There are been a lot of reports about Nvidia RTX 3000 series card under preforming. Mostly the RTX 3080. My own RTX 3060 Ti is not able to put up 144 FPS while in Minecraft. (All settings on medium 1080p) Has anyone found a way to fix these problems? Maybe a driver update (My drivers are all up to date) I know this seems like a GOOD problem to have, because at least I have a 3000 series card. But I went out and spent $400 USD on a video card, only for it to preform no better than a RTX 2060. Any help is much appreciated!

Hey! I just bought a 3000 series of graphics cards from MSI. I installed it as usual and everything and after I installed the drivers it stopped giving a signal to my screen. I have tried uninstalling the drivers also with ddu. but now my computer does not detect it and it is not in the device manager even when I have checked show hidden. My previous graphics card works in the compute and its also work to run from the motherboard. Things i have tried change the cables (PCIe) And check if 24pin and cpu cables sit right. Switch seats to the PCIe slot below. Tried to install the drivers manually but it does not work. Updated windows and drivers. Removed 1 ram stick at a time. disconnected fans etc. to try to boot. I do not know if you have to do something special in windows or bios. My specs Nzxt z490 motherboard I9 10850k corsair 16x2 Gb 3200mhz 3060 ti msi gaming x trio nzxt kraken z73 total of 7 fans in my case 2tb hdd, 256gb m.2 the graphics card is lights up and the fans are working. Could it be my PSU that is not providing enough W? I have a corsair tx750m bronze that is about 3 years old. I'm not used to the nzxt bios and not sure what to change or not. I have not overclocked CPU only set my ram to 3200mhz. I do not have the opportunity to try my graphics card in someone else's computer

I have no clue. I'm currently building an Itx PC but I want to get something better than an rtx 2060 in the future. So I was wondering if the rtx 3000 series would have Itx GPUs. I haven't seen any info about it so I would like to know if you guys have a lead. Thank you

Hey, so I know the 3080 drops in about a week from now, and everyone is wanting to buy anything that has a number 3 in it, but I am wondering if I should buy either of these graphics cards right now and save myself the disappointment later. The two cards are a 2070 and a 2060 super, both from gigabyte and both are about 650 aud. https://www.austin.net.au/gigabyte-gv-n2070wf2-8gd-graphics-card-geforce-rtx-2070-8-gb-gddr6.html (2070 card) https://www.austin.net.au/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-2060-super-windforce-oc-8g.html (2060s card) I'm only going to be gaming at 1080p with an r5 3600, but I will be using ray tracing for games like cyberpunk and minecraft if i can. Which one should i buy? Or should I just hold out for the 3070 even though its far more pricey and kind of overdoing it? P.S. I dont know if this should go in building or graphics cards so i posted it here bc its more of a purchase question

Hey, everything is in the title. I'm asking that because, at first I ve watched this : NVIDIA just made EVERYTHING ELSE obsolete. Plus according to the Nvidia official website 3070 : 519e 3080 : 719e 3090 : 1549e But then I've been in a PC shop (LDLC) and talked with a seller... He said 3070 will be around 1000, 1100e. because of "card manufacturer" How the hell is that Fu@$lg Shfekkzok$$I though... Is that possible???

Hi everyone I thought I'd make this topic for myself and all the others looking at selling their previous generation GPUs. This is not a topic about performance or if its worth it to make the switch. What would you guys say the resale value/price of previous generation GPUs should be?

Hey Guys, I am about to build myself a brand new gaming pc (super excited) just waiting for the Ampere launch and things should start to get in motion. However, not sure what to do about my monitor. I am aiming to get a 3080 so am definitely looking at upgrading from my current 1080p 144hz 1ms monitor. However, am stuck between these 2 options. 1440p @165Hz & 1ms OR 4K @60Hz & 4/5ms The games I am looking to play include: StarWars Squadrons (VR) Doom Eternal Assetto Corsa (VR) Cyberpunk Battlefield Avengers Fallen Order For those that are going to say get a 4K@144hz or something, know that they are well out of my budget until prices for those monitors come down in the future. Was hoping if anyone had any suggestions/opinions or has possibly experienced the difference between the two. Cheers, Vainsy

