As title states. I was gonna buy a new Galax/kfa2 RTX 2070 from amazon, which was gonna cost 499euro. Just before i bought i found a deal, for a use Aorus gtx 1080ti for 550eur. After asking, the seller re-assured me that the card was not used for mining, and that it was only used for a year. Especially since the price will be nearly the same when considering shipping costs. I am looking for an opinions, is the risk of buying a used card worth having the performance difference ? Would a generation older card result in any problems down the line ?

Hi all, First post here. I have a lenovo Y510 with the the thunderbolt 3 USB c with a 1060 onboard with 16gb ram and a 7th gen i7 quad core (not sure which model exactly) I am looking to upgrade the system with either a EGPU from aurorus (the 2070 one) or buying a laptop with a near about graphics card. The aurorus unit is about 650 bucks while the laptop will be close to 2k I guess. I am a student so I need mobility so that's why a rig is out of the question. What do you think will get me a better performance? The EGPU or a new laptop? I have a Monitor that I can hook up the EGPU for added performance FYI. Thanks in advance!

Just upgraded from a 21.5" 1080p 60hz panel to a 34" 1440p 120hz, and now I gotta drive it. Im upgrading my gpu, cpu, and possibly ram. With a 2070, what do you guys think should be paired with it. I'm sure I could probably get away with a 2600 or 2600x, but should I go with the 2700 instead? (2700x is 80$ more and theres a decent chance they will overclock similarly) Also right now I have 16gb of 3200mhz ram, should I buy another 16g kit or just wing it.

Hello, I bought a RTX 2070 to pair with my I7 8700K last friday. And I'm having some weird stutters, some of them happen when I play youtube music on the background and It lags my games. I managed to capture a video of me playing WoW and when the video changes the clocks go crazy. https://youtu.be/-cLEqQHP58A Got an i7 8700k stockRtx 2070 ventus stockCooler: NZXT Kraken X62RAM: G.SKill Trident Z 3000MhzPSU: Seasonic Focus+ 650W 80+ GoldTried the latest driver and an older version aswell (419.35)

So finally I have opportunity to replace my 980ti with I sold for 250€. I was planing to get EVGA RTX 2060 but now I'm wondering if extra 140€ over 2060 for 2070 is worth spending. I'm specifically looking at this cards EVGA RTX 2060 XC ULTRA Gaming (347€) EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 XC Gaming (487€) Prices are in euros. And because Europe is stupid 1 dolar equals 1 € I'm playing on 1440p ultrawide which is reason I wanted upgrade and to be honest I want RTX but not enough to get 2080 or 2080ti :D 2070 has around 10-15% higher performance over 2060 and especially that specific model supports 2080 waterblock which is plus for me because I have custom loop. Hope all this makes sence because English isn't my native :D

Hello, I'm currently interested in knowing if it is worth upgrading my GPU at this moment in time. I'm currently using - CPU - Ryzen 7 1700 (Stock) Cooler - wraith spire RGB cooler MOBO - GA-AX370-GAMING 5 GPU - Rx 470 RAM - 2x8gb corsair @3000mhz PSU - 750w EVGA G2 I'm looking to upgrade to either a 2060 or 2070, although I'm wondering if it would be worth the wait to see what else comes out of the 16 series, or the rumored Navi GPUs. I mainly play at 1080p@60hz and use two monitors, but I would like the choice to move to either 1080p@120/144hz or 1440p in the future.

Is the ASUS GeForce RTX 2070 Overclocked O8G really worth it?
AlanE posted a topic in Graphics Cards
I am rebuilding my gaming PC, I have put heavy loads on my PC throughout its life and now I want a high end PC that can handle what ever I throw at it. I have been looking at the ASUS ROG GeForce 2070 as my next GPU. I have seen some bad reviews on these cards. Can anyone help my find the right GPU for my system? I prefer ASUS modified cards. Just about anything would be better than what I have, but I want something that would go well with my system. I don't really want to shell out $850 on the ASUS ROG 2080, but would that be the best for my system? I to hear from other users what they have found from Nvidia's new line of GPUs and AMD. I don't want to buy a card that will last a month or so. I want a card that will last years. My AMD Radeon 6970 is a perfect example of long lasting, but it's weak. It was a part of the first build when I was in high school. Current specs: Motherboard: ASUS ROG Crosshair VII Hero (Wi-Fi) CPU: AMD Ryzen 2700x RAM: Corsair vengeance LPX DDR4 3000 (8GB x 4) SSD: Samsung 970 PRO 512GB - NVMe M.2 2280 GPU: AMD power color Radeon 6970 -
Hi All, I'm getting an RTX 2070, and I know that nvidia recommends at least a 550w psu for that card, but I only have a 500w psu. This is my current PSU: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/zNK7YJ/evga-power-supply-100b10500kr This is the card I'm getting: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16814932094 I am planning to overclock, and the rest of my system are as follows: Gigabyte b350 gaming 3 @3.9ghz Ryzen 5 2400G 16gb 2666 Geil ddr4 2 - 320GB hard Drive 1tb Samsung Evo 850 1tb Seagate HDD 7200rpm the psu noted above Thank You!

