Hi I just got a new ryzen 5800x3d, so i updated my bios to the latest version and switched to the new CPU with no luck the PC doesnt post and the red CPU indicator is on, i tried re-seating the CPU without success, after switching back to my old 2600x everything booted fine. Specs: CPU: Ryzen 2600x (upgraded to ryzen 5800x3d) Mobo: MSI X470 Gaming Pro (MS-7B79) Memory: 32 GB (4x8gb) Corsair GPU: RTX 4070 Boot drive: Samsung Sata SSD Edit: PSU: Corsair RM1000X (1000 watt)

Will a rtx 3070 be a good match for a 2600x at 1080p? Well if I can even find one in stock... I know that higher resolution requires more gpu power and cpu starts to relax, but will I loose too much performance if don't upgrade cpu aswell? My target is to run all games at the highest settings @1080p @144hz. I mostly play Fps games but I don't care if it is slow-paced game I want same results XD. What dou you prefer for 2600X? 1. Auto. I get 4.240Ghz, 0.788v on Idle and 1.46v spikes on load. 2. Manual. 4.0Ghz overcook at around 1.3v, but everything is fixed, no spikes but also doesn't come down on idle. Is there a way to make clock and voltage come down on manual overclock? I've already enabled Global C States and PSU Low Current on Idle.

I was thinking of upgrading my PC for better Productivity as in rendering with Blender and working with big Canvases in Clip Studio, would it make sense to upgrade to something like a 5600x or 5800x right now? My 2600x works fine for gaming at 1440p and I probably wont be able to upgrade the GPU anyways in the next few years. Plus I wont switch to DDR5 anytime soon. What do you think? My current System is as follows: Ryzen 2600x RTX 2070 Super 600W Powersupply Asus B450-F Mobo 2x8GB 3200mhz RAM I can get a 5600x for 300€ (~340$) or a 5800x for 380€ (~430$) new. Might find a good deal for a used one though.

Are these bios settings safe for the ryzen 5 2600x? Bios Version 3002 Motherboard: Asus Tuf B450 Plus-Gaming Cpu: Ryzen 5 2600x Cooler: Cooler Master ML240 L rgb v2 Ram: GSkill Trident z 3600Mhz CL18 This PC is just for gaming, all I want is to use the full potential of the cpu without damaging it. I've read multiple posts, recomendations but it all has been too confusing. The core/vddcr voltage is the one that worries me the most, as some people say 1.4 volts for long term is bad. Currently the VDDCR Voltage sits around 1.37 - 1.417. Also the max boost I've seen is 4.06 Ghz. Gamers nexus video on how to kill your cpu with "safe" settings makes me doubt even more XD.

The gtx 1660 gpu i ordered new for around - 280 dollars, as there were not really any other better options for buying a better new graphics card in my country, and don't really have the means to be ordering from abroad right now where it might be cheaper. But a friend is willing to sell me his old graphics card rx 580 for around - 170 dollars My main concerns for the gpu choice is whats the best decision of these going down the line value wise for the prices im given,cus most likely in a few years time ill be needing to upgrade the gpu,considing both arent the greatest. I got the 3600x for around - 220 dollars, the 2600x was around - 160 dollars So my question here is is the 60 dollar difference really worth the gaming performance difference i get. And will it be better to put these 60 dollars somewhere else as considering its gonna be used mostly for gaming, and there isn't a big difference in gaming performance between the two as far as i know. Hi. I just recieved my rtx 3070 and replaced my 1070ti. My current specs are: ryzen 5 2600x 16 gb 2666mhz ram rtx 3070 Intel 660p nvme ssd For some reason WoW only runs at 50 fps and does not seem to utilize my pc even if there is perfomance left to use. Am i being bottlenecked or what is going on? I included an image of my joblist so you can see the percantages of each parts usage. Thanks in advance :)

So, I am planing on building a PC for streaming and performance while gaming (more fps) in 2021. I've decided to either use a AMD 2600X (because people say its better for streaming) with a RTX 2060 Super and 16 GB of RAM OR Intel Core i5-9600KF with RTX 2060 Super and 16 GB of RAM When i go to UserBench mark however, the I5 build is vastly superior in preformace. I want to use this computer for the next three years 2021-2024 so I need something that will be up to date and will also be exelent for streaming. What do you think I should go for? Everyone is telling me 2600X is better for Streaming, but the i5 vastly out preformce the 2600X in FPS.