Hey Guys, So I am building a PC and going all out as this will be my only build for many years to come. I recently just ordered an Intel i9-10900K as I figured that this is only a gaming rig, I may as well get the best of the best for my use case. I snapped up the 10900K as stock is hard to find. However, today I saw GN's video (as I am sure many of you did also) about how Ampere is going to support PCIE 4.0. Since Ryzen is the only platform to support PCIE 4.0 I freaked out and now am thinking that I should swap my 10900K for a Ryzen processor as I would be very upset if I cannot get the maximum performance out of my GPU (I plan to buy RTX 3080 when it releases). Please let me know what you think I should do as I don't have much time until I can cancel my order of the 10900K. Even though Intel is better for gaming at the moment, do you think I should play safe and just get Ryzen? Or do you think that the 3080 won't have enough performance to saturate PCIE 3.0 x16, so Intel should be fine. Cheers,

So I just heard the rumor about the new 30-Series GPU's potentially requiring a 12 pin connector and how that would mean people would have to buy a new PSU on top of everything. Obviously it's just a rumor at this point, but my question is if the new 3000 series does in fact need a 12 pin connector, wouldn't one just need a 12 pin cable and not a whole new PSU? Or would you really have to shell out more money for a new PSU that has the cable should the new GPU's require the 12 pin?

Hey guys; long time viewer, first time writer: I'm building my first gaming PC and I had a major question. I was planning on buying the 2060 super for my $2000CDN build, but I've heard some rumors that the 3000 series from Nvidia is about to release sometime in 2020. I am concerned that this could cause a price drop in the 2060 and I'll lose out on cash I could have saved by waiting a couple months. Do you guys know how true these rumors are or is it worth just buying it now anyways. I want to have my computer finished by September and I don't want to wait too long. Thanks, POLUS BOLUS

Hi y'all! This will be my very first PC build and I've been saving up to invest in a workstation that will last me for a few good years! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Budget & Location I'm located deep in the heart of Texas and my budget is around $3000. I'm planning on building this PC during this year's black Friday so hopefully I can score some good deals and wait for the new 4th gen Rzyen processors and ATX 3000 series. The PC is going to be in my room and I'm planning moving in the next two years. Aim I mainly want to use this set up for 4k content consuming and the occasional 4K gaming and editing. My main focus is content consuming since I do that the most rn. I don't know if having a 4K setup makes sense for youtube and other streaming services such as netflix and hulu if not all content is uploaded in 4k. But having a higher resolution screen means better content quality right? I have a lot of confusion on that but that's what I'm going with. When it comes to gaming, I don't play any triple A games but I want to start with The last of Us 2 and cyberpunk, (if they come out on PC). For now I play fornite and rocket league. I also edit videos as a side passion and occasional job. I haven't used any 4K footage yet, but in the near footage I'll be using 4K footage. Monitors I know if content consuming is my main focus I should get a LG CX TV but there is no desk/room real estate for a 48 in TV and if I'm planning on moving in 2 years I don't think I want to deal with a big 48 screen to haul around. I was thinking about choosing between 2 monitors the Acer Predator x27 or the new LG 27GN950-B 27. They are both 4K at 144 hz. The LG has a faster response time, but the x27 has a higher brightness. I'm leaning towards LG bec it's cheaper and faster while still having the same resolution. The difference in nit brightness shouldn't be too much right? Also I heard the X27 might have a fan problem. Peripherals I already have peripherals: a Roccat Vulcan 120 and Logitech MX master 3 (I know I should probably get a gaming mouse like the Razer Viper), but I really like the Logitech mouse...I should probably get a gaming mouse. Why Am I upgrading? I'm currently using a Dell XPS 15 as a my daily driver. I got it for it's portability but I want something that can play triple A games and push out 4K content. I also want something that will last me over the years and I can just swap out the parts. The Dell XPS 15 7950 is connected to a Dell Usb-C 1440 60hz monitor, S2719DC. Any advise to my planned PC would be greatly appreciated! You can suggest anything! I''m pretty much open to any ideas. Thank you guys in advance! Beside the RTX 3000 series have high different core counts than the 2000 series, are there any new 3000 technology that the 2000 series don't have?

I have gotten my hands on a dev unit. Suppose to be the... *Drumroll* ampere! Which one. Idk. Which one I hope? Umm duh the best. So. It posts. It boots. No driver. Ran across a video of this dude assigning drivers? To a amd devunit. So here I am. I collect many dev units. But this one is currently my prize possession. And IS NOT FOR SALE!. That being said. Help me make this damn card do its job. Pics come later so stay tuned..

Hey! I'm looking to build a new pc around 1200-1500$ and I wonder if I should wait for new pc hardware launches such as the upcoming "Big navi" or "rtx 3000"? I mostly play games with competitive settings at 240 fps, but i would also like to play 1440p lower fps racing games. Since I'm a student, I will be at home the following months and would like to have an upgrade over my current rig with a 1050 ti and a core i5 4570. Because of this reason i would like to build my new pc now if the upcoming launches won't bring much more to the table. I live in Sweden and pc parts are in stock at the usual prices, so that isn't an issue.