Hi All, Quick question: I have a r5 2400g @3.9ghz, and am planning on getting an rtx 2070. Will my cpu bottleneck due to only having 8x pcie lanes, or does that not matter? Will it bottleneck in any other way? I've heard that having less pcie lanes will bottleneck, but also heard that gpus usually don't use the all of the pcie x16 bandwidth. Gaming at 2560x1080, 75hz (I know the 2070 is a little overkill for that monitor, but you know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ). Let me know if there are any other questions, thanks! And for Games, lets see: F1 2018 Forza Horizon 3 DiRT Rally Far Cry New Dawn Games Like that..........

SO I've been looking around to see if there is any water blocks available for the Nvidia Founders Edition RTX 2070 and i haven't had much luck finding one. i have seen some that will work on other 2070's but not Nvidia's Founders Edition. Has anyone come across one or heard if there is going to be one coming out?

Hey guys, I currently have a i7 4790k and would like to upgrade to a newer CPU because I'm kinda bottlenecked here with my 2070. Or do I just feel like that? I have only around 50-60 FPS in 1440p playing Battlefield V. Not sure if this is a bottleneck or it's just fine for a RTX 2070. If it's a bottleneck, can you recommend me any good CPU for around 400 EUR max.? Thanks in advance!

The last time I used MSI/Gigabyte OC Scanner. The GPU sounded like it was at the point of blowing up or the fans are about to fly off at high speed and decapitate anyone in the room. This only happens for about 4 seconds at the beginning then RPM go back to normal, has anyone had this issue? I would OC manually but 1hr for little to no performance boost isn't worth it.

I recently bought a RTX 2070 to upgrade to from my old 1070. After installing it my performance only increased a little bit and not like what others have been reporting. I get around 18600 in 3DMark Fire Strike while others get around 24000 with the same card. I remember I had this issue when upgrading to my 1070 a while back but I remember having to just reset windows to fix the problem and I would like to not do that this time. I have tried uninstalling the drivers in device manager and in settings>Apps & Features and reinstalling to the first driver version that launch with the RTX lineup. Everything I tried left me with the same results. My specs: i7-8700k Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Gaming 3 WiFi 32gb ram EVGA RTX 2070 Black Thermaltake 650W PSU Any help in figuring this our is much appreciated.

Hey everyone, I just upgraded to a 2070 after my 780 died. My issue is trying to play less intensive games such as CSGO or League of Legends. CS is using about 30% of both gpu and cpu, with very unstable frame rates of ~100 fps - 150, spiking to 200 at times, and dropping to 60. Leauge is using about 35% cpu and 15% gpu usage, while being very unstable with fps, usually under 100 and consistantly dropping or stuttering when there is action. My gpu temperature during both games is about 42 degrees. Cpu temperatures go up to about 50 degrees. Running games such as The Witcher 3 and BF1 are fine, seeing 100+ fps, 95%+ gpu usage, and ~70% cpu usage. All settings are maxed out. My card gets up to 50 degrees. I am not sure how to improve my performance as it seems that my card is not being pushed. I mainly want to achieve a higher fps and greater concistency. My 780 would always run at full power and get 250+ fps in CS, and about 150 in league. In The Witcher 3 I would get about 50fps with medium settings predominantly, and hairworks. Seeing how well The Witcher 3 and BF1 run expresses to me that my system should be able to run these less intensive games a lot better. I have updated all drivers, bios, and ensured my nvidia control power settings are set to max performance. Could my system be throttled somehow causing the less intense games to not run very well? i7 4771 - air cooled Gigabyte RTX 2070 3 fans 16gb 1600mhz Corsair Ram 1080p 144hz BenQ Windows 10 Latest drivers and bios

So I had to RMA a old 980ti. And got. RTX 2070 well that card did last a day before it caused Nvidia driver to crash windows. Got then a new 2070 and well hello artifacts Both the 2070 cards have been "Gainward GeForce RTX 2070 Phoenix GS" just wondering what other people's experience have been with it. in the timeframe from the 980ti dieing and up to now I have used a 970 that have had no issue, my PSU is 850w, since I have had other people blame the PSU being to weak (until they know the W) I have only used software to monitor, not to OC or adjust any setings

