz if it was a 4x16 kit since on amazon it’s £398 compared to the £850 cost of a 3600mhz kit. However a dual kit of 2x16gb ddr4 3200 is only £174 and if I got 2 of them it would be cheaper than a quad kit, what’s better? Also bear in mind the prices are from rgb kits as I plan to move my pc to my desk at some point. Thanks

I have a 2300x and was wondering if it's worth it to get a 3200g? I plan on using it with an amd raedon rx580 8gb and16gb ddr3. Would getting a 3200g be worth it?

I understand I have plenty of ram, but I intend on using Adobe CC heavily in the near future.

Hi all, I am very confused. I am looking at the MSI QVL for the board I am thinking of buying to find out which memory would go well with it. The board is the B450 Gaming plus Max (QVL: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B450-GAMING-PLUS-MAX#support-mem-19). I'm not sure I understand what the 1|2|4 Dimm stands for, does it mean if it only is checked for 1 and 2 Dimms that it won't work (at the reported speed) with 4 Dimms? I want to start of with 16GBs and then expand to 32 if needed (Blender and gaming, possible Unity) Also I am now looking at this GSkill Aegis set since it's relatively cheap, it's present in the QVL and, if I do understand the check-marks correctly, can be used with 4 modules. Is it worth spending about 25 euros more on 3200MHz RAM? Will be using it with a Ryzen 5 3600 to replace a 1231V3 with 16GB DDR3@1600MHz. Thanks

Hi guys, I'm thinking of purchasing a Ryzen 5 3600 along with a MSI B450 Gaming plus MAX motherboard (due to the out-of-the-box support for ryzen 3000). I will be replacing a E3-1231V3 with 16gb of DDR3@1600MHz. I'm not really much for overclocking, though I might give it a try at some point. At the moment I don't see myself using more than 16GBs of memory, but in the future I might (Deep Learning and 3D modelling), so I want 4 DIMM slots of which two are occupied. I am mostly torn between 3000MHz, since there is a kit that is cheap and tested in the QVL of the mobo to support the speed and support up to 4 DIMMs. For some reason most memory is only compatible in one or two DIMMs. I am looking at this set: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/FNprxr/gskill-aegis-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3000-memory-f43000c16d16gisb Going for 3200MHz will cost me at least 15-20 euro more if I pick a set that is compatible with 4 DIMMs on this motherboard. I noticed my RAM was only showing at 1533 or sometimes 1600, despite being rated at 3200. I'm running the AMD Ryzen 2700 on an MSI X470 Gaming Plus motherboard with an RTX 2070. I've gone into the BIOS and enabled XMP Profile 1 already and even changed the manual override to 3200. It's still showing the same 1533. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the timing or I'm maybe missing something. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, I'm building my first pc and this are my key parts (I'll overclock): -Z370 MSI Gaming pro carbon -i7 8700K delid -RTX 2080 I'm looking to buy the RAM but I don't know which one to pick. The cheapest 3000Mhz and 3200 Mhz modules I found are both Corsair Vengeance LPX (2x8GB): -3200Mhz C16: 130€ -3000Mhz C15: 115€ If there's a noticeable performance benefit I'm totally fine to spend 15€ more. Consider that I'll overclock the ram (or at least try to do it lol, I've never done it). I'll mainly play 1080p games at the highest refrash rate possible (if it matters) Which one would you pick and why? Thanks!

I have an asrock b450 pro4 motherboard , ryzen 5 1600 . Thinking of getting adata xpg spectrix d40 (AX4U320038G16-DRS) which is in the QVL of this specific motherboard. So, my question is will my 1600 be able to support 3200Mhz with this mobo and ram ?

OK so I'm building a ryzen 2600+ MSI b450 tomahawk. I looked up the QVL on MSI website and obviously, many 16gb 3200mhz kits which are available in the market aren't listed there. I wanted to know whether I need to refer to the qvl even for 2666/2667 MHz speeds. Because there are a few 2666 modules which aren't there in the qvl. So under/equal to what speed will a ram run at the rated speed even if its not listed in the qvl. Is it 2400 or is it 2666. Because both are non-oc speeds. Thank you and please reply.

G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR4 3600Mhz Memory. Model: F4-3600C17D-16GTZR It says it is optimized for Ryzen, although there aren't much reviews on it for me to settle on it, so I'm curious if this is the best RAM to get since it's at 3600mhz and 16-18-18-38 Latency. Or should I just get the G.Skill Flare X 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR4 3200Mhz Memory Black instead? I'm open to all opinions, so feel free to give any extra info if you want.

Hello again, today is the day I get to build, bitch, go to best but or micro center, build again, and go get a beer. I originally went Intel 2066, with a EVGA DARK. I returned that for a ASUS ROG ZENITH ($400 even a good price?) and went with a AMD TR4 1920X (again was $400 even a good price). I have a Corsair CMW16GX4M2C3600C18 and G.Skill F4-3200C16D-16GVGB ram. Corsair is $210, and G.Skill is 134. I did read I am willing to buy more RAM on BF, but this get the system up and runnning. Bar the idiotic LEDS, is it worth the difference for the $75, for 400hrz? I haven't posted the system with the RAM either, so bar none, it could come down to compatibility. Can anyone refer me to memory benchmark software, if both post, and I wanted to see the difference, or should I just use some in game bench marks and cinebench? I'm going to try to be diligence, and post my results,. Second, anyone want to throw their hat into the ring about the SSD RAID vs NVME? Onboard vs Hardware Raid. The card is Adaptec RAID 6805E Storage Controller, which is a pce 1x. The board has raid on it, AMD X399 chipset : 6 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), Support Raid 0, 1, 10 I am going to try to make sure to disable the appropriate things in bios before testing the system. Need help with my ram speeds, every time i use them at their base 3200 mhz speed i get a blue screen. It boots to windows but after a bit it crashes with a blue screen. Its only stable with everything at auto which is 2133 mhz. I already tried updating bios, using xmp, memory try it and every time it crashes.
