Okay, should I get the i5 4460 or spend the extra $50 i5 4490k and overclock it? I'm looking to future proof so I can run most games at 1080p maxed out 60fps, mostly battlefied games, probably arma 3 aswell. Would the 4460 be able to get the performance I want or should I just go balls deep and get the 4490k?

Is this card good enough for games like csgo or gta5 for now

Hey guys, I've been having some issues with Crossfire recently causing my games to freeze up my whole system. I've tried drivers 14.12 and the two most recent Beta drivers but the issue still persists. I'm running two Sapphire Dual-X R9 270X's. Is the CX750M enough for Crossfire with these cards? Thanks.

Hey all, So I recently installed two R9 270X's in Crossfire and have been experiencing a lot of crashing, stuttering, and overall glitching. I installed both cards, connected the crossfire bridge, then proceeded to boot my rig and install the drivers. I noticed in GPU-Z that the two identical cards are showing different specs. Here are the links to the two different validations: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/details.php?id=m4k57 https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/details.php?id=uvxuq Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeros crashing often as well as Skyrim. Also, if my system is asleep for too long, the screen will not wake up. System specs are as follows: i7 4770K 16GB G. Skill RAM Gigabyte GA-Z87X UD4H Motherboard 2 SSD's - One Boot Drive, other game drive 2 HDD's - Storage and backup CX750M Power Supply Thanks for the help!

Hey guys, I have had an ongoing issue with GTA V since release. I have been trying to sort it out with Rockstar but they have given up after a month with a ticket So maybe someone on here could chuck us a hand and see what is actually happening... I have managed to get an on screen display for GTA V on of my GPU usage, RAM usage, CPU usage and all the speeds etc. And my problem is that nothing is maxed out most of the stuff is around 50% like RAM and CPU but the GPU is about 34% usage with only 1066MB of VRAM getting used the highest I have seen the GPU usage go up to about 42% in game. And yet it is lagging??? Is there something limiting my system for the game or something because I would of thought that having used half the VRAM and most of my components are near 50% and also on MINIMUM GRAPHICS that it should not lag no way.. Also I will list some screenshots of my settings and fps. BTW temps are all fine. It only happens with this game my system is fine with any other game help please???

Hi! I would like to upgrade from my 270x to something better performing, with more vRAM. I don't have a ton of money, and I'd have to use the money I'd get from the 270x to get the new card. I might be able, at most, to add about 1000 SEK to that money. That's about $115. Components are really expensive here. A GTX 970 is 3990 SEK, or $450, a 980Ti is 7299 (cheapest model), or $830. I'd get between 1000 and 1400 SEK for the 270x, $115-160. So I'd have between 2000-2400 at most. $230-275. Help?

Hey guys, So I recently switched graphics cards to Crossfire 270x's and subsequently, I don't feel like putting in the effort to try and make my Hackintosh work on my dual-boot system. So now I have a spare 128GB SSD and was wondering if it was possible to move my game library to this drive. Most of my games are through Steam but I also have a few Origin games and standalone's as well. Any advice on how to do this or if it's even possible? Thanks!

Alright so I decided to overclock my GPU (Sapphire r9 270x 2gb OC) and this is the most stable I've gotten without touching the voltage at all Stock Core: 1070 MHz Memory: 1400 MHz OC Core: 1200 MHz Memory: 1500 MHz The stock I got 27.2 FPS and 686 score. OC I got 30.3 FPS 765 score My Temps have been around 65 Degrees. Not going to 70 at all. These results were on Heaven btw. It was doing fine when higher but sometimes it would randomly give me a black screen during the benchmark and would give me less results. Does anyone know the safest voltage I could go for with this particular card? And does touching the memory even do anything? Thanks.

Title. I already own a 270x, my motherboard supports CF, my PSU isn't enough but I was planning to get a more powerful one later before I even built my PC so that's not an issue. Thanks.

do i need to upgrade my card or not?

I have an Gigabyte R9 270x 4gb card and have had it for about 8 months with no issues. A month ago I started playing around with overclocking and found what seemed to be a stable clock speed. In the last week I have been having issues with one of my screens glitching out and going white. Sometimes my game crashes, other times it keeps going. This tend to happened when I am doing multiple things. I receive a driver crash notification but my drivers are all up to date. What could be wrong/what can I do?

I have a friend that is giving me his old 7850. I know some amd cards can crossfire with their older counterparts. so i am wondering if i can crossfire the 7850 with my 270x. Thanks.