Hi, I'm in the market for a small upgrade to my system. I already have a g-sync monitor so I'm planning on staying with Nvidia, either a 2060 or 2070. I've been seeing a lot of bad reviews on newegg and amazon for a lot of 2070 cards from many manufactures. Basically there are defective cards/fans/software all over the place. Now most of those were sort of that post black friday/xmas run, and maybe a few weeks later the bad apples in the early batches have been shook from the tree. I'd maybe prefer to get a 2060 and save my money up for a CPU upgrade (I have a 6600k now, would like to jump to 9700k, but they are expensive so might just wait until next year to get 10nm intel). But the 2060's are just coming out and there's no reason to believe they will be any more reliable than the problem plagued 2070's. Should I continue to wait? Should I just get one from EVGA and hope I don't get a dud? Thanks!

Just ran 3D Mark and got a graphics score of 8514 with 2070 windforce at stock is it under performing?

So recently my 980ti decided it wasn't meant for this world and died on me and I'm looking for an alternative now. My question is, would the 2070 be worth the price diff with the 2060? I can't really splurge out more than 550-600 on a gpu rn so a 2080 is out of the budget sadly. Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance!

I have an i5-4440 with a GTX 1050TI... And I think it's time to change. My to-be build is an i7 8700 (non-k) with an RTX 2070. I'm wondering if now is a great time to upgrade, and also if the 2070 is good for 1440p at 144hz, OR should I buy an RTX 2080. Note: I AM NOT GOING TO USE RAY-TRACING. I'm going to play: Apex Legends, Counter-strike, Overwatch, R6S, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, AC Odyssey, Anthem, Metro Exodus, and some more.

Hello there! So i recently decided to upgrade my pc’s GPU. I want to quickly add, that i am NOT a tech-expert by any means, which is why i ask for help here. I know the basics, and that’s it. I will list the old specs below: Motherboard: MSI H81M-P33 CPU: i5-4460 (watercooled) RAM: 2x4GB 1600mhz DDR3 GPU: MSI GTX 960 2GB Windows 10 on SSD The pc is now 3 years old, and was running fine. Nothing impressive at all, but it was fine for me. The only game i was having slight trouble with, was PUBG on lowest settings, pushing out 50fps or something like that, but that was it. It was only until i bought Black Ops 4, i really ran into problems. The game had to run at 720p, lowest settings available, pushing 20-30fps at best, with extremely pixilated performance (looked like 240p, not over-exaggerating). I had an idea, that the 2gb VRAM was the big problem, so i decided to upgrade the GPU. I also wanted to be sure to be able to output 1440p or better, while being at it, so i went with an RTX 2070. After installing the new GPU, i ran into a new problem. Let’s take PUBG as an example. The PC was pushing the game at about 50fps on average (but with bad stuttering at times), no matter settings or resolution, so it was pretty much like my GTX 960, just in 4k, and felt a little bit more stuttery. The game was just about playable, until a gunfight occurred, which drained the fps to about 20fps. I don’t remember the GPU usage (%), but i know it was not 100%. The cpu’s usage was 100% constantly. RAM usage was about 60-70%, and everything else was also fine, so it was obvious to me, that the CPU was bottlenecking. To back the CPU-bottleneck statement up; while playing PUBG, my friends’ voices in Discord was laggy, and sometimes it was literally impossible to understand what they were saying, yet the game played fine. Now, that was day one’s stats. Day two was pretty much the same, but a little better. PUBG’s fps was like 50-60fps (maybe 70 peak but still stuttery) as i remember, and still settings and resolution did not change anything. Day three was different though. I was still getting the 50-60fps (maybe 70 peak), and still stuttery. But this time, when i changed the resolution from 4k to 1440p, the fps changed for once. By outputting in 1440p, i was able to achieve 80-90fps (100 peak). It was still a tiny bit stuttery, but it was absolutely playable, even in gunfights. When changing to 1080p, it was also 80-90fps, but changing back to 4k would put it back to 50-60fps. The RAM is still 60-70% and the CPU also 100% pretty much constantly. I am now looking at CPU-solutions. The motherboard is an LGA-1150 socket, so the best CPU possible, would be a i7-4790K, which i would assume would be fine in itself. The problem is, the CPU is discontinued and is almost impossible to find used. The LGA-1150 CPU’s below is not worth the upgrade, according to calculators around on the internet, so the only other solution would be to upgrade the motherboard to a LGA-1151 socket, but then i would also have to upgrade the RAM to DDR4. At that point, it is really just too expensive for me at the moment (even the RTX 2070 was anyway) So for the time being, i would love to get some ideas on how to get the best out of my current situation as possible, aswell as long-term solutions when the money are there. Maybe some of my statements are incorrect aswell? Thank you!