So i want to get a pc to play heavily modded minecraft but im not sure if i need an rtx 2060 becuz minecraft is a cpu intensive game. so should i get a worse graphics card and put more money into upgrading my cpu from ryzen 5 2600x into something like ryzen 7?

Hi everybody. I have recently finished a new mini-itx build (see parts below), but I have some problems with it. I can't get a post. When looking at the motherboard I can see that the white Q-LED is on. Which in the manual states that it's a VGA problem. It is going yellow (DRAM), red (CPU) and then solid white (VGA). All fans are running and it seems like the system is running fine. I have tried to change the video card to another (identical) card with the same result. I have a RTX 2070, but I can't fit it in the case because it's too wide so it can't fit. I checked all the cables both power and all the others. I have tried both DVI output on the cards (also the other card), and I get the same result - also tried different ports on the monitor. No post - white QLED. I was worried that it might be a power problem, so I disconnected all the SATA and tried again, but with the same issue. Have also tried to take one of the memory sticks out, and only booting with one. The WD blue is mounted on the back, which results in that the PCIe is only running x8 instead of x16. But to my knowledge this should not be a problem? To my knowledge the motherboard should be ready for the 2600X - the packages says 2000 and 3000 series ready. $1,200 - $1,400 USA Photo editing - Lightroom and Photoshop (layers, blending, stitching) for A7 II RAW files / Gaming - WoW BfA, Diablo 3, PoE, DotA, LotR, ESO, CoD, BF1, Witcher, Dark Souls (in order of importance). Will need all components of a PC build - monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers (if not integrated with monitor) and/or headset, case, and psu. Main objective is compactness and upgradability. For example, I can find the Ryzen 5 2600X for a great price and B450 boards are cheap - these boards can also be used for a future upgrade to, say, Ryzen 7 3800X; although, keep in mind most B450 boards I am seeing for Micro ATX don't go past 3200 memory speeds and the sweet spot for the Zen 2, as I am led to believe by studies, is 3600; moreover, this also brings RAM into the picture as I would like something that can scale to 3200 C14 and 3600 C16. Since "future proofing" is what I am mostly after, in terms of upgradability, the new 4000 series AMD chips will not be supported by B450; additionally, if the new 4000 series has a new 'sweet spot' for RAM, I would like my memory to have the ability to OC past 3600 stable. RAM to be considered is 32GB with the board allowing me to add an additional 2 sticks to total 64GB. Monitor - if possible, 27" 1440p 120Hz/144Hz IPS. IPS since this will essentially double as an editing monitor and color accuracy is important. I would ideally like to only be switching out CPU and GPU in the future to reduce how much money I 'lose' out on. Most importantly is your experience and feedback. So, my 2600x on idle is hot, voltage hungry and runs at high clocks. Is everything normal? I disabled PBO from the BIOS. I am running on the windows balanced power plan. (It sometimes gets back to the Ryzen Power plan, i dunno how to fix that.)

So something is wrong here and I don't know what it is. When i'm looking at benchmarks on Youtube when they are playing rainbow six siege and example terrorist hunt. They are having around 190fps in spawn and they have ultra settings. I have low settings on all and only get like 130fps and in multiplayer around 115, and when they are looking in the center of the map they are not having any fps drops. When i'm looking at the center on any map in the game, I will have like 40-50 fps drop, but when i'm not looking at the center, i'm getting around 160 fps. On my task manager i'll have around 80-90% on my cpu and only like 50% on my 2060. I have also put settings on high performance on my NVIDIA Control panel. In power options I have Ultimate performance. Also in my Chinebench my cpu is getting 3016pts. My specs is 2060 Ryzen 5 2600x OC 4.0 8GB RAM HDD 899GB SSD 450GB 144HZ monitor and 450 psu.