Hello! I have a problem with my Radeon graphics card. The drivers will uninstall themselves upon reboot. Not to mention that the windows Aero transparency will not work on my taskbar, and Garry's Mod jumping from 0 - 150 FPS rapidly and me running like sonic the hedgehog around servers, which indeed gets me banned. I've been coping with this for about a week now, but I NEED to find a fix. Things I have tried: Making sure Catalyst or Raptr dont run on start Using display driver uninstaller to wipe it all clean and then reinstalling the drivers Specs: AMD FX 6300 CPU Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 4GB With Boost & OC HyperX Fury 8GB @ 1833 Mhz WD Caviar 1TB HDD Antec VP450 PSU AsRock 980DE3/U3S3 Mobo

Hey guys, I was wondering what setup would be better to upgrade my system. I was trying to debate on buying a R9 290X to replace my R9 270X, when I thought of the idea to swap my motherboard, buy a new power-supply, and buy another R9 270X. Which one of these would be the better buy, or should I wait for a new AMD card? This is what I'd have to buy to crossfire:

Hello community! I'm starting to save up for a $150 - $170 graphics card and the best options I found were the R9 270 and the R9 270X. Should I go with the R9 270 or save up the extra $20 and get the R9 270X? Also I'm planning to get the MSI version of these cards, and I also would like to know which one is better in terms of overclocking. I would appreciate feedback from this awesome community!

Hi I have a system with FM2+ socket AMD Kaveri A8-7600 APU >>> http://shop.amd.com/en-gb/components/processors/AD7600YBJABOX With the upcoming Mortal Kombat X launch in April I need a GPU which delivers consistent 60 fps. So I was thinking an R9 270x will do the job or if I buy 260x or 270x you guys think I could only use it in medium settings and it would deliver 60 fps only @720p ? It is essential for a online fighting game to minimize lag and deliver 60 fps cause the game engine is developed for 60 fps gaming. What are your thoughts on this. Discuss

Ok imma play 4 games with 3 different cards to see which is the worse. Games: Bioshock Infinite, Borderlands Prequel, Spintires, and Payday 2. Cards: XFX 7950 3gb (single fan), XFX 270x double disposition 2gb, and MSI GTX960 2gb 100me. Wondering if these will perform the same or which will run the worse?

Guys I'm desperate for help, I want your input about what the problem might be. At this point I just want to go out and buy a new GPU but that's costly... So, a few months ago I bought an R9 270X Toxic but since I bought it I haven't been able to enjoy it. Games stutter and they don't run like they should, not at the fps and settings they should and it's not smooth. I realized my system was not stable, that the VRMs on my motherboard would overheat and that the CPU (FX 6300) was asking for stupidly high voltage, I immediately knew I needed a new PSU, what I had was a cheap KingWin PSU, so I bought an EVGA 600W 80 plus Bronze PSU confident that this would fix my problem, NOPE. My processor was still acting funny and I had one stick of RAM that didn't run at the speed that it should (it was supposed to be 1600MhZ and ran at 1333) I was sick of having issues, all I wanted to do was play games. So, for Christmas I asked for a new motherboard (Gigabyte 970 UD3P) and RAM. I knew this would fix everything because the GPU appears to be fine, runs at the speeds it should, it does not overheat, I don't have BSODs or see any artifacts. After installing everything and yes, with a clean install of Windows it fixed some of my problems, the CPU is finally stable using decent voltages, nothing is overheating and RAM works fine BUT GPU is still not fine, games sometimes stutter a little, Mantle still doesn't work in BF4 and it just doesn't give the performance it should. I get very big FPS drops in any game and very low performance, everything is kind of choppy, things take some time to load so it hitches and stutters. The only things left to switch out are the HDD which is a WD Caviar Blue 7200 RPM drive and the GPU which appears to be completely fine just gives lower than expected performance. Want to hear your input on this, could it be the HDD that's taking time to load things and decreasing performance? or is this just a faulty GPU that works for the most part fine... I could really use some of your input. Thanks.

Hello all! I'm considering crossfiring my current MSI R9 270x 2G with another one soon, I've looked around and I should have the wattage required, I'm, using an EVGA Supernova NEX750B for power. I have looked and found that I need around 50 amps on my 12V rail, and I have 61 amps available. my only issue is that my PSU only supports 3 6+2 VGA cables. Here's where I started digging. http://www.evga.com/support/manuals/files/110-B1-0750.pdf This is where I found that I may be able to use my CPU2 plug for the 4th 6+2 power lead. The CPU2 rail has 20 amps by itself and is the only plug on 12V3 (rail 3 of 12v I'm assuming) so it ought to be doable. Now I need to either adapt my own CPU2 cable to a 6+2 male end or find another suitable cable that will plug into CPU2 and terminate in a 6+2 VGA. Don't tell me to get a better single card please. I know it might be a better performer but this is my goal. Thanks in advance for your help! Specs: EVGA supernova NEX 750B Semi modular Corsair Obsidian 350D Asus Z97M-Plus Intel 4690K, not overclocked yet Using a stock cooler right now, planning on an H110 then some OCing Kingston HyperX 8GB 2X4 1866 MSI R9 270x 2GB (planning on a second) Segate 1TB HDD 7200RPM Kingston SSDNow v300 250GB Also planning to add 2 front AF140 fans later. So total potential fans are 1 120mm and 4 140mm