I currently have 2x8 gb 2666mhz ram from Corsair rgb pro vengeance, but I want to upgrade to a 64gb kit and I can’t work out if the price benefits of 2x(16x2) kits is better than 1x(4x16gb) kit. Speeds wise I’d have to go for 3200mhz if it was a 4x16 kit since on amazon it’s £398 compared to the £850 cost of a 3600mhz kit. However a dual kit of 2x16gb ddr4 3200 is only £174 and if I got 2 of them it would be cheaper than a quad kit, what’s better? Also bear in mind the prices are from rgb kits as I plan to move my pc to my desk at some point. Thanks

x370 X370 update roadblock cleared or not?
Tech Reprise posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hello, I bought a ryzen 3500 for my ax370-Gaming Rev 1.x Gigabyte mobo and wanted to update bios on it. So I did all the steps and when on flashing the EC Firmware from Bios F31 it reverted bios to F20 (which is the bios my board came with). Now the problem here is that many say that while EC Firmware updating the mobo will boot into the Backup Bios instead of Main Bios and it should revert back to the old bios after a full shutdown and restart. So I did all that and even after a day of shutting down the Bios was the same F20, so I flashed F30>F31>F40. Now will this update be erased if the Main bios triggers again (only if the ec tool booted into backup bios) also is there anyway to know which bios is currently being used by the mobo? Now the main thing that concerns me is that if it reverts back then I am doomed AF as only F40 and up has ryzen 3000 support. -
Hi all, I am very confused. I am looking at the MSI QVL for the board I am thinking of buying to find out which memory would go well with it. The board is the B450 Gaming plus Max (QVL: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B450-GAMING-PLUS-MAX#support-mem-19). I'm not sure I understand what the 1|2|4 Dimm stands for, does it mean if it only is checked for 1 and 2 Dimms that it won't work (at the reported speed) with 4 Dimms? I want to start of with 16GBs and then expand to 32 if needed (Blender and gaming, possible Unity) Also I am now looking at this GSkill Aegis set since it's relatively cheap, it's present in the QVL and, if I do understand the check-marks correctly, can be used with 4 modules. Is it worth spending about 25 euros more on 3200MHz RAM? Will be using it with a Ryzen 5 3600 to replace a 1231V3 with 16GB DDR3@1600MHz. Thanks

Hi guys, I'm thinking of purchasing a Ryzen 5 3600 along with a MSI B450 Gaming plus MAX motherboard (due to the out-of-the-box support for ryzen 3000). I will be replacing a E3-1231V3 with 16gb of DDR3@1600MHz. I'm not really much for overclocking, though I might give it a try at some point. At the moment I don't see myself using more than 16GBs of memory, but in the future I might (Deep Learning and 3D modelling), so I want 4 DIMM slots of which two are occupied. I am mostly torn between 3000MHz, since there is a kit that is cheap and tested in the QVL of the mobo to support the speed and support up to 4 DIMMs. For some reason most memory is only compatible in one or two DIMMs. I am looking at this set: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/FNprxr/gskill-aegis-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3000-memory-f43000c16d16gisb Going for 3200MHz will cost me at least 15-20 euro more if I pick a set that is compatible with 4 DIMMs on this motherboard. Should I really spend that much more on slightly faster RAM? Thanks

I recently made a forum about my friends PC but now that I have mine I have problems. It doesn't turn on it used to blink red for a millisecond. I tried changing the front panels connectors and replugged in everything from the PSU and I think it is faulty! please help. Specs: Ryzen 5 3600X - Stock Cooler MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge Wifi 2x8gb 3200mhz Corsair Vengeance RGB Red Devil RX 5700 XT 1TB NVMe Adata XPG 750W Thermaltake grandpower 80+ GOLD NZXT H510 Elite I spent 2300 AU dollars please I beg the pc gods for forgiveness. UPDATE 10/10/2019! I just want to inform everyone I apologise for not replying and being a little salty. I found out my 24 pin was installed incorrectly and this is a message to all new builders install your cables correctly and have learn't that PC's are sensitive. I have now installed windows and have done all my drivers everything is working I appreciate the constant support and help from members. I only have one thing left to do I tried getting my ram to 3200mhz at it's meant to be speed but I used XMP and then it stopped booting and I reset the cmos everything is fine now. Do i need to change any voltages or should i just change the value to 3200 and then apply and boot? no rush for this answer was just wondering.