Hi all, Hoping you can help. I got up this morning 2 hours before work to fiddle with my tech, and get my Rig updated. All good...updated the BIOS pending a potential 3000 series upgrade (maybe), amongst other things, and all went well until I tried to restore previously saved configs from my X470 Prime Pro board for my 2600x rig. Long story short, no post. I had to power off, CMOS clear, yada yada yada. Anyway, I tried again thinking it was something and nothing...same. So, here I am, 90mins later, back to square one with a few questions as I can't recall what the hell I tweaked before! What voltage offsets are people using on the 2600X? Currently my voltage is up at 1.35 but I seem to recall I could knock quite a bit off that by using the offset mode in the UEFI Bios. Bios Profiles - does anybody know if I can save them to a USB, and manually retrieve the settings (from txt file or some such) or is it all garbled? All I've done so far is enable XMP profile for RAM, and tried to adjust fan curves as best as I could remember - any other one click settings anybody recommends? I hate myself, I hate my memory, and I hate technology That is all! (obviously the above isn't true, but I'm sure we're all been in a time limited situation where something straightforward should take 15mins, and there you are, a large chunk of time later with nothing moving!!)

Hi everyone, I've recently built a computer (back in April I should say). Specs below: CPU- Ryzen 5 2600X Mobo- Asrock B450 Gaming K4 RAM- Corsair LPX 2 x 8GB 3200mhz CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 However later on I then realised that my RAM was not running at the advertised speed, so I did all I could to get it to work at 3200mhz. Later I realised that it wasn't on my Mobo's QVL list. So I got new RAM which were on the QVL list Patriot 16GB kit (2x 8GB) PVR416G320C6K Tried everything I could again to get it to run at 3200Mhz, which it did sometimes. But then my PC would crash with the blue screen with errors that relates to the RAM. At this stage I've tried everything, even using DRAM Calculator for Ryzen. Then I got another set of RAM sticks, Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 16GB kit (2 x 8GB) CMW16GX4M2C3200C16 Same story, the highest speed I could get the RAM to work is 2800mhz (stable). If I tried to load XMP 3200mhz it would just restart none stop and then go back to the auto speed of 2133mhz. Then I start reading about XMP profile being unreliable for Ryzen etc. However I've read reviews of people being able to use this RAM kit on a Ryzen 2700X on a B450 Mobo and able to use XMP Profile at the rated 3200mhz speed no problems. So finally, the questions I suppose that I have/would like answers for are.. 1) Ryzen 5 2600X advertise that their System Memory Specification is 2933MHz, what does that mean? I can't get any faster speeds? 2) Is my motherboard faulty? Why couldn't the Patriot kit that was on the QVL list unable to run at 3200mhz without crashing? 3) What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated guys, thanks!

Hi all, first time posting here! I built my first rig more than a month ago, but there has being some weird issues going on with my cpu boosting to super high speed and using voltage that seem way to high to be normal. Its definitely not my cpu cooler though I am using a big after market cooler afterall. The idle temps were around 45-55 or so. Hwinfo was also showing that the cpu was fed 1.4v to all cores and up constantly while idling. Down volting would just destabilize the machine and would fail a aida64 fpu burn test within minutes. This is me running everything on AUTO. I have double checked in bios that everything was set to auto and no overclocking is done. My rig is using : NZXT h500i with 2 140mm intake and 2 exhaust fans rog strix x470 gaming-f r5 2600x with nh-d15s corsair vengeance rgb pro rog strix 2070 I do live in singapore where the room temperature can be pretty high, but i usually have my air conditioner on at about 25 Celsius. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just bought a refurbished bundle of a Ryzen 5 2600X and an MSI X470 GAMING PLUS Motherboard for £135 or $170 from ebuyer. Do you think this was worth it? I thought it was as the 2600X more expensive than that by itself and the student life doesn't leave much money for an upgrade from my old rig. It did not state whether or not it was the mobo or CPU that was refurbished, but I though CPUs are quite hardy so it's likely its the mobo. Customer support wasn't helpful following my question, but idek. thanks.

my pc has a R5 2600x with 16gb ram c15 3000mhz, a 650w psu a rtx2070 and i cant play anything because my system will crash into every game from 1 minute to an hour into it. Here is what i tried yet, flashing mobo bios, underclocking the memory, overvolting the memory, activated and deactivated every possible bios setting related to memory and cpu performance and power, updated to 1903, updated every driver, chipset driver, ran benchmark for 2 hours in aida64 (no crash for cpu, memory and gpu). i benchmarked with cinebench 3-4 times in a row, still no crash. benchmarked with superposition 10 times in a row, still no crash. dxdiag says everything is a-ok. none of that has done the trick. so i wiped my pc for a clean windows install. and re did everything you just read. and still. the problem persists. by the way, psu is new, cpu is new, gpu is new, mobo is new, only ''used'' part is the ram. already contacted amd and corsair for troubleshooting with the cpu and ram but i would like to make my pc work asap. thanks in advance.

I plugged in the front panel as the last thing and hit the power button and my PSU made a loud buzzing noise for like half a second and then pretty much blew up. A small spark flew out and slight smell of burning. Two questions 1. was this my fault? Later I contacted the seller from Ebay and he said that he was unable to test this unit before it was sent, but initially when I plugged everything in the ram did light up. 2. ARE ANY OF MY OTHER COMPONENTS BROKE BECAUSE OF THIS please, if you have had this experience let me know what parts broke or didn't as a result. I will be getting the same model PSU tomorrow (3-12-20) and installing it, but how do I know if it fried my MB, CPU, GPU, SSD, HDD, or RAM?

Hi guys, So what are your thoughts on these 3 components? CPU: Ryzen 5 2600x Mobo: Gigabyte X470 AORUS GAMING 5 WIFI RAM: 16GB of G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3200Mhz The GPU I'm planning to pair it with is either an RTX 2060 or an RTX 2070. Case I'm planning to get is the Cooler Master H500M. So is there sufficient internal headers for the case?(There's a type C front port) Will either RTX cards go well with the 2600x? And is the stock cooler enough if I want to oc the CPU? My goal is for 1080p gaming at max settings. And maybe a little 1440p gaming with high settings. (Depending on which GPU I get I'm content with just 1080p gaming.) Please note this will be my first PC(but don't know when I will buy the parts. I may try to wait for 3rd gen Ryzen cpus). Also I have little understanding to compatibility of the parts. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I am beginner at overclocking looking to overclock my Ryzen 5 2600x a bit about build: asrock b450 pro4 ddr4 3200mhz cl16 hyperx predator 1.35v nh-l12 120mm and 90mm fans case fans: 3x nf-a12 I know motherboard is not the best for overclocking, I did some mild overclock in bios running 4.1ghz @1.375v haven't touched anything else. cinebench15 cpu: 1402 single core: 171 69c max temp I would like to get more info how to overclock or maybe lower the voltage, also I would like to know what is vcore offest and vcore NB offset in the bios. Hi, does anybody have any idea why the "AMD OVERCLOCKING" section in my bios is missing? ryzen 5 2600x x570 aorus elite current f11 bios There seem to be a handfull of users having the same problem, but none of them got any answers. One user claimed, the "AMD OVERCLOCKING" section is only available for ryzen 3xxx and up, but i've seen the menu in overclocks with the 2700x, so this is invalid. Sadly, this is a new system and i have no other am4 cpu available to test if it's cpu dependant. If anybody has any idea how to tackle this problem, please let me know.
